يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّبِےٓءُ اِ۪ذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ اُ۬لنِّسَآءَ فَطَلِّقُوهُنَّ لِعِدَّتِهِنَّ وَأَحْصُواْ اُ۬لْعِدَّةَۖ وَاتَّقُواْ اُ۬للَّهَ رَبَّكُمْۖ لَا تُخْرِجُوهُنَّ مِنۢ بُيُوتِهِنَّۖ وَلَا يَخْرُجْنَ إِلَّآ أَنْ يَّاتِينَ بِفَٰحِشَةٖ مُّبَيِّنَةٖۖ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ اُ۬للَّهِۖ وَمَنْ يَّتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ اَ۬للَّهِ فَقَد ظَّلَمَ نَفْسَهُۥۖ لَا تَدْرِے لَعَلَّ اَ۬للَّهَ يُحْدِثُ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ أَمْراٗۖ ﰀ

Yâ'ayyuhâ nnabî'u dhâ tallaqtumu nnisâ'a fatalliqûhunna li‘iddatihinna wa'ahsû l‘iddata wattaqû llâha rabbakum lâ tukhrijûhunna mim buyûtihinna walâ yakhrujna illâ ay yâtîna bifâhishatim mubayyinatin watilka hudûdu llâhi wamay yata‘adda hudûda llâhi faqad zalama nafsahû lâ tadrî la‘alla llâha yuhdithu ba‘da dhâlika amrâ

O Prophète! Quand vous répudiez les femmes, répudiez-les conformément à leur période d'attente prescrite; et comptez la période; et craignez Allah votre Seigneur. Ne les faites pas sortir de leurs maisons, et qu'elles n'en sortent pas, à moins qu'elles n'aient commis une turpitude prouvée. Telles sont les lois d'Allah. Quiconque cependant transgresse les lois d'Allah, se fait du tort à lui-même. Tu ne sais pas si d'ici là Allah ne suscitera pas quelque chose de nouveau

O Prophet, when you [Muslims] divorce women, divorce them for [the commencement of] their waiting period and keep count of the waiting period, and fear Allah, your Lord. Do not turn them out of their [husbands'] houses, nor should they [themselves] leave [during that period] unless they are committing a clear immorality. And those are the limits [set by] Allah. And whoever transgresses the limits of Allah has certainly wronged himself. You know not; perhaps Allah will bring about after that a [different] matter

فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ اَوْ فَارِقُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٖۖ وَأَشْهِدُواْ ذَوَےْ عَدْلٖ مِّنكُمْۖ وَأَقِيمُواْ اُ۬لشَّهَٰدَةَ لِلهِۖ ذَٰلِكُمْ يُوعَظُ بِهِۦ مَن كَانَ يُومِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ اِ۬لَاخِرِۖ وَمَنْ يَّتَّقِ اِ۬للَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مَخْرَجاٗ ﰁ

Fa'idhâ balaghna ajalahunna fa'amsikûhunna bima‘rûfina w fâriqûhunna bima‘rûfin wa'ashhidû dhaway ‘adlim minkum wa'aqîmû shshahâdata lillâhi dhâlikum yû‘azu bihî man kâna yûminu billâhi walyawmi lakhiri wamay yattaqi llâha yaj‘al lahû makhrajâ

Puis quand elles atteignent le terme prescrit, retenez-les de façon convenable, ou séparez-vous d'elles de façon convenable; et prenez deux hommes intègres parmi vous comme témoins. Et acquittez-vous du témoignage envers Allah. Voilà ce à quoi est exhorté celui qui croit en Allah et au Jour dernier. Et quiconque craint Allah, Il Lui donnera une issue favorable

And when they have [nearly] fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or part with them according to acceptable terms. And bring to witness two just men from among you and establish the testimony for [the acceptance of] Allah. That is instructed to whoever should believe in Allah and the Last day. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out

وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُۖ وَمَنْ يَّتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُۥٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ بَٰلِغٌ اَمْرَهُۥۖ قَدْ جَعَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَےْءٖ قَدْراٗۖ ﰂ

Wayarzuqhu min haythu lâ yahtasibu wamay yatawakkal ‘alâ llâhi fahuwa hasbuhû inna llâha bâlighuna mrahû qad ja‘ala llâhu likulli shay'in qadrâ

et lui accordera Ses dons par [des moyens] sur lesquels il ne comptait pas. Et quiconque place sa confiance en Allah, Il [Allah] lui suffit. Allah atteint ce qu'Il Se propose, et Allah a assigné une mesure à chaque chose

