أَلَٓر۪ۖ تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ اُ۬لْكِتَٰبِ اِ۬لْحَكِيمِۖ ﰀ

Alif lâm râ tilka âyâtu lkitâbi lhakîm

Alif, Lâm, Râ. Voici les versets du Livre plein de sagesse

Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the wise Book

أَكَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَباً اَنَ اَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ رَجُلٖ مِّنْهُمُۥٓ أَنَ اَنذِرِ اِ۬لنَّاسَۖ وَبَشِّرِ اِ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْۖ قَالَ اَ۬لْكَٰفِرُونَ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسِحْرٞ مُّبِينٌۖ ﰁ

Akâna linnâsi ‘ajabana na whaynâ ilâ rajulim minhumû ana ndhiri nnâsa wabashshiri lladhîna âmanû anna lahum qadama sidqin ‘inda rabbihim qâla lkâfirûna inna hâdhâ lasihrum mubîn

Est-il étonnant pour les gens, que Nous ayons révélé à un homme d'entre eux: «Avertis les gens, et annonce la bonne nouvelle aux croyants qu'ils ont auprès de leur Seigneur une présence méritée [pour leur loyauté antérieure]? Les mécréants dirent alors: «Celui-ci est certainement un magicien évident»

Have the people been amazed that We revealed [revelation] to a man from among them, [saying], "Warn mankind and give good tidings to those who believe that they will have a [firm] precedence of honor with their Lord"? [But] the disbelievers say, "Indeed, this is an obvious magician

۞ اِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لذِے خَلَقَ اَ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضَ فِے سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٖ ثُمَّ اَ۪سْتَو۪ىٰ عَلَى اَ۬لْعَرْشِۖ يُدَبِّرُ اُ۬لَامْرَۖ مَا مِن شَفِيعٍ اِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِۦۖ ذَٰلِكُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ رَبُّكُمْۖ فَاعْبُدُوهُۖ أَفَلَا تَذَّكَّرُونَۖ ﰂ

Inna rabbakumu llâhu lladhî khalaqa ssamâwâti walarda fî sittati ayyâmin thumma stawê ‘alâ l‘arshi yudabbiru lamra mâ min shafî‘ini llâ mim ba‘di idhnihî dhâlikumu llâhu rabbukum fa‘budûhu afalâ tadhdhakkarûn

Votre Seigneur est, Allah qui créa les cieux et la terre en six jours, puis S'est établi «Istawâ» sur le Trône, administrant toute chose. Il n'y a d'intercesseur qu'avec Sa permission. Tel est Allah votre Seigneur. Adorez-Le donc. Ne réfléchissez-vous pas

Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne, arranging the matter [of His creation]. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is Allah, your Lord, so worship Him. Then will you not remember

إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعاٗۖ وَعْدَ اَ۬للَّهِ حَقّاًۖ اِنَّهُۥ يَبْدَؤُاْ اُ۬لْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ لِيَجْزِيَ اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ بِالْقِسْطِۖ وَالذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَهُمْ شَرَابٞ مِّنْ حَمِيمٖ وَعَذَابٌ اَلِيمُۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْفُرُونَۖ ﰃ

Ilayhi marji‘ukum jamî‘an wa‘da llâhi haqqani nnahû yabda'u lkhalqa thumma yu‘îduhû liyajziya lladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti bilqisti walladhîna kafarû lahum sharâbum min hamîmin wa‘adhâbuna lîmum bimâ kânû yakfurûn

C'est vers Lui que vous retournerez tous, c'est là, la promesse d'Allah en toute vérité! C'est Lui qui fait la création une première fois puis la refait (en la ressuscitant) afin de rétribuer en toute équité ceux qui ont cru et fait de bonnes œuvres. Quant à ceux qui n'ont pas cru, ils auront un breuvage d'eau bouillante et un châtiment douloureux à cause de leur mécréance

To Him is your return all together. [It is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. Indeed, He begins the [process of] creation and then repeats it that He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds, in justice. But those who disbelieved will have a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment for what they used to deny

هُوَ اَ۬لذِے جَعَلَ اَ۬لشَّمْسَ ضِيَآءٗ وَالْقَمَرَ نُوراٗ وَقَدَّرَهُۥ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعْلَمُواْ عَدَدَ اَ۬لسِّنِينَ وَالْحِسَابَۖ مَا خَلَقَ اَ۬للَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّۖ نُفَصِّلُ اُ۬لَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٖ يَعْلَمُونَۖ ﰄ

Huwa lladhî ja‘ala shshamsa diyâ'an walqamara nûran waqaddarahû manâzila lita‘lamû ‘adada ssinîna walhisâba mâ khalaqa llâhu dhâlika illâ bilhaqqi nufassilu layâti liqawmin ya‘lamûn

C'est Lui qui a fait du soleil une clarté et de la lune une lumière, et Il en a déterminé les phases afin que vous sachiez le nombre des années et le calcul (du temps). Allah n'a créé cela qu'en toute vérité. Il expose les signes pour les gens doués de savoir

It is He who made the sun a shining light and the moon a derived light and determined for it phases - that you may know the number of years and account [of time]. Allah has not created this except in truth. He details the signs for a people who know

إِنَّ فِے اِ۪خْتِلَٰفِ اِ۬ليْلِ وَالنَّه۪ارِ وَمَا خَلَقَ اَ۬للَّهُ فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوْمٖ يَتَّقُونَۖ ﰅ

Inna fî khtilâfi llayli wannahêri wamâ khalaqa llâhu fî ssamâwâti walardi la'yâtil liqawmin yattaqûn

Dans l'alternance de la nuit et du jour, et aussi dans tout ce qu'Allah a créé dans les cieux et la terre, il y a des signes, certes, pour des gens qui craignent (Allah)

Indeed, in the alternation of the night and the day and [in] what Allah has created in the heavens and the earth are signs for a people who fear Allah

إِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا وَرَضُواْ بِالْحَيَوٰةِ اِ۬لدُّنْي۪ا وَاطْمَأَنُّواْ بِهَا وَالذِينَ هُمْ عَنَ اٰيَٰتِنَا غَٰفِلُونَ ﰆ

Inna lladhîna lâ yarjûna liqâ'anâ waradû bilhayawâti ddunyê watma'annû bihâ walladhîna hum ‘ana âyâtinâ ghâfilûn

Ceux qui n'espèrent pas Notre rencontre, qui sont satisfaits de la vie présente et s'y sentent en sécurité, et ceux qui sont inattentifs à Nos signes [ou versets]

Indeed, those who do not expect the meeting with Us and are satisfied with the life of this world and feel secure therein and those who are heedless of Our signs

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مَأْو۪يٰهُمُ اُ۬لنَّارُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَۖ ﰇ

Ulâ'ika ma'wêhumu nnâru bimâ kânû yaksibûn

leur refuge sera le Feu, pour ce qu'ils acquéraient

For those their refuge will be the Fire because of what they used to earn

إِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ يَهْدِيهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِإِيمَٰنِهِمْۖ تَجْرِے مِن تَحْتِهِمُ اُ۬لَانْهَٰرُ فِے جَنَّٰتِ اِ۬لنَّعِيمِۖ ﰈ

Inna lladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti yahdîhim rabbuhum bi'îmânihim tajrî min tahtihimu lanhâru fî jannâti nna‘îm

Ceux qui croient et font de bonnes œuvres, leur Seigneur les guidera à cause de leur foi. A leurs pieds les ruisseaux couleront dans les Jardins des délices

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Beneath them rivers will flow in the Gardens of Pleasure

دَعْو۪يٰهُمْ فِيهَا سُبْحَٰنَكَ اَ۬للَّهُمَّۖ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَٰمٞۖ وَءَاخِرُ دَعْو۪يٰهُمُۥٓ أَنِ اِ۬لْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ اِ۬لْعَٰلَمِينَۖ ﰉ

Da‘wêhum fîhâ subhânaka llâhumma watahiyyatuhum fîhâ salâmun wa'âkhiru da‘wêhumû ani lhamdu lillâhi rabbi l‘âlamîn

Là, leur invocation sera «Gloire à Toi, O Allah», et leur salutation: «Salâm», [Paix!] et la fin de leur invocation: «Louange à Allah, Seigneur de l'Univers»

Their call therein will be, "Exalted are You, O Allah," and their greeting therein will be, "Peace." And the last of their call will be, "Praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds

۞ وَلَوْ يُعَجِّلُ اُ۬للَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ اِ۬لشَّرَّ اَ۪سْتِعْجَالَهُم بِالْخَيْرِ لَقُضِيَ إِلَيْهِمُۥٓ أَجَلُهُمْۖ فَنَذَرُ اُ۬لذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا فِے طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَۖ ﰊ

Walaw yu‘ajjilu llâhu linnâsi shsharra sti‘jâlahum bilkhayri laqudiya ilayhimû ajaluhum fanadharu lladhîna lâ yarjûna liqâ'anâ fî tughyânihim ya‘mahûn

Et si Allah hâtait le malheur des gens avec autant de hâte qu'ils cherchent le bonheur, le terme de leur vie aurait été décrété. Mais Nous laissons ceux qui n'espèrent pas Notre rencontre confus et hésitants dans leur transgression

And if Allah was to hasten for the people the evil [they invoke] as He hastens for them the good, their term would have been ended for them. But We leave the ones who do not expect the meeting with Us, in their transgression, wandering blindly

وَإِذَا مَسَّ اَ۬لِانسَٰنَ اَ۬لضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنۢبِهِۦٓ أَوْ قَاعِداً اَوْ قَآئِماٗۖ فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُۥ مَرَّ كَأَن لَّمْ يَدْعُنَآ إِلَىٰ ضُرّٖ مَّسَّهُۥۖ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَۖ ﰋ

Wa'idhâ massa linsâna ddurru da‘ânâ lijambihî aw qâ‘idana w qâ'iman falammâ kashafnâ ‘anhu durrahû marra ka'al lam yad‘unâ ilâ durrim massahû kadhâlika zuyyina lilmusrifîna mâ kânû ya‘malûn

Et quand le malheur touche l'homme, il fait appel à Nous, couché sur le côté, assis, ou debout. Puis quand Nous le délivrons de son malheur, il s'en va comme s'il ne Nous avait point imploré pour un mal qui l'a touché. C'est ainsi que furent embellies aux outranciers leurs actions

And when affliction touches man, he calls upon Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove from him his affliction, he continues [in disobedience] as if he had never called upon Us to [remove] an affliction that touched him. Thus is made pleasing to the transgressors that which they have been doing

