اِ۬لْحَمْدُ لِلهِ اِ۬لذِے خَلَقَ اَ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضَ وَجَعَلَ اَ۬لظُّلُمَٰتِ وَالنُّورَ ﰀ

Alhamdu lillâhi lladhî khalaqa ssamâwâti walarda waja‘ala zzulumâti wannûr

Louange à Allah qui a créé les cieux et la terre, et établi les ténèbres et la lumière. Pourtant, les mécréants donnent des égaux à leur Seigneur

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord

ثُمَّ اَ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَۖ ﰁ

Thumma lladhîna kafarû birabbihim ya‘dilûn

هُوَ اَ۬لذِے خَلَقَكُم مِّن طِينٖ ثُمَّ قَض۪ىٰٓ أَجَلاٗۖ وَأَجَلٞ مُّسَمّىً عِندَهُۥۖ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَۖ ﰂ

Huwa lladhî khalaqakum min tînin thumma qadê ajalan wa'ajalum musamman ‘indahû thumma antum tamtarûn

C'est Lui qui vous a créés d'argile; puis il vous a décrété un terme, et il y a un terme fixé auprès de Lui. Pourtant, vous doutez encore

It is He who created you from clay and then decreed a term and a specified time [known] to Him; then [still] you are in dispute

وَهُوَ اَ۬للَّهُ فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَفِے اِ۬لَارْضِ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُونَۖ ﰃ

Wahuwa llâhu fî ssamâwâti wafî lardi ya‘lamu sirrakum wajahrakum waya‘lamu mâ taksibûn

Et Lui, Il est Allah dans les cieux et sur la terre. Il connaît ce que vous cachez en vous et ce que vous divulguez et Il sait ce que vous acquérez

And He is Allah, [the only deity] in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secret and what you make public, and He knows that which you earn

وَمَا تَاتِيهِم مِّنَ اٰيَةٖ مِّنَ اٰيَٰتِ رَبِّهِمُۥٓ إِلَّا كَانُواْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَۖ ﰄ

Wamâ tâtîhim mina âyatim mina âyâti rabbihimû illâ kânû ‘anhâ mu‘ridîn

Et il ne leur vient aucun des signes d'entre les signes de leur Seigneur, sans qu'ils ne s'en détournent

And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away therefrom

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُواْ بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْۖ فَسَوْفَ يَاتِيهِمُۥٓ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُاْ مَا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَۖ ﰅ

Faqad kadhdhabû bilhaqqi lammâ jâ'ahum fasawfa yâtîhimû ambâ'u mâ kânû bihî yastahzi'ûn

Ils traitent de mensonge la vérité quand celle-ci leur vient. Mais ils vont avoir des nouvelles de ce dont ils se moquent

For they had denied the truth when it came to them, but there is going to reach them the news of what they used to ridicule

أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ كَمَ اَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٖ مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْۖ وَأَرْسَلْنَا اَ۬لسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَاراٗۖ وَجَعَلْنَا اَ۬لَانْهَٰرَ تَجْرِے مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْۖ وَأَنشَأْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْناً اٰخَرِينَۖ ﰆ

Alam yaraw kama hlaknâ min qablihim min qarnim makkannâhum fî lardi mâ lam numakkil lakum wa'arsalnâ ssamâ'a ‘alayhim midrâran waja‘alnâ lanhâra tajrî min tahtihim fa'ahlaknâhum bidhunûbihim wa'ansha'nâ mim ba‘dihim qarnan âkharîn

N'ont-ils pas vu combien de générations, avant eux, Nous avons détruites, auxquelles Nous avions donné pouvoir sur terre, bien plus que ce que Nous vous avons donnés? Nous avions envoyé, sur eux, du ciel, la pluie en abondance, et Nous avions fait couler des rivières à leurs pieds. Puis Nous les avons détruites, pour leurs péchés; et Nous avons créé après eux, une nouvelle génération

Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَٰباٗ فِے قِرْطَاسٖ فَلَمَسُوهُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ لَقَالَ اَ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٞ مُّبِينٞۖ ﰇ

Walaw nazzalnâ ‘alayka kitâban fî qirtâsin falamasûhu bi'aydîhim laqâla lladhîna kafarû in hâdhâ illâ sihrum mubîn

Même si Nous avions fait descendre sur toi (Muhammad) un Livre en papier qu'ils pouvaient toucher de leurs mains, ceux qui ne croient pas auraient certainement dit: «Ce n'est que de la magie évidente!»

And even if We had sent down to you, [O Muhammad], a written scripture on a page and they touched it with their hands, the disbelievers would say, "This is not but obvious magic

وَقَالُواْ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٞۖ وَلَوَ اَنزَلْنَا مَلَكاٗ لَّقُضِيَ اَ۬لَامْرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنظَرُونَۖ ﰈ

Waqâlû lawlâ unzila ‘alayhi malakun walawa nzalnâ malakal laqudiya lamru thumma lâ yunzarûn

Et ils disent: «Pourquoi n'a-t-on pas fait descendre sur lui (Muhammad) un Ange?» Si Nous avions fait descendre un Ange, c'eût été, sûrement, affaire faite; puis on ne leur eût point donné de délai

And they say, "Why was there not sent down to him an angel?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided; then they would not be reprieved

وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَٰهُ مَلَكاٗ لَّجَعَلْنَٰهُ رَجُلاٗ وَلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّا يَلْبِسُونَۖ ﰉ

Walaw ja‘alnâhu malakal laja‘alnâhu rajulan walalabasnâ ‘alayhim mâ yalbisûn

Si Nous avions désigné un Ange [comme prophète], Nous aurions fait de lui un homme et Nous leur aurions causé la même confusion que celle dans laquelle ils sont

And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves

وَلَقَدُ اُ۟سْتُهْزِۓَ بِرُسُلٖ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالذِينَ سَخِرُواْ مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَۖ ﰊ

Walaqadu stuhzî'a birusulim min qablika fahâqa billadhîna sakhirû minhum mâ kânû bihî yastahzi'ûn

Certes, on s'est moqué de messagers avant toi, mais ceux qui se sont raillés d'eux, leur propre raillerie les enveloppa

And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule

قُلْ سِيرُواْ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ ثُمَّ اَ۟نظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ اُ۬لْمُكَذِّبِينَۖ ﰋ

Qul sîrû fî lardi thumma nzurû kayfa kâna ‘âqibatu lmukadhdhibîn

Dis: «Parcourez la terre et regardez ce qu'il est advenu de ceux qui traitaient la vérité de mensonge»

Say, "Travel through the land; then observe how was the end of the deniers

قُل لِّمَن مَّا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِ قُل لِّلهِۖ كَتَبَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ اِ۬لرَّحْمَةَۖ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمُۥٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ اِ۬لْقِيَٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِۖ اِ۬لذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُومِنُونَۖ ﰌ

Qul limam mâ fî ssamâwâti walardi qul lillâhi kataba ‘alâ nafsihi rrahmata layajma‘annakumû ilâ yawmi lqiyâmati lâ rayba fîhi lladhîna khasirû anfusahum fahum lâ yûminûn

Dis: «A qui appartient ce qui est dans les cieux et la terre?» Dis: «A Allah!» Il S'est à Lui-même prescrit la miséricorde. Il vous rassemblera, certainement, au Jour de la Résurrection: il n'y a pas de doute là-dessus. Ceux qui font leur propre perte sont ceux qui ne croient pas

Say, "To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth?" Say, "To Allah." He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Those who will lose themselves [that Day] do not believe

۞ وَلَهُۥ مَا سَكَنَ فِے اِ۬ليْلِ وَالنَّه۪ارِۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لسَّمِيعُ اُ۬لْعَلِيمُۖ ﰍ

Walahû mâ sakana fî llayli wannahêri wahuwa ssamî‘u l‘alîm

Et à Lui tout ce qui réside dans la nuit et le jour. C'est Lui qui est l'Audient, l'Omniscient

And to Him belongs that which reposes by night and by day, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing

قُلَ اَغَيْرَ اَ۬للَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيّاٗ فَاطِرِ اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِۖ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُۖ قُلِ اِنِّيَ أُمِرْتُ أَنَ اَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنَ اَسْلَمَۖ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُشْرِكِينَۖ ﰎ

Qula ghayra llâhi attakhidhu waliyyan fâtiri ssamâwâti walardi wahuwa yut‘imu walâ yut‘amu quli nniya umirtu ana kûna awwala mana slama walâ takûnanna mina lmushrikîn

Dis: «Devais-je prendre pour allié autre qu'Allah, le Créateur des cieux et de la terre? C'est Lui qui nourrit et personne ne Le nourrit. Dis: «On m'a commandé d'être le premier à me soumettre». Et ne sois jamais du nombre des associateurs

Say, "Is it other than Allah I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and the earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allah] and [was commanded], 'Do not ever be of the polytheists

قُلِ اِنِّيَ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّے عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٖۖ ﰏ

Quli nniya akhâfu in ‘asaytu rabbî ‘adhâba yawmin ‘azîm

Dis: «Je crains, si je désobéis à mon Seigneur, le châtiment d'un jour redoutable»

Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day

مَّنْ يُّصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٖ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُۥۖ وَذَٰلِكَ اَ۬لْفَوْزُ اُ۬لْمُبِينُۖ ﰐ

May yusraf ‘anhu yawma'idhin faqad rahimahû wadhâlika lfawzu lmubîn

En ce jour, quiconque est épargné, c'est qu'[Allah] lui a fait miséricorde. Et voilà le succès éclatant

He from whom it is averted that Day - [Allah] has granted him mercy. And that is the clear attainment

وَإِنْ يَّمْسَسْكَ اَ۬للَّهُ بِضُرّٖ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَۖ وَإِنْ يَّمْسَسْكَ بِخَيْرٖ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَےْءٖ قَدِيرٞۖ ﰑ

Wa'iy yamsaska llâhu bidurrin falâ kâshifa lahû illâ huwa wa'iy yamsaska bikhayrin fahuwa ‘alâ kulli shay'in qadîr

Et si Allah fait qu'un malheur te touche, nul autre que Lui ne peut l'enlever. Et s'Il fait qu'un bonheur te touche... c'est qu'Il est Omnipotent

And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him. And if He touches you with good - then He is over all things competent

وَهُوَ اَ۬لْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لْحَكِيمُ اُ۬لْخَبِيرُۖ ﰒ

Wahuwa lqâhiru fawqa ‘ibâdihî wahuwa lhakîmu lkhabîr

C'est Lui le Dominateur Suprême sur Ses serviteurs; c'est Lui le Sage, le Parfaitement Connaisseur

And He is the subjugator over His servants. And He is the Wise, the Acquainted [with all]

قُلَ اَيُّ شَےْءٍ اَكْبَرُ شَهَٰدَةٗ قُلِ اِ۬للَّهُۖ شَهِيدُۢ بَيْنِے وَبَيْنَكُمْۖ وَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ هَٰذَا اَ۬لْقُرْءَانُ لِأُنذِرَكُم بِهِۦ وَمَنۢ بَلَغَۖ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ مَعَ اَ۬للَّهِ ءَالِهَةً ا۟خْر۪ىٰ قُل لَّآ أَشْهَدُۖ قُلِ اِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞۖ وَإِنَّنِے بَرِےٓءٞ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَۖ ﰓ

Qula yyu shay'ina kbaru shahâdatan quli llâhu shahîdum baynî wabaynakum wa'ûhiya ilayya hâdhâ lqur'ânu li'undhirakum bihî wamam balagha a'innakum latashhadûna anna ma‘a llâhi âlihatan ukhrê qul lâ ashhadu quli nnamâ huwa ilâhun wâhidun wa'innanî barî'um mimmâ tushrikûn

Dis: «Qu'y a-t-il de plus grand en fait de témoignage?» Dis: «Allah est témoin entre moi et vous; et ce Coran m'a été révélé pour que je vous avertisse, par sa voie, vous et tous ceux qu'il atteindra. «Est-ce vous vraiment qui attestez qu'il y ait avec Allah d'autres divinités? Dis: «Je n'atteste pas». Dis [aussi]: «Il n'y a qu'une Divinité Unique. Et moi, je désavoue ce que vous (Lui) associez»

Say, "What thing is greatest in testimony?" Say, "Allah is witness between me and you. And this Qur'an was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you [truly] testify that with Allah there are other deities?" Say, "I will not testify [with you]." Say, "Indeed, He is but one God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate [with Him]

اَ۬لذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ اُ۬لْكِتَٰبَ يَعْرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَآءَهُمُۖ اُ۬لذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُومِنُونَۖ ﰔ

Alladhîna âtaynâhumu lkitâba ya‘rifûnahû kamâ ya‘rifûna abnâ'ahumu lladhîna khasirû anfusahum fahum lâ yûminûn

Ceux à qui Nous avons donné le Livre reconnaissent (le Messager Muhammad) comme ils reconnaissent leurs propres enfants. Ceux qui font leur propre perte sont ceux qui ne croient pas

Those to whom We have given the Scripture recognize it as they recognize their [own] sons. Those who will lose themselves [in the Hereafter] do not believe

وَمَنَ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ اِ۪فْتَر۪ىٰ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ كَذِباً اَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ اُ۬لظَّٰلِمُونَۖ ﰕ

Wamana zlamu mimmani ftarê ‘alâ llâhi kadhibana w kadhdhaba bi'âyâtihî innahû lâ yuflihu zzâlimûn

Qui donc est plus injuste que celui qui invente un mensonge contre Allah, ou qui traite de mensonge Ses versets? Les injustes ne réussiront pas

And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie or denies His verses? Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعاٗ ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓاْ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآؤُكُمُ اُ۬لذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَۖ ﰖ

Wayawma nahshuruhum jamî‘an thumma naqûlu lilladhîna ashrakû ayna shurakâ'ukumu lladhîna kuntum taz‘umûn

Et le Jour où Nous les rassemblerons tous puis dirons à ceux qui auront donné des associés: «Où sont donc vos associés que vous prétendiez?»

And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day We will gather them all together; then We will say to those who associated others with Allah, "Where are your 'partners' that you used to claim [with Him]

ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُن فِتْنَتَهُمُۥٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُواْ وَاللَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِينَۖ ﰗ

Thumma lam takun fitnatahumû illâ an qâlû wallâhi rabbinâ mâ kunnâ mushrikîn

Alors il ne leur restera comme excuse que de dire: «Par Allah notre Seigneur! Nous n'étions jamais des associateurs»

Then there will be no [excuse upon] examination except they will say, "By Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated

اَ۟نظُرْ كَيْفَ كَذَبُواْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفْتَرُونَۖ ﰘ

Unzur kayfa kadhabû ‘alâ anfusihim wadalla ‘anhum mâ kânû yaftarûn

Vois comment ils mentent à eux-mêmes! Et comment les abandonnent (les associés) qu'ils inventaient

See how they will lie about themselves. And lost from them will be what they used to invent

وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ يَّسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَۖ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمُۥٓ أَكِنَّةً اَنْ يَّفْقَهُوهُ وَفِےٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْراٗۖ وَإِنْ يَّرَوْاْ كُلَّ ءَايَةٖ لَّا يُومِنُواْ بِهَاۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُوكَ يُجَٰدِلُونَكَ يَقُولُ اُ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ اُ۬لَاوَّلِينَۖ ﰙ

Waminhum may yastami‘u ilayka waja‘alnâ ‘alâ qulûbihimû akinnatana y yafqahûhu wafî âdhânihim waqran wa'iy yaraw kulla âyatil lâ yûminû bihâ hattâ idhâ jâ'ûka yujâdilûnaka yaqûlu lladhîna kafarû in hâdhâ illâ asâtîru lawwalîn

Il en est parmi eux qui viennent t'écouter, cependant que Nous avons entouré de voiles leurs cœurs, qui les empêchent de comprendre (le Coran), et dans leurs oreilles est une lourdeur. Quand même ils verraient toutes sortes de preuves, ils n'y croiraient pas. Et quand ils viennent disputer avec toi, ceux qui ne croient pas disent alors: «Ce ne sont que des légendes des anciens»

And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. Even when they come to you arguing with you, those who disbelieve say, "This is not but legends of the former peoples

۞ وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْـَٔوْنَ عَنْهُۖ وَإِنْ يُّهْلِكُونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَۖ ﰚ

Wahum yanhawna ‘anhu wayan'awna ‘anhu wa'iy yuhlikûna illâ anfusahum wamâ yash‘urûn

Ils empêchent [les gens] de s'approcher de lui et s'en écartent eux-mêmes. Ils ne feront périr qu'eux-mêmes sans s'en rendre compte

And they prevent [others] from him and are [themselves] remote from him. And they do not destroy except themselves, but they perceive [it] not

وَلَوْ تَر۪ىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُواْ عَلَى اَ۬لنّ۪ارِ فَقَالُواْ يَٰلَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّۖ وَلَا نُكَذِّبُ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونُ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُومِنِينَۖ ﰛ

