اِ۬لْحَمْدُ لِلهِ فَاطِرِ اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِ جَاعِلِ اِ۬لْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ رُسُلاً ا۟وْلِےٓ أَجْنِحَةٖ مَّثْن۪ىٰ وَثُلَٰثَ وَرُبَٰعَۖ يَزِيدُ فِے اِ۬لْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَآءُۖ اِ۪نَّ اَ۬للَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَےْءٖ قَدِيرٞۖ ﰀ

Alhamdu lillâhi fâtiri ssamâwâti walardi jâ‘ili lmalâ'ikati rusulan ulî ajnihatim mathnê wathulâtha warubâ‘a yazîdu fî lkhalqi mâ yashâ'u nna llâha ‘alâ kulli shay'in qadîr

Louange à Allah, Créateur des cieux et de la terre, qui a fait des Anges des messagers dotés de deux, trois ou quatre ailes. Il ajoute à la création ce qu'Il veut, car Allah est Omnipotent

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent

مَّا يَفْتَحِ اِ۬للَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِن رَّحْمَةٖ فَلَا مُمْسِكَ لَهَاۖ وَمَا يُمْسِكْ فَلَا مُرْسِلَ لَهُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لْعَزِيزُ اُ۬لْحَكِيمُۖ ﰁ

Mâ yaftahi llâhu linnâsi mir rahmatin falâ mumsika lahâ wamâ yumsik falâ mursila lahû mim ba‘dihî wahuwa l‘azîzu lhakîm

Ce qu'Allah accorde en miséricorde aux gens, il n'est personne à pouvoir le retenir. Et ce qu'Il retient, il n'est personne à le relâcher après Lui. Et c'est Lui le Puissant, le Sage

Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّاسُ اُ۟ذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتَ اَ۬للَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْۖ هَلْ مِنْ خَٰلِقٍ غَيْرُ اُ۬للَّهِ يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ اَ۬لسَّمَآءِ وَالَارْضِۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ فَأَنّ۪ىٰ تُوفَكُونَۖ ﰂ

Yâ'ayyuhâ nnâsu dhkurû ni‘mata llâhi ‘alaykum hal min khâliqin ghayru llâhi yarzuqukum mina ssamâ'i walardi lâ ilâha illâ huwa fa'annê tûfakûn

O hommes! Rappelez-vous le bienfait d'Allah sur vous: existe-t-il en dehors d'Allah, un créateur qui du ciel et de la terre vous attribue votre subsistance? Point de divinité à part Lui! Comment pouvez-vous vous détourner [de cette vérité]

O mankind, remember the favor of Allah upon you. Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the heaven and earth? There is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded

وَإِنْ يُّكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٞ مِّن قَبْلِكَۖ وَإِلَى اَ۬للَّهِ تُرْجَعُ اُ۬لُامُورُۖ ﰃ

Wa'iy yukadhdhibûka faqad kudhdhibat rusulum min qablika wa'ilâ llâhi turja‘u lumûr

Et s'ils te traitent de menteur, certes on a traité de menteurs des Messagers avant toi. Vers Allah cependant, tout est ramené

And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - already were messengers denied before you. And to Allah are returned [all] matters

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّاسُ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اَ۬للَّهِ حَقّٞۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ اُ۬لْحَيَوٰةُ اُ۬لدُّنْي۪اۖ وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِاللَّهِ اِ۬لْغَرُورُۖ ﰄ

Yâ'ayyuhâ nnâsu inna wa‘da llâhi haqqun falâ taghurrannakumu lhayawâtu ddunyê walâ yaghurrannakum billâhi lgharûr

O hommes! La promesse d'Allah est vérité. Ne laissez pas la vie présente vous tromper, et que le grand trompeur (Satan) ne vous trompe pas à propos d'Allah

O mankind, indeed the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver

إِنَّ اَ۬لشَّيْطَٰنَ لَكُمْ عَدُوّٞ فَاتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوّاًۖ اِنَّمَا يَدْعُواْ حِزْبَهُۥ لِيَكُونُواْ مِنَ اَصْحَٰبِ اِ۬لسَّعِيرِۖ ﰅ

Inna shshaytâna lakum ‘aduwwun fattakhidhûhu ‘aduwwani nnamâ yad‘û hizbahû liyakûnû mina shâbi ssa‘îr