وَلَقَدَ اَهْلَكْنَا اَ۬لْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُواْ وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَٰتِۖ وَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُومِنُواْۖ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِے اِ۬لْقَوْمَ اَ۬لْمُجْرِمِينَۖ ﰌ

Walaqada hlaknâ lqurûna min qablikum lammâ zalamû wajâ'athum rusuluhum bilbayyinâti wamâ kânû liyûminû kadhâlika najzî lqawma lmujrimîn

Nous avons fait périr les générations d'avant vous lorsqu'elles eurent été injustes alors que leurs messagers leur avaient apporté des preuves. Cependant, elles n'étaient pas disposées à croire. C'est ainsi que Nous rétribuons les gens criminels

And We had already destroyed generations before you when they wronged, and their messengers had come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe. Thus do We recompense the criminal people

ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَٰكُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ لِنَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَۖ ﰍ

Thumma ja‘alnâkum khalâ'ifa fî lardi mim ba‘dihim linanzura kayfa ta‘malûn

Puis nous fîmes de vous des successeurs sur terre après eux, pour voir comment vous agiriez

Then We made you successors in the land after them so that We may observe how you will do

وَإِذَا تُتْل۪ىٰ عَلَيْهِمُۥٓ ءَايَاتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٖ قَالَ اَ۬لذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا اَ۪يتِ بِقُرْءَانٍ غَيْرِ هَٰذَآ أَوْ بَدِّلْهُۖ قُلْ مَا يَكُونُ لِيَ أَنُ ا۟بَدِّلَهُۥ مِن تِلْقَآءِےْ نَفْسِيَۖ إِنَ اَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوح۪ىٰٓ إِلَيَّۖ إِنِّيَ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّے عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٖۖ ﰎ

Wa'idhâ tutlê ‘alayhimû âyâtunâ bayyinâtin qâla lladhîna lâ yarjûna liqâ'anâ yti biqur'ânin ghayri hâdhâ aw baddilhu qul mâ yakûnu liya anu ubaddilahû min tilqâ'iy nafsiya ina ttabi‘u illâ mâ yûhê ilayya inniya akhâfu in ‘asaytu rabbî ‘adhâba yawmin ‘azîm

Et quand leur sont récités Nos versets en toute clarté, ceux qui n'espèrent pas notre rencontre disent: «Apporte un Coran autre que celui-ci» ou bien «Change-le». Dis: «Il ne m'appartient pas de le changer de mon propre chef. Je ne fais que suivre ce qui m'est révélé. Je crains, si je désobéis à mon Seigneur, le châtiment d'un jour terrible»

And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Bring us a Qur'an other than this or change it." Say, [O Muhammad], "It is not for me to change it on my own accord. I only follow what is revealed to me. Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day

قُل لَّوْ شَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُ مَا تَلَوْتُهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَآ أَدْر۪يٰكُم بِهِۦۖ فَقَدْ لَبِثْتُ فِيكُمْ عُمُراٗ مِّن قَبْلِهِۦٓۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَۖ ﰏ

Qul law shâ'a llâhu mâ talawtuhû ‘alaykum walâ adrêkum bihî faqad labithtu fîkum ‘umuram min qablihî afalâ ta‘qilûn

Dis: «Si Allah avait voulu, je ne vous l'aurais pas récité et Il ne vous l'aurait pas non plus fait connaître. Je suis bien resté, avant cela, tout un âge parmi vous. Ne raisonnez-vous donc pas?»

Say, "If Allah had willed, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have made it known to you, for I had remained among you a lifetime before it. Then will you not reason

فَمَنَ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ اِ۪فْتَر۪ىٰ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ كَذِباً اَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ اُ۬لْمُجْرِمُونَۖ ﰐ

Famana zlamu mimmani ftarê ‘alâ llâhi kadhibana w kadhdhaba bi'âyâtihî innahû lâ yuflihu lmujrimûn

Qui est plus injuste que celui qui invente un mensonge contre Allah, ou qui traite de mensonges Ses versets (le Coran)? Vraiment, les criminels ne réussissent pas

So who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allah or denies His signs? Indeed, the criminals will not succeed

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ اَ۬للَّهِۖ قُلَ اَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ اَ۬للَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰل۪ىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَۖ ﰑ

Waya‘budûna min dûni llâhi mâ lâ yadurruhum walâ yanfa‘uhum wayaqûlûna hâ'ulâ'i shufa‘â'unâ ‘inda llâhi qula tunabbi'ûna llâha bimâ lâ ya‘lamu fî ssamâwâti walâ fî lardi subhânahû wata‘âlê ‘ammâ yushrikûn

Ils adorent au lieu d'Allah ce qui ne peut ni leur nuire ni leur profiter et disent: «Ceux-ci sont nos intercesseurs auprès d'Allah». Dis: «Informerez-vous Allah de ce qu'Il ne connaît pas dans les cieux et sur la terre?» Pureté à Lui, Il est Très élevé au-dessus de ce qu'Ils Lui associent

And they worship other than Allah that which neither harms them nor benefits them, and they say, "These are our intercessors with Allah " Say, "Do you inform Allah of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?" Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him

۞ وَمَا كَانَ اَ۬لنَّاسُ إِلَّآ أُمَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ فَاخْتَلَفُواْۖ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٞ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِيمَا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَۖ ﰒ

Wamâ kâna nnâsu illâ ummatan wâhidatan fakhtalafû walawlâ kalimatun sabaqat mir rabbika laqudiya baynahum fîmâ fîhi yakhtalifûn

Les gens ne formaient (à l'origine) qu'une seule communauté. Puis ils divergèrent. Et si ce n'était une décision préalable de ton Seigneur, les litiges qui les opposaient auraient été tranchés

And mankind was not but one community [united in religion], but [then] they differed. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, it would have been judged between them [immediately] concerning that over which they differ

وَيَقُولُونَ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۖ فَقُلِ اِنَّمَا اَ۬لْغَيْبُ لِلهِۖ فَانتَظِرُوٓاْۖ إِنِّے مَعَكُم مِّنَ اَ۬لْمُنتَظِرِينَۖ ﰓ

Wayaqûlûna lawlâ unzila ‘alayhi âyatum mir rabbihî faquli nnamâ lghaybu lillâhi fântazirû innî ma‘akum mina lmuntazirîn

Et ils disent: «Que ne fait-on descendre sur lui (Muhammad) un miracle de son Seigneur?» Alors, dis: «L'inconnaissable relève seulement d'Allah. Attendez donc; je serai avec vous parmi ceux qui attendent

And they say, "Why is a sign not sent down to him from his Lord?" So say, "The unseen is only for Allah [to administer], so wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait

وَإِذَآ أَذَقْنَا اَ۬لنَّاسَ رَحْمَةٗ مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتْهُمُۥٓ إِذَا لَهُم مَّكْرٞ فِےٓ ءَايَاتِنَاۖ قُلِ اِ۬للَّهُ أَسْرَعُ مَكْراًۖ اِنَّ رُسُلَنَا يَكْتُبُونَ مَا تَمْكُرُونَۖ ﰔ

Wa'idhâ adhaqnâ nnâsa rahmatam mim ba‘di darrâ'a massathumû idhâ lahum makrun fî âyâtinâ quli llâhu asra‘u makrani nna rusulanâ yaktubûna mâ tamkurûn

Et quand Nous faisons goûter aux gens une miséricorde après qu'un malheur les a touchés, voilà qu'ils dénigrent Nos versets. Dis: «Allah est plus prompt à réprimer (ceux qui dénigrent Ses versets)». Car Nos anges enregistrent vos dénigrements

And when We give the people a taste of mercy after adversity has touched them, at once they conspire against Our verses. Say, "Allah is swifter in strategy." Indeed, Our messengers record that which you conspire

هُوَ اَ۬لذِے يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِے اِ۬لْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا كُنتُمْ فِے اِ۬لْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٖ طَيِّبَةٖ وَفَرِحُواْ بِهَا جَآءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٞ وَجَآءَهُمُ اُ۬لْمَوْجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٖ وَظَنُّوٓاْ أَنَّهُمُۥٓ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ دَعَوُاْ اُ۬للَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ اُ۬لدِّينَ لَئِنَ اَنجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ اَ۬لشَّٰكِرِينَۖ ﰕ

Huwa lladhî yusayyirukum fî lbarri walbahri hattâ idhâ kuntum fî lfulki wajarayna bihim birîhin tayyibatin wafarihû bihâ jâ'athâ rîhun ‘âsifun wajâ'ahumu lmawju min kulli makânin wazannû annahumû uhîta bihim da‘awu llâha mukhlisîna lahu ddîna la'ina njaytanâ min hâdhihî lanakûnanna mina shshâkirîn

C'est Lui qui vous fait aller sur terre et sur mer, quand vous êtes en bateau. [Ces bateaux] les emportèrent, grâce à un bon vent. Ils s'en réjouirent jusqu'au moment où, assaillis par un vent impétueux, assaillis de tous côtés par les vagues, se jugeant enveloppés [par la mort], ils prièrent Allah, Lui vouant le culte [et disant]: «Certes, si Tu nous sauves de ceci, nous serons parmi les reconnaissants!»