Walaw tarê idh wuqifû ‘alâ nnêri faqâlû yâlaytanâ nuraddu walâ nukadhdhibu bi'âyâti rabbinâ wanakûnu mina lmûminîn

Si tu les voyais, quand ils seront placés devant le Feu. Ils diront alors: «Hélas! Si nous pouvions être renvoyés (sur la terre), nous ne traiterions plus de mensonges les versets de notre Seigneur et nous serions du nombre des croyants»

If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, "Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers

بَلْ بَدَا لَهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يُخْفُونَ مِن قَبْلُۖ وَلَوْ رُدُّواْ لَعَادُواْ لِمَا نُهُواْ عَنْهُۖ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَۖ ﰜ

Bal badâ lahum mâ kânû yukhfûna min qablu walaw ruddû la‘âdû limâ nuhû ‘anhu wa'innahum lakâdhibûn

Mais non! Voilà que leur apparaîtra ce qu'auparavant ils cachaient. Or, s'ils étaient rendus [à la vie terrestre], ils reviendraient sûrement à ce qui leur était interdit. Ce sont vraiment des menteurs

But what they concealed before has [now] appeared to them. And even if they were returned, they would return to that which they were forbidden; and indeed, they are liars

وَقَالُوٓاْ إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا اَ۬لدُّنْي۪ا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَۖ ﰝ

Waqâlû in hiya illâ hayâtunâ ddunyê wamâ nahnu bimab‘ûthîn

Et ils disent: «Il n'y a pour nous [d'autre vie] que celle d'ici-bas; et nous ne serons pas ressuscités»

And they say, "There is none but our worldly life, and we will not be resurrected

وَلَوْ تَر۪ىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُواْ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ هَٰذَا بِالْحَقِّۖ قَالُواْ بَل۪ىٰ وَرَبِّنَاۖ قَالَ فَذُوقُواْ اُ۬لْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَۖ ﰞ

Walaw tarê idh wuqifû ‘alâ rabbihim qâla alaysa hâdhâ bilhaqqi qâlû balê warabbinâ qâla fadhûqû l‘adhâba bimâ kuntum takfurûn

Si tu les voyais, quand ils comparaîtront devant leur Seigneur. Il leur dira: «Cela n'est-il pas la vérité?» Ils diront: «Mais si! Par notre Seigneur!» Et, il dira: «Goûtez alors au châtiment pour n'avoir pas cru»

If you could but see when they will be made to stand before their Lord. He will say, "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will [then] say, "So taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve

قَدْ خَسِرَ اَ۬لذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِلِقَآءِ اِ۬للَّهِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَتْهُمُ اُ۬لسَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةٗ قَالُواْ يَٰحَسْرَتَنَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِيهَا وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُونَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِمُۥٓۖ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُونَۖ ﰟ

Qad khasira lladhîna kadhdhabû biliqâ'i llâhi hattâ idhâ jâ'athumu ssâ‘atu baghtatan qâlû yâhasratanâ ‘alâ mâ farratnâ fîhâ wahum yahmilûna awzârahum ‘alâ zuhûrihimû alâ sâ'a mâ yazirûn

Sont perdants certes ceux qui traitent de mensonge la rencontre d'Allah. Et quand soudain l'Heure leur viendra, ils diront: «Malheur à nous pour notre négligence à son égard, Et ils porteront leurs fardeaux sur leurs dos, et quels mauvais fardeaux

Those will have lost who deny the meeting with Allah, until when the Hour [of resurrection] comes upon them unexpectedly, they will say, "Oh, [how great is] our regret over what we neglected concerning it," while they bear their burdens on their backs. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear

وَمَا اَ۬لْحَيَوٰةُ اُ۬لدُّنْي۪آ إِلَّا لَعِبٞ وَلَهْوٞۖ وَلَلدَّارُ اُ۬لَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٞ لِّلذِينَ يَتَّقُونَۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَۖ ﰠ

Wamâ lhayawâtu ddunyê illâ la‘ibun walahwun walalddâru lakhiratu khayrul lilladhîna yattaqûna afalâ ta‘qilûn

La présente vie n'est que jeu et amusement. La demeure dans l'au-delà sera meilleure pour ceux qui sont pieux. Eh bien, ne comprenez-vous pas

And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah, so will you not reason

قَدْ نَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيُحْزِنُكَ اَ۬لذِے يَقُولُونَۖ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يُكْذِبُونَكَۖ وَلَٰكِنَّ اَ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ اِ۬للَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَۖ ﰡ

Qad na‘lamu innahû layuhzinuka lladhî yaqûlûna fa'innahum lâ yukdhibûnaka walâkinna zzâlimîna bi'âyâti llâhi yajhadûn

Nous savons qu'en vérité ce qu'ils disent te chagrine. Or, vraiment ils ne croient pas que tu es menteur, mais ce sont les versets (le Coran) d'Allah, que les injustes renient

We know that you, [O Muhammad], are saddened by what they say. And indeed, they do not call you untruthful, but it is the verses of Allah that the wrongdoers reject

وَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٞ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَصَبَرُواْ عَلَىٰ مَا كُذِّبُواْ وَأُوذُواْ حَتَّىٰٓ أَت۪يٰهُمْ نَصْرُنَاۖ وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكَ مِن نَّبَإِےْ اِ۬لْمُرْسَلِينَۖ ﰢ

Walaqad kudhdhibat rusulum min qablika fasabarû ‘alâ mâ kudhdhibû wa'ûdhû hattâ atêhum nasrunâ walâ mubaddila likalimâti llâhi walaqad jâ'aka min naba'iy lmursalîn

Certes, des messagers avant toi (Muhammad) ont été traités de menteurs. Ils endurèrent alors avec constance d'être traités de menteurs et d'être persécutés, jusqu'à ce que Notre secours leur vînt. Et nul ne peut changer les paroles d'Allah, et il t'est déjà parvenu une partie de l'histoire des Envoyés

And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over [the effects of] denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them. And none can alter the words of Allah. And there has certainly come to you some information about the [previous] messengers

وَإِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكَ إِعْرَاضُهُمْ فَإِنِ اِ۪سْتَطَعْتَ أَن تَبْتَغِيَ نَفَقاٗ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ أَوْ سُلَّماٗ فِے اِ۬لسَّمَآءِ فَتَاتِيَهُم بِـَٔايَةٖۖ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَى اَ۬لْهُد۪ىٰۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ اَ۬لْجَٰهِلِينَۖ ﰣ

Wa'in kâna kabura ‘alayka i‘râduhum fa'ini stata‘ta an tabtaghiya nafaqan fî lardi aw sullaman fî ssamâ'i fatâtiyahum bi'âyatin walaw shâ'a llâhu lajama‘ahum ‘alâ lhudê falâ takûnanna mina ljâhilîn

Et si leur indifférence t'afflige énormément, et qu'il est dans ton pouvoir de chercher un tunnel à travers la terre, ou une échelle pour aller au ciel pour leur apporter un miracle, [fais-le donc]. Et si Allah voulait, Il pourrait les mettre tous sur le chemin droit. Ne sois pas du nombre des ignorants

And if their evasion is difficult for you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel into the earth or a stairway into the sky to bring them a sign, [then do so]. But if Allah had willed, He would have united them upon guidance. So never be of the ignorant

۞ إِنَّمَا يَسْتَجِيبُ اُ۬لذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَۖ وَالْمَوْت۪ىٰ يَبْعَثُهُمُ اُ۬للَّهُۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَۖ ﰤ

Innamâ yastajîbu lladhîna yasma‘ûna walmawtê yab‘athuhumu llâhu thumma ilayhi yurja‘ûn

Seuls ceux qui entendent répondent à l'appel [de la foi]. Et quant aux morts, Allah les ressuscitera; puis ils Lui seront ramenés

Only those who hear will respond. But the dead - Allah will resurrect them; then to Him they will be returned

وَقَالُواْ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۖ قُلِ اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَنْ يُّنَزِّلَ ءَايَةٗۖ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَۖ ﰥ

Waqâlû lawlâ nuzzila ‘alayhi âyatum mir rabbihî quli nna llâha qâdirun ‘alâ ay yunazzila âyatan walâkinna aktharahum lâ ya‘lamûn

Et ils disent: «Pourquoi n'a-t-on pas fait descendre sur lui (Muhammad) un miracle de la part de son Seigneur?» Dis: «Certes Allah est capable de faire descendre un miracle. Mais la plupart d'entre eux ne savent pas»

And they say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "Indeed, Allah is Able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know

وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٖ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ وَلَا طَٰٓئِرٖ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلَّآ أُمَمٌ اَمْثَالُكُمۖ مَّا فَرَّطْنَا فِے اِ۬لْكِتَٰبِ مِن شَےْءٖۖ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَۖ ﰦ

Wamâ min dâbbatin fî lardi walâ tâ'irin yatîru bijanâhayhi illâ umamuna mthâlukum mâ farratnâ fî lkitâbi min shay'in thumma ilâ rabbihim yuhsharûn

Nulle bête marchant sur terre, nul oiseau volant de ses ailes, qui ne soit comme vous en communauté. Nous n'avons rien omis d'écrire dans le Livre. Puis, c'est vers leur Seigneur qu'ils seront ramenés

And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not neglected in the Register a thing. Then unto their Lord they will be gathered

وَالذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا صُمّٞ وَبُكْمٞ فِے اِ۬لظُّلُمَٰتِۖ مَنْ يَّشَإِ اِ۬للَّهُ يُضْلِلْهُۖ وَمَنْ يَّشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسْتَقِيمٖۖ ﰧ

Walladhîna kadhdhabû bi'âyâtinâ summun wabukmun fî zzulumâti may yasha'i llâhu yudlilhu wamay yasha' yaj‘alhu ‘alâ sirâtim mustaqîm

Et ceux qui traitent de mensonges Nos versets sont sourds et muets, dans les ténèbres. Allah égare qui Il veut; et Il place qui Il veut sur un chemin droit

But those who deny Our verses are deaf and dumb within darknesses. Whomever Allah wills - He leaves astray; and whomever He wills - He puts him on a straight path

قُلَ اَرَٰٓيْتَكُمُۥٓ إِنَ اَت۪يٰكُمْ عَذَابُ اُ۬للَّهِ أَوَ اَتَتْكُمُ اُ۬لسَّاعَةُ أَغَيْرَ اَ۬للَّهِ تَدْعُونَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَۖ ﰨ

Qula râytakumû ina têkum ‘adhâbu llâhi awa tatkumu ssâ‘atu aghayra llâhi tad‘ûna in kuntum sâdiqîn

Dis: «Informez-moi: si le châtiment d'Allah vous vient, ou que vous vient l'Heure, ferez-vous appel à autre qu'Allah, si vous êtes véridiques?»

Say, "Have you considered: if there came to you the punishment of Allah or there came to you the Hour - is it other than Allah you would invoke, if you should be truthful

بَلِ اِيَّاهُ تَدْعُونَ فَيَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْعُونَ إِلَيْهِ إِن شَآءَ وَتَنسَوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُونَۖ ﰩ

Bali yyâhu tad‘ûna fayakshifu mâ tad‘ûna ilayhi in shâ'a watansawna mâ tushrikûn

C'est plutôt à Lui que vous ferez appel. Puis, Il dissipera, s'Il veut, l'objet de votre appel et vous oublierez ce que vous [Lui] associez

No, it is Him [alone] you would invoke, and He would remove that for which you invoked Him if He willed, and you would forget what you associate [with Him]

وَلَقَدَ اَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٖ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم بِالْبَأْسَآءِ وَالضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَۖ ﰪ

Walaqada rsalnâ ilâ umamim min qablika fa'akhadhnâhum bilba'sâ'i waddarrâ'i la‘allahum yatadarra‘ûn

Nous avons, certes, envoyé (des messagers) aux communautés avant toi. Ensuite Nous les avons saisies par l'adversité et la détresse - peut-être imploreront-ils (la miséricorde)

And We have already sent [messengers] to nations before you, [O Muhammad]; then We seized them with poverty and hardship that perhaps they might humble themselves [to Us]

فَلَوْلَآ إِذْ جَآءَهُم بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُواْۖ وَلَٰكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ اُ۬لشَّيْطَٰنُ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَۖ ﰫ

Falawlâ idh jâ'ahum ba'sunâ tadarra‘û walâkin qasat qulûbuhum wazayyana lahumu shshaytânu mâ kânû ya‘malûn

Pourquoi donc, lorsque Notre rigueur leur vînt, n'ont-ils pas imploré (la miséricorde)? Mais leurs cœurs s'étaient endurcis et le Diable enjolivait à leurs yeux ce qu'ils faisaient

Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing

فَلَمَّا نَسُواْ مَا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِۦ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمُۥٓ أَبْوَٰبَ كُلِّ شَےْءٍۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَرِحُواْ بِمَآ أُوتُوٓاْ أَخَذْنَٰهُم بَغْتَةٗ فَإِذَا هُم مُّبْلِسُونَۖ ﰬ

Falammâ nasû mâ dhukkirû bihî fatahnâ ‘alayhimû abwâba kulli shay'in hattâ idhâ farihû bimâ ûtû akhadhnâhum baghtatan fa'idhâ hum mublisûn

Puis, lorsqu'ils eurent oublié ce qu'on leur avait rappelé, Nous leur ouvrîmes les portes donnant sur toute chose (l'abondance); et lorsqu'ils eurent exulté de joie en raison de ce qui leur avait été donné, Nous les saisîmes soudain, et les voilà désespérés

So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair

فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ اُ۬لْقَوْمِ اِ۬لذِينَ ظَلَمُواْۖ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ اِ۬لْعَٰلَمِينَۖ ﰭ

Faquti‘a dâbiru lqawmi lladhîna zalamû walhamdu lillâhi rabbi l‘âlamîn

Ainsi fut exterminé le dernier reste de ces injustes. Et louange à Allah, Seigneur de l'Univers

So the people that committed wrong were eliminated. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds

قُلَ اَرَٰٓيْتُمُۥٓ إِنَ اَخَذَ اَ۬للَّهُ سَمْعَكُمْ وَأَبْصَٰرَكُمْ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُم مَّنِ اِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اُ۬للَّهِ يَاتِيكُم بِهِۖ اِ۟نظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ اُ۬لَايَٰتِ ثُمَّ هُمْ يَصْدِفُونَۖ ﰮ

Qula râytumû ina khadha llâhu sam‘akum wa'absârakum wakhatama ‘alâ qulûbikum mani lâhun ghayru llâhi yâtîkum bihi nzur kayfa nusarrifu layâti thumma hum yasdifûn

Dis: «Voyez-vous? Si Allah prenait votre ouïe et votre vue, et scellait vos cœurs, quelle divinité autre qu'Allah vous les rendrait? Regarde comment, à leur intention, Nous clarifions les preuves! Pourtant ils s'en détournent

Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should take away your hearing and your sight and set a seal upon your hearts, which deity other than Allah could bring them [back] to you?" Look how we diversify the verses; then they [still] turn away

قُلَ اَرَٰٓيْتَكُمُۥٓ إِنَ اَت۪يٰكُمْ عَذَابُ اُ۬للَّهِ بَغْتَةً اَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا اَ۬لْقَوْمُ اُ۬لظَّٰلِمُونَۖ ﰯ

Qula râytakumû ina têkum ‘adhâbu llâhi baghtatana w jahratan hal yuhlaku illâ lqawmu zzâlimûn

Dis: «Que vous en semble? Si le châtiment d'Allah vous venait à l'improviste ou au grand jour, qui seront détruits sinon les gens injustes?»

Say, "Have you considered: if the punishment of Allah should come to you unexpectedly or manifestly, will any be destroyed but the wrongdoing people

۞ وَمَا نُرْسِلُ اُ۬لْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَۖ فَمَنَ اٰمَنَ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَۖ ﰰ

Wamâ nursilu lmursalîna illâ mubashshirîna wamundhirîna famana âmana wa'aslaha falâ khawfun ‘alayhim walâ hum yahzanûn

Nous n'envoyons des messagers qu'en annonciateurs et avertisseurs: ceux qui croient donc et se réforment, nulle crainte sur eux et ils ne seront point affligés

And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners. So whoever believes and reforms - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve

وَالذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ اُ۬لْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْسُقُونَۖ ﰱ

Walladhîna kadhdhabû bi'âyâtinâ yamassuhumu l‘adhâbu bimâ kânû yafsuqûn

Et ceux qui traitent de mensonges Nos preuves, le châtiment les touchera, à cause de leur perversité

But those who deny Our verses - the punishment will touch them for their defiant disobedience

قُل لَّآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِے خَزَآئِنُ اُ۬للَّهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ اُ۬لْغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمُۥٓ إِنِّے مَلَكٌۖ اِنَ اَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوح۪ىٰٓ إِلَيَّۖ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِے اِ۬لَاعْم۪ىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُۖ أَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُونَۖ ﰲ

Qul lâ aqûlu lakum ‘indî khazâ'inu llâhi walâ a‘lamu lghayba walâ aqûlu lakumû innî malakuni na ttabi‘u illâ mâ yûhê ilayya qul hal yastawî la‘mê walbasîru afalâ tatafakkarûn

Dis-[leur]: «Je ne vous dis pas que je détiens les trésors d'Allah, ni que je connais l'Inconnaissable, et je ne vous dis pas que je suis un ange. Je ne fais que suivre ce qui m'est révélé.» Dis: «Est-ce que sont égaux l'aveugle et celui qui voit? Ne réfléchissez-vous donc pas?»

Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought

وَأَنذِرْ بِهِ اِ۬لذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْ يُّحْشَرُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ لَيْسَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ وَلِيّٞ وَلَا شَفِيعٞ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَۖ ﰳ

Wa'andhir bihi lladhîna yakhâfûna ay yuhsharû ilâ rabbihim laysa lahum min dûnihî waliyyun walâ shafî‘ul la‘allahum yattaqûn

Et avertis par ceci (le Coran), ceux qui craignent d'être rassemblés devant leur Seigneur, qu'ils n'auront hors d'Allah ni allié ni intercesseur. Peut-être deviendraient-ils pieux

And warn by the Qur'an those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord - for them besides Him will be no protector and no intercessor - that they might become righteous

وَلَا تَطْرُدِ اِ۬لذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَدَوٰةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُۥ مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَےْءٖ وَمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن شَےْءٖ فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ اَ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَۖ ﰴ

Walâ tatrudi lladhîna yad‘ûna rabbahum bilghadawâti wal‘ashiyyi yurîdûna wajhahû mâ ‘alayka min hisâbihim min shay'in wamâ min hisâbika ‘alayhim min shay'in fatatrudahum fatakûna mina zzâlimîn

Et ne repousse pas ceux qui, matin et soir, implorent leur Seigneur, cherchant sa Face «Wajh». Leur demander compte ne t'incombe en rien, et te demander compte ne leur incombe en rien. En les repoussant donc, tu serais du nombre des injustes

And do not send away those who call upon their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His countenance. Not upon you is anything of their account and not upon them is anything of your account. So were you to send them away, you would [then] be of the wrongdoers

وَكَذَٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٖ لِّيَقُولُوٓاْ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَنَّ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنۢ بَيْنِنَآۖ أَلَيْسَ اَ۬للَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِالشَّٰكِرِينَۖ ﰵ

Wakadhâlika fatannâ ba‘dahum biba‘dil liyaqûlû ahâ'ulâ'i manna llâhu ‘alayhim mim bayninâ alaysa llâhu bi'a‘lama bishshâkirîn

Ainsi, éprouvons-Nous (les gens) les uns par les autres, pour qu'ils disent: «Est-ce là ceux qu'Allah a favorisés parmi nous?» N'est-ce pas Allah qui sait le mieux lesquels sont reconnaissants

And thus We have tried some of them through others that the disbelievers might say, "Is it these whom Allah has favored among us?" Is not Allah most knowing of those who are grateful

وَإِذَا جَآءَكَ اَ۬لذِينَ يُومِنُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْۖ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ اِ۬لرَّحْمَةَ أَنَّهُۥ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنكُمْ سُوٓءاَۢ بِجَهَٰلَةٖ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ وَأَصْلَحَ فَإِنَّهُۥ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞۖ ﰶ

Wa'idhâ jâ'aka lladhîna yûminûna bi'âyâtinâ faqul salâmun ‘alaykum kataba rabbukum ‘alâ nafsihi rrahmata annahû man ‘amila minkum sû'am bijahâlatin thumma tâba mim ba‘dihî wa'aslaha fa'innahû ghafûrur rahîm

Et lorsque viennent vers toi ceux qui croient à nos versets (le Coran), dis: «Que la paix soit sur vous! Votre Seigneur S'est prescrit à Lui-même la miséricorde. Et quiconque d'entre vous a fait un mal par ignorance, et ensuite s'est repenti et s'est réformé... Il est, alors, Pardonneur et Miséricordieux»

And when those come to you who believe in Our verses, say, "Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy: that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself - indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ اُ۬لَايَٰتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلَ اَ۬لْمُجْرِمِينَۖ ﰷ

Wakadhâlika nufassilu layâti walitastabîna sabîla lmujrimîn

C'est ainsi que Nous détaillons les versets, afin qu'apparaisse clairement le chemin des criminels

And thus do We detail the verses, and [thus] the way of the criminals will become evident

قُلِ اِنِّے نُهِيتُ أَنَ اَعْبُدَ اَ۬لذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ قُل لَّآ أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَآءَكُمْۖ قَد ضَّلَلْتُ إِذاٗ وَمَآ أَنَا مِنَ اَ۬لْمُهْتَدِينَۖ ﰸ

Quli nnî nuhîtu ana ‘buda lladhîna tad‘ûna min dûni llâhi qul lâ attabi‘u ahwâ'akum qad dalaltu idhan wamâ anâ mina lmuhtadîn

Dis: «il m'a été interdit d'adorer ceux que vous priez en dehors d'Allah». Dis: «Je ne suivrai pas vos passions: car ce serait m'égarer, et je ne serais plus parmi les bien-guidés»

Say, "Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you invoke besides Allah." Say, "I will not follow your desires, for I would then have gone astray, and I would not be of the [rightly] guided

قُلِ اِنِّے عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّے وَكَذَّبْتُم بِهِۦۖ مَا عِندِے مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦٓۖ إِنِ اِ۬لْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلهِۖ يَقُصُّ اُ۬لْحَقَّۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ اُ۬لْفَٰصِلِينَۖ ﰹ

Quli nnî ‘alâ bayyinatim mir rabbî wakadhdhabtum bihî mâ ‘indî mâ tasta‘jilûna bihî ini lhukmu illâ lillâhi yaqussu lhaqqa wahuwa khayru lfâsilîn

Dis: «Je m'appuie sur une preuve évidente de la part de mon Seigneur, et vous avez traité cela de mensonge. Ce (le châtiment) que vous voulez hâter ne dépend pas de moi. Le jugement n'appartient qu'à Allah: Il tranche en toute vérité et Il est le meilleur des juges

Say, "Indeed, I am on clear evidence from my Lord, and you have denied it. I do not have that for which you are impatient. The decision is only for Allah. He relates the truth, and He is the best of deciders

قُل لَّوَ اَنَّ عِندِے مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦ لَقُضِيَ اَ۬لَامْرُ بَيْنِے وَبَيْنَكُمْۖ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِالظَّٰلِمِينَۖ ﰺ

Qul lawa nna ‘indî mâ tasta‘jilûna bihî laqudiya lamru baynî wabaynakum wallâhu a‘lamu bizzâlimîn

Dis: «Si ce que vous voulez hâter dépendait de moi, ce serait affaire faite entre vous et moi.» C'est Allah qui connaît le mieux les injustes

Say, "If I had that for which you are impatient, the matter would have been decided between me and you, but Allah is most knowing of the wrongdoers

۞ وَعِندَهُۥ مَفَاتِحُ اُ۬لْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَآ إِلَّا هُوَۖ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِے اِ۬لْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِۖ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَّرَقَةٍ اِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٖ فِے ظُلُمَٰتِ اِ۬لَارْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٖ وَلَا يَابِسٍ اِلَّا فِے كِتَٰبٖ مُّبِينٖۖ ﰻ

Wa‘indahû mafâtihu lghaybi lâ ya‘lamuhâ illâ huwa waya‘lamu mâ fî lbarri walbahri wamâ tasqutu miw waraqatini llâ ya‘lamuhâ walâ habbatin fî zulumâti lardi walâ ratbin walâ yâbisini llâ fî kitâbim mubîn

C'est Lui qui détient les clefs de l'Inconnaissable. Nul autre que Lui ne les connaît. Et Il connaît ce qui est dans la terre ferme, comme dans la mer. Et pas une feuille ne tombe qu'Il ne le sache. Et pas une graine dans les ténèbres de la terre, rien de frais ou de sec, qui ne soit consigné dans un livre explicite

And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record

وَهُوَ اَ۬لذِے يَتَوَفّ۪يٰكُم بِاليْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِالنَّه۪ارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْض۪ىٰٓ أَجَلٞ مُّسَمّىٗۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَۖ ﰼ

Wahuwa lladhî yatawaffêkum billayli waya‘lamu mâ jarahtum binnahêri thumma yab‘athukum fîhi liyuqdê ajalum musamman thumma ilayhi marji‘ukum thumma yunabbî'ukum bimâ kuntum ta‘malûn

Et, la nuit, c'est Lui qui prend vos âmes, et Il sait ce que vous avez acquis pendant le jour. Puis Il vous ressuscite le jour afin que s'accomplisse le terme fixé. Ensuite, c'est vers Lui que sera votre retour, et Il vous informera de ce que vous faisiez

And it is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have committed by day. Then He revives you therein that a specified term may be fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do

وَهُوَ اَ۬لْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦۖ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةًۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ احَدَكُمُ اُ۬لْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا يُفَرِّطُونَۖ ﰽ

Wahuwa lqâhiru fawqa ‘ibâdihî wayursilu ‘alaykum hafazatan hattâ idhâ jâ'a âhadakumu lmawtu tawaffathu rusulunâ wahum lâ yufarritûn

Et Il est le Dominateur Suprême sur Ses serviteurs. Et Il envoie sur vous des gardiens. Et lorsque la mort atteint l'un de vous, Nos messagers (les Anges) enlèvent son âme sans aucune négligence

And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail [in their duties]

ثُمَّ رُدُّوٓاْ إِلَى اَ۬للَّهِ مَوْل۪يٰهُمُ اُ۬لْحَقِّۖ أَلَا لَهُ اُ۬لْحُكْمُۖ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ اُ۬لْحَٰسِبِينَۖ ﰾ

Thumma ruddû ilâ llâhi mawlêhumu lhaqqi alâ lahu lhukmu wahuwa asra‘u lhâsibîn

Ils sont ensuite ramenés vers Allah, leur vrai Maître. C'est à Lui qu'appartient le jugement et Il est le plus prompt des juges

Then they His servants are returned to Allah, their true Lord. Unquestionably, His is the judgement, and He is the swiftest of accountants

قُلْ مَنْ يُّنَجِّيكُم مِّن ظُلُمَٰتِ اِ۬لْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ تَدْعُونَهُۥ تَضَرُّعاٗ وَخُفْيَةٗ لَّئِنَ اَنجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ اَ۬لشَّٰكِرِينَۖ ﰿ

Qul may yunajjîkum min zulumâti lbarri walbahri tad‘ûnahû tadarru‘an wakhufyatal la'ina njaytanâ min hâdhihî lanakûnanna mina shshâkirîn

Dis: «Qui vous délivre des ténèbres de la terre et de la mer?» Vous l'invoquez humblement et en secret: «S'Il nous délivre de ceci, nous serons du nombre des reconnaissants

Say, "Who rescues you from the darknesses of the land and sea [when] you call upon Him imploring [aloud] and privately, 'If He should save us from this [crisis], we will surely be among the thankful

قُلِ اِ۬للَّهُ يُنجِيكُم مِّنْهَا وَمِن كُلِّ كَرْبٖ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَۖ ﱀ

Quli llâhu yunjîkum minhâ wamin kulli karbin thumma antum tushrikûn

Dis: «C'est Allah qui vous en délivre ainsi que de toute angoisse. Pourtant, vous Lui donnez des associés»

Say, "It is Allah who saves you from it and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him

قُلْ هُوَ اَ۬لْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰٓ أَنْ يَّبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَاباٗ مِّن فَوْقِكُمُۥٓ أَوْ مِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمُۥٓ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعاٗ وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُم بَأْسَ بَعْضٍۖ اُ۟نظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ اُ۬لَايَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَۖ ﱁ

Qul huwa lqâdiru ‘alâ ay yab‘atha ‘alaykum ‘adhâbam min fawqikumû aw min tahti arjulikumû aw yalbisakum shiya‘an wayudhîqa ba‘dakum ba'sa ba‘dini nzur kayfa nusarrifu layâti la‘allahum yafqahûn

Dis: «Il est capable, Lui, de susciter contre vous, d'en haut, ou de dessous vos pieds, un châtiment, ou de vous confondre dans le sectarisme. Et Il vous fait goûter l'ardeur [au combat] les uns aux autres.» Regarde comment Nous exposons Nos versets. Peut-être comprendront-ils

Say, "He is the [one] Able to send upon you affliction from above you or from beneath your feet or to confuse you [so you become] sects and make you taste the violence of one another." Look how We diversify the signs that they might understand

وَكَذَّبَ بِهِۦ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ اَ۬لْحَقُّۖ قُل لَّسْتُ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٖۖ لِّكُلِّ نَبَإٖ مُّسْتَقَرّٞۖ وَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَۖ ﱂ

Wakadhdhaba bihî qawmuka wahuwa lhaqqu qul lastu ‘alaykum biwakîlil likulli naba'im mustaqarrun wasawfa ta‘lamûn

Et ton peuple traite cela (le Coran) de mensonge, alors que c'est la vérité. Dis: «Je ne suis pas votre garant Chaque annonce arrive en son temps et en son lieu. Et bientôt vous le saurez.»

But your people have denied it while it is the truth. Say, "I am not over you a manager For every happening is a finality; and you are going to know

وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ اَ۬لذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِےٓ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُواْ فِے حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِۦۖ وَإِمَّا يُنسِيَنَّكَ اَ۬لشَّيْطَٰنُ فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ اَ۬لذِّكْر۪ىٰ مَعَ اَ۬لْقَوْمِ اِ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَۖ ﱃ

Wa'idhâ ra'ayta lladhîna yakhûdûna fî âyâtinâ fa'a‘rid ‘anhum hattâ yakhûdû fî hadîthin ghayrihî wa'immâ yunsiyannaka shshaytânu falâ taq‘ud ba‘da dhdhikrê ma‘a lqawmi zzâlimîn

Quand tu vois ceux qui pataugent dans des discussions à propos de Nos versets, éloigne-toi d'eux jusqu'à ce qu'ils entament une autre discussion. Et si le Diable te fait oublier, alors, dès que tu te rappelles, ne reste pas avec les injustes

And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people

وَمَا عَلَى اَ۬لذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَےْءٖۖ وَلَٰكِن ذِكْر۪ىٰ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَۖ ﱄ

Wamâ ‘alâ lladhîna yattaqûna min hisâbihim min shay'in walâkin dhikrê la‘allahum yattaqûn

Il n'incombe nullement à ceux qui sont pieux de rendre compte pour ces gens là. Mais c'est à titre de rappel. Peut-être craindront-ils [Allah]

And those who fear Allah are not held accountable for the disbelievers at all, but [only for] a reminder - that perhaps they will fear Him

۞ وَذَرِ اِ۬لذِينَ اَ۪تَّخَذُواْ دِينَهُمْ لَعِباٗ وَلَهْواٗ وَغَرَّتْهُمُ اُ۬لْحَيَوٰةُ اُ۬لدُّنْي۪اۖ وَذَكِّرْ بِهِۦٓ أَن تُبْسَلَ نَفْسُۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ وَلِيّٞ وَلَا شَفِيعٞۖ وَإِن تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٖ لَّا يُوخَذْ مِنْهَآۖ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ اَ۬لذِينَ أُبْسِلُواْ بِمَا كَسَبُواْ لَهُمْ شَرَابٞ مِّنْ حَمِيمٖ وَعَذَابٌ اَلِيمُۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْفُرُونَۖ ﱅ

Wadhari lladhîna ttakhadhû dînahum la‘iban walahwan wagharrathumu lhayawâtu ddunyê wadhakkir bihî an tubsala nafsum bimâ kasabat laysa lahâ min dûni llâhi waliyyun walâ shafî‘un wa'in ta‘dil kulla ‘adlil lâ yûkhadh minhâ ulâ'ika lladhîna ubsilû bimâ kasabû lahum sharâbum min hamîmin wa‘adhâbuna lîmum bimâ kânû yakfurûn

Laisse ceux qui prennent leur religion pour jeu et amusement, et qui sont séduits par la vie sur terre. Et rappelle par ceci (le Coran) pour qu'une âme ne s'expose pas à sa perte selon ce qu'elle aura acquis, elle n'aura en dehors d'Allah, ni allié ni intercesseur. Et quelle que soit la compensation qu'elle offrirait, elle ne sera pas acceptée d'elle. Ceux-là se sont abandonnés à leur perdition à cause de ce qu'ils ont acquis. Leur breuvage sera l'eau bouillante et ils auront un châtiment douloureux, pour avoir mécru

And leave those who take their religion as amusement and diversion and whom the worldly life has deluded. But remind with the Qur'an, lest a soul be given up to destruction for what it earned; it will have other than Allah no protector and no intercessor. And if it should offer every compensation, it would not be taken from it. Those are the ones who are given to destruction for what they have earned. For them will be a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment because they used to disbelieve