Le Diable est pour vous un ennemi. Prenez-le donc pour ennemi. Il ne fait qu'appeler ses partisans pour qu'ils soient des gens de la Fournaise

Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze

اِ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَهُمْ عَذَابٞ شَدِيدٞۖ وَالذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٞ وَأَجْرٞ كَبِيرٌۖ ﰆ

Alladhîna kafarû lahum ‘adhâbun shadîdun walladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti lahum maghfiratun wa'ajrun kabîr

Ceux qui ont mécru auront un dur châtiment, tandis que ceux qui croient et accomplissent les bonnes œuvres auront un pardon et une grosse récompense

Those who disbelieve will have a severe punishment, and those who believe and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and great reward

۞ اَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ فَر۪ء۪اهُ حَسَناٗۖ فَإِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ وَيَهْدِے مَنْ يَّشَآءُۖ فَلَا تَذْهَبْ نَفْسُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسَرَٰتٍۖ اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ عَلِيمُۢ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَۖ ﰇ

Afaman zuyyina lahû sû'u ‘amalihî fare'êhu hasanan fa'inna llâha yudillu may yashâ'u wayahdî may yashâ'u falâ tadhhab nafsuka ‘alayhim hasarâtini nna llâha ‘alîmum bimâ yasna‘ûn

Eh quoi! Celui à qui on a enjolivé sa mauvaise action au point qu'il la voit belle...? - Mais Allah égare qui Il veut, et guide qui Il veut - Que ton âme ne se répande donc pas en regrets pour eux: Allah est Parfaitement Savant de ce qu'ils fabriquent

Then is one to whom the evil of his deed has been made attractive so he considers it good [like one rightly guided]? For indeed, Allah sends astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. So do not let yourself perish over them in regret. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what they do

وَاللَّهُ اُ۬لذِےٓ أَرْسَلَ اَ۬لرِّيَٰحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَاباٗ فَسُقْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٖ مَّيِّتٖ فَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ اِ۬لَارْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَاۖ كَذَٰلِكَ اَ۬لنُّشُورُۖ ﰈ

Wallâhu lladhî arsala rriyâha fatuthîru sahâban fasuqnâhu ilâ baladim mayyitin fa'ahyaynâ bihi larda ba‘da mawtihâ kadhâlika nnushûr

Et c'est Allah qui envoie les vents qui soulèvent un nuage que Nous poussons ensuite vers une contrée morte; puis, Nous redonnons la vie à la terre après sa mort. C'est ainsi que se fera la Résurrection

And it is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land and give life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Thus is the resurrection

مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ اُ۬لْعِزَّةَ فَلِلهِ اِ۬لْعِزَّةُ جَمِيعاًۖ اِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ اُ۬لْكَلِمُ اُ۬لطَّيِّبُۖ وَالْعَمَلُ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحُ يَرْفَعُهُۥۖ وَالذِينَ يَمْكُرُونَ اَ۬لسَّيِّـَٔاتِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٞ شَدِيدٞۖ وَمَكْرُ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُوَ يَبُورُۖ ﰉ

Man kâna yurîdu l‘izzata falillâhi l‘izzatu jamî‘ani layhi yas‘adu lkalimu ttayyibu wal‘amalu ssâlihu yarfa‘uhû walladhîna yamkurûna ssayyi'âti lahum ‘adhâbun shadîdun wamakru ulâ'ika huwa yabûr

Quiconque veut la puissance (qu'il la cherche auprès d'Allah) car la puissance tout entière est à Allah: vers Lui monte la bonne parole, et Il élève haut la bonne action. Et quand à ceux qui complotent de mauvaises actions, ils auront un dur châtiment. Cependant, leur stratagème est voué à l'échec

Whoever desires honor [through power] - then to Allah belongs all honor. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those - it will perish

وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٖ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٖ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمُۥٓ أَزْوَٰجاٗۖ وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنُ ا۟نث۪ىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلْمِهِۦۖ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِن مُّعَمَّرٖ وَلَا يُنقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِهِۦٓ إِلَّا فِے كِتَٰبٍۖ اِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ يَسِيرٞۖ ﰊ

Wallâhu khalaqakum min turâbin thumma min nutfatin thumma ja‘alakumû azwâjan wamâ tahmilu minu unthê walâ tada‘u illâ bi‘ilmihî wamâ yu‘ammaru mim mu‘ammarin walâ yunqasu min ‘umurihî illâ fî kitâbini nna dhâlika ‘alâ llâhi yasîr