It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea until, when you are in ships and they sail with them by a good wind and they rejoice therein, there comes a storm wind and the waves come upon them from everywhere and they assume that they are surrounded, supplicating Allah, sincere to Him in religion, "If You should save us from this, we will surely be among the thankful

فَلَمَّآ أَنج۪يٰهُمُۥٓ إِذَا هُمْ يَبْغُونَ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ بِغَيْرِ اِ۬لْحَقِّۖ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغْيُكُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمۖ مَّتَٰعُ اُ۬لْحَيَوٰةِ اِ۬لدُّنْي۪اۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَۖ ﰖ

Falammâ anjêhumû idhâ hum yabghûna fî lardi bighayri lhaqqi yâ'ayyuhâ nnâsu innamâ baghyukum ‘alâ anfusikum matâ‘u lhayawâti ddunyê thumma ilaynâ marji‘ukum fanunabbî'ukum bimâ kuntum ta‘malûn

Lorsqu'Il les a sauvés, les voilà qui, sur terre, transgressent injustement. O gens! Votre transgression ne retombera que sur vous-mêmes. C'est une jouissance temporaire de la vie présente. Ensuite, c'est vers Nous que sera votre retour, et Nous vous rappellerons alors ce que vous faisiez

But when He saves them, at once they commit injustice upon the earth without right. O mankind, your injustice is only against yourselves, [being merely] the enjoyment of worldly life. Then to Us is your return, and We will inform you of what you used to do

إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ اُ۬لْحَيَوٰةِ اِ۬لدُّنْي۪ا كَمَآءٍ اَنزَلْنَٰهُ مِنَ اَ۬لسَّمَآءِ فَاخْتَلَطَۖ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ اُ۬لَارْضِ مِمَّا يَاكُلُ اُ۬لنَّاسُ وَالَانْعَٰمُۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَخَذَتِ اِ۬لَارْضُ زُخْرُفَهَا وَازَّيَّنَتْ وَظَنَّ أَهْلُهَآ أَنَّهُمْ قَٰدِرُونَ عَلَيْهَآ أَت۪يٰهَآ أَمْرُنَا لَيْلاً اَوْ نَهَاراٗ فَجَعَلْنَٰهَا حَصِيداٗ كَأَن لَّمْ تَغْنَ بِالَامْسِۖ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ اُ۬لَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٖ يَتَفَكَّرُونَۖ ﰗ

Innamâ mathalu lhayawâti ddunyê kamâ'ina nzalnâhu mina ssamâ'i fakhtalata bihî nabâtu lardi mimmâ yâkulu nnâsu walan‘âmu hattâ idhâ akhadhati lardu zukhrufahâ wazzayyanat wazanna ahluhâ annahum qâdirûna ‘alayhâ atêhâ amrunâ laylana w nahâran faja‘alnâhâ hasîdan ka'al lam taghna bilamsi kadhâlika nufassilu layâti liqawmin yatafakkarûn

La vie présente est comparable à une eau que Nous faisons descendre du ciel et qui se mélange à la végétation de la terre dont se nourrissent les hommes et les bêtes. Puis, lorsque la terre prend sa parure et s'embellit, et que ses habitants pensent qu'elle est à leur entière disposition, Notre Ordre lui vient, de nuit ou de jour, c'est alors que Nous la rendrons toute moissonnée, comme si elle n'avait pas été florissante la veille. Ainsi exposons-Nous les preuves pour des gens qui réfléchissent

The example of [this] worldly life is but like rain which We have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb - [those] from which men and livestock eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought

وَاللَّهُ يَدْعُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ د۪ارِ اِ۬لسَّلَٰمِ وَيَهْدِے مَنْ يَّشَآءُ اِ۪لَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسْتَقِيمٖۖ ﰘ

Wallâhu yad‘û ilâ dêri ssalâmi wayahdî may yashâ'u lâ sirâtim mustaqîm

Allah appelle à la demeure de la paix et guide qui Il veut vers un droit chemin

And Allah invites to the Home of Peace and guides whom He wills to a straight path

۞ لِّلذِينَ أَحْسَنُواْ اُ۬لْحُسْن۪ىٰ وَزِيَادَةٞۖ وَلَا يَرْهَقُ وُجُوهَهُمْ قَتَرٞ وَلَا ذِلَّةٌۖ ا۟وْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ اُ۬لْجَنَّةِۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَۖ ﰙ

Lilladhîna ahsanû lhusnê waziyâdatun walâ yarhaqu wujûhahum qatarun walâ dhillatun ulâ'ika ashâbu ljannati hum fîhâ khâlidûn

A ceux qui agissent en bien est réservée la meilleure (récompense) et même davantage. Nulle fumée noircissante, nul avilissement ne couvriront leurs visages. Ceux-là sont les gens du Paradis, où ils demeureront éternellement

For them who have done good is the best [reward] and extra. No darkness will cover their faces, nor humiliation. Those are companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally

وَالذِينَ كَسَبُواْ اُ۬لسَّيِّـَٔاتِ جَزَآءُ سَيِّئَةِۢ بِمِثْلِهَا وَتَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٞ مَّا لَهُم مِّنَ اَ۬للَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٖ كَأَنَّمَآ أُغْشِيَتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ قِطَعاٗ مِّنَ اَ۬ليْلِ مُظْلِماًۖ ا۟وْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ اُ۬لنّ۪ارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَۖ ﰚ

Walladhîna kasabû ssayyi'âti jazâ'u sayyî'atim bimithlihâ watarhaquhum dhillatum mâ lahum mina llâhi min ‘âsimin ka'annamâ ughshiyat wujûhuhum qita‘am mina llayli muzliman ulâ'ika ashâbu nnêri hum fîhâ khâlidûn

Et ceux qui ont commis de mauvaises actions, la rétribution d'une mauvaise action sera l'équivalent. Un avilissement les couvrira, - pas de protecteur pour eux contre Allah -, comme si leurs visages se couvraient de lambeaux de ténèbres nocturnes. Ceux-là sont là les gens du Feu où ils demeureront éternellement

But they who have earned [blame for] evil doings - the recompense of an evil deed is its equivalent, and humiliation will cover them. They will have from Allah no protector. It will be as if their faces are covered with pieces of the night - so dark [are they]. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعاٗ ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ مَكَانَكُمُۥٓ أَنتُمْ وَشُرَكَآؤُكُمْ فَزَيَّلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْۖ وَقَالَ شُرَكَآؤُهُم مَّا كُنتُمُۥٓ إِيَّانَا تَعْبُدُونَۖ ﰛ

Wayawma nahshuruhum jamî‘an thumma naqûlu lilladhîna ashrakû makânakumû antum washurakâ'ukum fazayyalnâ baynahum waqâla shurakâ'uhum mâ kuntumû iyyânâ ta‘budûn

(Et rappelle-toi) le jour où Nous les rassemblerons tous. Puis, Nous dirons à ceux qui ont donné [à Allah] des associés: «A votre place, vous et vos associés.» Nous les séparerons les uns des autres et leurs associés diront: «Ce n'est pas nous que vous adoriez»

And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day We will gather them all together - then We will say to those who associated others with Allah, "[Remain in] your place, you and your 'partners.' " Then We will separate them, and their "partners" will say, "You did not used to worship us

فَكَف۪ىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيداَۢ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُۥٓ إِن كُنَّا عَنْ عِبَادَتِكُمْ لَغَٰفِلِينَۖ ﰜ

Fakafê billâhi shahîdam baynanâ wabaynakumû in kunnâ ‘an ‘ibâdatikum laghâfilîn

Allah suffit comme témoin entre nous et vous. En vérité, nous étions indifférents à votre adoration»

And sufficient is Allah as a witness between us and you that we were of your worship unaware

هُنَالِكَ تَبْلُواْ كُلُّ نَفْسٖ مَّآ أَسْلَفَتْۖ وَرُدُّوٓاْ إِلَى اَ۬للَّهِ مَوْل۪يٰهُمُ اُ۬لْحَقِّۖ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفْتَرُونَۖ ﰝ

Hunâlika tablû kullu nafsim mâ aslafat waruddû ilâ llâhi mawlêhumu lhaqqi wadalla ‘anhum mâ kânû yaftarûn

Là, chaque âme éprouvera (les conséquences de) ce qu'elle a précédemment accompli. Et ils seront ramenés vers Allah leur vrai Maître; et leurs inventions (idoles) s'éloigneront d'eux

There, [on that Day], every soul will be put to trial for what it did previously, and they will be returned to Allah, their master, the Truth, and lost from them is whatever they used to invent

قُلْ مَنْ يَّرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ اَ۬لسَّمَآءِ وَالَارْضِۖ أَمَّنْ يَّمْلِكُ اُ۬لسَّمْعَ وَالَابْصَٰرَ وَمَنْ يُّخْرِجُ اُ۬لْحَيَّ مِنَ اَ۬لْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ اُ۬لْمَيِّتَ مِنَ اَ۬لْحَيِّ وَمَنْ يُّدَبِّرُ اُ۬لَامْرَۖ فَسَيَقُولُونَ اَ۬للَّهُۖ فَقُلَ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَۖ ﰞ

Qul may yarzuqukum mina ssamâ'i walardi ammay yamliku ssam‘a walabsâra wamay yukhriju lhayya mina lmayyiti wayukhriju lmayyita mina lhayyi wamay yudabbiru lamra fasayaqûlûna llâhu faqula falâ tattaqûn

Dis: «Qui vous attribue de la nourriture du ciel et de la terre? Qui détient l'ouïe et la vue, et qui fait sortir le vivant du mort et fait sortir le mort du vivant, et qui administre tout?» Ils diront: «Allah». Dis alors: «Ne Le craignez-vous donc pas?»

Say, "Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and who arranges [every] matter?" They will say, "Allah," so say, "Then will you not fear Him

فَذَٰلِكُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ اُ۬لْحَقُّۖ فَمَاذَا بَعْدَ اَ۬لْحَقِّ إِلَّا اَ۬لضَّلَٰلُۖ فَأَنّ۪ىٰ تُصْرَفُونَۖ ﰟ

Fadhâlikumu llâhu rabbukumu lhaqqu famâdhâ ba‘da lhaqqi illâ ddalâlu fa'annê tusrafûn

Tel est Allah, votre vrai Seigneur. Au delà de la vérité qu'y a-t-il donc sinon l'égarement? Comment alors pouvez-vous, vous détourner?»

For that is Allah, your Lord, the Truth. And what can be beyond truth except error? So how are you averted

كَذَٰلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَٰتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى اَ۬لذِينَ فَسَقُوٓاْ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يُومِنُونَۖ ﰠ

Kadhâlika haqqat kalimâtu rabbika ‘alâ lladhîna fasaqû annahum lâ yûminûn

C'est ainsi que s'est réalisée la parole de ton Seigneur contre ceux qui sont pervers: «Ils ne croiront pas»

Thus the word of your Lord has come into effect upon those who defiantly disobeyed - that they will not believe

قُلْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّنْ يَّبْدَؤُاْ اُ۬لْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥۖ قُلِ اِ۬للَّهُ يَبْدَؤُاْ اُ۬لْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥۖ فَأَنّ۪ىٰ تُوفَكُونَۖ ﰡ

Qul hal min shurakâ'ikum may yabda'u lkhalqa thumma yu‘îduhû quli llâhu yabda'u lkhalqa thumma yu‘îduhû fa'annê tûfakûn

Dis: «Parmi vos associés, qui donne la vie par une première création et la redonne [après la mort]?» Dis: «Allah [seul] donne la vie par une première création et la redonne. Comment pouvez-vous vous écarter [de l'adoration d'Allah]

Say, "Are there of your 'partners' any who begins creation and then repeats it?" Say, "Allah begins creation and then repeats it, so how are you deluded

قُلْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّنْ يَّهْدِےٓ إِلَى اَ۬لْحَقِّۖ قُلِ اِ۬للَّهُ يَهْدِے لِلْحَقِّۖ أَفَمَنْ يَّهْدِےٓ إِلَى اَ۬لْحَقِّ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُّتَّبَعَ أَمَّن لَّا يَهَدِّےٓ إِلَّآ أَنْ يُّهْد۪ىٰۖ فَمَا لَكُمْۖ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَۖ ﰢ

Qul hal min shurakâ'ikum may yahdî ilâ lhaqqi quli llâhu yahdî lilhaqqi afamay yahdî ilâ lhaqqi ahaqqu ay yuttaba‘a ammal lâ yahaddî illâ ay yuhdê famâ lakum kayfa tahkumûn

Dis: «Est-ce qu'il y a parmi vos associés un qui guide vers la vérité?» Dis: «C'est Allah qui guide vers la vérité. Celui qui guide vers la vérité est-il plus digne d'être suivi, ou bien celui qui ne se dirige qu'autant qu'il est lui-même dirigé? Qu'avez-vous donc? Comment jugez-vous ainsi?»