And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent

وَال۪ےْ يَئِسْنَ مِنَ اَ۬لْمَحِيضِ مِن نِّسَآئِكُمُۥٓ إِنِ اِ۪رْتَبْتُمْ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلَٰثَةُ أَشْهُرٖ وَال۪ےْ لَمْ يَحِضْنَۖ وَأُوْلَٰتُ اُ۬لَاحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَنْ يَّضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّۖ وَمَنْ يَّتَّقِ اِ۬للَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مِنَ اَمْرِهِۦ يُسْراٗۖ ﰃ

Waley ya'isna mina lmahîdi min nisâ'ikumû ini rtabtum fa‘iddatuhunna thalâthatu ashhurin waley lam yahidna wa'ulâtu lahmâli ajaluhunna ay yada‘na hamlahunna wamay yattaqi llâha yaj‘al lahû mina mrihî yusrâ

Si vous avez des doutes à propos (de la période d'attente) de vos femmes qui n'espèrent plus avoir de règles, leur délai est de trois mois. De même pour celles qui n'ont pas encore de règles. Et quant à celles qui sont enceintes, leur période d'attente se terminera à leur accouchement. Quiconque craint Allah cependant, Il lui facilite les choses

And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women - if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease

ذَٰلِكَ أَمْرُ اُ۬للَّهِ أَنزَلَهُۥٓ إِلَيْكُمْۖ وَمَنْ يَّتَّقِ اِ۬للَّهَ يُكَفِّرْ عَنْهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ وَيُعْظِمْ لَهُۥٓ أَجْراًۖ ﰄ

Dhâlika amru llâhi anzalahû ilaykum wamay yattaqi llâha yukaffir ‘anhu sayyi'âtihî wayu‘zim lahû ajrâ

Tel est le commandement d'Allah qu'Il a fait descendre vers vous. Quiconque craint Allah cependant, Il lui efface ses fautes et lui accorde une grosse récompense

That is the command of Allah, which He has sent down to you; and whoever fears Allah - He will remove for him his misdeeds and make great for him his reward

اَسْكِنُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ سَكَنتُم مِّنْ وُّجْدِكُمْۖ وَلَا تُضَآرُّوهُنَّ لِتُضَيِّقُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّۖ وَإِن كُنَّ أُوْلَٰتِ حَمْلٖ فَأَنفِقُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّۖ فَإِنَ اَرْضَعْنَ لَكُمْ فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَاتَمِرُواْ بَيْنَكُم بِمَعْرُوفٖۖ ۞ وَإِن تَعَاسَرْتُمْ فَسَتُرْضِعُ لَهُۥٓ أُخْر۪ىٰۖ ﰅ

Askinûhunna min haythu sakantum miw wujdikum walâ tudârrûhunna litudayyiqû ‘alayhinna wa'in kunna ulâti hamlin fa'anfiqû ‘alayhinna hattâ yada‘na hamlahunna fa'ina rda‘na lakum fa'âtûhunna ujûrahunna wâtamirû baynakum bima‘rûfin wa'in ta‘âsartum fasaturdi‘u lahû ukhrê

Et faites que ces femmes habitent où vous habitez, et suivant vos moyens. Et ne cherchez pas à leur nuire en les contraignant à vivre à l'étroit. Et si elles sont enceintes, pourvoyez à leurs besoins jusqu'à ce qu'elles aient accouché. Puis, si elles allaitent [l'enfant né] de vous, donnez-leur leurs salaires. Et concertez vous [à ce sujet] de façon convenable. Et si vous rencontrez des difficultés réciproques, alors, une autre allaitera pour lui

Lodge them [in a section] of where you dwell out of your means and do not harm them in order to oppress them. And if they should be pregnant, then spend on them until they give birth. And if they breastfeed for you, then give them their payment and confer among yourselves in the acceptable way; but if you are in discord, then there may breastfeed for the father another woman

لِيُنفِقْ ذُو سَعَةٖ مِّن سَعَتِهِۦۖ وَمَن قُدِرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُۥ فَلْيُنفِقْ مِمَّآ ءَات۪يٰهُ اُ۬للَّهُۖ لَا يُكَلِّفُ اُ۬للَّهُ نَفْساً اِلَّا مَآ ءَات۪يٰهَاۖ سَيَجْعَلُ اُ۬للَّهُ بَعْدَ عُسْرٖ يُسْراٗۖ ﰆ

Liyunfiq dhû sa‘atim min sa‘atihî waman qudira ‘alayhi rizquhû falyunfiq mimmâ âtêhu llâhu lâ yukallifu llâhu nafsani llâ mâ âtêhâ sayaj‘alu llâhu ba‘da ‘usrin yusrâ

Que celui qui est aisé dépense de sa fortune; et que celui dont les biens sont restreints dépense selon ce qu'Allah lui a accordé. Allah n'impose à personne que selon ce qu'Il lui a donné, et Allah fera succéder l'aisance à la gêne