Et Allah vous a créés de terre, puis d'une goutte de sperme, Il vous a ensuite établis en couples. Nulle femelle ne porte ni ne met bas sans qu'Il le sache. Et aucune existence n'est prolongée ou abrégée sans que cela soit consigné dans un livre. Cela est vraiment facile pour Allah

And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy

وَمَا يَسْتَوِے اِ۬لْبَحْرَٰنِۖ هَٰذَا عَذْبٞ فُرَاتٞ سَآئِغٞ شَرَابُهُۥ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ ا۟جَاجٞۖ وَمِن كُلّٖ تَاكُلُونَ لَحْماٗ طَرِيّاٗ وَتَسْتَخْرِجُونَ حِلْيَةٗ تَلْبَسُونَهَاۖ وَتَرَى اَ۬لْفُلْكَ فِيهِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبْتَغُواْ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَۖ ﰋ

Wamâ yastawî lbahrâni hâdhâ ‘adhbun furâtun sâ'ighun sharâbuhû wahâdhâ milhun ujâjun wamin kullin tâkulûna lahman tariyyan watastakhrijûna hilyatan talbasûnahâ watarâ lfulka fîhi mawâkhira litabtaghû min fadlihî wala‘allakum tashkurûn

Les deux mers ne sont pas identiques: [l'eau de] celle-ci est potable, douce et agréable à boire, et celle-là est salée, amère. Cependant de chacune vous mangez une chair fraîche, et vous extrayez un ornement que vous portez. Et tu vois le vaisseau fendre l'eau avec bruit, pour que vous cherchiez certains [des produits] de Sa grâce. Peut-être serez-vous reconnaissants

And not alike are the two bodies of water. One is fresh and sweet, palatable for drinking, and one is salty and bitter. And from each you eat tender meat and extract ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships plowing through [them] that you might seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful

يُولِجُ اُ۬ليْلَ فِے اِ۬لنَّه۪ارِ وَيُولِجُ اُ۬لنَّهَارَ فِے اِ۬ليْلِۖ وَسَخَّرَ اَ۬لشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَۖ كُلّٞ يَجْرِے لِأَجَلٖ مُّسَمّىٗۖ ذَٰلِكُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ اُ۬لْمُلْكُۖ وَالذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِن قِطْمِيرٍۖ ﰌ

Yûliju llayla fî nnahêri wayûliju nnahâra fî llayli wasakhkhara shshamsa walqamara kullun yajrî li'ajalim musamman dhâlikumu llâhu rabbukum lahu lmulku walladhîna tad‘ûna min dûnihî mâ yamlikûna min qitmîr

Il fait que la nuit pénètre le jour et que le jour pénètre la nuit. Et Il a soumis le soleil et la lune. Chacun d'eux s'achemine vers un terme fixé. Tel est Allah, votre Seigneur: à Lui appartient la royauté, tandis que ceux que vous invoquez, en dehors de Lui, ne sont même pas maîtres de la pellicule d'un noyau de datte

He causes the night to enter the day, and He causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon - each running [its course] for a specified term. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs sovereignty. And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed

اِن تَدْعُوهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُواْ دُعَآءَكُمْ وَلَوْ سَمِعُواْ مَا اَ۪سْتَجَابُواْ لَكُمْۖ وَيَوْمَ اَ۬لْقِيَٰمَةِ يَكْفُرُونَ بِشِرْكِكُمْۖ وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثْلُ خَبِيرٖۖ ﰍ

In tad‘ûhum lâ yasma‘û du‘â'akum walaw sami‘û mâ stajâbû lakum wayawma lqiyâmati yakfurûna bishirkikum walâ yunabbî'uka mithlu khabîr

Si vous les invoquez, ils n'entendent pas votre invocation; et même s'ils entendaient, ils ne sauraient vous répondre. Et le jour du Jugement ils vont nier votre association. Nul ne peut te donner des nouvelles comme Celui qui est parfaitement informé

If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like [one] Acquainted [with all matters]

۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّاسُ أَنتُمُ اُ۬لْفُقَرَآءُ اِ۪لَى اَ۬للَّهِۖ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ اَ۬لْغَنِيُّ اُ۬لْحَمِيدُۖ ﰎ