قُلَ اَنَدْعُواْ مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُنَا وَلَا يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَد۪يٰنَا اَ۬للَّهُ كَالذِے اِ۪سْتَهْوَتْهُ اُ۬لشَّيَٰطِينُ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ حَيْرَانَۖ لَهُۥٓ أَصْحَٰبٞ يَدْعُونَهُۥٓ إِلَى اَ۬لْهُدَى اَ۪يتِنَاۖ قُلِ اِنَّ هُدَى اَ۬للَّهِ هُوَ اَ۬لْهُد۪ىٰ وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ اِ۬لْعَٰلَمِينَ ﱆ

Qula nad‘û min dûni llâhi mâ lâ yanfa‘unâ walâ yadurrunâ wanuraddu ‘alâ a‘qâbinâ ba‘da idh hadênâ llâhu kalladhî stahwathu shshayâtînu fî lardi hayrâna lahû ashâbun yad‘ûnahû ilâ lhudâ ytinâ quli nna hudâ llâhi huwa lhudê wa'umirnâ linuslima lirabbi l‘âlamîn

Dis: «Invoquerons-nous, au lieu d'Allah, ce qui ne peut nous profiter ni nous nuire? Et reviendrons-nous sur nos talons après qu'Allah nous a guidés, comme quelqu'un que les diables ont séduit et qui erre perplexe sur la terre, bien que des amis l'appellent vers le droit chemin (lui disant): - «Viens à nous». Dis: «Le vrai chemin, c'est le chemin d'Allah. Et il nous a été commandé de nous soumettre au Seigneur de l'Univers

Say, "Shall we invoke instead of Allah that which neither benefits us nor harms us and be turned back on our heels after Allah has guided us? [We would then be] like one whom the devils enticed [to wander] upon the earth confused, [while] he has companions inviting him to guidance, [calling], 'Come to us.' " Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance; and we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds

وَأَنَ اَقِيمُواْ اُ۬لصَّلَوٰةَ وَاتَّقُوهُۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لذِےٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَۖ ﱇ

Wa'ana qîmû ssalawâta wattaqûhu wahuwa lladhî ilayhi tuhsharûn

Et d'accomplir la Salât et de Le craindre. C'est vers Lui que vous serez rassemblés»

And to establish prayer and fear Him." And it is He to whom you will be gathered

وَهُوَ اَ۬لذِے خَلَقَ اَ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضَ بِالْحَقِّۖ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُنۖ فَيَكُونُۖ ﱈ

Wahuwa lladhî khalaqa ssamâwâti walarda bilhaqqi wayawma yaqûlu kun fayakûn

Et c'est Lui qui a créé les cieux et la terre, en toute vérité. Et le jour où Il dit: «Sois!» Cela est, Sa parole est la vérité. A Lui, [seul,] la royauté, le jour où l'on soufflera dans la Trompe. C'est Lui le Connaisseur de ce qui est voilé et de ce qui est manifeste. Et c'est Lui le Sage et le Parfaitement Connaisseur

And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted

قَوْلُهُ اُ۬لْحَقُّۖ وَلَهُ اُ۬لْمُلْكُۖ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِے اِ۬لصُّورِۖ عَٰلِمُ اُ۬لْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَٰدَةِۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لْحَكِيمُ اُ۬لْخَبِيرُۖ ﱉ

Qawluhu lhaqqu walahu lmulku yawma yunfakhu fî ssûri ‘âlimu lghaybi washshahâdati wahuwa lhakîmu lkhabîr

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ ءَازَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَاماً اٰلِهَةًۖ اِنِّيَ أَر۪يٰكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِے ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٖۖ ﱊ

Wa'idh qâla ibrâhîmu li'abîhi âzara atattakhidhu asnâman âlihatani nniya arêka waqawmaka fî dalâlim mubîn

(Rappelle le moment) où Abraham dit à `Azar, son père: «Prends-tu des idoles comme divinités? Je te vois, toi et ton peuple, dans un égarement évident!»

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said to his father Azar, "Do you take idols as deities? Indeed, I see you and your people to be in manifest error

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُرِےٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ اَ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُوقِنِينَۖ ﱋ

Wakadhâlika nurî ibrâhîma malakûta ssamâwâti walardi waliyakûna mina lmûqinîn

Ainsi avons-Nous montré à Abraham le royaume des cieux et de la terre, afin qu'il fût de ceux qui croient avec conviction

And thus did We show Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain [in faith]

فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ اِ۬ليْلُ ر۪ء۪ا كَوْكَباٗ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّےۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ اُ۬لَافِلِينَۖ ﱌ

Falammâ janna ‘alayhi llaylu re'ê kawkaban qâla hâdhâ rabbî falammâ afala qâla lâ uhibbu lafilîn

Quand la nuit l'enveloppa, il observa une étoile, et dit: «Voilà mon Seigneur!» Puis, lorsqu'elle disparut, il dit: «Je n'aime pas les choses qui disparaissent»

So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "I like not those that disappear

فَلَمَّا رَءَا اَ۬لْقَمَرَ بَازِغاٗ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّےۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِن لَّمْ يَهْدِنِے رَبِّے لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ اَ۬لْقَوْمِ اِ۬لضَّآلِّينَۖ ﱍ

Falammâ ra'â lqamara bâzighan qâla hâdhâ rabbî falammâ afala qâla la'il lam yahdinî rabbî la'akûnanna mina lqawmi ddâllîn

Lorsqu'ensuite il observa la lune se levant, il dit: «Voilà mon Seigneur!» Puis, lorsqu'elle disparut, il dit: «Si mon Seigneur ne me guide pas, je serai certes du nombre des gens égarés»

And when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray

فَلَمَّا رَءَا اَ۬لشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةٗ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّے هَٰذَآ أَكْبَرُۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّے بَرِےٓءٞ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَۖ ﱎ

Falammâ ra'â shshamsa bâzighatan qâla hâdhâ rabbî hâdhâ akbaru falammâ afalat qâla yâqawmi innî barî'um mimmâ tushrikûn

Lorsqu'ensuite il observa le soleil levant, il dit: «Voilà mon Seigneur! Celui-ci est plus grand» Puis lorsque le soleil disparut, il dit: «O mon peuple, je désavoue tout ce que vous associez à Allah

And when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my lord; this is greater." But when it set, he said, "O my people, indeed I am free from what you associate with Allah

إِنِّے وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلذِے فَطَرَ اَ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضَ حَنِيفاٗۖ وَمَآ أَنَا مِنَ اَ۬لْمُشْرِكِينَۖ ﱏ

Innî wajjahtu wajhiya lilladhî fatara ssamâwâti walarda hanîfan wamâ anâ mina lmushrikîn

Je tourne mon visage exclusivement vers Celui qui a créé (à partir du néant) les cieux et la terre; et je ne suis point de ceux qui Lui donnent des associés.»

Indeed, I have turned my face toward He who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allah

۞ وَحَآجَّهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥۖ قَالَ أَتُحَٰٓجُّونِے فِے اِ۬للَّهِ وَقَدْ هَد۪يٰنِۖ وَلَآ أَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَنْ يَّشَآءَ رَبِّے شَئْاٗۖ وَسِعَ رَبِّے كُلَّ شَےْءٍ عِلْماًۖ اَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَۖ ﱐ

Wahâjjahû qawmuhû qâla atuhâjjûnî fî llâhi waqad hadêni walâ akhâfu mâ tushrikûna bihî illâ ay yashâ'a rabbî shay'an wasi‘a rabbî kulla shay'in ‘ilmana falâ tatadhakkarûn

Son peuple disputa avec lui; mais il dit: «Allez-vous disputer avec moi au sujet d'Allah, alors qu'Il m'a guidé? Je n'ai pas peur des associés que vous Lui donnez. Je ne crains que ce que veut mon Seigneur. Mon Seigneur embrasse tout dans Sa science. Ne vous rappelez-vous donc pas

And his people argued with him. He said, "Do you argue with me concerning Allah while He has guided me? And I fear not what you associate with Him [and will not be harmed] unless my Lord should will something. My Lord encompasses all things in knowledge; then will you not remember

وَكَيْفَ أَخَافُ مَآ أَشْرَكْتُمْۖ وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمُۥٓ أَشْرَكْتُم بِاللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَٰناٗۖ فَأَيُّ اُ۬لْفَرِيقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِالَامْنِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَۖ ﱑ

Wakayfa akhâfu mâ ashraktum walâ takhâfûna annakumû ashraktum billâhi mâ lam yunazzil bihî ‘alaykum sultânan fa'ayyu lfarîqayni ahaqqu bilamni in kuntum ta‘lamûn

Et comment aurais-je peur des associés que vous Lui donnez, alors que vous n'avez pas eu peur d'associer à Allah des choses pour lesquelles Il ne vous a fait descendre aucune preuve? Lequel donc des deux partis a le plus droit à la sécurité? (Dites-le) si vous savez

And how should I fear what you associate while you do not fear that you have associated with Allah that for which He has not sent down to you any authority? So which of the two parties has more right to security, if you should know

اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوٓاْ إِيمَٰنَهُم بِظُلْمٍ ا۟وْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ اُ۬لَامْنُ وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَۖ ﱒ

Alladhîna âmanû walam yalbisû îmânahum bizulmin ulâ'ika lahumu lamnu wahum muhtadûn

Ceux qui ont cru et n'ont point troublé la pureté de leur foi par quelqu'inéquité (association), ceux-là ont la sécurité; et ce sont eux les bien-guidés»

They who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided

وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦۖ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَٰتِ مَن نَّشَآءُۖ اِ۪نَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٞۖ ﱓ

Watilka hujjatunâ âtaynâhâ ibrâhîma ‘alâ qawmihî narfa‘u darajâti man nashâ'u nna rabbaka hakîmun ‘alîm

Tel est l'argument que Nous inspirâmes à Abraham contre son peuple. Nous élevons en haut rang qui Nous voulons. Ton Seigneur est Sage et Omniscient

And that was Our [conclusive] argument which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَۖ كُلّاً هَدَيْنَاۖ وَنُوحاً هَدَيْنَا مِن قَبْلُۖ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِۦ دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوس۪ىٰ وَهَٰرُونَۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِے اِ۬لْمُحْسِنِينَۖ ﱔ

Wawahabnâ lahû ishâqa waya‘qûba kullan hadaynâ wanûhan hadaynâ min qablu wamin dhurriyyatihî dâwûda wasulaymâna wa'ayyûba wayûsufa wamûsê wahârûna wakadhâlika najzî lmuhsinîn

Et Nous lui avons donné Isaac et Jacob et Nous les avons guidés tous les deux. Et Noé, Nous l'avons guidé auparavant, et parmi la descendance (d'Abraham) (ou de Noé), David, Salomon, Job, Joseph, Moïse et Aaron. Et c'est ainsi que Nous récompensons les bienfaisants

And We gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - all [of them] We guided. And Noah, We guided before; and among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the doers of good

وَزَكَرِيَّآءَ وَيَحْي۪ىٰ وَعِيس۪ىٰ وَإِلْيَاسَۖ كُلّٞ مِّنَ اَ۬لصَّٰلِحِينَۖ ﱕ

Wazakariyyâ'a wayahyê wa‘îsê wa'ilyâsa kullum mina ssâlihîn

De même, Zacharie, Jean-Baptiste, Jésus et Elie, tous étant du nombre des gens de bien

And Zechariah and John and Jesus and Elias - and all were of the righteous

وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَالْيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطاٗۖ وَكُلّاٗ فَضَّلْنَا عَلَى اَ۬لْعَٰلَمِينَۖ ﱖ

Wa'ismâ‘îla walyasa‘a wayûnusa walûtan wakullan faddalnâ ‘alâ l‘âlamîn

De même, Ismaël, Elisée, Jonas et Lot. Chacun d'eux Nous l'avons favorisé par dessus le reste du monde

And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot - and all [of them] We preferred over the worlds

وَمِنَ اٰبَآئِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ وَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْۖ وَاجْتَبَيْنَٰهُمْ وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمُۥٓ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسْتَقِيمٖۖ ﱗ

Wamina âbâ'ihim wadhurriyyâtihim wa'ikhwânihim wajtabaynâhum wahadaynâhumû ilâ sirâtim mustaqîm

De même une partie de leurs ancêtres, de leurs descendants et de leurs frères et Nous les avons choisis et guidés vers un chemin droit

And [some] among their fathers and their descendants and their brothers - and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path

ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى اَ۬للَّهِ يَهْدِے بِهِۦ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦۖ وَلَوَ اَشْرَكُواْ لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَۖ ﱘ

Dhâlika hudâ llâhi yahdî bihî may yashâ'u min ‘ibâdihî walawa shrakû lahabita ‘anhum mâ kânû ya‘malûn

Telle est la direction par laquelle Allah guide qui Il veut parmi Ses serviteurs. Mais s'ils avaient donné à Allah des associés, alors, tout ce qu'ils auraient fait eût certainement été vain

That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whomever He wills of His servants. But if they had associated others with Allah, then worthless for them would be whatever they were doing

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ اَ۬لذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ اُ۬لْكِتَٰبَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوٓءَةَۖ فَإِنْ يَّكْفُرْ بِهَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْماٗ لَّيْسُواْ بِهَا بِكٰ۪فِرِينَۖ ﱙ

Ulâ'ika lladhîna âtaynâhumu lkitâba walhukma wannubû'ata fa'iy yakfur bihâ hâ'ulâ'i faqad wakkalnâ bihâ qawmal laysû bihâ bikêfirîn

C'est à eux que Nous avons apporté le Livre, la sagesse et la prophétie. Si ces autres-là n'y croient pas, du moins Nous avons confié ces choses à des gens qui ne les nient pas

Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture and authority and prophethood. But if the disbelievers deny it, then We have entrusted it to a people who are not therein disbelievers

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ اَ۬لذِينَ هَدَى اَ۬للَّهُ فَبِهُد۪يٰهُمُ اُ۪قْتَدِهْۖ قُل لَّآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْراًۖ اِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْر۪ىٰ لِلْعَٰلَمِينَۖ ﱚ

Ulâ'ika lladhîna hadâ llâhu fabihudêhumu qtadih qul lâ as'alukum ‘alayhi ajrani n huwa illâ dhikrê lil‘âlamîn

Voilà ceux qu'Allah a guidés: suis donc leur direction. Dis: «Je ne vous demande pas pour cela de salaire». Ce n'est qu'un rappel à l'intention de tout l'univers

Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, so from their guidance take an example. Say, "I ask of you for this message no payment. It is not but a reminder for the worlds

۞ وَمَا قَدَرُواْ اُ۬للَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِۦٓ إِذْ قَالُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلَىٰ بَشَرٖ مِّن شَےْءٖۖ قُلْ مَنَ اَنزَلَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبَ اَ۬لذِے جَآءَ بِهِۦ مُوس۪ىٰ نُوراٗ وَهُدىٗ لِّلنَّاسِۖ تَجْعَلُونَهُۥ قَرَاطِيسَ تُبْدُونَهَا وَتُخْفُونَ كَثِيراٗۖ وَعُلِّمْتُم مَّا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوٓاْ أَنتُمْ وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ قُلِ اِ۬للَّهُۖ ثُمَّ ذَرْهُمْ فِے خَوْضِهِمْ يَلْعَبُونَۖ ﱛ

Wamâ qadarû llâha haqqa qadrihî idh qâlû mâ anzala llâhu ‘alâ basharim min shay'in qul mana nzala lkitâba lladhî jâ'a bihî mûsê nûran wahudal linnâsi taj‘alûnahû qarâtîsa tubdûnahâ watukhfûna kathîran wa‘ullimtum mâ lam ta‘lamû antum walâ âbâ'ukum quli llâhu thumma dharhum fî khawdihim yal‘abûn

Ils n'apprécient pas Allah comme Il le mérite quand ils disent: «Allah n'a rien fait descendre sur un humain.» Dis: «Qui a fait descendre le Livre que Moïse a apporté comme lumière et guide, pour les gens? Vous le mettez en feuillets, pour en montrer une partie, tout en cachant beaucoup. Vous avez été instruits de ce que vous ne saviez pas, ni vous ni vos ancêtres. Dis: «C'est Allah». Et puis, laisse-les s'amuser dans leur égarement

And they did not appraise Allah with true appraisal when they said, "Allah did not reveal to a human being anything." Say, "Who revealed the Scripture that Moses brought as light and guidance to the people? You [Jews] make it into pages, disclosing [some of] it and concealing much. And you were taught that which you knew not - neither you nor your fathers." Say, "Allah [revealed it]." Then leave them in their [empty] discourse, amusing themselves

وَهَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌ اَنزَلْنَٰهُ مُبَٰرَكٞ مُّصَدِّقُ اُ۬لذِے بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلِتُنذِرَ أُمَّ اَ۬لْقُر۪ىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَاۖ وَالذِينَ يُومِنُونَ بِالَاخِرَةِ يُومِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَۖ ﱜ