Say, "Are there of your 'partners' any who guides to the truth?" Say, "Allah guides to the truth. So is He who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed or he who guides not unless he is guided? Then what is [wrong] with you - how do you judge

وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكْثَرُهُمُۥٓ إِلَّا ظَنّاًۖ اِنَّ اَ۬لظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِے مِنَ اَ۬لْحَقِّ شَئْاًۖ اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ عَلِيمُۢ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَۖ ﰣ

Wamâ yattabi‘u aktharuhumû illâ zannani nna zzanna lâ yughnî mina lhaqqi shay'ani nna llâha ‘alîmum bimâ yaf‘alûn

Et la plupart d'entre eux ne suivent que conjecture. Mais, la conjecture ne sert à rien contre la vérité! Allah sait parfaitement ce qu'ils font

And most of them follow not except assumption. Indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what they do

۞ وَمَا كَانَ هَٰذَا اَ۬لْقُرْءَانُ أَنْ يُّفْتَر۪ىٰ مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ وَلَٰكِن تَصْدِيقَ اَ۬لذِے بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَتَفْصِيلَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ مِن رَّبِّ اِ۬لْعَٰلَمِينَۖ ﰤ

Wamâ kâna hâdhâ lqur'ânu ay yuftarê min dûni llâhi walâkin tasdîqa lladhî bayna yadayhi watafsîla lkitâbi lâ rayba fîhi mir rabbi l‘âlamîn

Ce Coran n'est nullement à être forgé en dehors d'Allah mais c'est la confirmation de ce qui existait déjà avant lui, et l'exposé détaillé du Livre en quoi il n'y a pas de doute, venu du Seigneur de l'Univers

And it was not [possible] for this Qur'an to be produced by other than Allah, but [it is] a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of the [former] Scripture, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ اَ۪فْتَر۪يٰهُۖ قُلْ فَاتُواْ بِسُورَةٖ مِّثْلِهِۦۖ وَادْعُواْ مَنِ اِ۪سْتَطَعْتُم مِّن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَۖ ﰥ

Am yaqûlûna ftarêhu qul fâtû bisûratim mithlihî wad‘û mani stata‘tum min dûni llâhi in kuntum sâdiqîn

Ou bien ils disent: «Il (Muhammad) l'a inventé?» Dis: «Composez donc une sourate semblable à ceci, et appelez à votre aide n'importe qui vous pourrez, en dehors d'Allah, si vous êtes véridiques»

Or do they say [about the Prophet], "He invented it?" Say, "Then bring forth a surah like it and call upon [for assistance] whomever you can besides Allah, if you should be truthful

بَلْ كَذَّبُواْ بِمَا لَمْ يُحِيطُواْ بِعِلْمِهِۦ وَلَمَّا يَاتِهِمْ تَاوِيلُهُۥۖ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ اَ۬لذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْۖ فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ اُ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَۖ ﰦ

Bal kadhdhabû bimâ lam yuhîtû bi‘ilmihî walammâ yâtihim tâwîluhû kadhâlika kadhdhaba lladhîna min qablihim fânzur kayfa kâna ‘âqibatu zzâlimîn

Bien au contraire: ils ont traité de mensonge ce qu'ils ne peuvent embrasser de leur savoir, et dont l'interprétation ne leur est pas encore parvenue. Ainsi ceux qui vivaient avant eux traitaient d'imposteurs (leurs messagers). Regarde comment a été la fin des injustes

Rather, they have denied that which they encompass not in knowledge and whose interpretation has not yet come to them. Thus did those before them deny. Then observe how was the end of the wrongdoers

وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ يُّومِنُ بِهِۦ وَمِنْهُم مَّن لَّا يُومِنُ بِهِۦۖ وَرَبُّكَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُفْسِدِينَۖ ﰧ

Waminhum may yûminu bihî waminhum mal lâ yûminu bihî warabbuka a‘lamu bilmufsidîn

Certains d'entre eux y croient, et d'autres n'y croient pas. Et ton Seigneur connaît le mieux les fauteurs de désordre

And of them are those who believe in it, and of them are those who do not believe in it. And your Lord is most knowing of the corrupters

وَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل لِّے عَمَلِے وَلَكُمْ عَمَلُكُمُۥٓ أَنتُم بَرِيٓـُٔونَ مِمَّآ أَعْمَلُ وَأَنَا بَرِےٓءٞ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَۖ ﰨ

Wa'in kadhdhabûka faqul lî ‘amalî walakum ‘amalukumû antum barî'ûna mimmâ a‘malu wa'anâ barî'um mimmâ ta‘malûn

Et s'ils te traitent de menteur, dis alors: «A moi mon œuvre, et à vous la vôtre. Vous êtes irresponsables de ce que je fais et je suis irresponsable de ce que vous faites»

And if they deny you, [O Muhammad], then say, "For me are my deeds, and for you are your deeds. You are disassociated from what I do, and I am disassociated from what you do

وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ يَّسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَۖ أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ اُ۬لصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُواْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَۖ ﰩ

Waminhum may yastami‘ûna ilayka afa'anta tusmi‘u ssumma walaw kânû lâ ya‘qilûn

Et il en est parmi eux qui te prêtent l'oreille. Est-ce toi qui fait entendre les sourds, même s'ils sont incapables de comprendre

And among them are those who listen to you. But can you cause the deaf to hear, although they will not use reason

وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ يَّنظُرُ إِلَيْكَۖ أَفَأَنتَ تَهْدِے اِ۬لْعُمْيَ وَلَوْ كَانُواْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَۖ ﰪ

Waminhum may yanzuru ilayka afa'anta tahdî l‘umya walaw kânû lâ yubsirûn

Et il en est parmi eux qui te regardent. Est-ce toi qui peux guider les aveugles, même s'ils ne voient pas

And among them are those who look at you. But can you guide the blind although they will not [attempt to] see

إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ اُ۬لنَّاسَ شَئْاٗۖ وَلَٰكِنَّ اَ۬لنَّاسَ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَۖ ﰫ

Inna llâha lâ yazlimu nnâsa shay'an walâkinna nnâsa anfusahum yazlimûn

En vérité, Allah n'est point injuste à l'égard des gens, mais ce sont les gens qui font du tort à eux-mêmes

Indeed, Allah does not wrong the people at all, but it is the people who are wronging themselves

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ كَأَن لَّمْ يَلْبَثُوٓاْ إِلَّا سَاعَةٗ مِّنَ اَ۬لنَّه۪ارِ يَتَعَارَفُونَ بَيْنَهُمْۖ قَدْ خَسِرَ اَ۬لذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِلِقَآءِ اِ۬للَّهِ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُهْتَدِينَۖ ﰬ

Wayawma nahshuruhum ka'al lam yalbathû illâ sâ‘atam mina nnahêri yata‘ârafûna baynahum qad khasira lladhîna kadhdhabû biliqâ'i llâhi wamâ kânû muhtadîn

Et le jour où Il les rassemblera, ce sera comme s'ils n'étaient restés [dans leur tombeau] qu'une heure du jour et ils se reconnaîtront mutuellement. Perdants seront alors ceux qui auront traité de mensonge la rencontre d'Allah, et ils n'auront pas été bien guidés

And on the Day when He will gather them, [it will be] as if they had not remained [in the world] but an hour of the day, [and] they will know each other. Those will have lost who denied the meeting with Allah and were not guided

وَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ اَ۬لذِے نَعِدُهُمُۥٓ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْۖ ثُمَّ اَ۬للَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَۖ ﰭ

Wa'immâ nuriyannaka ba‘da lladhî na‘iduhumû aw natawaffayannaka fa'ilaynâ marji‘uhum thumma llâhu shahîdun ‘alâ mâ yaf‘alûn

Que Nous te fassions voir une partie de ce dont Nous les menaçons, ou que Nous te fassions mourir, (en tout cas), c'est vers Nous que sera leur retour. Allah est en outre, témoin de ce qu'ils font

And whether We show you some of what We promise them, [O Muhammad], or We take you in death, to Us is their return; then, [either way], Allah is a witness concerning what they are doing

وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٖ رَّسُولٞۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ رَسُولُهُمْ قُضِيَ بَيْنَهُم بِالْقِسْطِ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَۖ ﰮ

Walikulli ummatir rasûlun fa'idhâ jâ'a rasûluhum qudiya baynahum bilqisti wahum lâ yuzlamûn

A chaque communauté un Messager. Et lorsque leur messager vint, tout se décida en équité entre eux et ils ne furent point lésés

And for every nation is a messenger. So when their messenger comes, it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged

وَيَقُولُونَ مَت۪ىٰ هَٰذَا اَ۬لْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَۖ ﰯ

Wayaqûlûna matê hâdhâ lwa‘du in kuntum sâdiqîn

Et ils disent «A quand cette promesse, si vous êtes véridiques»

And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful

۞ قُل لَّآ أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِے ضَرّاٗ وَلَا نَفْعاً اِلَّا مَا شَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُۖ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ اَجَلٌۖ اِذَا جَآءَ اجَلُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَٰخِرُونَ سَاعَةٗۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَۖ ﰰ

Qul lâ amliku linafsî darran walâ naf‘ani llâ mâ shâ'a llâhu likulli ummatina jaluni dhâ jâ'a âjaluhum falâ yastâkhirûna sâ‘atan walâ yastaqdimûn

Dis: «Je ne détiens pour moi rien qui peut me nuire ou me profiter, excepté ce qu'Allah veut. A chaque communauté un terme. Quand leur terme arrive, ils ne peuvent ni le retarder d'une heure ni l'avancer»

Say, "I possess not for myself any harm or benefit except what Allah should will. For every nation is a [specified] term. When their time has come, then they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it]

قُلَ اَرَٰٓيْتُمُۥٓ إِنَ اَت۪يٰكُمْ عَذَابُهُۥ بَيَٰتاً اَوْ نَهَاراٗ مَّاذَا يَسْتَعْجِلُ مِنْهُ اُ۬لْمُجْرِمُونَۖ ﰱ

Qula râytumû ina têkum ‘adhâbuhû bayâtana w nahâram mâdhâ yasta‘jilu minhu lmujrimûn

Dis: «Voyez-vous! Si Son châtiment vous arrivait de nuit ou de jour, les criminels pourraient-ils en hâter quelque chose

Say, "Have you considered: if His punishment should come to you by night or by day - for which [aspect] of it would the criminals be impatient

أَثُمَّ إِذَا مَا وَقَعَ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦٓۖ ءَالَٰنَ وَقَدْ كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَۖ ﰲ

Athumma idhâ mâ waqa‘a âmantum bihî âlâna waqad kuntum bihî tasta‘jilûn

«Est-ce au moment où le châtiment se produira que vous croirez? [Il vous sera dit: «Inutile».] Maintenant! Autrefois, vous en réclamiez [ironiquement] la prompte arrivée!»