Yâ'ayyuhâ nnâsu antumu lfuqarâ'u lâ llâhi wallâhu huwa lghaniyyu lhamîd

O hommes, vous êtes les indigents ayant besoin d'Allah, et c'est Allah, Lui qui se dispense de tout et Il est Le Digne de louange

O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy

إِنْ يَّشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَاتِ بِخَلْقٖ جَدِيدٖۖ ﰏ

Iy yasha' yudhhibkum wayâti bikhalqin jadîd

S'Il voulait, Il vous ferait disparaître, et ferait surgir une nouvelle création

If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation

وَمَا ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ بِعَزِيزٖۖ ﰐ

Wamâ dhâlika ‘alâ llâhi bi‘azîz

Et cela n'est point difficile pour Allah

And that is for Allah not difficult

وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٞ وِزْرَ أُخْر۪ىٰۖ وَإِن تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَةٌ اِلَىٰ حِمْلِهَا لَا يُحْمَلْ مِنْهُ شَےْءٞ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْب۪ىٰٓۖ إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ اُ۬لذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ وَأَقَامُواْ اُ۬لصَّلَوٰةَۖ وَمَن تَزَكّ۪ىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَتَزَكّ۪ىٰ لِنَفْسِهِۦۖ وَإِلَى اَ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لْمَصِيرُۖ ﰑ

Walâ taziru wâziratun wizra ukhrê wa'in tad‘u muthqalatuni lâ himlihâ lâ yuhmal minhu shay'un walaw kâna dhâ qurbê innamâ tundhiru lladhîna yakhshawna rabbahum bilghaybi wa'aqâmû ssalawâta waman tazakkê fa'innamâ yatazakkê linafsihî wa'ilâ llâhi lmasîr

Or, personne ne portera le fardeau d'autrui. Et si une âme surchargée [de péchés] appelle à l'aide, rien de sa charge ne sera supporté par une autre même si c'est un proche parent. Tu n'avertis en fait, que ceux qui craignent leur Seigneur malgré qu'ils ne Le voient pas, et qui accomplissent la Salât. Et quiconque se purifie ne se purifie que pour lui-même, et vers Allah est la destination

And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination

وَمَا يَسْتَوِے اِ۬لَاعْم۪ىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُ ﰒ

Wamâ yastawî la‘mê walbasîr

L'aveugle et celui qui voit ne sont pas semblables

Not equal are the blind and the seeing

وَلَا اَ۬لظُّلُمَٰتُ وَلَا اَ۬لنُّورُ ﰓ

Walâ zzulumâtu walâ nnûr

ni les ténèbres et la lumière

Nor are the darknesses and the light

وَلَا اَ۬لظِّلُّ وَلَا اَ۬لْحَرُورُۖ ﰔ

Walâ zzillu walâ lharûr

ni l'ombre et la chaleur ardente

Nor are the shade and the heat

وَمَا يَسْتَوِے اِ۬لَاحْيَآءُ وَلَا اَ۬لَامْوَٰتُۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ يُسْمِعُ مَنْ يَّشَآءُۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ بِمُسْمِعٖ مَّن فِے اِ۬لْقُبُورِۖ ﰕ

Wamâ yastawî lahyâ'u walâ lamwâtu inna llâha yusmi‘u may yashâ'u wamâ anta bimusmi‘im man fî lqubûr

De même, ne sont pas semblables les vivants et les morts. Allah fait entendre qui Il veut, alors que toi [Muhammad], tu ne peux faire entendre ceux qui sont dans les tombeaux

And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves

إِنَ اَنتَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌۖ ﰖ

Ina nta illâ nadhîr

Tu n'es qu'un avertisseur

You, [O Muhammad], are not but a warner

اِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيراٗ وَنَذِيراٗۖ وَإِن مِّنُ ا۟مَّةٍ اِلَّا خَلَا فِيهَا نَذِيرٞۖ ﰗ

Innâ arsalnâka bilhaqqi bashîran wanadhîran wa'im minu ummatini llâ khalâ fîhâ nadhîr

Nous t'avons envoyé avec la Vérité en tant qu'annonciateur et avertisseur. Il n'est pas une nation qui n'ait déjà eu un avertisseur

Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner

وَإِنْ يُّكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ اَ۬لذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَبِالزُّبُرِ وَبِالْكِتَٰبِ اِ۬لْمُنِيرِ ﰘ