Let a man of wealth spend from his wealth, and he whose provision is restricted - let him spend from what Allah has given him. Allah does not charge a soul except [according to] what He has given it. Allah will bring about, after hardship, ease

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ عَتَتْ عَنَ اَمْرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِۦ فَحَاسَبْنَٰهَا حِسَاباٗ شَدِيداٗ وَعَذَّبْنَٰهَا عَذَاباٗ نُّكُراٗ ﰇ

Waka'ayyim min qaryatin ‘atat ‘ana mri rabbihâ warusulihî fahâsabnâhâ hisâban shadîdan wa‘adhdhabnâhâ ‘adhâban nukurâ

Que de cités ont refusé avec insolence le commandement de leur Seigneur et de Ses messagers! Nous leur en demandâmes compte avec sévérité, et les châtiâmes d'un châtiment inouï

And how many a city was insolent toward the command of its Lord and His messengers, so We took it to severe account and punished it with a terrible punishment

فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَاۖ وَكَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْراًۖ ﰈ

Fadhâqat wabâla amrihâ wakâna ‘âqibatu amrihâ khusrâ

Elles goûtèrent donc la conséquence de leur comportement. Et le résultat final de leurs actions fut [leur] perdition

And it tasted the bad consequence of its affair, and the outcome of its affair was loss

اَعَدَّ اَ۬للَّهُ لَهُمْ عَذَاباٗ شَدِيداٗۖ فَاتَّقُواْ اُ۬للَّهَ يَٰٓأُوْلِے اِ۬لَالْبَٰبِۖ اِ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ قَدَ اَنزَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ إِلَيْكُمْ ذِكْراٗۖ ﰉ

A‘adda llâhu lahum ‘adhâban shadîdan fattaqû llâha yâ'ulî lalbâbi lladhîna âmanû qada nzala llâhu ilaykum dhikrâ

Allah a préparé pour eux un dur châtiment. Craignez Allah donc, ô vous qui êtes doués d'intelligence, vous qui avez la foi. Certes, Allah a fait descendre vers vous un rappel

Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment; so fear Allah, O you of understanding who have believed. Allah has sent down to you the Qur'an

رَّسُولاٗ يَتْلُواْ عَلَيْكُمُۥٓ ءَايَٰتِ اِ۬للَّهِ مُبَيَّنَٰتٖ لِّيُخْرِجَ اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِنَ اَ۬لظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى اَ۬لنُّورِۖ وَمَنْ يُّومِنۢ بِاللَّهِ وَيَعْمَلْ صَٰلِحاٗ نُّدْخِلْهُ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجْرِے مِن تَحْتِهَا اَ۬لَانْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَداٗ قَدَ اَحْسَنَ اَ۬للَّهُ لَهُۥ رِزْقاًۖ ﰊ

Rasûlan yatlû ‘alaykumû âyâti llâhi mubayyanâtil liyukhrija lladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti mina zzulumâti ilâ nnûri wamay yûmim billâhi waya‘mal sâlihan nudkhilhu jannâtin tajrî min tahtihâ lanhâru khâlidîna fîhâ abadan qada hsana llâhu lahû rizqâ

un Messager qui vous récite les versets d'Allah comme preuves claires, afin de faire sortir ceux qui croient et accomplissent les bonnes œuvres des ténèbres à la lumière. Et quiconque croit en Allah et fait le bien, Il le fait entrer aux Jardins sous lesquels coulent les ruisseaux, pour y demeurer éternellement. Allah lui a fait une belle attribution

[He sent] a Messenger [Muhammad] reciting to you the distinct verses of Allah that He may bring out those who believe and do righteous deeds from darknesses into the light. And whoever believes in Allah and does righteousness - He will admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein forever. Allah will have perfected for him a provision

اِ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لذِے خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ وَمِنَ اَ۬لَارْضِ مِثْلَهُنَّۖ يَتَنَزَّلُ اُ۬لَامْرُ بَيْنَهُنَّ لِتَعْلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَےْءٖ قَدِيرٞ وَأَنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ قَدَ اَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَےْءٍ عِلْماٗۖ ﰋ

Allâhu lladhî khalaqa sab‘a samâwâtin wamina lardi mithlahunna yatanazzalu lamru baynahunna lita‘lamû anna llâha ‘alâ kulli shay'in qadîrun wa'anna llâha qada hâta bikulli shay'in ‘ilmâ

Allah qui a créé sept cieux et autant de terres. Entre eux [Son] commandement descend, afin que vous sachiez qu'Allah est en vérité Omnipotent et qu'Allah a embrassé toute chose de [Son] savoir

It is Allah who has created seven heavens and of the earth, the like of them. [His] command descends among them so you may know that Allah is over all things competent and that Allah has encompassed all things in knowledge