Then is it that when it has [actually] occurred you will believe in it? Now? And you were [once] for it impatient

ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِلذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ اَ۬لْخُلْدِۖ هَلْ تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَۖ ﰳ

Thumma qîla lilladhîna zalamû dhûqû ‘adhâba lkhuldi hal tujzawna illâ bimâ kuntum taksibûn

Puis il sera dit aux injustes: «Goûtez au châtiment éternel! Etes-vous rétribués autrement qu'en rapport de ce que vous acquériez?»

Then it will be said to those who had wronged, "Taste the punishment of eternity; are you being recompensed except for what you used to earn

وَيَسْتَنۢبِـُٔونَكَ أَحَقٌّ هُوَۖ قُلِ اِے وَرَبِّيَ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقّٞ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَۖ ﰴ

Wayastambi'ûnaka ahaqqun huwa quli y warabbiya innahû lahaqqun wamâ antum bimu‘jizîn

Et ils s'informent auprès de toi: «Est-ce vrai?» - Dis: «Oui! Par mon Seigneur! C'est bien vrai. Et vous ne pouvez vous soustraire à la puissance d'Allah

And they ask information of you, [O Muhammad], "Is it true?" Say, "Yes, by my Lord. Indeed, it is truth; and you will not cause failure [to Allah]

وَلَوَ اَنَّ لِكُلِّ نَفْسٖ ظَلَمَتْ مَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ لَافْتَدَتْ بِهِۦۖ وَأَسَرُّواْ اُ۬لنَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُاْ اُ۬لْعَذَابَ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُم بِالْقِسْطِ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَۖ ﰵ

Walawa nna likulli nafsin zalamat mâ fî lardi laftadat bihî wa'asarrû nnadâmata lammâ ra'awu l‘adhâba waqudiya baynahum bilqisti wahum lâ yuzlamûn

Si chaque âme injuste possédait tout ce qu'il y a sur terre, elle le donnerait pour sa rançon. Ils dissimuleront leur regret quand ils verront le châtiment. Et il sera décidé entre eux en toute équité, et ils ne seront point lésés

And if each soul that wronged had everything on earth, it would offer it in ransom. And they will confide regret when they see the punishment; and they will be judged in justice, and they will not be wronged

أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلهِ مَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِۖ أَلَآ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اَ۬للَّهِ حَقّٞۖ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَۖ ﰶ

Alâ inna lillâhi mâ fî ssamâwâti walardi alâ inna wa‘da llâhi haqqun walâkinna aktharahum lâ ya‘lamûn

C'est à Allah qu'appartient, certes, tout ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre. Certes, la promesse d'Allah est vérité. Mais la plupart d'entre eux ne (le) savent pas

Unquestionably, to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Unquestionably, the promise of Allah is truth, but most of them do not know

هُوَ يُحْيِۦ وَيُمِيتُۖ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَۖ ﰷ

Huwa yuhyî wayumîtu wa'ilayhi turja‘ûn

C'est Lui qui donne la vie et qui donne la mort; et c'est vers Lui que vous serez ramenés

He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُم مَّوْعِظَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَشِفَآءٞ لِّمَا فِے اِ۬لصُّدُورِ وَهُدىٗ وَرَحْمَةٞ لِّلْمُومِنِينَۖ ﰸ

Yâ'ayyuhâ nnâsu qad jâ'atkum maw‘izatum mir rabbikum washifâ'ul limâ fî ssudûri wahudan warahmatul lilmûminîn

O gens! Une exhortation vous est venue, de votre Seigneur, une guérison de ce qui est dans les poitrines, un guide et une miséricorde pour les croyants

O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers

قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اِ۬للَّهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِۦ فَبِذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُواْۖ هُوَ خَيْرٞ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَۖ ﰹ

Qul bifadli llâhi wabirahmatihî fabidhâlika falyafrahû huwa khayrum mimmâ yajma‘ûn

Dis: «[Ceci provient] de la grâce d'Allah et de Sa miséricorde; Voilà de quoi ils devraient se réjouir. C'est bien mieux que tout ce qu'ils amassent»

Say, "In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy - in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate

قُلَ اَرَٰٓيْتُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ لَكُم مِّن رِّزْقٖ فَجَعَلْتُم مِّنْهُ حَرَاماٗ وَحَلَٰلاٗۖ قُلَ آٰللَّهُ أَذِنَ لَكُمُۥٓ أَمْ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ تَفْتَرُونَۖ ﰺ

Qula râytum mâ anzala llâhu lakum mir rizqin faja‘altum minhu harâman wahalâlan qula âllâhu adhina lakumû am ‘alâ llâhi taftarûn

Que dites-vous de ce qu'Allah a fait descendre pour vous comme subsistance et dont vous avez alors fait des choses licites et des choses interdites? - Dis: «Est-ce Allah qui vous l'a permis? Ou bien forgez vous (des mensonges) contre Allah?»

Say, "Have you seen what Allah has sent down to you of provision of which you have made [some] lawful and [some] unlawful?" Say, "Has Allah permitted you [to do so], or do you invent [something] about Allah

وَمَا ظَنُّ اُ۬لذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لْكَذِبَ يَوْمَ اَ۬لْقِيَٰمَةِۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى اَ۬لنَّاسِۖ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَشْكُرُونَۖ ﰻ

Wamâ zannu lladhîna yaftarûna ‘alâ llâhi lkadhiba yawma lqiyâmati inna llâha ladhû fadlin ‘alâ nnâsi walâkinna aktharahum lâ yashkurûn

Et que penseront, au Jour de la Résurrection, ceux qui forgent le mensonge contre Allah? - Certes, Allah est Détenteur de grâce pour les gens, mais la plupart d'entre eux ne sont pas reconnaissants

And what will be the supposition of those who invent falsehood about Allah on the Day of Resurrection? Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of them are not grateful

۞ وَمَا تَكُونُ فِے شَأْنٖ وَمَا تَتْلُواْ مِنْهُ مِن قُرْءَانٖ وَلَا تَعْمَلُونَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ اِلَّا كُنَّا عَلَيْكُمْ شُهُوداً اِذْ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِۖ وَمَا يَعْزُبُ عَن رَّبِّكَ مِن مِّثْقَالِ ذَرَّةٖ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ وَلَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَآءِۖ وَلَآ أَصْغَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَآ أَكْبَرَ إِلَّا فِے كِتَٰبٖ مُّبِينٍۖ ﰼ

Wamâ takûnu fî sha'nin wamâ tatlû minhu min qur'ânin walâ ta‘malûna min ‘amalini llâ kunnâ ‘alaykum shuhûdani dh tufîdûna fîhi wamâ ya‘zubu ‘ar rabbika mim mithqâli dharratin fî lardi walâ fî ssamâ'i walâ asghara min dhâlika walâ akbara illâ fî kitâbim mubîn

Tu ne te trouveras dans aucune situation, tu ne réciteras aucun passage du Coran, vous n'accomplirez aucun acte sans que Nous soyons témoin au moment où vous l'entreprendrez. Il n'échappe à ton Seigneur ni le poids d'un atome sur terre ou dans le ciel, ni un poids plus petit ou plus grand qui ne soit déjà inscrit dans un livre évident

And, [O Muhammad], you are not [engaged] in any matter or recite any of the Qur'an and you [people] do not do any deed except that We are witness over you when you are involved in it. And not absent from your Lord is any [part] of an atom's weight within the earth or within the heaven or [anything] smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register

اَلَآ إِنَّ أَوْلِيَآءَ اَ۬للَّهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَۖ ﰽ

Alâ inna awliyâ'a llâhi lâ khawfun ‘alayhim walâ hum yahzanûn

En vérité, les bien-aimés d'Allah seront à l'abri de toute crainte, et ils ne seront point affligés

Unquestionably, [for] the allies of Allah there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve

اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَكَانُواْ يَتَّقُونَ ﰾ

Alladhîna âmanû wakânû yattaqûn

ceux qui croient et qui craignent [Allah]

Those who believed and were fearing Allah

لَهُمُ اُ۬لْبُشْر۪ىٰ فِے اِ۬لْحَيَوٰةِ اِ۬لدُّنْي۪ا وَفِے اِ۬لَاخِرَةِۖ لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ اَ۬لْفَوْزُ اُ۬لْعَظِيمُۖ ﰿ

Lahumu lbushrê fî lhayawâti ddunyê wafî lakhirati lâ tabdîla likalimâti llâhi dhâlika huwa lfawzu l‘azîm

Il y a pour eux une bonne annonce dans la vie d'ici-bas tout comme dans la vie ultime. - Il n'y aura pas de changement aux paroles d'Allah -. Voilà l'énorme succès

For them are good tidings in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. No change is there in the words of Allah. That is what is the great attainment

وَلَا يُحْزِنكَ قَوْلُهُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬لْعِزَّةَ لِلهِ جَمِيعاًۖ هُوَ اَ۬لسَّمِيعُ اُ۬لْعَلِيمُۖ ﱀ