Wa'iy yukadhdhibûka faqad kadhdhaba lladhîna min qablihim jâ'athum rusuluhum bilbayyinâti wabiâzzuburi wabiâlkitâbi lmunîr

Et s'ils te traitent de menteur, eh bien, ceux d'avant eux avaient traité (leurs Messagers) de menteurs, cependant que leurs Messagers leur avaient apporté les preuves, les Ecrits et le Livre illuminant

And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture

ثُمَّ أَخَذتُّ اُ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُواْۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِۦٓۖ ﰙ

Thumma akhadhttu lladhîna kafarû fakayfa kâna nakîrî

Puis J'ai saisi ceux qui ont mécru. Et quelle réprobation fut la Mienne

Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ اَ۬لسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦ ثَمَرَٰتٖ مُّخْتَلِفاً اَلْوَٰنُهَاۖ وَمِنَ اَ۬لْجِبَالِ جُدَدُۢ بِيضٞ وَحُمْرٞ مُّخْتَلِفٌ اَلْوَٰنُهَا وَغَرَابِيبُ سُودٞۖ ﰚ

Alam tara anna llâha anzala mina ssamâ'i mâ'an fa'akhrajnâ bihî thamarâtim mukhtalifana lwânuhâ wamina ljibâli judadum bîdun wahumrum mukhtalifuna lwânuhâ wagharâbîbu sûd

N'as-tu pas vu que, du ciel, Allah fait descendre l'eau? Puis Nous en faisons sortir des fruits de couleurs différentes. Et dans les montagnes, il y a des sillons blancs et rouges, de couleurs différentes, et des roches excessivement noires

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby fruits of varying colors? And in the mountains are tracts, white and red of varying shades and [some] extremely black

وَمِنَ اَ۬لنَّاسِ وَالدَّوَآبِّ وَالَانْعَٰمِ مُخْتَلِفٌ اَلْوَٰنُهُۥ كَذَٰلِكَۖ إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اَ۬للَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ اِ۬لْعُلَمَٰٓؤُاْۖ اِ۪نَّ اَ۬للَّهَ عَزِيزٌ غَفُورٌۖ ﰛ

Wamina nnâsi waddawâbbi walan‘âmi mukhtalifuna lwânuhû kadhâlika innamâ yakhshâ llâha min ‘ibâdihi l‘ulamâ'u nna llâha ‘azîzun ghafûr

Il y a pareillement des couleurs différentes, parmi les hommes, les animaux, et les bestiaux. Parmi Ses serviteurs, seuls les savants craignent Allah. Allah est, certes, Puissant et Pardonneur

And among people and moving creatures and grazing livestock are various colors similarly. Only those fear Allah, from among His servants, who have knowledge. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Forgiving

اِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَٰبَ اَ۬للَّهِ وَأَقَامُواْ اُ۬لصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ سِرّاٗ وَعَلَٰنِيَةٗ يَرْجُونَ تِجَٰرَةٗ لَّن تَبُورَ ﰜ

Inna lladhîna yatlûna kitâba llâhi wa'aqâmû ssalawâta wa'anfaqû mimmâ razaqnâhum sirran wa‘alâniyatan yarjûna tijâratal lan tabûr

Ceux qui récitent le Livre d'Allah, accomplissent la Salât, et dépensent, en secret et en public de ce que Nous leur avons attribué, espèrent ainsi faire un commerce qui ne périra jamais

Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a profit that will never perish

لِيُوَفِّيَهُمُۥٓ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدَهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ غَفُورٞ شَكُورٞۖ ﰝ

Liyuwaffiyahumû ujûrahum wayazîdahum min fadlihî innahû ghafûrun shakûr

afin [qu'Allah] les récompense pleinement et leur ajoute de Sa grâce. Il est Pardonneur et Reconnaissant

That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative

۞ وَالذِےٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبِ هُوَ اَ۬لْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقاٗ لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ لَخَبِيرُۢ بَصِيرٞۖ ﰞ

Walladhî awhaynâ ilayka mina lkitâbi huwa lhaqqu musaddiqal limâ bayna yadayhi inna llâha bi‘ibâdihî lakhabîrum basîr

Et ce que Nous t'avons révélé du Livre est la Vérité confirmant ce qui l'a précédé. Certes Allah est Parfaitement Connaisseur et Clairvoyant sur Ses serviteurs

And that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], of the Book is the truth, confirming what was before it. Indeed, Allah, of His servants, is Acquainted and Seeing