Wahâdhâ kitâbuna nzalnâhu mubârakum musaddiqu lladhî bayna yadayhi walitundhira umma lqurê waman hawlahâ walladhîna yûminûna bilakhirati yûminûna bihî wahum ‘alâ salâtihim yuhâfizûn

Voici un Livre (le Coran) béni que Nous avons fait descendre, confirmant ce qui existait déjà avant lui, afin que tu avertisses la Mère des Cités (la Mecque) et les gens tout autour. Ceux qui croient au Jour dernier, y croient et demeurent assidus dans leur Salât

And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed and confirming what was before it, that you may warn the Mother of Cities and those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they are maintaining their prayers

وَمَنَ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ اِ۪فْتَر۪ىٰ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ كَذِباً اَوْ قَالَ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَےْءٞ وَمَن قَالَ سَأُنزِلُ مِثْلَ مَآ أَنزَلَ اَ۬للَّهُۖ وَلَوْ تَر۪ىٰٓ إِذِ اِ۬لظَّٰلِمُونَ فِے غَمَرَٰتِ اِ۬لْمَوْتِ وَالْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ بَاسِطُوٓاْ أَيْدِيهِمُۥٓ أَخْرِجُوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمُۖ اُ۬لْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ اَ۬لْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ غَيْرَ اَ۬لْحَقِّ وَكُنتُمْ عَنَ اٰيَٰتِهِۦ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَۖ ﱝ

Wamana zlamu mimmani ftarê ‘alâ llâhi kadhibana w qâla ûhiya ilayya walam yûha ilayhi shay'un waman qâla sa'unzilu mithla mâ anzala llâhu walaw tarê idhi zzâlimûna fî ghamarâti lmawti walmalâ'ikatu bâsitû aydîhimû akhrijû anfusakumu lyawma tujzawna ‘adhâba lhûni bimâ kuntum taqûlûna ‘alâ llâhi ghayra lhaqqi wakuntum ‘ana âyâtihî tastakbirûn

Et quel pire injuste que celui qui fabrique un mensonge contre Allah ou qui dit: «Révélation m'a été faite», quand rien ne lui a été révélé. De même celui qui dit: «Je vais faire descendre quelque chose de semblable à ce qu'Allah a fait descendre.» Si tu voyais les injustes lorsqu'ils seront dans les affres de la mort, et que les Anges leur tendront les mains (disant): «Laissez sortir vos âmes. Aujourd'hui vous allez être récompensés par le châtiment de l'humiliation pour ce que vous disiez sur Allah d'autre que la vérité et parce que vous vous détourniez orgueilleusement de Ses enseignements»

And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah or says, "It has been inspired to me," while nothing has been inspired to him, and one who says, "I will reveal [something] like what Allah revealed." And if you could but see when the wrongdoers are in the overwhelming pangs of death while the angels extend their hands, [saying], "Discharge your souls! Today you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation for what you used to say against Allah other than the truth and [that] you were, toward His verses, being arrogant

وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَٰد۪ىٰ كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمُۥٓ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٖ وَتَرَكْتُم مَّا خَوَّلْنَٰكُمْ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِكُمْۖ وَمَا نَر۪ىٰ مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَآءَكُمُ اُ۬لذِينَ زَعَمْتُمُۥٓ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَٰٓؤُاْۖ لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَۖ ﱞ

Walaqad jî'tumûnâ furâdê kamâ khalaqnâkumû awwala marratin wataraktum mâ khawwalnâkum warâ'a zuhûrikum wamâ narê ma‘akum shufa‘â'akumu lladhîna za‘amtumû annahum fîkum shurakâ'u laqad taqatta‘a baynakum wadalla ‘ankum mâ kuntum taz‘umûn

Et vous voici venus à Nous, seuls, tout comme Nous vous avions créés la première fois, abandonnant derrière vos dos tout ce que Nous vous avions accordé. Nous ne vous voyons point accompagnés des intercesseurs que vous prétendiez être des associés. Il y a certainement eu rupture entre vous: ils vous ont abandonnés, ceux que vous prétendiez (être vos intercesseurs)

[It will be said to them], "And you have certainly come to Us alone as We created you the first time, and you have left whatever We bestowed upon you behind you. And We do not see with you your 'intercessors' which you claimed that they were among you associates [of Allah]. It has [all] been severed between you, and lost from you is what you used to claim

۞ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ فَٰلِقُ اُ۬لْحَبِّ وَالنَّو۪ىٰۖ يُخْرِجُ اُ۬لْحَيَّ مِنَ اَ۬لْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ اُ۬لْمَيِّتِ مِنَ اَ۬لْحَيِّۖ ذَٰلِكُمُ اُ۬للَّهُۖ فَأَنّ۪ىٰ تُوفَكُونَۖ ﱟ

Inna llâha fâliqu lhabbi wannawê yukhriju lhayya mina lmayyiti wamukhriju lmayyiti mina lhayyi dhâlikumu llâhu fa'annê tûfakûn

C'est Allah qui fait fendre la graine et le noyau: du mort il fait sortir le vivant, et du vivant, il fait sortir le mort. Tel est Allah. Comment donc vous laissez-vous détourner

Indeed, Allah is the cleaver of grain and date seeds. He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living. That is Allah; so how are you deluded

فَالِقُ اُ۬لِاصْبَاحِ وَجَٰعِلُ اُ۬ليْلِ سَكَناٗۖ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ حُسْبَٰناٗۖ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ اُ۬لْعَزِيزِ اِ۬لْعَلِيمِۖ ﱠ

Fâliqu lisbâhi wajâ‘ilu llayli sakanan washshamsa walqamara husbânan dhâlika taqdîru l‘azîzi l‘alîm

Fendeur de l'aube, Il a fait de la nuit une phase de repos; le soleil et la lune pour mesurer le temps. Voilà l'ordre conçu par le Puissant, l'Omniscient

[He is] the cleaver of daybreak and has made the night for rest and the sun and moon for calculation. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing

وَهُوَ اَ۬لذِے جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اُ۬لنُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُواْ بِهَا فِے ظُلُمَٰتِ اِ۬لْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِۖ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا اَ۬لَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٖ يَعْلَمُونَۖ ﱡ

Wahuwa lladhî ja‘ala lakumu nnujûma litahtadû bihâ fî zulumâti lbarri walbahri qad fassalnâ layâti liqawmin ya‘lamûn

Et c'est Lui qui vous a assigné les étoiles, pour que, par elles, vous vous guidiez dans les ténèbres de la terre et de la mer. Certes, Nous exposons les preuves pour ceux qui savent

And it is He who placed for you the stars that you may be guided by them through the darknesses of the land and sea. We have detailed the signs for a people who know

وَهُوَ اَ۬لذِےٓ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٖ وَٰحِدَةٖ فَمُسْتَقَرّٞ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٞۖ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا اَ۬لَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٖ يَفْقَهُونَۖ ﱢ

Wahuwa lladhî ansha'akum min nafsin wâhidatin famustaqarrun wamustawda‘un qad fassalnâ layâti liqawmin yafqahûn

Et c'est Lui qui vous a créés à partir d'une personne unique (Adam). Et il y a une demeure et un lieu de dépôt (pour vous.) Nous avons exposé les preuves pour ceux qui comprennent

And it is He who produced you from one soul and [gave you] a place of dwelling and of storage. We have detailed the signs for a people who understand

وَهُوَ اَ۬لذِےٓ أَنزَلَ مِنَ اَ۬لسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَےْءٖ فَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهُ خَضِراٗ نُّخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَبّاٗ مُّتَرَاكِباٗ وَمِنَ اَ۬لنَّخْلِ مِن طَلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٞ دَانِيَةٞ وَجَنَّٰتٖ مِّنَ اَعْنَٰبٖ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهاٗ وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٍۖ اُ۟نظُرُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَيَنْعِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّ فِے ذَٰلِكُمْ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوْمٖ يُومِنُونَۖ ﱣ

Wahuwa lladhî anzala mina ssamâ'i mâ'an fa'akhrajnâ bihî nabâta kulli shay'in fa'akhrajnâ minhu khadiran nukhriju minhu habbam mutarâkiban wamina nnakhli min tal‘ihâ qinwânun dâniyatun wajannâtim mina ‘nâbin wazzaytûna warrummâna mushtabihan waghayra mutashâbihini nzurû ilâ thamarihî idhâ athmara wayan‘ihî inna fî dhâlikum la'yâtil liqawmin yûminûn

Et c'est Lui qui, du ciel, a fait descendre l'eau. Puis par elle, Nous fîmes germer toute plante, de quoi Nous fîmes sortir une verdure, d'où Nous produisîmes des grains, superposés les uns sur les autres; et du palmier, de sa spathe, des régimes de dattes qui se tendent. Et aussi les jardins de raisins, l'olive et la grenade, semblables ou différents les uns des autres. Regardez leurs fruits au moment de leur production et de leur mûrissement. Voilà bien là des signes pour ceux qui ont la foi

And it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. We produce from it greenery from which We produce grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees - of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at [each of] its fruit when it yields and [at] its ripening. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe

وَجَعَلُواْ لِلهِ شُرَكَآءَ اَ۬لْجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمْۖ وَخَرَّقُواْ لَهُۥ بَنِينَ وَبَنَٰتِۢ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٖۖ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰل۪ىٰ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَۖ ﱤ

Waja‘alû lillâhi shurakâ'a ljinna wakhalaqahum wakharraqû lahû banîna wabanâtim bighayri ‘ilmin subhânahû wata‘âlê ‘ammâ yasifûn

Et ils ont désigné des associés à Allah: les djinns, alors que c'est Lui qui les a créés. Et ils Lui ont inventé, dans leur ignorance, des fils et des filles, Gloire à Lui! Il transcende tout ce qu'ils lui attribuent

But they have attributed to Allah partners - the jinn, while He has created them - and have fabricated for Him sons and daughters. Exalted is He and high above what they describe

بَدِيعُ اُ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِۖ أَنّ۪ىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُۥ وَلَدٞ وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُۥ صَٰحِبَةٞۖ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَےْءٖۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَےْءٍ عَلِيمٞۖ ﱥ

Badî‘u ssamâwâti walardi annê yakûnu lahû waladun walam takul lahû sâhibatun wakhalaqa kulla shay'in wahuwa bikulli shay'in ‘alîm

Créateur des cieux et de la terre. Comment aurait-Il un enfant, quand Il n'a pas de compagne? C'est Lui qui a tout créé, et Il est Omniscient

[He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing

ذَٰلِكُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ رَبُّكُمْۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَےْءٖۖ فَاعْبُدُوهُۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَےْءٖ وَكِيلٞۖ ﱦ

Dhâlikumu llâhu rabbukum lâ ilâha illâ huwa khâliqu kulli shay'in fa‘budûhu wahuwa ‘alâ kulli shay'in wakîl

Voilà Allah, votre Seigneur! Il n'y a de divinité que Lui, Créateur de tout. Adorez-Le donc. C'est Lui qui a charge de tout

That is Allah, your Lord; there is no deity except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things

۞ لَّا تُدْرِكُهُ اُ۬لَابْصَٰرُۖ وَهُوَ يُدْرِكُ اُ۬لَابْصَٰرَۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬للَّطِيفُ اُ۬لْخَبِيرُۖ ﱧ

Lâ tudrikuhu labsâru wahuwa yudriku labsâra wahuwa llatîfu lkhabîr

Les regards ne peuvent l'atteindre, cependant qu'Il saisit tous les regards. Et Il est le Doux, le Parfaitement Connaisseur

Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the Acquainted

قَدْ جَآءَكُم بَصَآئِرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمْۖ فَمَنَ اَبْصَرَ فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ وَمَنْ عَمِيَ فَعَلَيْهَاۖ وَمَآ أَنَا عَلَيْكُم بِحَفِيظٖۖ ﱨ

Qad jâ'akum basâ'iru mir rabbikum famana bsara falinafsihî waman ‘amiya fa‘alayhâ wamâ anâ ‘alaykum bihafîz

Certes, il vous est parvenu des preuves évidentes, de la part de votre Seigneur. Donc, quiconque voit clair, c'est en sa faveur; et quiconque reste aveugle, c'est à son détriment, car je ne suis nullement chargé de votre sauvegarde

There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever is blind [does harm] against it. And [say], "I am not a guardian over you

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ اُ۬لَايَٰتِ وَلِيَقُولُواْ دَرَسْتَ وَلِنُبَيِّنَهُۥ لِقَوْمٖ يَعْلَمُونَۖ ﱩ

Wakadhâlika nusarrifu layâti waliyaqûlû darasta walinubayyinahû liqawmin ya‘lamûn

C'est ainsi que Nous expliquons les versets. Et afin qu'ils disent: «Tu as étudié». Et afin de l'exposer clairement à des gens qui savent

And thus do We diversify the verses so the disbelievers will say, "You have studied," and so We may make the Qur'an clear for a people who know

اَ۪تَّبِعْ مَآ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ اِ۬لْمُشْرِكِينَۖ ﱪ

Attabi‘ mâ ûhiya ilayka mir rabbika lâ ilâha illâ huwa wa'a‘rid ‘ani lmushrikîn

Suis ce qui t'est révélé de la part de ton Seigneur. Point de divinité autre que Lui. Et écarte-toi des associateurs

Follow, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you from your Lord - there is no deity except Him - and turn away from those who associate others with Allah

وَلَوْ شَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُ مَآ أَشْرَكُواْۖ وَمَا جَعَلْنَٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظاٗۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٖۖ ﱫ

Walaw shâ'a llâhu mâ ashrakû wamâ ja‘alnâka ‘alayhim hafîzan wamâ anta ‘alayhim biwakîl

Si Allah voulait, ils ne seraient point associateurs! Mais Nous ne t'avons pas désigné comme gardien sur eux; et tu n'es pas leur garant

But if Allah had willed, they would not have associated. And We have not appointed you over them as a guardian, nor are you a manager over them

وَلَا تَسُبُّواْ اُ۬لذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ فَيَسُبُّواْ اُ۬للَّهَ عَدْواَۢ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٖۖ كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْۖ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِم مَّرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَۖ ﱬ

Walâ tasubbû lladhîna yad‘ûna min dûni llâhi fayasubbû llâha ‘adwam bighayri ‘ilmin kadhâlika zayyannâ likulli ummatin ‘amalahum thumma ilâ rabbihim marji‘uhum fayunabbî'uhum bimâ kânû ya‘malûn

N'injuriez pas ceux qu'ils invoquent, en dehors d'Allah, car par agressivité, ils injurieraient Allah, dans leur ignorance. De même, Nous avons enjolivé (aux yeux) de chaque communauté sa propre action. Ensuite, c'est vers leur Seigneur que sera leur retour; et Il les informera de ce qu'ils œuvraient

And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do

وَأَقْسَمُواْ بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ لَئِن جَآءَتْهُمُۥٓ ءَايَةٞ لَّيُومِنُنَّ بِهَاۖ قُلِ اِنَّمَا اَ۬لَايَٰتُ عِندَ اَ۬للَّهِۖ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمُۥٓۖ أَنَّهَآ إِذَا جَآءَتْ لَا يُومِنُونَۖ ﱭ

Wa'aqsamû billâhi jahda aymânihim la'in jâ'athumû âyatul layûminunna bihâ quli nnamâ layâtu ‘inda llâhi wamâ yush‘irukumû annahâ idhâ jâ'at lâ yûminûn

Et ils jurent par Allah de toute la force de leurs serments, que s'il leur venait un miracle, ils y croiraient (sans hésiter,) Dis: «En vérité, les miracles ne dépendent que d'Allah.» Mais qu'est ce qui vous fait penser que quand cela (le signe) arrivera, ils n'y croiront pas

And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, "The signs are only with Allah." And what will make you perceive that even if a sign came, they would not believe

وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْـِٕدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَٰرَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُومِنُواْ بِهِۦٓ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٖ وَنَذَرُهُمْ فِے طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَۖ ﱮ

Wanuqallibu af'idatahum wa'absârahum kamâ lam yûminû bihî awwala marratin wanadharuhum fî tughyânihim ya‘mahûn

Parce qu'ils n'ont pas cru la première fois, nous détournerons leurs cœurs et leurs yeux; nous les laisserons marcher aveuglement dans leur rébellion

And We will turn away their hearts and their eyes just as they refused to believe in it the first time. And We will leave them in their transgression, wandering blindly

۞ وَلَوَ اَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ اُ۬لْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ اُ۬لْمَوْت۪ىٰ وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَےْءٖ قِبَلاٗ مَّا كَانُواْ لِيُومِنُوٓاْ إِلَّآ أَنْ يَّشَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُۖ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَۖ ﱯ