Walâ yuhzinka qawluhumû inna l‘izzata lillâhi jamî‘an huwa ssamî‘u l‘alîm

Que ce qu'ils disent ne t'afflige pas. La puissance toute entière appartient à Allah. C'est Lui qui est l'Audient, l'Omniscient

And let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, honor [due to power] belongs to Allah entirely. He is the Hearing, the Knowing

أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلهِ مَن فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ اُ۬لذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ شُرَكَآءَۖ ا۪نْ يَّتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا اَ۬لظَّنَّۖ وَإِنْ هُمُۥٓ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَۖ ﱁ

Alâ inna lillâhi man fî ssamâwâti waman fî lardi wamâ yattabi‘u lladhîna yad‘ûna min dûni llâhi shurakâ'a y yattabi‘ûna illâ zzanna wa'in humû illâ yakhrusûn

C'est à Allah qu'appartient, ce qui est dans les cieux et ce qui est sur la terre. Que suivent donc ceux qui invoquent, en dehors d'Allah, [des divinités] qu'ils Lui associent? Ils ne suivent que la conjecture et ne font que mentir

Unquestionably, to Allah belongs whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth. And those who invoke other than Allah do not [actually] follow [His] "partners." They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying

هُوَ اَ۬لذِے جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اُ۬ليْلَ لِتَسْكُنُواْ فِيهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِراًۖ اِنَّ فِے ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوْمٖ يَسْمَعُونَۖ ﱂ

Huwa lladhî ja‘ala lakumu llayla litaskunû fîhi wannahâra mubsirani nna fî dhâlika la'yâtil liqawmin yasma‘ûn

C'est Lui qui vous a désigné la nuit pour que vous vous y reposiez, et le jour pour vous permettre de voir. Ce sont en vérité des signes pour les gens qui entendent

It is He who made for you the night to rest therein and the day, giving sight. Indeed in that are signs for a people who listen

قَالُواْ اُ۪تَّخَذَ اَ۬للَّهُ وَلَداٗۖ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥۖ هُوَ اَ۬لْغَنِيُّۖ لَهُۥ مَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ إِنْ عِندَكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنِۢ بِهَٰذَآۖ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَۖ ﱃ

Qâlû ttakhadha llâhu waladan subhânahû huwa lghaniyyu lahû mâ fî ssamâwâti wamâ fî lardi in ‘indakum min sultâni bihâdhâ ataqûlûna ‘alâ llâhi mâ lâ ta‘lamûn

Ils disent: «Allah S'est donné un enfant» Gloire et Pureté à Lui! Il est Le Riche par excellence. A Lui appartient tout ce qui est aux cieux et sur la terre; - vous n'avez pour cela aucune preuve. Allez-vous dire contre Allah ce que vous ne savez pas

They have said, "Allah has taken a son." Exalted is He; He is the [one] Free of need. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You have no authority for this [claim]. Do you say about Allah that which you do not know

قُلِ اِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَۖ ﱄ

Quli nna lladhîna yaftarûna ‘alâ llâhi lkadhiba lâ yuflihûn

Dis: «En vérité, ceux qui forgent le mensonge contre Allah ne réussiront pas»

Say, "Indeed, those who invent falsehood about Allah will not succeed

مَتَٰعٞ فِے اِ۬لدُّنْي۪اۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ ثُمَّ نُذِيقُهُمُ اُ۬لْعَذَابَ اَ۬لشَّدِيدَ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْفُرُونَۖ ﱅ

Matâ‘un fî ddunyê thumma ilaynâ marji‘uhum thumma nudhîquhumu l‘adhâba shshadîda bimâ kânû yakfurûn

C'est une jouissance (temporaire) dans la vie d'ici-bas; puis ils retourneront vers Nous et Nous leur ferons goûter au dur châtiment, à titre de sanction pour leur mécréance

[For them is brief] enjoyment in this world; then to Us is their return; then We will make them taste the severe punishment because they used to disbelieve

۞ وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ نُوحٍ اِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦ يَٰقَوْمِ إِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكُم مَّقَامِے وَتَذْكِيرِے بِـَٔايَٰتِ اِ۬للَّهِ فَعَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُۖ فَأَجْمِعُوٓاْ أَمْرَكُمْ وَشُرَكَآءَكُمْۖ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُنَ اَمْرُكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ غُمَّةٗۖ ثُمَّ اَ۪قْضُوٓاْ إِلَيَّ وَلَا تُنظِرُونِۖ ﱆ

Watlu ‘alayhim naba'a nûhini dh qâla liqawmihî yâqawmi in kâna kabura ‘alaykum maqâmî watadhkîrî bi'âyâti llâhi fa‘alâ llâhi tawakkaltu fa'ajmi‘û amrakum washurakâ'akum thumma lâ yakuna mrukum ‘alaykum ghummatan thumma qdû ilayya walâ tunzirûn

Raconte-leur l'histoire de Noé, quand il dit à son peuple: «O mon peuple, si mon séjour (parmi vous), et mon rappel des signes d'Allah vous pèsent trop, alors c'est en Allah que je place (entièrement) ma confiance. Concertez-vous avec vos associés, et ne cachez pas vos desseins. Puis, décidez de moi et ne me donnez pas de répit

And recite to them the news of Noah, when he said to his people, "O my people, if my residence and my reminding of the signs of Allah has become burdensome upon you - then I have relied upon Allah. So resolve upon your plan and [call upon] your associates. Then let not your plan be obscure to you. Then carry it out upon me and do not give me respite

فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَمَا سَأَلْتُكُم مِّنَ اَجْرٍۖ اِنَ اَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنَ اَكُونَ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُسْلِمِينَۖ ﱇ

Fa'in tawallaytum famâ sa'altukum mina jrini na jriya illâ ‘alâ llâhi wa'umirtu ana kûna mina lmuslimîn

Si vous vous détournez, alors je ne vous ai pas demandé de salaire... Mon salaire n'incombe qu'à Allah. Et il m'a été commandé d'être du nombre des soumis»

And if you turn away [from my advice] then no payment have I asked of you. My reward is only from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِے اِ۬لْفُلْكِ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَۖ وَأَغْرَقْنَا اَ۬لذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاۖ فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ اُ۬لْمُنذَرِينَۖ ﱈ

Fakadhdhabûhu fanajjaynâhu wamam ma‘ahû fî lfulki waja‘alnâhum khalâ'ifa wa'aghraqnâ lladhîna kadhdhabû bi'âyâtinâ fânzur kayfa kâna ‘âqibatu lmundharîn

Ils le traitèrent de menteur. Nous le sauvâmes, lui et ceux qui étaient avec lui dans l'arche, desquels Nous fîmes les successeurs (sur la terre). Nous noyâmes ceux qui traitaient de mensonge Nos preuves. Regarde comment a été la fin de ceux qui avaient été avertis

And they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship and made them successors, and We drowned those who denied Our signs. Then see how was the end of those who were warned

ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ رُسُلاً اِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآءُوهُم بِالْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُومِنُواْ بِمَا كَذَّبُواْ بِهِۦ مِن قَبْلُۖ كَذَٰلِكَ نَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ اِ۬لْمُعْتَدِينَۖ ﱉ

Thumma ba‘athnâ mim ba‘dihî rusulani lâ qawmihim fajâ'ûhum bilbayyinâti famâ kânû liyûminû bimâ kadhdhabû bihî min qablu kadhâlika natba‘u ‘alâ qulûbi lmu‘tadîn

Puis Nous envoyâmes après lui des messagers à leurs peuples. Ils leur vinrent avec les preuves. Mais (les gens) étaient tels qu'ils ne pouvaient croire à ce qu'auparavant ils avaient traité de mensonge. Ainsi scellons-Nous les cœurs des transgresseurs

Then We sent after him messengers to their peoples, and they came to them with clear proofs. But they were not to believe in that which they had denied before. Thus We seal over the hearts of the transgressors

ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِم مُّوس۪ىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِيْهِۦ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ وَكَانُواْ قَوْماٗ مُّجْرِمِينَۖ ﱊ

Thumma ba‘athnâ mim ba‘dihim mûsê wahârûna ilâ fir‘awna wamala'iyhî bi'âyâtinâ fastakbarû wakânû qawmam mujrimîn

Ensuite, Nous envoyâmes après eux Moïse et Aaron, munis de Nos preuves à Pharaon et ses notables. Mais (ces gens) s'enflèrent d'orgueil et ils étaient un peuple criminel

Then We sent after them Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his establishment with Our signs, but they behaved arrogantly and were a criminal people

فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ اُ۬لْحَقُّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسِحْرٞ مُّبِينٞۖ ﱋ

Falammâ jâ'ahumu lhaqqu min ‘indinâ qâlû inna hâdhâ lasihrum mubîn

Et lorsque la vérité leur vint de Notre part, ils dirent: «Voilà certes, une magie manifeste!»

So when there came to them the truth from Us, they said, "Indeed, this is obvious magic

قَالَ مُوس۪ىٰٓ أَتَقُولُونَ لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَكُمُۥٓۖ أَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَاۖ وَلَا يُفْلِحُ اُ۬لسَّٰحِرُونَۖ ﱌ

Qâla mûsê ataqûlûna lilhaqqi lammâ jâ'akumû asihrun hâdhâ walâ yuflihu ssâhirûn

Moïse dit: «Dites-vous à la Vérité quand elle vous est venue: Est-ce que cela est de la magie? Alors que les magiciens ne réussissent pas...»

Moses said, "Do you say [thus] about the truth when it has come to you? Is this magic? But magicians will not succeed

قَالُوٓاْ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَلْفِتَنَا عَمَّا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَا وَتَكُونَ لَكُمَا اَ۬لْكِبْرِيَآءُ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكُمَا بِمُومِنِينَۖ ﱍ

Qâlû ajî'tanâ litalfitanâ ‘ammâ wajadnâ ‘alayhi âbâ'anâ watakûna lakumâ lkibriyâ'u fî lardi wamâ nahnu lakumâ bimûminîn

Ils dirent: «Est-ce pour nous écarter de ce sur quoi nous avons trouvé nos ancêtres que tu es venu à nous, et pour que la grandeur appartienne à vous deux sur la terre? Et nous ne croyons pas en vous!»

They said, "Have you come to us to turn us away from that upon which we found our fathers and so that you two may have grandeur in the land? And we are not believers in you

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ اُ۪يتُونِے بِكُلِّ سَٰحِرٍ عَلِيمٖۖ ﱎ

Waqâla fir‘awnu ytûnî bikulli sâhirin ‘alîm

Et Pharaon dit: «Amenez-moi tout magicien savant!»