ثُمَّ أَوْرَثْنَا اَ۬لْكِتَٰبَ اَ۬لذِينَ اَ۪صْطَفَيْنَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَاۖ فَمِنْهُمْ ظَالِمٞ لِّنَفْسِهِۦۖ وَمِنْهُم مُّقْتَصِدٞۖ وَمِنْهُمْ سَابِقُۢ بِالْخَيْرَٰتِ بِإِذْنِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ اَ۬لْفَضْلُ اُ۬لْكَبِيرُۖ ﰟ

Thumma awrathnâ lkitâba lladhîna stafaynâ min ‘ibâdinâ faminhum zâlimul linafsihî waminhum muqtasidun waminhum sâbiqum bilkhayrâti bi'idhni llâhi dhâlika huwa lfadlu lkabîr

Ensuite, Nous fîmes héritiers du Livre ceux de Nos serviteurs que Nous avons choisis. Il en est parmi eux qui font du tort à eux-mêmes, d'autres qui se tiennent sur une voie moyenne, et d'autres avec la permission d'Allah devancent [tous les autres] par leurs bonnes actions; telle est la grâce infinie

Then we caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our servants; and among them is he who wrongs himself, and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of Allah. That [inheritance] is what is the great bounty

جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٖ يَدْخُلُونَهَا يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنَ اَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٖ وَلُؤْلُؤاٗۖ وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٞۖ ﰠ

Jannâtu ‘adnin yadkhulûnahâ yuhallawna fîhâ mina sâwira min dhahabin walu'lu'an walibâsuhum fîhâ harîr

Les jardins d'Eden où ils entreront, parés de bracelets en or ainsi que de perles; et là, leurs vêtements sont de soie

[For them are] gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk

وَقَالُواْ اُ۬لْحَمْدُ لِلهِ اِ۬لذِےٓ أَذْهَبَ عَنَّا اَ۬لْحَزَنَ إِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُورٞ شَكُورٌۖ ﰡ

Waqâlû lhamdu lillâhi lladhî adhhaba ‘annâ lhazana inna rabbanâ laghafûrun shakûr

Et ils diront: «Louange à Allah qui a écarté de nous l'affliction. Notre Seigneur est certes Pardonneur et Reconnaissant

And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative

اِ۬لذِےٓ أَحَلَّنَا دَارَ اَ۬لْمُقَامَةِ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ لَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا نَصَبٞ وَلَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا لُغُوبٞۖ ﰢ

Alladhî ahallanâ dâra lmuqâmati min fadlihî lâ yamassunâ fîhâ nasabun walâ yamassunâ fîhâ lughûb

C'est Lui qui nous a installés, par Sa grâce, dans la Demeure de la stabilité, où nulle fatigue, nulle lassitude ne nous touchent»

He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]

وَالذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَهُمْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يُقْض۪ىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَمُوتُواْ وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُم مِّنْ عَذَابِهَاۖ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِے كُلَّ كَفُورٖۖ ﰣ

Walladhîna kafarû lahum nâru jahannama lâ yuqdê ‘alayhim fayamûtû walâ yukhaffafu ‘anhum min ‘adhâbihâ kadhâlika najzî kulla kafûr

Et ceux qui ont mécru auront le feu de l'Enfer: on ne les achève pas pour qu'ils meurent; on ne leur allège rien de ses tourments. C'est ainsi que Nous récompensons tout négateur obstiné

And for those who disbelieve will be the fire of Hell. [Death] is not decreed for them so they may die, nor will its torment be lightened for them. Thus do we recompense every ungrateful one

وَهُمْ يَصْطَرِخُونَ فِيهَا رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَٰلِحاً غَيْرَ اَ۬لذِے كُنَّا نَعْمَلُۖ أَوَلَمْ نُعَمِّرْكُم مَّا يَتَذَكَّرُ فِيهِ مَن تَذَكَّرَ وَجَآءَكُمُ اُ۬لنَّذِيرُۖ فَذُوقُواْۖ فَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٍۖ ﰤ

Wahum yastarikhûna fîhâ rabbanâ akhrijnâ na‘mal sâlihan ghayra lladhî kunnâ na‘malu awalam nu‘ammirkum mâ yatadhakkaru fîhi man tadhakkara wajâ'akumu nnadhîru fadhûqû famâ lizzâlimîna min nasîr