Walawa nnanâ nazzalnâ ilayhimu lmalâ'ikata wakallamahumu lmawtê wahasharnâ ‘alayhim kulla shay'in qibalam mâ kânû liyûminû illâ ay yashâ'a llâhu walâkinna aktharahum yajhalûn

Et si Nous faisions descendre les Anges vers eux, [comme ils l'avaient proposé] si les morts leur parlaient, et si Nous rassemblions toute chose devant eux, ils ne croiraient que si Allah veut. Mais la plupart d'entre eux ignorent

And even if We had sent down to them the angels [with the message] and the dead spoke to them [of it] and We gathered together every [created] thing in front of them, they would not believe unless Allah should will. But most of them, [of that], are ignorant

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِےٓءٍ عَدُوّاٗ شَيَٰطِينَ اَ۬لِانسِ وَالْجِنِّ يُوحِے بَعْضُهُمُۥٓ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٖ زُخْرُفَ اَ۬لْقَوْلِ غُرُوراٗۖ وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَۖ ﱰ

Wakadhâlika ja‘alnâ likulli nabî'in ‘aduwwan shayâtîna linsi waljinni yûhî ba‘duhumû ilâ ba‘din zukhrufa lqawli ghurûran walaw shâ'a rabbuka mâ fa‘alûhu fadharhum wamâ yaftarûn

Ainsi, à chaque prophète avons-Nous assigné un ennemi: des diables d'entre les hommes et les djinns, qui s'inspirent trompeusement les uns aux autres des paroles enjolivées. Si ton Seigneur avait voulu, ils ne l'auraient pas fait; laisse-les donc avec ce qu'ils inventent

And thus We have made for every prophet an enemy - devils from mankind and jinn, inspiring to one another decorative speech in delusion. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and that which they invent

وَلِتَصْغ۪ىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ أَفْـِٕدَةُ اُ۬لذِينَ لَا يُومِنُونَ بِالَاخِرَةِ وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ وَلِيَقْتَرِفُواْ مَا هُم مُّقْتَرِفُونَۖ ﱱ

Walitasghê ilayhi af'idatu lladhîna lâ yûminûna bilakhirati waliyardawhu waliyaqtarifû mâ hum muqtarifûn

Et pour que les cœurs de ceux qui ne croient pas à l'au-delà se penchent vers elles, qu'ils les agréent, et qu'ils perpètrent ce qu'ils perpètrent

And [it is] so the hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter will incline toward it and that they will be satisfied with it and that they will commit that which they are committing

أَفَغَيْرَ اَ۬للَّهِ أَبْتَغِے حَكَماٗ وَهُوَ اَ۬لذِےٓ أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ اُ۬لْكِتَٰبَ مُفَصَّلاٗۖ وَالذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ اُ۬لْكِتَٰبَ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُۥ مُنزَلٞ مِّن رَّبِّكَ بِالْحَقِّۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُمْتَرِينَۖ ﱲ

Afaghayra llâhi abtaghî hakaman wahuwa lladhî anzala ilaykumu lkitâba mufassalan walladhîna âtaynâhumu lkitâba ya‘lamûna annahû munzalum mir rabbika bilhaqqi falâ takûnanna mina lmumtarîn

Chercherai-je un autre juge qu'Allah, alors que c'est Lui qui a fait descendre vers vous ce Livre bien exposé? Ceux auxquels Nous avons donné le Livre savent qu'il est descendu avec la vérité venant de ton Seigneur. Ne sois donc point du nombre de ceux qui doutent

[Say], "Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?" And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters

وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَٰتُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقاٗ وَعَدْلاٗۖ لَّا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لسَّمِيعُ اُ۬لْعَلِيمُۖ ﱳ

Watammat kalimâtu rabbika sidqan wa‘adlal lâ mubaddila likalimâtihî wahuwa ssamî‘u l‘alîm

Et la parole de ton Seigneur s'est accomplie en toute vérité et équité. Nul ne peut modifier Ses paroles. Il est l'Audient, l'Omniscient

And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing

وَإِن تُطِعَ اَكْثَرَ مَن فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ إِنْ يَّتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا اَ۬لظَّنَّۖ وَإِنْ هُمُۥٓ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَۖ ﱴ

Wa'in tuti‘a kthara man fî lardi yudillûka ‘an sabîli llâhi iy yattabi‘ûna illâ zzanna wa'in humû illâ yakhrusûn

Et si tu obéis à la majorité de ceux qui sont sur la terre, ils t'égareront du sentier d'Allah: ils ne suivent que la conjecture et ne font que fabriquer des mensonges

And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah. They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ مَنْ يَّضِلُّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦۖ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَۖ ﱵ

Inna rabbaka huwa a‘lamu may yadillu ‘an sabîlihî wahuwa a‘lamu bilmuhtadîn

Certes ton Seigneur connaît le mieux ceux qui s'égarent de Son sentier, et c'est Lui qui connaît le mieux les bien-guidés

Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided

فَكُلُواْ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اَ۪سْمُ اُ۬للَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِن كُنتُم بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦ مُومِنِينَۖ ﱶ

Fakulû mimmâ dhukira smu llâhi ‘alayhi in kuntum bi'âyâtihî mûminîn

Mangez donc de ce sur quoi on a prononcé le nom d'Allah si vous êtes croyants en Ses versets (le Coran)

So eat of that [meat] upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned, if you are believers in His verses

وَمَا لَكُمُۥٓ أَلَّا تَاكُلُواْ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اَ۪سْمُ اُ۬للَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُم مَّا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُۥٓ إِلَّا مَا اَ۟ضْطُرِرْتُمُۥٓ إِلَيْهِۖ وَإِنَّ كَثِيراٗ لَّيَضِلُّونَ بِأَهْوَآئِهِم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۖ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُعْتَدِينَۖ ﱷ

Wamâ lakumû allâ tâkulû mimmâ dhukira smu llâhi ‘alayhi waqad fassala lakum mâ harrama ‘alaykumû illâ mâ dturirtumû ilayhi wa'inna kathîral layadillûna bi'ahwâ'ihim bighayri ‘ilmini nna rabbaka huwa a‘lamu bilmu‘tadîn

Qu'avez-vous à ne pas manger de ce sur quoi le nom d'Allah a été prononcé? Alors qu'Il vous a détaillé ce qu'Il vous a interdit, à moins que vous ne soyez contraints d'y recourir. Beaucoup de gens égarent, sans savoir, par leurs passions. C'est ton Seigneur qui connaît le mieux les transgresseurs

And why should you not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelled. And indeed do many lead [others] astray through their [own] inclinations without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord - He is most knowing of the transgressors

۞ وَذَرُواْ ظَٰهِرَ اَ۬لِاثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُۥٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ يَكْسِبُونَ اَ۬لِاثْمَ سَيُجْزَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَقْتَرِفُونَۖ ﱸ

Wadharû zâhira lithmi wabâtinahû inna lladhîna yaksibûna lithma sayujzawna bimâ kânû yaqtarifûn

Evitez le péché apparent ou caché, (car) ceux qui acquièrent le péché seront rétribués selon ce qu'ils auront commis

And leave what is apparent of sin and what is concealed thereof. Indeed, those who earn [blame for] sin will be recompensed for that which they used to commit

وَلَا تَاكُلُواْ مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اِ۪سْمُ اُ۬للَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِسْقٞۖ وَإِنَّ اَ۬لشَّيَٰطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ لِيُجَٰدِلُوكُمْۖ وَإِنَ اَطَعْتُمُوهُمُۥٓ إِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُونَۖ ﱹ

Walâ tâkulû mimmâ lam yudhkari smu llâhi ‘alayhi wa'innahû lafisqun wa'inna shshayâtîna layûhûna ilâ awliyâ'ihim liyujâdilûkum wa'ina ta‘tumûhumû innakum lamushrikûn

Et ne mangez pas de ce sur quoi le nom d'Allah n'a pas été prononcé, car ce serait (assurément) une perversité. Les diables inspirent à leurs alliés de disputer avec vous. Si vous leur obéissez, vous deviendrez certes des associateurs

And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed do the devils inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be associators [of others with Him]

أَوَمَن كَانَ مَيِّتاٗ فَأَحْيَيْنَٰهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُۥ نُوراٗ يَمْشِے بِهِۦ فِے اِ۬لنَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُۥ فِے اِ۬لظُّلُمَٰتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٖ مِّنْهَاۖ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكٰ۪فِرِينَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَۖ ﱺ

Awaman kâna mayyitan fa'ahyaynâhu waja‘alnâ lahû nûran yamshî bihî fî nnâsi kamam mathaluhû fî zzulumâti laysa bikhârijim minhâ kadhâlika zuyyina lilkêfirîna mâ kânû ya‘malûn

Est-ce que celui qui était mort et que Nous avons ramené à la vie et à qui Nous avons assigné une lumière grâce à laquelle il marche parmi les gens, est pareil à celui qui est dans les ténèbres sans pouvoir en sortir? Ainsi on a enjolivé aux mécréants ce qu'ils œuvrent

And is one who was dead and We gave him life and made for him light by which to walk among the people like one who is in darkness, never to emerge therefrom? Thus it has been made pleasing to the disbelievers that which they were doing

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِے كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ اَكَٰبِرَ مُجْرِمِيهَا لِيَمْكُرُواْ فِيهَاۖ وَمَا يَمْكُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَۖ ﱻ

Wakadhâlika ja‘alnâ fî kulli qaryatina kâbira mujrimîhâ liyamkurû fîhâ wamâ yamkurûna illâ bi'anfusihim wamâ yash‘urûn

Ainsi, Nous avons placé dans chaque cité de grands criminels qui y ourdissent des complots. Mais ils ne complotent que contre eux-mêmes et ils n'en sont pas conscients

And thus We have placed within every city the greatest of its criminals to conspire therein. But they conspire not except against themselves, and they perceive [it] not

وَإِذَا جَآءَتْهُمُۥٓ ءَايَةٞ قَالُواْ لَن نُّومِنَ حَتَّىٰ نُوت۪ىٰ مِثْلَ مَآ أُوتِيَ رُسُلُ اُ۬للَّهِۖ اِ۬للَّهُ أَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسَٰلَٰتِهِۦۖ سَيُصِيبُ اُ۬لذِينَ أَجْرَمُواْ صَغَارٌ عِندَ اَ۬للَّهِ وَعَذَابٞ شَدِيدُۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَمْكُرُونَۖ ﱼ

Wa'idhâ jâ'athumû âyatun qâlû lan nûmina hattâ nûtê mithla mâ ûtiya rusulu llâhi llâhu a‘lamu haythu yaj‘alu risâlâtihî sayusîbu lladhîna ajramû saghârun ‘inda llâhi wa‘adhâbun shadîdum bimâ kânû yamkurûn

Et lorsqu'une preuve leur vient, ils disent: «Jamais nous ne croirons tant que nous n'aurons pas reçu un don semblable à celui qui a été donné aux messagers d'Allah». Allah sait mieux où placer Son message. Ceux qui ont commis le crime seront atteints d'un rapetissement auprès d'Allah ainsi que d'un supplice sévère pour les ruses qu'ils tramaient

And when a sign comes to them, they say, "Never will we believe until we are given like that which was given to the messengers of Allah." Allah is most knowing of where He places His message. There will afflict those who committed crimes debasement before Allah and severe punishment for what they used to conspire

فَمَنْ يُّرِدِ اِ۬للَّهُ أَنْ يَّهْدِيَهُۥ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلِاسْلَٰمِۖ وَمَنْ يُّرِدَ اَنْ يُّضِلَّهُۥ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُۥ ضَيِّقاً حَرِجاٗ كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِے اِ۬لسَّمَآءِۖ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ اُ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لرِّجْسَ عَلَى اَ۬لذِينَ لَا يُومِنُونَۖ ﱽ

Famay yuridi llâhu ay yahdiyahû yashrah sadrahû liliâslâmi wamay yurida y yudillahû yaj‘al sadrahû dayyiqan harijan ka'annamâ yassa‘‘adu fî ssamâ'i kadhâlika yaj‘alu llâhu rrijsa ‘alâ lladhîna lâ yûminûn

Et puis, quiconque Allah veut guider, Il lui ouvre la poitrine à l'Islam. Et quiconque Il veut égarer, Il rend sa poitrine étroite et gênée, comme s'il s'efforçait de monter au ciel. Ainsi Allah inflige Sa punition à ceux qui ne croient pas

So whoever Allah wants to guide - He expands his breast to [contain] Islam; and whoever He wants to misguide - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe

وَهَٰذَا صِرَٰطُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِيماٗۖ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا اَ۬لَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٖ يَذَّكَّرُونَۖ ﱾ

Wahâdhâ sirâtu rabbika mustaqîman qad fassalnâ layâti liqawmin yadhdhakkarûn

Telle est la voie de ton Seigneur dans toute sa rectitude. Nous avons [effectivement] bien détaillé les signes (ou versets) à des gens qui se rappellent

And this is the path of your Lord, [leading] straight. We have detailed the verses for a people who remember

۞ لَهُمْ دَارُ اُ۬لسَّلَٰمِ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْۖ وَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَۖ ﱿ

Lahum dâru ssalâmi ‘inda rabbihim wahuwa waliyyuhum bimâ kânû ya‘malûn

Pour eux la maison du Salut auprès de leur Seigneur. Et c'est Lui qui est leur protecteur, pour ce qu'ils faisaient (sur terre)

For them will be the Home of Peace with their Lord. And He will be their protecting friend because of what they used to do

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعاٗ يَٰمَعْشَرَ اَ۬لْجِنِّ قَدِ اِ۪سْتَكْثَرْتُم مِّنَ اَ۬لِانسِۖ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم مِّنَ اَ۬لِانسِ رَبَّنَا اَ۪سْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٖ وَبَلَغْنَآ أَجَلَنَا اَ۬لذِےٓ أَجَّلْتَ لَنَاۖ قَالَ اَ۬لنَّارُ مَثْو۪يٰكُمْ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُۖ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٞۖ ﲀ

Wayawma nahshuruhum jamî‘an yâma‘shara ljinni qadi stakthartum mina linsi waqâla awliyâ'uhum mina linsi rabbanâ stamta‘a ba‘dunâ biba‘din wabalaghnâ ajalanâ lladhî ajjalta lanâ qâla nnâru mathwêkum khâlidîna fîhâ illâ mâ shâ'a llâhu inna rabbaka hakîmun ‘alîm

Et le jour où Il les rassemblera tous: «O communauté des djinns, vous avez trop abusé des humains». Et leurs alliés parmi les humains diront: «O notre Seigneur, nous avons profité les uns des autres, et nous avons atteint le terme que Tu avais fixé pour nous.» Il leur dira: «l'Enfer est votre demeure, pour y rester éternellement, sauf si Allah en décide autrement.» Vraiment ton Seigneur est Sage et Omniscient

And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day when He will gather them together [and say], "O company of jinn, you have [misled] many of mankind." And their allies among mankind will say, "Our Lord, some of us made use of others, and we have [now] reached our term, which you appointed for us." He will say, "The Fire is your residence, wherein you will abide eternally, except for what Allah wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُوَلِّے بَعْضَ اَ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَ بَعْضاَۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَۖ ﲁ

Wakadhâlika nuwallî ba‘da zzâlimîna ba‘dam bimâ kânû yaksibûn

Et ainsi accordons-Nous, à certains injustes l'autorité sur d'autres, (injustes) à cause de ce qu'ils ont acquis

And thus will We make some of the wrongdoers allies of others for what they used to earn

يَٰمَعْشَرَ اَ۬لْجِنِّ وَالِانسِ أَلَمْ يَاتِكُمْ رُسُلٞ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمُۥٓ ءَايَٰتِے وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَاۖ قَالُواْ شَهِدْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِنَاۖ وَغَرَّتْهُمُ اُ۬لْحَيَوٰةُ اُ۬لدُّنْي۪ا وَشَهِدُواْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمُۥٓ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ كٰ۪فِرِينَۖ ﲂ

Yâma‘shara ljinni walinsi alam yâtikum rusulum minkum yaqussûna ‘alaykumû âyâtî wayundhirûnakum liqâ'a yawmikum hâdhâ qâlû shahidnâ ‘alâ anfusinâ wagharrathumu lhayawâtu ddunyê washahidû ‘alâ anfusihimû annahum kânû kêfirîn

O communauté des djinns et des humains, ne vous est-il pas venu des messagers, choisis parmi vous, qui vous ont raconté Mes signes et averti de la rencontre de ce jour? Ils diront: «Nous témoignons contre nous-mêmes.» La vie présente les a trompés; et ils ont témoigné contre eux-mêmes qu'en (vérité) ils étaient mécréants

O company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves"; and the worldly life had deluded them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers

ذَٰلِكَ أَن لَّمْ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ اَ۬لْقُر۪ىٰ بِظُلْمٖ وَأَهْلُهَا غَٰفِلُونَۖ ﲃ