And Pharaoh said, "Bring to me every learned magician

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ اَ۬لسَّحَرَةُ قَالَ لَهُم مُّوس۪ىٰٓ أَلْقُواْ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَۖ ﱏ

Falammâ jâ'a ssaharatu qâla lahum mûsê alqû mâ antum mulqûn

Puis, lorsque vinrent les magiciens, Moïse leur dit: «Jetez ce que vous avez à jeter»

So when the magicians came, Moses said to them, "Throw down whatever you will throw

فَلَمَّآ أَلْقَوْاْ قَالَ مُوس۪ىٰ مَا جِئْتُم بِهِ اِ۬لسِّحْرُۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ اَ۬لْمُفْسِدِينَۖ ﱐ

Falammâ alqaw qâla mûsê mâ jî'tum bihi ssihru inna llâha sayubtiluhû inna llâha lâ yuslihu ‘amala lmufsidîn

Lorsqu'ils jetèrent, Moïse dit: «Ce que vous avez produit est magie! Allah l'annulera. Car Allah ne fait pas prospérer ce que font les fauteurs de désordre

And when they had thrown, Moses said, "What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allah will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of corrupters

وَيُحِقُّ اُ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ اَ۬لْمُجْرِمُونَۖ ﱑ

Wayuhiqqu llâhu lhaqqa bikalimâtihî walaw kariha lmujrimûn

Et par Ses paroles, Allah fera triompher la Vérité, quelque répulsion qu'en aient les criminels»

And Allah will establish the truth by His words, even if the criminals dislike it

۞ فَمَآ ءَامَنَ لِمُوس۪ىٰٓ إِلَّا ذُرِّيَّةٞ مِّن قَوْمِهِۦ عَلَىٰ خَوْفٖ مِّن فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِيْهِمُۥٓ أَنْ يَّفْتِنَهُمْۖ وَإِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَعَالٖ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ اَ۬لْمُسْرِفِينَۖ ﱒ

Famâ âmana limûsê illâ dhurriyyatum min qawmihî ‘alâ khawfim min fir‘awna wamala'iyhimû ay yaftinahum wa'inna fir‘awna la‘âlin fî lardi wa'innahû lamina lmusrifîn

Personne ne crut (au message) de Moïse, sauf un groupe de jeunes gens de son peuple, par crainte de représailles de Pharaon et de leurs notables. En vérité, Pharaon fut certes superbe sur terre et il fut du nombre des extravagants

But no one believed Moses, except [some] youths among his people, for fear of Pharaoh and his establishment that they would persecute them. And indeed, Pharaoh was haughty within the land, and indeed, he was of the transgressors

وَقَالَ مُوس۪ىٰ يَٰقَوْمِ إِن كُنتُمُۥٓ ءَامَنتُم بِاللَّهِ فَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلُوٓاْ إِن كُنتُم مُّسْلِمِينَۖ ﱓ

Waqâla mûsê yâqawmi in kuntumû âmantum billâhi fa‘alayhi tawakkalû in kuntum muslimîn

Et Moïse dit: «O mon peuple, si vous croyez en Allah, placez votre confiance en Lui si vous (Lui) êtes soumis»

And Moses said, "O my people, if you have believed in Allah, then rely upon Him, if you should be Muslims

فَقَالُواْ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَاۖ رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةٗ لِّلْقَوْمِ اِ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَۖ ﱔ

Faqâlû ‘alâ llâhi tawakkalnâ rabbanâ lâ taj‘alnâ fitnatal lilqawmi zzâlimîn

Ils dirent: «En Allah nous plaçons notre confiance. O notre Seigneur, ne fais pas de nous une cible pour les persécutions des injustes

So they said, "Upon Allah do we rely. Our Lord, make us not [objects of] trial for the wrongdoing people

وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ اَ۬لْقَوْمِ اِ۬لْكٰ۪فِرِينَۖ ﱕ

Wanajjinâ birahmatika mina lqawmi lkêfirîn

Et délivre-nous, par Ta miséricorde, des gens mécréants»

And save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people

وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوس۪ىٰ وَأَخِيهِ أَن تَبَوَّءَا لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوتاٗ وَاجْعَلُواْ بُيُوتَكُمْ قِبْلَةٗ وَأَقِيمُواْ اُ۬لصَّلَوٰةَۖ وَبَشِّرِ اِ۬لْمُومِنِينَۖ ﱖ

Wa'awhaynâ ilâ mûsê wa'akhîhi an tabawwa'â liqawmikumâ bimisra buyûtan waj‘alû buyûtakum qiblatan wa'aqîmû ssalawâta wabashshiri lmûminîn

Et Nous révélâmes à Moïse et à son frère: «Prenez pour votre peuple des maisons en Egypte, faites de vos maisons un lieu de prière et soyez assidus dans la prière. Et fais la bonne annonce aux croyants»

And We inspired to Moses and his brother, "Settle your people in Egypt in houses and make your houses [facing the] qiblah and establish prayer and give good tidings to the believers

وَقَالَ مُوس۪ىٰ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ ءَاتَيْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَأَهُۥ زِينَةٗ وَأَمْوَٰلاٗ فِے اِ۬لْحَيَوٰةِ اِ۬لدُّنْي۪اۖ رَبَّنَا لِيَضِلُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِكَۖ رَبَّنَا اَ۪طْمِسْ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَاشْدُدْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَلَا يُومِنُواْ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُاْ اُ۬لْعَذَابَ اَ۬لَالِيمَۖ ﱗ

Waqâla mûsê rabbanâ innaka âtayta fir‘awna wamala'ahû zînatan wa'amwâlan fî lhayawâti ddunyê rabbanâ liyadillû ‘an sabîlika rabbanâ tmis ‘alâ amwâlihim washdud ‘alâ qulûbihim falâ yûminû hattâ yarawu l‘adhâba lalîm

Et Moïse dit: «O notre Seigneur, Tu as accordé à Pharaon et ses notables des parures et des biens dans la vie présente, et voilà, O notre Seigneur, qu'avec cela ils égarent (les gens loin) de Ton sentier. O notre Seigneur, anéantis leurs biens et endurcis leurs cœurs, afin qu'ils ne croient pas, jusqu'à ce qu'ils aient vu le châtiment douloureux»

And Moses said, "Our Lord, indeed You have given Pharaoh and his establishment splendor and wealth in the worldly life, our Lord, that they may lead [men] astray from Your way. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and harden their hearts so that they will not believe until they see the painful punishment

قَالَ قَدُ ا۟جِيبَت دَّعْوَتُكُمَا فَاسْتَقِيمَاۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعَٰٓنِّ سَبِيلَ اَ۬لذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَۖ ﱘ

Qâla qadu ujîbat da‘watukumâ fastaqîmâ walâ tattabi‘ânni sabîla lladhîna lâ ya‘lamûn

Il dit: «Votre prière est exaucée. Restez tous deux sur le chemin droit, et ne suivez point le sentier de ceux qui ne savent pas»

[Allah] said, "Your supplication has been answered." So remain on a right course and follow not the way of those who do not know

وَجَٰوَزْنَا بِبَنِےٓ إِسْرَآءِيلَ اَ۬لْبَحْرَ فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ بَغْياٗ وَعَدْواًۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَدْرَكَهُ اُ۬لْغَرَقُ قَالَ ءَامَنتُ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اَ۬لذِےٓ ءَامَنَتْ بِهِۦ بَنُوٓاْ إِسْرَآءِيلَ وَأَنَا مِنَ اَ۬لْمُسْلِمِينَۖ ﱙ

Wajâwaznâ bibanî isrâ'îla lbahra fa'atba‘ahum fir‘awnu wajunûduhû baghyan wa‘adwan hattâ idhâ adrakahu lgharaqu qâla âmantu annahû lâ ilâha illâ lladhî âmanat bihî banû isrâ'îla wa'anâ mina lmuslimîn

Et Nous fîmes traverser la mer aux Enfants d'Israël. Pharaon et ses armées les poursuivirent avec acharnement et inimitié. Puis, quand la noyade l'eut atteint, il dit: «Je crois qu'il n'y a d'autre divinité que Celui en qui ont cru les enfants d'Israël. Et je suis du nombre des soumis»

And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them in tyranny and enmity until, when drowning overtook him, he said, "I believe that there is no deity except that in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of the Muslims

ءَالَٰنَ وَقَدْ عَصَيْتَ قَبْلُ وَكُنتَ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُفْسِدِينَۖ ﱚ

Âlâna waqad ‘asayta qablu wakunta mina lmufsidîn

[Allah dit]: Maintenant? Alors qu'auparavant tu as désobéi et que tu as été du nombre des corrupteurs

Now? And you had disobeyed [Him] before and were of the corrupters

فَالْيَوْمَ نُنَجِّيكَ بِبَدَنِكَ لِتَكُونَ لِمَنْ خَلْفَكَ ءَايَةٗۖ وَإِنَّ كَثِيراٗ مِّنَ اَ۬لنَّاسِ عَنَ اٰيَٰتِنَا لَغَٰفِلُونَۖ ﱛ

Falyawma nunajjîka bibadanika litakûna liman khalfaka âyatan wa'inna kathîram mina nnâsi ‘ana âyâtinâ laghâfilûn

Nous allons aujourd'hui épargner ton corps, afin que tu deviennes un signe à tes successeurs. Cependant beaucoup de gens ne prêtent aucune attention à Nos signes (d'avertissement)

So today We will save you in body that you may be to those who succeed you a sign. And indeed, many among the people, of Our signs, are heedless

۞ وَلَقَدْ بَوَّأْنَا بَنِےٓ إِسْرَآءِيلَ مُبَوَّأَ صِدْقٖ وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم مِّنَ اَ۬لطَّيِّبَٰتِ فَمَا اَ۪خْتَلَفُواْ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ اُ۬لْعِلْمُۖ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِے بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ اَ۬لْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَۖ ﱜ

Walaqad bawwa'nâ banî isrâ'îla mubawwa'a sidqin warazaqnâhum mina ttayyibâti famâ khtalafû hattâ jâ'ahumu l‘ilmu inna rabbaka yaqdî baynahum yawma lqiyâmati fîmâ kânû fîhi yakhtalifûn

Certes, Nous avons établi les Enfants d'Israël dans un endroit honorable, et leur avons attribué comme nourriture de bons aliments. Par la suite, ils n'ont divergé qu'au moment où leur vint la science. Ton Seigneur décidera entre eux, au Jour de la Résurrection sur ce qui les divisait

And We had certainty settled the Children of Israel in an agreeable settlement and provided them with good things. And they did not differ until [after] knowledge had come to them. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ

فَإِن كُنتَ فِے شَكّٖ مِّمَّآ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ فَسْـَٔلِ اِ۬لذِينَ يَقْرَءُونَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكَۖ لَقَدْ جَآءَكَ اَ۬لْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُمْتَرِينَۖ ﱝ

Fa'in kunta fî shakkim mimmâ anzalnâ ilayka fas'ali lladhîna yaqra'ûna lkitâba min qablika laqad jâ'aka lhaqqu mir rabbika falâ takûnanna mina lmumtarîn

Et si tu es en doute sur ce que Nous avons fait descendre vers toi, interroge alors ceux qui lisent le Livre révélé avant toi. La vérité certes, t'est venue de ton Seigneur: ne sois donc point de ceux qui doutent

So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters

وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ اَ۬لذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ اِ۬للَّهِ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ اَ۬لْخَٰسِرِينَۖ ﱞ

Walâ takûnanna mina lladhîna kadhdhabû bi'âyâti llâhi fatakûna mina lkhâsirîn

Et ne sois point de ceux qui traitent de mensonge les versets d'Allah. Tu serais alors du nombre des perdants

And never be of those who deny the signs of Allah and [thus] be among the losers

إِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِمْ كَلِمَٰتُ رَبِّكَ لَا يُومِنُونَ ﱟ

Inna lladhîna haqqat ‘alayhim kalimâtu rabbika lâ yûminûn

Ceux contre qui la parole (la menace) de ton Seigneur se réalisera ne croiront pas

Indeed, those upon whom the word of your Lord has come into effect will not believe

وَلَوْ جَآءَتْهُمْ كُلُّ ءَايَةٍ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُاْ اُ۬لْعَذَابَ اَ۬لَالِيمَۖ ﱠ

Walaw jâ'athum kullu âyatin hattâ yarawu l‘adhâba lalîm

même si tous les signes leur parvenaient, jusqu'à ce qu'ils voient le châtiment douloureux

Even if every sign should come to them, until they see the painful punishment

فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ اٰمَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ إِيمَٰنُهَآ إِلَّا قَوْمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّآ ءَامَنُواْ كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ اَ۬لْخِزْيِ فِے اِ۬لْحَيَوٰةِ اِ۬لدُّنْي۪ا وَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمُۥٓ إِلَىٰ حِينٖۖ ﱡ

Falawlâ kânat qaryatun âmanat fanafa‘ahâ îmânuhâ illâ qawma yûnusa lammâ âmanû kashafnâ ‘anhum ‘adhâba lkhizyi fî lhayawâti ddunyê wamatta‘nâhumû ilâ hîn

Si seulement il y avait, à part le peuple de Yûnus (Jonas), une cité qui ait cru et à qui sa croyance eut ensuite profité! Lorsqu'ils eurent cru, Nous leur enlevâmes le châtiment d'ignominie dans la vie présente et leur donnâmes jouissance pour un certain temps

Then has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment for a time

وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ لَأٓمَنَ مَن فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ كُلُّهُمْ جَمِيعاًۖ اَفَأَنتَ تُكْرِهُ اُ۬لنَّاسَ حَتَّىٰ يَكُونُواْ مُومِنِينَۖ ﱢ

Walaw shâ'a rabbuka la'mana man fî lardi kulluhum jamî‘ana fa'anta tukrihu nnâsa hattâ yakûnû mûminîn

Si ton Seigneur l'avait voulu, tous ceux qui sont sur la terre auraient cru. Est-ce à toi de contraindre les gens à devenir croyants

And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely. Then, [O Muhammad], would you compel the people in order that they become believers

وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ اَن تُومِنَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ وَيَجْعَلُ اُ۬لرِّجْسَ عَلَى اَ۬لذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَۖ ﱣ

Wamâ kâna linafsina n tûmina illâ bi'idhni llâhi wayaj‘alu rrijsa ‘alâ lladhîna lâ ya‘qilûn

Il n'appartient nullement à une âme de croire si ce n'est avec la permission d'Allah. Et Il voue au châtiment ceux qui ne raisonnent pas

And it is not for a soul to believe except by permission of Allah, and He will place defilement upon those who will not use reason

قُلُ اُ۟نظُرُواْ مَاذَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِ وَمَا تُغْنِے اِ۬لَايَٰتُ وَالنُّذُرُ عَن قَوْمٖ لَّا يُومِنُونَۖ ﱤ

Qulu nzurû mâdhâ fî ssamâwâti walardi wamâ tughnî layâtu wannudhuru ‘an qawmil lâ yûminûn

Dis: «Regardez ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre». Mais ni les preuves ni les avertisseurs (prophètes) ne suffisent à des gens qui ne croient pas

Say, "Observe what is in the heavens and earth." But of no avail will be signs or warners to a people who do not believe

فَهَلْ يَنتَظِرُونَ إِلَّا مِثْلَ أَيَّامِ اِ۬لذِينَ خَلَوْاْ مِن قَبْلِهِمْۖ قُلْ فَانتَظِرُوٓاْۖ إِنِّے مَعَكُم مِّنَ اَ۬لْمُنتَظِرِينَۖ ﱥ

Fahal yantazirûna illâ mithla ayyâmi lladhîna khalaw min qablihim qul fântazirû innî ma‘akum mina lmuntazirîn

Est-ce qu'ils attendent autre chose que des châtiments semblables à ceux des peuples antérieurs? Dis: «Attendez! Moi aussi, j'attends avec vous»

So do they wait except for like [what occurred in] the days of those who passed on before them? Say, "Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait

ثُمَّ نُنَجِّے رُسُلَنَا وَالذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كَذَٰلِكَۖ حَقّاً عَلَيْنَا نُنَجِّ اِ۬لْمُومِنِينَۖ ﱦ

Thumma nunajjî rusulanâ walladhîna âmanû kadhâlika haqqan ‘alaynâ nunajji lmûminîn

Ensuite, Nous délivrerons Nos messagers et les croyants. C'est ainsi qu'il Nous incombe [en toute justice] de délivrer les croyants

Then We will save our messengers and those who have believed. Thus, it is an obligation upon Us that We save the believers

۞ قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِے شَكّٖ مِّن دِينِے فَلَآ أَعْبُدُ اُ۬لذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ وَلَٰكِنَ اَعْبُدُ اُ۬للَّهَ اَ۬لذِے يَتَوَفّ۪يٰكُمْۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنَ اَكُونَ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُومِنِينَ ﱧ

Qul yâ'ayyuhâ nnâsu in kuntum fî shakkim min dînî falâ a‘budu lladhîna ta‘budûna min dûni llâhi walâkina ‘budu llâha lladhî yatawaffêkum wa'umirtu ana kûna mina lmûminîn

Dis: «O gens! Si vous êtes en doute sur ma religion, moi, je n'adore point ceux que vous adorez en dehors d'Allah; mais j'adore Allah qui vous fera mourir. Et il m'a été commandé d'être du nombre des croyants»

Say, [O Muhammad], "O people, if you are in doubt as to my religion - then I do not worship those which you worship besides Allah; but I worship Allah, who causes your death. And I have been commanded to be of the believers

وَأَنَ اَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفاٗۖ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُشْرِكِينَۖ ﱨ

Wa'ana qim wajhaka liddîni hanîfan walâ takûnanna mina lmushrikîn

Et (il m'a été dit): «Oriente-toi exclusivement sur la religion en pur monothéiste! Et ne sois pas du nombre des Associateurs

And [commanded], 'Direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth, and never be of those who associate others with Allah

وَلَا تَدْعُ مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكَ وَلَا يَضُرُّكَۖ فَإِن فَعَلْتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذاٗ مِّنَ اَ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَۖ ﱩ

Walâ tad‘u min dûni llâhi mâ lâ yanfa‘uka walâ yadurruka fa'in fa‘alta fa'innaka idham mina zzâlimîn

et n'invoque pas, en dehors d'Allah, ce qui ne peut te profiter ni te nuire. Et si tu le fais, tu seras alors du nombre des injustes»

And do not invoke besides Allah that which neither benefits you nor harms you, for if you did, then indeed you would be of the wrongdoers

وَإِنْ يَّمْسَسْكَ اَ۬للَّهُ بِضُرّٖ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَۖ وَإِنْ يُّرِدْكَ بِخَيْرٖ فَلَا رَآدَّ لِفَضْلِهِۦۖ يُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لْغَفُورُ اُ۬لرَّحِيمُۖ ﱪ

Wa'iy yamsaska llâhu bidurrin falâ kâshifa lahû illâ huwa wa'iy yuridka bikhayrin falâ râdda lifadlihî yusîbu bihî may yashâ'u min ‘ibâdihî wahuwa lghafûru rrahîm

Et si Allah fait qu'un mal te touche, nul ne peut l'écarter en dehors de Lui. Et s'Il te veut un bien, nul ne peut repousser Sa grâce. Il en gratifie qui Il veut parmi Ses serviteurs. Et c'est Lui le Pardonneur, le Miséricordieux

And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He intends for you good, then there is no repeller of His bounty. He causes it to reach whom He wills of His servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful

قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُمُ اُ۬لْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْۖ فَمَنِ اِ۪هْتَد۪ىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِے لِنَفْسِهِۦۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَاۖ وَمَآ أَنَا عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٖۖ ﱫ

Qul yâ'ayyuhâ nnâsu qad jâ'akumu lhaqqu mir rabbikum famani htadê fa'innamâ yahtadî linafsihî waman dalla fa'innamâ yadillu ‘alayhâ wamâ anâ ‘alaykum biwakîl

Dis: «O gens! Certes la vérité vous est venue de votre Seigneur. Donc, quiconque est dans le bon chemin ne l'est que pour lui-même; et quiconque s'égare, ne s'égare qu'à son propre détriment. Je ne suis nullement un protecteur pour vous

Say, "O mankind, the truth has come to you from your Lord, so whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever goes astray only goes astray [in violation] against it. And I am not over you a manager

وَاتَّبِعْ مَا يُوح۪ىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَاصْبِرْ حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ اَ۬للَّهُۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ اُ۬لْحَٰكِمِينَۖ ﱬ

Wattabi‘ mâ yûhê ilayka wasbir hattâ yahkuma llâhu wahuwa khayru lhâkimîn

Et suis ce qui t'est révélé, et sois constant jusqu'à ce qu'Allah rende Son jugement car Il est le meilleur des juges

And follow what is revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and be patient until Allah will judge. And He is the best of judges