Et là, ils hurleront: «Seigneur, fais-nous sortir; nous ferons le bien, contrairement à ce que nous faisions». «Ne vous avons-Nous pas donné une vie assez longue pour que celui qui réfléchit réfléchisse? L'avertisseur, cependant, vous était venu. Et bien, goûtez (votre punition). Car pour les injustes, il n'y a pas de secoureur»

And they will cry out therein, "Our Lord, remove us; we will do righteousness - other than what we were doing!" But did We not grant you life enough for whoever would remember therein to remember, and the warner had come to you? So taste [the punishment], for there is not for the wrongdoers any helper

اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ عَٰلِمُ غَيْبِ اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ اِ۬لصُّدُورِۖ ﰥ

Inna llâha ‘âlimu ghaybi ssamâwâti walardi innahû ‘alîmum bidhâti ssudûr

Allah connaît l'Inconnaissable dans les cieux et la terre. Il connaît le contenu des poitrines

Indeed, Allah is Knower of the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and earth. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts

هُوَ اَ۬لذِے جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ فَمَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُۥۖ وَلَا يَزِيدُ اُ۬لْكٰ۪فِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمُۥٓ إِلَّا مَقْتاٗۖ وَلَا يَزِيدُ اُ۬لْكٰ۪فِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَاراٗۖ ﰦ

Huwa lladhî ja‘alakum khalâ'ifa fî lardi faman kafara fa‘alayhi kufruhû walâ yazîdu lkêfirîna kufruhum ‘inda rabbihimû illâ maqtan walâ yazîdu lkêfirîna kufruhumû illâ khasârâ

C'est Lui qui a fait de vous des successeurs sur terre. Quiconque mécroit, sa mécréance retombera sur lui. Leur mécréance n'ajoute aux mécréants qu'opprobre auprès de leur Seigneur. Leur mécréance n'ajoute que perte aux mécréants

It is He who has made you successors upon the earth. And whoever disbelieves - upon him will be [the consequence of] his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them in the sight of their Lord except in hatred; and the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them except in loss

قُلَ اَرَٰٓيْتُمْ شُرَكَآءَكُمُ اُ۬لذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ أَرُونِے مَاذَا خَلَقُواْ مِنَ اَ۬لَارْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٞ فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِۖ أَمَ اٰتَيْنَٰهُمْ كِتَٰباٗ فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَٰتٖ مِّنْهُۖ بَلِ اِنْ يَّعِدُ اُ۬لظَّٰلِمُونَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضاً اِلَّا غُرُوراًۖ ﰧ

Qula râytum shurakâ'akumu lladhîna tad‘ûna min dûni llâhi arûnî mâdhâ khalaqû mina lardi am lahum shirkun fî ssamâwâti ama âtaynâhum kitâban fahum ‘alâ bayyinâtim minhu bali y ya‘idu zzâlimûna ba‘duhum ba‘dani llâ ghurûrâ

Dis: «Voyez-vous vos associés que vous invoquez en dehors d'Allah? Montrez-moi ce qu'ils ont créé de la terre. Ont-ils été associés à la création des cieux? Ou leur avons-Nous apporté un Livre qui contienne des preuves [pour ce qu'ils font?]» Non! Mais ce n'est qu'en tromperie que les injustes se font des promesses les uns aux autres

Say, "Have you considered your 'partners' whom you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created from the earth, or have they partnership [with Him] in the heavens? Or have We given them a book so they are [standing] on evidence therefrom? [No], rather, the wrongdoers do not promise each other except delusion

۞ اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ يُمْسِكُ اُ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضَ أَن تَزُولَاۖ وَلَئِن زَالَتَآ إِنَ اَمْسَكَهُمَا مِنَ اَحَدٖ مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حَلِيماً غَفُوراٗۖ ﰨ

Inna llâha yumsiku ssamâwâti walarda an tazûlâ wala'in zâlatâ ina msakahumâ mina hadim mim ba‘dihî innahû kâna halîman ghafûrâ

Allah retient les cieux et la terre pour qu'ils ne s'affaissent pas. Et s'ils s'affaissaient, nul autre après Lui ne pourra les retenir. Il est Indulgent et Pardonneur

Indeed, Allah holds the heavens and the earth, lest they cease. And if they should cease, no one could hold them [in place] after Him. Indeed, He is Forbearing and Forgiving

وَأَقْسَمُواْ بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ لَئِن جَآءَهُمْ نَذِيرٞ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهْد۪ىٰ مِنِ اِحْدَى اَ۬لُامَمِۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ نَذِيرٞ مَّا زَادَهُمُۥٓ إِلَّا نُفُوراًۖ ﰩ

Wa'aqsamû billâhi jahda aymânihim la'in jâ'ahum nadhîrul layakûnunna ahdê mini hdâ lumami falammâ jâ'ahum nadhîrum mâ zâdahumû illâ nufûrâ

Et ils ont juré solennellement par Allah, que si un avertisseur leur venait, ils seraient certes mieux guidés que n'importe quelle autre communauté. Puis, quand un avertisseur (Muhammad) leur est venu, cela n'a fait qu'accroître leur répulsion

And they swore by Allah their strongest oaths that if a warner came to them, they would be more guided than [any] one of the [previous] nations. But when a warner came to them, it did not increase them except in aversion

اِ۪سْتِكْبَاراٗ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ وَمَكْرَ اَ۬لسَّيِّےِٕۖ وَلَا يَحِيقُ اُ۬لْمَكْرُ اُ۬لسَّيِّۓُ اِ۪لَّا بِأَهْلِهِۦۖ فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ اَ۬لَاوَّلِينَۖ فَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اِ۬للَّهِ تَبْدِيلاٗۖ ﰪ

Istikbâran fî lardi wamakra ssayyî'i walâ yahîqu lmakru ssayyî'u llâ bi'ahlihî fahal yanzurûna illâ sunnata lawwalîna falan tajida lisunnati llâhi tabdîlâ

par orgueil sur terre et par manœuvre perfide. Cependant, la manœuvre perfide n'enveloppe que ses propres auteurs. Attendent-ils donc un autre sort que celui des Anciens? Or, jamais tu ne trouveras de changement dans la règle d'Allah et jamais tu ne trouveras de déviation dans la règle d'Allah

[Due to] arrogance in the land and plotting of evil; but the evil plot does not encompass except its own people. Then do they await except the way of the former peoples? But you will never find in the way of Allah any change, and you will never find in the way of Allah any alteration

وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اِ۬للَّهِ تَحْوِيلاًۖ ﰫ

Walan tajida lisunnati llâhi tahwîlâ

اَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُواْ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ اُ۬لذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوٓاْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ لِيُعْجِزَهُۥ مِن شَےْءٖ فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَلِيماٗ قَدِيراٗۖ ﰬ

Awalam yasîrû fî lardi fayanzurû kayfa kâna ‘âqibatu lladhîna min qablihim wakânû ashadda minhum quwwatan wamâ kâna llâhu liyu‘jizahû min shay'in fî ssamâwâti walâ fî lardi innahû kâna ‘alîman qadîrâ

N'ont-ils donc jamais parcouru la terre pour voir ce qu'il est advenu de ceux qui vécurent avant eux et qui étaient plus puissants qu'eux? Et rien, dans les cieux ni sur terre ne saurait réduire l'autorité d'Allah. Car Il est certes Omniscient, Omnipotent

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? And they were greater than them in power. But Allah is not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent

وَلَوْ يُوَ۬اخِذُ اُ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لنَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُواْ مَا تَرَكَ عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِهَا مِن دَآبَّةٖۖ وَلَٰكِنْ يُّوَ۬خِّرُهُمُۥٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمّىٗۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ اجَلُهُمْ فَإِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ بَصِيراٗۖ ﰭ

Walaw yuwâkhidhu llâhu nnâsa bimâ kasabû mâ taraka ‘alâ zahrihâ min dâbbatin walâkiy yuwakhkhiruhumû ilâ ajalim musamman fa'idhâ jâ'a âjaluhum fa'inna llâha kâna bi‘ibâdihî basîrâ

Et si Allah s'en prenait aux gens pour ce qu'ils acquièrent, Il ne laisserait à la surface [de la terre] aucun être vivant. Mais Il leur donne un délai jusqu'à un terme fixé. Puis quand leur terme viendra... (Il se saisira d'eux) car Allah est Très Clairvoyant sur Ses serviteurs

And if Allah were to impose blame on the people for what they have earned, He would not leave upon the earth any creature. But He defers them for a specified term. And when their time comes, then indeed Allah has ever been, of His servants, Seeing