Dhâlika al lam yakur rabbuka muhlika lqurê bizulmin wa'ahluhâ ghâfilûn

C'est que ton Seigneur n'anéantit point injustement des cités dont les gens ne sont pas encore avertis

That is because your Lord would not destroy the cities for wrongdoing while their people were unaware

وَلِكُلّٖ دَرَجَٰتٞ مِّمَّا عَمِلُواْۖ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَۖ ﲄ

Walikullin darajâtum mimmâ ‘amilû wamâ rabbuka bighâfilin ‘ammâ ya‘malûn

A chacun des rangs (des récompenses) selon ses œuvres. Or ton Seigneur n'est pas inattentif à ce qu'ils font

And for all are degrees from what they have done. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do

وَرَبُّكَ اَ۬لْغَنِيُّ ذُو اُ۬لرَّحْمَةِۖ إِنْ يَّشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِنۢ بَعْدِكُم مَّا يَشَآءُ كَمَآ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ اٰخَرِينَۖ ﲅ

Warabbuka lghaniyyu dhû rrahmati iy yasha' yudhhibkum wayastakhlif mim ba‘dikum mâ yashâ'u kamâ ansha'akum min dhurriyyati qawmin âkharîn

Ton Seigneur est le Suffisant à Soi-même, le Détenteur de la miséricorde. S'Il voulait, Il vous ferait périr et mettrait à votre place qui Il veut, de même qu'Il vous a créés d'une descendance d'un autre peuple

And your Lord is the Free of need, the possessor of mercy. If He wills, he can do away with you and give succession after you to whomever He wills, just as He produced you from the descendants of another people

إِنَّ مَا تُوعَدُونَ لَأٓتٖۖ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَۖ ﲆ

Inna mâ tû‘adûna la'tin wamâ antum bimu‘jizîn

Ce qui vous a été promis arrivera (certainement.) Et vous n'êtes pas à même de [Nous] réduire à l'impuissance

Indeed, what you are promised is coming, and you will not cause failure [to Allah]

۞ قُلْ يَٰقَوْمِ اِ۪عْمَلُواْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمُۥٓ إِنِّے عَامِلٞۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن تَكُونُ لَهُۥ عَٰقِبَةُ اُ۬لدّ۪ارِۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ اُ۬لظَّٰلِمُونَۖ ﲇ

Qul yâqawmi ‘malû ‘alâ makânatikumû innî ‘âmilun fasawfa ta‘lamûna man takûnu lahû ‘âqibatu ddêri innahû lâ yuflihu zzâlimûn

Dis: «O mon peuple! Continuez à agir selon votre méthode; moi aussi j'agirai selon la mienne. Ensuite, vous saurez qui aura un meilleur (sort) dans l'au-delà.» Certes, les injustes ne réussiront jamais

Say, "O my people, work according to your position; [for] indeed, I am working. And you are going to know who will have succession in the home. Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed

وَجَعَلُواْ لِلهِ مِمَّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ اَ۬لْحَرْثِ وَالَانْعَٰمِ نَصِيباٗ فَقَالُواْ هَٰذَا لِلهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَٰذَا لِشُرَكَآئِنَاۖ فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ فَلَا يَصِلُ إِلَى اَ۬للَّهِۖ وَمَا كَانَ لِلهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَىٰ شُرَكَآئِهِمْۖ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَۖ ﲈ

Waja‘alû lillâhi mimmâ dhara'a mina lharthi walan‘âmi nasîban faqâlû hâdhâ lillâhi biza‘mihim wahâdhâ lishurakâ'inâ famâ kâna lishurakâ'ihim falâ yasilu ilâ llâhi wamâ kâna lillâhi fahuwa yasilu ilâ shurakâ'ihim sâ'a mâ yahkumûn

Et ils assignent à Allah une part de ce qu'Il a Lui-même créé, en fait de récoltes et de bestiaux, et ils disent: «Ceci est à Allah - selon leur prétention! - et ceci à nos divinités.» Mais ce qui est pour leurs divinités ne parvient pas à Allah, tandis que ce qui est pour Allah parvient à leurs divinités. Comme leur jugement est mauvais

And the polytheists assign to Allah from that which He created of crops and livestock a share and say, "This is for Allah," by their claim, "and this is for our partners [associated with Him]." But what is for their "partners" does not reach Allah, while what is for Allah - this reaches their "partners." Evil is that which they rule

وَكَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٖ مِّنَ اَ۬لْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلَٰدِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْۖ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَۖ ﲉ

Wakadhâlika zayyana likathîrim mina lmushrikîna qatla awlâdihim shurakâ'uhum liyurdûhum waliyalbisû ‘alayhim dînahum walaw shâ'a llâhu mâ fa‘alûhu fadharhum wamâ yaftarûn

Et c'est ainsi que leurs divinités ont enjolivé à beaucoup d'associateurs le meurtre de leurs enfants, afin de les ruiner et de travestir à leurs yeux leur religion. Or si Allah voulait, ils ne le feraient pas. Laisse-les donc, ainsi que ce qu'ils inventent

And likewise, to many of the polytheists their partners have made [to seem] pleasing the killing of their children in order to bring about their destruction and to cover them with confusion in their religion. And if Allah had willed, they would not have done so. So leave them and that which they invent

وَقَالُواْ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَنْعَٰمٞ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٞ لَّا يَطْعَمُهَآ إِلَّا مَن نَّشَآءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَأَنْعَٰمٌ حُرِّمَت ظُّهُورُهَا وَأَنْعَٰمٞ لَّا يَذْكُرُونَ اَ۪سْمَ اَ۬للَّهِ عَلَيْهَا اَ۪فْتِرَآءً عَلَيْهِۖ سَيَجْزِيهِم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْتَرُونَۖ ﲊ

Waqâlû hâdhihî an‘âmun waharthun hijrul lâ yat‘amuhâ illâ man nashâ'u biza‘mihim wa'an‘âmun hurrimat zuhûruhâ wa'an‘âmul lâ yadhkurûna sma llâhi ‘alayhâ ftirâ'an ‘alayhi sayajzîhim bimâ kânû yaftarûn

Et ils dirent: «Voilà des bestiaux et des champs frappés d'interdiction: n'en mangeront que ceux que nous voudrons.» - selon leur prétention! - Et voilà des bêtes dont le dos est tabou, et des bêtes sur lesquelles ils ne mentionnent pas le nom d'Allah. Des inventions contre Lui! Il les rétribuera pour ce qu'ils inventaient comme mensonges

And they say, "These animals and crops are forbidden; no one may eat from them except whom we will," by their claim. And there are those [camels] whose backs are forbidden [by them] and those upon which the name of Allah is not mentioned - [all of this] an invention of untruth about Him. He will punish them for what they were inventing

وَقَالُواْ مَا فِے بُطُونِ هَٰذِهِ اِ۬لَانْعَٰمِ خَالِصَةٞ لِّذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَزْوَٰجِنَاۖ وَإِنْ يَّكُن مَّيْتَةٗ فَهُمْ فِيهِ شُرَكَآءُۖ سَيَجْزِيهِمْ وَصْفَهُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٞۖ ﲋ

Waqâlû mâ fî butûni hâdhihi lan‘âmi khâlisatul lidhukûrinâ wamuharramun ‘alâ azwâjinâ wa'iy yakum maytatan fahum fîhi shurakâ'u sayajzîhim wasfahumû innahû hakîmun ‘alîm

Et ils dirent: «Ce qui est dans le ventre de ces bêtes est réservé aux mâles d'entre nous, et interdit à nos femmes.» Et si c'est un mort-né, ils y participent tous. Bientôt Il les rétribuera pour leur prescription, car Il est Sage et Omniscient

And they say, "What is in the bellies of these animals is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our females. But if it is [born] dead, then all of them have shares therein." He will punish them for their description. Indeed, He is Wise and Knowing

۞ قَدْ خَسِرَ اَ۬لذِينَ قَتَلُوٓاْ أَوْلَٰدَهُمْ سَفَهاَۢ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٖ وَحَرَّمُواْ مَا رَزَقَهُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ اُ۪فْتِرَآءً عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِۖ قَد ضَّلُّواْ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُهْتَدِينَۖ ﲌ

Qad khasira lladhîna qatalû awlâdahum safaham bighayri ‘ilmin waharramû mâ razaqahumu llâhu ftirâ'an ‘alâ llâhi qad dallû wamâ kânû muhtadîn

Ils sont certes perdants, ceux qui ont, par sottise et ignorance tué leurs enfants, et ceux qui ont interdit ce qu'Allah leur a attribué de nourriture, inventant des mensonges contre Allah. Ils se sont égarés et ne sont point guidés

Those will have lost who killed their children in foolishness without knowledge and prohibited what Allah had provided for them, inventing untruth about Allah. They have gone astray and were not [rightly] guided

وَهُوَ اَ۬لذِےٓ أَنشَأَ جَنَّٰتٖ مَّعْرُوشَٰتٖ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَٰتٖ وَالنَّخْلَ وَالزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفاً ا۟كْلُهُۥ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَٰبِهاٗ وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٖۖ كُلُواْ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَءَاتُواْ حَقَّهُۥ يَوْمَ حِصَادِهِۦۖ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوٓاْۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ اُ۬لْمُسْرِفِينَۖ ﲍ

Wahuwa lladhî ansha'a jannâtim ma‘rûshâtin waghayra ma‘rûshâtin wannakhla wazzar‘a mukhtalifan ukluhû wazzaytûna warrummâna mutashâbihan waghayra mutashâbihin kulû min thamarihî idhâ athmara wa'âtû haqqahû yawma hisâdihî walâ tusrifû innahû lâ yuhibbu lmusrifîn

C'est Lui qui a créé les jardins, treillagés et non treillagés; ainsi que les palmiers et la culture aux récoltes diverses; [de même que] l'olive et la grenade, d'espèces semblables et différentes. Mangez de leurs fruits, quand ils en produisent; et acquittez-en les droits le jour de la récolte. Et ne gaspillez point car Il n'aime pas les gaspilleurs

And He it is who causes gardens to grow, [both] trellised and untrellised, and palm trees and crops of different [kinds of] food and olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Eat of [each of] its fruit when it yields and give its due [zakah] on the day of its harvest. And be not excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess

وَمِنَ اَ۬لَانْعَٰمِ حَمُولَةٗ وَفَرْشاٗۖ كُلُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اُ۬للَّهُۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطْوَٰتِ اِ۬لشَّيْطَٰنِۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٞۖ ﲎ

Wamina lan‘âmi hamûlatan wafarshan kulû mimmâ razaqakumu llâhu walâ tattabi‘û khutwâti shshaytâni innahû lakum ‘aduwwum mubîn

Et (Il a créé) parmi les bestiaux, certains pour le transport, et d'autres pour diverses utilités; mangez de ce qu'Allah vous a attribué, et ne suivez pas les pas du Diable, car il est pour vous un ennemi déclaré

And of the grazing livestock are carriers [of burdens] and those [too] small. Eat of what Allah has provided for you and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy

ثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَزْوَٰجٖۖ مِّنَ اَ۬لضَّأْنِ اِ۪ثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ اَ۬لْمَعْزِ اِ۪ثْنَيْنِۖ قُلَ آٰلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ اِ۬لُانثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا اَ۪شْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ اُ۬لُانثَيَيْنِۖ نَبِّـُٔونِے بِعِلْمٍ اِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَۖ ﲏ

Thamâniyata azwâjim mina dda'ni thnayni wamina lma‘zi thnayni qula âdhdhakarayni harrama ami lunthayayni ammâ shtamalat ‘alayhi arhâmu lunthayayni nabbi'ûnî bi‘ilmini n kuntum sâdiqîn

(Il en a créé) huit, en couples: deux pour les ovins, deux pour les caprins... dis: «Est-ce les deux mâles qu'Il a interdits ou les deux femelles, ou ce qui est dans les matrices des deux femelles? Informez-moi de toute connaissance, si vous êtes véridiques»

[They are] eight mates - of the sheep, two and of the goats, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge, if you should be truthful

وَمِنَ اَ۬لِابِلِ اِ۪ثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ اَ۬لْبَقَرِ اِ۪ثْنَيْنِۖ قُلَ آٰلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ اِ۬لُانثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا اَ۪شْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ اُ۬لُانثَيَيْنِۖ أَمْ كُنتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ ا۪ذْ وَصّ۪يٰكُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ بِهَٰذَاۖ فَمَنَ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ اِ۪فْتَر۪ىٰ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ كَذِباٗ لِّيُضِلَّ اَ۬لنَّاسَ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۖ اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ لَا يَهْدِے اِ۬لْقَوْمَ اَ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَۖ ﲐ

Wamina libili thnayni wamina lbaqari thnayni qula âdhdhakarayni harrama ami lunthayayni ammâ shtamalat ‘alayhi arhâmu lunthayayni am kuntum shuhadâ'a dh wassêkumu llâhu bihâdhâ famana zlamu mimmani ftarê ‘alâ llâhi kadhibal liyudilla nnâsa bighayri ‘ilmini nna llâha lâ yahdî lqawma zzâlimîn

deux pour les camélidés, deux pour les bovins... Dis: «Est-ce les deux mâles qu'Il a interdits ou les deux femelles, ou ce qui est dans les matrices des deux femelles? Ou bien étiez-vous témoins quand Allah vous l'enjoignit?» Qui est donc plus injuste que celui qui invente un mensonge contre Allah pour égarer les gens sans se baser sur aucun savoir? Allah ne guide pas les gens injustes

And of the camels, two and of the cattle, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allah charged you with this? Then who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah to mislead the people by [something] other than knowledge? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people

۞ قُل لَّآ أَجِدُ فِے مَآ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ مُحَرَّماً عَلَىٰ طَاعِمٖ يَطْعَمُهُۥٓ إِلَّآ أَنْ يَّكُونَ مَيْتَةً اَوْ دَماٗ مَّسْفُوحاً اَوْ لَحْمَ خِنزِيرٖ فَإِنَّهُۥ رِجْسٌۖ اَوْ فِسْقاً ا۟هِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اِ۬للَّهِ بِهِۦۖ فَمَنُ اُ۟ضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٖ وَلَا عَادٖ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞۖ ﲑ

Qul lâ ajidu fî mâ ûhiya ilayya muharraman ‘alâ tâ‘imin yat‘amuhû illâ ay yakûna maytatana w damam masfûhana w lahma khinzîrin fa'innahû rijsuna w fisqan uhilla lighayri llâhi bihî famanu dturra ghayra bâghin walâ ‘âdin fa'inna rabbaka ghafûrur rahîm

Dis: «Dans ce qui m'a été révélé, je ne trouve d'interdit, à aucun mangeur d'en manger, que la bête (trouvée) morte, ou le sang qu'on a fait couler, ou la chair de porc - car c'est une souillure - ou ce qui, par perversité, a été sacrifié à autre qu'Allah». Quiconque est contraint, sans toutefois abuser ou transgresser, ton Seigneur est certes Pardonneur et Miséricordieux

Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure - or it be [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful

وَعَلَى اَ۬لذِينَ هَادُواْ حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِے ظُفُرٖ وَمِنَ اَ۬لْبَقَرِ وَالْغَنَمِۖ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ شُحُومَهُمَآ إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَت ظُّهُورُهُمَآ أَوِ اِ۬لْحَوَاي۪آ أَوْ مَا اَ۪خْتَلَطَ بِعَظْمٖۖ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَيْنَٰهُم بِبَغْيِهِمْۖ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَۖ ﲒ

Wa‘alâ lladhîna hâdû harramnâ kulla dhî zufurin wamina lbaqari walghanami harramnâ ‘alayhim shuhûmahumâ illâ mâ hamalat zuhûruhumâ awi lhawâyê aw mâ khtalata bi‘azmin dhâlika jazaynâhum bibaghyihim wa'innâ lasâdiqûn

Aux Juifs, Nous avons interdit toute bête à ongle unique. Des bovins et des ovins, Nous leurs avons interdit les graisses, sauf ce que portent leur dos, leurs entrailles, ou ce qui est mêlé à l'os. Ainsi les avons-Nous punis pour leur rébellion. Et Nous sommes bien véridiques

And to those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of uncloven hoof; and of the cattle and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone. [By] that We repaid them for their injustice. And indeed, We are truthful

فَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل رَّبُّكُمْ ذُو رَحْمَةٖ وَٰسِعَةٖۖ وَلَا يُرَدُّ بَأْسُهُۥ عَنِ اِ۬لْقَوْمِ اِ۬لْمُجْرِمِينَۖ ﲓ

Fa'in kadhdhabûka faqul rabbukum dhû rahmatin wâsi‘atin walâ yuraddu ba'suhû ‘ani lqawmi lmujrimîn

Puis, s'ils te traitent de menteur, alors dis: «Votre Seigneur est Détenteur d'une immense miséricorde cependant que Sa rigueur ne saura être détournée des gens criminels»

So if they deny you, [O Muhammad], say, "Your Lord is the possessor of vast mercy; but His punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals

سَيَقُولُ اُ۬لذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ لَوْ شَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُ مَآ أَشْرَكْنَا وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِن شَےْءٖۖ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ اَ۬لذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ ذَاقُواْ بَأْسَنَاۖ قُلْ هَلْ عِندَكُم مِّنْ عِلْمٖ فَتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَآۖ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا اَ۬لظَّنَّۖ وَإِنَ اَنتُمُۥٓ إِلَّا تَخْرُصُونَۖ ﲔ

Sayaqûlu lladhîna ashrakû law shâ'a llâhu mâ ashraknâ walâ âbâ'unâ walâ harramnâ min shay'in kadhâlika kadhdhaba lladhîna min qablihim hattâ dhâqû ba'sanâ qul hal ‘indakum min ‘ilmin fatukhrijûhu lanâ in tattabi‘ûna illâ zzanna wa'ina ntumû illâ takhrusûn

Ceux qui ont associé diront: «Si Allah avait voulu, nous ne Lui aurions pas donné des associés, nos ancêtres non plus et nous n'aurions rien déclaré interdit.» Ainsi leurs prédécesseurs traitaient de menteurs (les messagers) jusqu'à ce qu'ils eurent goûté Notre rigueur. Dis: «Avez-vous quelque science à nous produire? Vous ne suivez que la conjecture et ne faites que mentir»

Those who associated with Allah will say, "If Allah had willed, we would not have associated [anything] and neither would our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything." Likewise did those before deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow not except assumption, and you are not but falsifying

قُلْ فَلِلهِ اِ۬لْحُجَّةُ اُ۬لْبَٰلِغَةُۖ فَلَوْ شَآءَ لَهَد۪يٰكُمُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَۖ ﲕ

Qul falillâhi lhujjatu lbâlighatu falaw shâ'a lahadêkumû ajma‘în

Dis: «L'argument décisif appartient à Allah. S'Il avait voulu certainement Il vous aurait tous guidés. (sur le droit chemin)

Say, "With Allah is the far-reaching argument. If He had willed, He would have guided you all

قُلْ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَآءَكُمُ اُ۬لذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ حَرَّمَ هَٰذَاۖ فَإِن شَهِدُواْ فَلَا تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعَ اَهْوَآءَ اَ۬لذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَالذِينَ لَا يُومِنُونَ بِالَاخِرَةِ وَهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَۖ ﲖ

Qul halumma shuhadâ'akumu lladhîna yashhadûna anna llâha harrama hâdhâ fa'in shahidû falâ tashhad ma‘ahum walâ tattabi‘a hwâ'a lladhîna kadhdhabû bi'âyâtinâ walladhîna lâ yûminûna bilakhirati wahum birabbihim ya‘dilûn

Dis: «Amenez vos témoins qui attesteraient qu'Allah a interdit cela.» Si ensuite ils témoignent, alors toi, ne témoigne pas avec eux et ne suis pas les passions de ceux qui traitent de mensonges Nos signes et qui ne croient pas à l'au-delà, tandis qu'ils donnent des égaux à leur Seigneur

Say, [O Muhammad], "Bring forward your witnesses who will testify that Allah has prohibited this." And if they testify, do not testify with them. And do not follow the desires of those who deny Our verses and those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while they equate [others] with their Lord

۞ قُلْ تَعَالَوَاْ اَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَيْكُمُۥٓ أَلَّا تُشْرِكُواْ بِهِۦ شَئْاٗۖ وَبِالْوَٰلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَٰناٗۖ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوٓاْ أَوْلَٰدَكُم مِّنِ اِمْلَٰقٖۖ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ وَإِيَّاهُمْۖ وَلَا تَقْرَبُواْ اُ۬لْفَوَٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَۖ وَلَا تَقْتُلُواْ اُ۬لنَّفْسَ اَ۬لتِے حَرَّمَ اَ۬للَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّۖ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصّ۪يٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَۖ ﲗ

Qul ta‘âlawa tlu mâ harrama rabbukum ‘alaykumû allâ tushrikû bihî shay'an wabiâlwâlidayni ihsânan walâ taqtulû awlâdakum mini mlâqin nahnu narzuqukum wa'iyyâhum walâ taqrabû lfawâhisha mâ zahara minhâ wamâ batana walâ taqtulû nnafsa llatî harrama llâhu illâ bilhaqqi dhâlikum wassêkum bihî la‘allakum ta‘qilûn

Dis: «Venez, je vais réciter ce que votre Seigneur vous a interdit: ne Lui associez rien; et soyez bienfaisants envers vos père et mère. Ne tuez pas vos enfants pour cause de pauvreté. Nous vous nourrissons tout comme eux. N'approchez pas des turpitudes ouvertement, ou en cachette. Ne tuez qu'en toute justice la vie qu'Allah a fait sacrée. Voilà ce qu'[Allah] vous a recommandé de faire; peut-être comprendrez-vous

Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason

وَلَا تَقْرَبُواْ مَالَ اَ۬لْيَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِالتِے هِيَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّهُۥۖ وَأَوْفُواْ اُ۬لْكَيْلَ وَالْمِيزَانَ بِالْقِسْطِۖ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْساً اِلَّا وُسْعَهَاۖ وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَاعْدِلُواْ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْب۪ىٰۖ وَبِعَهْدِ اِ۬للَّهِ أَوْفُواْۖ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصّ۪يٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَّكَّرُونَۖ ﲘ

Walâ taqrabû mâla lyatîmi illâ billatî hiya ahsanu hattâ yablugha ashuddahû wa'awfû lkayla walmîzâna bilqisti lâ nukallifu nafsani llâ wus‘ahâ wa'idhâ qultum fa‘dilû walaw kâna dhâ qurbê wabi‘ahdi llâhi awfû dhâlikum wassêkum bihî la‘allakum tadhdhakkarûn

Et ne vous approchez des biens de l'orphelin que de la plus belle manière, jusqu'à ce qu'il ait atteint sa majorité. Et donnez la juste mesure et le bon poids, en toute justice. Nous n'imposons à une âme que selon sa capacité. Et quand vous parlez, soyez équitables même s'il s'agit d'un proche parent. Et remplissez votre engagement envers Allah. Voilà ce qu'Il vous enjoint. Peut-être vous rappellerez-vous

And do not approach the orphan's property except in a way that is best until he reaches maturity. And give full measure and weight in justice. We do not charge any soul except [with that within] its capacity. And when you testify, be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative. And the covenant of Allah fulfill. This has He instructed you that you may remember

وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطِے مُسْتَقِيماٗ فَاتَّبِعُوهُۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ اُ۬لسُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦۖ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصّ۪يٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَۖ ﲙ

Wa'anna hâdhâ sirâtî mustaqîman fattabi‘ûhu walâ tattabi‘û ssubula fatafarraqa bikum ‘an sabîlihî dhâlikum wassêkum bihî la‘allakum tattaqûn

«Et voilà Mon chemin dans toute sa rectitude, suivez-le donc; et ne suivez pas les sentiers qui vous écartent de Sa voie.» Voilà ce qu'Il vous enjoint. Ainsi atteindrez-vous la piété

And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way. This has He instructed you that you may become righteous

ثُمَّ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى اَ۬لْكِتَٰبَ تَمَاماً عَلَى اَ۬لذِےٓ أَحْسَنَ وَتَفْصِيلاٗ لِّكُلِّ شَےْءٖ وَهُدىٗ وَرَحْمَةٗ لَّعَلَّهُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّهِمْ يُومِنُونَۖ ﲚ

Thumma âtaynâ mûsâ lkitâba tamâman ‘alâ lladhî ahsana watafsîlal likulli shay'in wahudan warahmatal la‘allahum biliqâ'i rabbihim yûminûn

Puis Nous avons donné à Moïse le Livre complet en récompense pour le bien qu'il avait fait, et comme un exposé détaillé de toute chose, un guide et une miséricorde. Peut-être croiraient-ils en leur rencontre avec leur Seigneur (au jour du Jugement dernier)

Then We gave Moses the Scripture, making complete [Our favor] upon the one who did good and as a detailed explanation of all things and as guidance and mercy that perhaps in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord they would believe

وَهَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌ اَنزَلْنَٰهُ مُبَٰرَكٞ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَاتَّقُواْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ ﲛ

Wahâdhâ kitâbuna nzalnâhu mubârakun fattabi‘ûhu wattaqû la‘allakum turhamûn

Et voici un Livre (le Coran) béni que Nous avons fait descendre - suivez-le donc et soyez pieux, afin de recevoir la miséricorde

And this [Qur'an] is a Book We have revealed [which is] blessed, so follow it and fear Allah that you may receive mercy

أَن تَقُولُوٓاْ إِنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبُ عَلَىٰ طَآئِفَتَيْنِ مِن قَبْلِنَا وَإِن كُنَّا عَن دِرَاسَتِهِمْ لَغَٰفِلِينَ ﲜ

An taqûlû innamâ unzila lkitâbu ‘alâ tâ'ifatayni min qablinâ wa'in kunnâ ‘an dirâsatihim laghâfilîn

afin que vous ne disiez point: «On n'a fait descendre le Livre que sur deux peuples avant nous, et nous avons été inattentifs à les étudier

[We revealed it] lest you say, "The Scripture was only sent down to two groups before us, but we were of their study unaware

أَوْ تَقُولُواْ لَوَ اَنَّآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا اَ۬لْكِتَٰبُ لَكُنَّآ أَهْد۪ىٰ مِنْهُمْۖ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُم بَيِّنَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَهُدىٗ وَرَحْمَةٞۖ فَمَنَ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ اِ۬للَّهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنْهَاۖ سَنَجْزِے اِ۬لذِينَ يَصْدِفُونَ عَنَ اٰيَٰتِنَا سُوٓءَ اَ۬لْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصْدِفُونَۖ ﲝ

Aw taqûlû lawa nnâ unzila ‘alaynâ lkitâbu lakunnâ ahdê minhum faqad jâ'akum bayyinatum mir rabbikum wahudan warahmatun famana zlamu mimman kadhdhaba bi'âyâti llâhi wasadafa ‘anhâ sanajzî lladhîna yasdifûna ‘ana âyâtinâ sû'a l‘adhâbi bimâ kânû yasdifûn

Ou que vous disiez: «Si c'était à nous qu'on avait fait descendre le Livre, nous aurions certainement été mieux guidés qu'eux.» Voilà certes que vous sont venus, de votre Seigneur, preuve, guidée et miséricorde. Qui est plus injuste que celui qui traite de mensonges les versets d'Allah et qui s'en détourne? Nous punirons ceux qui se détournent de Nos versets, par un mauvais châtiment, pour s'en être détournés

Or lest you say, "If only the Scripture had been revealed to us, we would have been better guided than they." So there has [now] come to you a clear evidence from your Lord and a guidance and mercy. Then who is more unjust than one who denies the verses of Allah and turns away from them? We will recompense those who turn away from Our verses with the worst of punishment for their having turned away

۞ هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن تَاتِيَهُمُ اُ۬لْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ يَاتِيَ رَبُّكَ أَوْ يَاتِيَ بَعْضُ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّكَۖ يَوْمَ يَاتِے بَعْضُ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّكَ لَا يَنفَعُ نَفْساً اِيمَٰنُهَا لَمْ تَكُنَ اٰمَنَتْ مِن قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِےٓ إِيمَٰنِهَا خَيْراٗۖ قُلِ اِ۪نتَظِرُوٓاْۖ إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَۖ ﲞ

Hal yanzurûna illâ an tâtiyahumu lmalâ'ikatu aw yâtiya rabbuka aw yâtiya ba‘du âyâti rabbika yawma yâtî ba‘du âyâti rabbika lâ yanfa‘u nafsani ymânuhâ lam takuna âmanat min qablu aw kasabat fî îmânihâ khayran quli ntazirû innâ muntazirûn

Qu'attendent-ils? Que les Anges leur viennent? Que vienne ton Seigneur? Ou que viennent certains signes de ton Seigneur? Le jour où certains signes de ton Seigneur viendront, la foi en Lui ne profitera à aucune âme qui n'avait pas cru auparavant ou qui n'avait acquis aucun mérite de sa croyance. Dis: «Attendez!» Nous attendons, Nous aussi

Do they [then] wait for anything except that the angels should come to them or your Lord should come or that there come some of the signs of your Lord? The Day that some of the signs of your Lord will come no soul will benefit from its faith as long as it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good. Say, "Wait. Indeed, we [also] are waiting

إِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ فَرَّقُواْ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُواْ شِيَعاٗ لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِے شَےْءٍۖ اِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُمُۥٓ إِلَى اَ۬للَّهِۖ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْعَلُونَۖ ﲟ

Inna lladhîna farraqû dînahum wakânû shiya‘al lasta minhum fî shay'ini nnamâ amruhumû ilâ llâhi thumma yunabbî'uhum bimâ kânû yaf‘alûn

Ceux qui émiettent leur religion et se divisent en sectes, de ceux-là tu n'es responsable en rien: leur sort ne dépend que d'Allah. Puis Il les informera de ce qu'ils faisaient

Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do

مَن جَآءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَاۖ وَمَن جَآءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْز۪ىٰٓ إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَۖ ﲠ

Man jâ'a bilhasanati falahû ‘ashru amthâlihâ waman jâ'a bissayyî'ati falâ yujzê illâ mithlahâ wahum lâ yuzlamûn

Quiconque viendra avec le bien aura dix fois autant; et quiconque viendra avec le mal ne sera rétribué que par son équivalent. Et on ne leur fera aucune injustice

Whoever comes [on the Day of Judgement] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged

قُلِ اِنَّنِے هَد۪يٰنِے رَبِّيَ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسْتَقِيمٖۖ ﲡ

Quli nnanî hadênî rabbiya ilâ sirâtim mustaqîm

Dis: «Moi, mon Seigneur m'a guidé vers un chemin droit, une religion droite, la religion d'Abraham, le soumis exclusivement à Allah et qui n'était point parmi les associateurs

Say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path - a correct religion - the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth. And he was not among those who associated others with Allah

دِيناٗ قَيِّماٗ مِّلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفاٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُشْرِكِينَۖ ﲢ

Dînan qayyimam millata ibrâhîma hanîfan wamâ kâna mina lmushrikîn

قُلِ اِنَّ صَلَاتِے وَنُسُكِے وَمَحْي۪آےْ وَمَمَاتِيَ لِلهِ رَبِّ اِ۬لْعَٰلَمِينَ ﲣ

Quli nna salâtî wanusukî wamahyêy wamamâtiya lillâhi rabbi l‘âlamîn

Dis: «En vérité, ma Salât, mes actes de dévotion, ma vie et ma mort appartiennent à Allah, Seigneur de l'Univers

Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds

لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُۥۖ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُۖ وَأَنَآ أَوَّلُ اُ۬لْمُسْلِمِينَۖ ﲤ

Lâ sharîka lahû wabidhâlika umirtu wa'anâ awwalu lmuslimîn

A Lui nul associé! Et voilà ce qu'il m'a été ordonné, et je suis le premier à me soumettre.»

No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims

قُلَ اَغَيْرَ اَ۬للَّهِ أَبْغِے رَبّاٗ وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَےْءٖۖ وَلَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ اِلَّا عَلَيْهَاۖ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٞ وِزْرَ أُخْر۪ىٰۖ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَۖ ﲥ

Qula ghayra llâhi abghî rabban wahuwa rabbu kulli shay'in walâ taksibu kullu nafsini llâ ‘alayhâ walâ taziru wâziratun wizra ukhrê thumma ilâ rabbikum marji‘ukum fayunabbî'ukum bimâ kuntum fîhi takhtalifûn

Dis: «Chercherais-je un autre Seigneur qu'Allah, alors qu'Il est le Seigneur de toute chose? Chacun n'acquiert [le mal] qu'à son détriment: personne ne portera le fardeau (responsabilité) d'autrui. Puis vers votre Seigneur sera votre retour et Il vous informera de ce en quoi vous divergez

Say, "Is it other than Allah I should desire as a lord while He is the Lord of all things? And every soul earns not [blame] except against itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ

وَهُوَ اَ۬لذِے جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَ اَ۬لَارْضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٖ دَرَجَٰتٖ لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِے مَآ ءَات۪يٰكُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِيعُ اُ۬لْعِقَابِۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَغَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٌۖ ﲦ

Wahuwa lladhî ja‘alakum khalâ'ifa lardi warafa‘a ba‘dakum fawqa ba‘din darajâtil liyabluwakum fî mâ âtêkumû inna rabbaka sarî‘u l‘iqâbi wa'innahû laghafûrur rahîm

C'est Lui qui a fait de vous les successeurs sur terre et qui vous a élevés, en rangs, les uns au-dessus des autres, afin de vous éprouver en ce qu'Il vous a donné. (Vraiment) ton Seigneur est prompt en punition, Il est aussi Pardonneur et Miséricordieux

And it is He who has made you successors upon the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees [of rank] that He may try you through what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful
