يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّاسُ اُ۪تَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ اُ۬لذِے خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٖ وَٰحِدَةٖ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالاٗ كَثِيراٗ وَنِسَآءٗۖ وَاتَّقُواْ اُ۬للَّهَ اَ۬لذِے تَسَّآءَلُونَ بِهِۦ وَالَارْحَامَۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيباٗۖ ﰀ

Yâ'ayyuhâ nnâsu ttaqû rabbakumu lladhî khalaqakum min nafsin wâhidatin wakhalaqa minhâ zawjahâ wabaththa minhumâ rijâlan kathîran wanisâ'an wattaqû llâha lladhî tassâ'alûna bihî walarhâma inna llâha kâna ‘alaykum raqîbâ

O hommes! Craignez votre Seigneur qui vous a créés d'un seul être, et a créé de celui-ci son épouse, et qui de ces deux là a fait répandre (sur la terre) beaucoup d'hommes et de femmes. Craignez Allah au nom duquel vous vous implorez les uns les autres, et craignez de rompre les liens du sang. Certes Allah vous observe parfaitement

O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer

وَءَاتُواْ اُ۬لْيَتَٰم۪ىٰٓ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْۖ وَلَا تَتَبَدَّلُواْ اُ۬لْخَبِيثَ بِالطَّيِّبِۖ وَلَا تَاكُلُوٓاْ أَمْوَٰلَهُمُۥٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَمْوَٰلِكُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حُوباٗ كَبِيراٗۖ ﰁ

Wa'âtû lyatâmê amwâlahum walâ tatabaddalû lkhabîtha bittayyibi walâ tâkulû amwâlahumû ilâ amwâlikumû innahû kâna hûban kabîrâ

Et donnez aux orphelins leurs biens; n'y substituez pas le mauvais au bon. Ne mangez pas leurs biens avec les vôtres: c'est vraiment un grand péché

And give to the orphans their properties and do not substitute the defective [of your own] for the good [of theirs]. And do not consume their properties into your own. Indeed, that is ever a great sin

وَإِنْ خِفْتُمُۥٓ أَلَّا تُقْسِطُواْ فِے اِ۬لْيَتَٰم۪ىٰ فَانكِحُواْ مَا طَابَ لَكُم مِّنَ اَ۬لنِّسَآءِ مَثْن۪ىٰ وَثُلَٰثَ وَرُبَٰعَۖ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمُۥٓ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُواْ فَوَٰحِدَةً اَوْ مَا مَلَكَتَ اَيْمَٰنُكُمْۖ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْن۪ىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعُولُواْۖ ﰂ

Wa'in khiftumû allâ tuqsitû fî lyatâmê fânkihû mâ tâba lakum mina nnisâ'i mathnê wathulâtha warubâ‘a fa'in khiftumû allâ ta‘dilû fawâhidatana w mâ malakata ymânukum dhâlika adnê allâ ta‘ûlû

Et si vous craignez de n'être pas justes envers les orphelins,... Il est permis d'épouser deux, trois ou quatre, parmi les femmes qui vous plaisent, mais, si vous craignez de n'être pas justes avec celles-ci, alors une seule, ou des esclaves que vous possédez. Cela, afin de ne pas faire d'injustice (ou afin de ne pas aggraver votre charge de famille)

And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hand possesses. That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice]

وَءَاتُواْ اُ۬لنِّسَآءَ صَدُقَٰتِهِنَّ نِحْلَةٗۖ فَإِن طِبْنَ لَكُمْ عَن شَےْءٖ مِّنْهُ نَفْساٗ فَكُلُوهُۖ هَنِيٓـٔاٗ مَّرِيٓـٔاٗۖ ﰃ

Wa'âtû nnisâ'a saduqâtihinna nihlatan fa'in tibna lakum ‘an shay'im minhu nafsan fakulûhu hanî'am marî'â

Et donnez aux épouses leur mahr, de bonne grâce. Si de bon gré, elles vous en abandonnent quelque chose, disposez-en alors à votre aise et de bon cœur

And give the women [upon marriage] their [bridal] gifts graciously. But if they give up willingly to you anything of it, then take it in satisfaction and ease

وَلَا تُوتُواْ اُ۬لسُّفَهَآءَ امْوَٰلَكُمُ اُ۬لتِے جَعَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ لَكُمْ قِيَماٗۖ وَارْزُقُوهُمْ فِيهَا وَاكْسُوهُمْ وَقُولُواْ لَهُمْ قَوْلاٗ مَّعْرُوفاٗۖ ﰄ

Walâ tûtû ssufahâ'a âmwâlakumu llatî ja‘ala llâhu lakum qiyaman warzuqûhum fîhâ waksûhum waqûlû lahum qawlam ma‘rûfâ

Et ne confiez pas aux incapables vos biens dont Allah a fait votre subsistance. Mais prélevez-en, pour eux, nourriture et vêtement; et parlez-leur convenablement

And do not give the weak-minded your property, which Allah has made a means of sustenance for you, but provide for them with it and clothe them and speak to them words of appropriate kindness

۞ وَابْتَلُواْ اُ۬لْيَتَٰم۪ىٰ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغُواْ اُ۬لنِّكَاحَ فَإِنَ اٰنَسْتُم مِّنْهُمْ رُشْداٗ فَادْفَعُوٓاْ إِلَيْهِمُۥٓ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ وَلَا تَاكُلُوهَآ إِسْرَافاٗ وَبِدَاراً اَنْ يَّكْبَرُواْۖ وَمَن كَانَ غَنِيّاٗ فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْۖ وَمَن كَانَ فَقِيراٗ فَلْيَاكُلْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِۖ فَإِذَا دَفَعْتُمُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمُۥٓ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ فَأَشْهِدُواْ عَلَيْهِمْۖ وَكَف۪ىٰ بِاللَّهِ حَسِيباٗۖ ﰅ

Wabtalû lyatâmê hattâ idhâ balaghû nnikâha fa'ina ânastum minhum rushdan fadfa‘û ilayhimû amwâlahum walâ tâkulûhâ isrâfan wabidârana y yakbarû waman kâna ghaniyyan falyasta‘fif waman kâna faqîran falyâkul bilma‘rûfi fa'idhâ dafa‘tumû ilayhimû amwâlahum fa'ashhidû ‘alayhim wakafê billâhi hasîbâ

Et éprouvez (la capacité) des orphelins jusqu'à ce qu'ils atteignent (l'aptitude) au mariage; et si vous ressentez en eux une bonne conduite, remettez-leur leurs biens. Ne les utilisez pas (dans votre intérêt) avec gaspillage et dissipation, avant qu'ils ne grandissent. Quiconque est aisé, qu'il s'abstienne d'en prendre lui-même. S'il est pauvre, alors qu'il en utilise raisonnablement: et lorsque vous leur remettez leurs biens, prenez des témoins à leur encontre. Mais Allah suffit pour observer et compter

And test the orphans [in their abilities] until they reach marriageable age. Then if you perceive in them sound judgement, release their property to them. And do not consume it excessively and quickly, [anticipating] that they will grow up. And whoever, [when acting as guardian], is self-sufficient should refrain [from taking a fee]; and whoever is poor - let him take according to what is acceptable. Then when you release their property to them, bring witnesses upon them. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant

لِّلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٞ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ اَ۬لْوَٰلِدَٰنِ وَالَاقْرَبُونَ وَلِلنِّسَآءِ نَصِيبٞ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ اَ۬لْوَٰلِدَٰنِ وَالَاقْرَبُونَ مِمَّا قَلَّ مِنْهُ أَوْ كَثُرَۖ نَصِيباٗ مَّفْرُوضاٗۖ ﰆ

Lirrijâli nasîbum mimmâ taraka lwâlidâni walaqrabûna walilnnisâ'i nasîbum mimmâ taraka lwâlidâni walaqrabûna mimmâ qalla minhu aw kathura nasîbam mafrûdâ

Aux hommes revient une part de ce qu'ont laissé les père et mère ainsi que les proches; et aux femmes une part de ce qu'ont laissé les père et mère ainsi que les proches, que ce soit peu ou beaucoup: une part fixée

For men is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, and for women is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, be it little or much - an obligatory share

وَإِذَا حَضَرَ اَ۬لْقِسْمَةَ أُوْلُواْ اُ۬لْقُرْب۪ىٰ وَالْيَتَٰم۪ىٰ وَالْمَسَٰكِينُ فَارْزُقُوهُم مِّنْهُۖ وَقُولُواْ لَهُمْ قَوْلاٗ مَّعْرُوفاٗۖ ﰇ

Wa'idhâ hadara lqismata ulû lqurbê walyatâmê walmasâkînu farzuqûhum minhu waqûlû lahum qawlam ma‘rûfâ

Et lorsque les proches parents, les orphelins, les nécessiteux assistent au partage, offrez-leur quelque chose de l'héritage, et parlez-leur convenablement

And when [other] relatives and orphans and the needy are present at the [time of] division, then provide for them [something] out of the estate and speak to them words of appropriate kindness

وَلْيَخْشَ اَ۬لذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُواْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةٗ ضِعَٰفاً خَافُواْ عَلَيْهِمْۖ فَلْيَتَّقُواْ اُ۬للَّهَ وَلْيَقُولُواْ قَوْلاٗ سَدِيداًۖ ﰈ

Walyakhsha lladhîna law tarakû min khalfihim dhurriyyatan di‘âfan khâfû ‘alayhim falyattaqû llâha walyaqûlû qawlan sadîdâ

Que la crainte saisisse ceux qui laisseraient après eux une descendance faible, et qui seraient inquiets à leur sujet; qu'ils redoutent donc Allah et qu'ils prononcent des paroles justes

And let those [executors and guardians] fear [injustice] as if they [themselves] had left weak offspring behind and feared for them. So let them fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice

اِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ يَاكُلُونَ أَمْوَٰلَ اَ۬لْيَتَٰم۪ىٰ ظُلْماً اِنَّمَا يَاكُلُونَ فِے بُطُونِهِمْ نَاراٗۖ وَسَيَصْلَوْنَ سَعِيراٗۖ ﰉ

Inna lladhîna yâkulûna amwâla lyatâmê zulmani nnamâ yâkulûna fî butûnihim nâran wasayaslawna sa‘îrâ

Ceux qui mangent [disposent] injustement des biens des orphelins ne font que manger du feu dans leurs ventres. Ils brûleront bientôt dans les flammes de l'Enfer

Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are only consuming into their bellies fire. And they will be burned in a Blaze

۞ يُوصِيكُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ فِےٓ أَوْلَٰدِكُمْۖ لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ اِ۬لُانثَيَيْنِۖ فَإِن كُنَّ نِسَآءٗ فَوْقَ اَ۪ثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَۖ وَإِن كَانَتْ وَٰحِدَةٞ فَلَهَا اَ۬لنِّصْفُۖ وَلِأَبَوَيْهِ لِكُلِّ وَٰحِدٖ مِّنْهُمَا اَ۬لسُّدُسُ مِمَّا تَرَكَ إِن كَانَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٞۖ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ وَلَدٞ وَوَرِثَهُۥٓ أَبَوَٰهُ فَلِأُمِّهِ اِ۬لثُّلُثُۖ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُۥٓ إِخْوَةٞ فَلِأُمِّهِ اِ۬لسُّدُسُۖ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٖ يُوصِے بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍۖ اٰبَآؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ أَيُّهُمُۥٓ أَقْرَبُ لَكُمْ نَفْعاٗۖ فَرِيضَةٗ مِّنَ اَ۬للَّهِۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيماً حَكِيماٗۖ ﰊ

Yûsîkumu llâhu fî awlâdikum lidhdhakari mithlu hazzi lunthayayni fa'in kunna nisâ'an fawqa thnatayni falahunna thuluthâ mâ taraka wa'in kânat wâhidatun falahâ nnisfu wali'abawayhi likulli wâhidim minhumâ ssudusu mimmâ taraka in kâna lahû waladun fa'il lam yakul lahû waladun wawarithahû abawâhu fali'ummihi ththuluthu fa'in kâna lahû ikhwatun fali'ummihi ssudusu mim ba‘di wasiyyatin yûsî bihâ aw daynin âbâ'ukum wa'abnâ'ukum lâ tadrûna ayyuhumû aqrabu lakum naf‘an farîdatam mina llâhi inna llâha kâna ‘alîman hakîmâ

Voici ce qu'Allah vous enjoint au sujet de vos enfants: au fils, une part équivalente à celle de deux filles. S'il n'y a que des filles, même plus de deux, à elles alors deux tiers de ce que le défunt laisse. Et s'il n'y en a qu'une, à elle alors la moitié. Quant aux père et mère du défunt, à chacun d'eux le sixième de ce qu'il laisse, s'il a un enfant. S'il n'a pas d'enfant et que ses père et mère héritent de lui, à sa mère alors le tiers. Mais s'il a des frères, à la mère alors le sixième, après exécution du testament qu'il aurait fait ou paiement d'une dette. De vos ascendants ou descendants, vous ne savez pas qui est plus près de vous en utilité. Ceci est un ordre obligatoire de la part d'Allah, car Allah est, certes, Omniscient et Sage

Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females. But if there are [only] daughters, two or more, for them is two thirds of one's estate. And if there is only one, for her is half. And for one's parents, to each one of them is a sixth of his estate if he left children. But if he had no children and the parents [alone] inherit from him, then for his mother is one third. And if he had brothers [or sisters], for his mother is a sixth, after any bequest he [may have] made or debt. Your parents or your children - you know not which of them are nearest to you in benefit. [These shares are] an obligation [imposed] by Allah. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise

وَلَكُمْ نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ أَزْوَٰجُكُمُۥٓ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُنَّ وَلَدٞۖ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُنَّ وَلَدٞ فَلَكُمُ اُ۬لرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٖ يُوصِينَ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٖۖ وَلَهُنَّ اَ۬لرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمُۥٓ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّكُمْ وَلَدٞۖ فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ وَلَدٞ فَلَهُنَّ اَ۬لثُّمُنُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٖ تُوصُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٖۖ وَإِن كَانَ رَجُلٞ يُورَثُ كَلَٰلَةً اَوِ اِ۪مْرَأَةٞ وَلَهُۥٓ أَخٌ اَوُ ا۟خْتٞ فَلِكُلِّ وَٰحِدٖ مِّنْهُمَا اَ۬لسُّدُسُۖ فَإِن كَانُوٓاْ أَكْثَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فِے اِ۬لثُّلُثِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٖ يُوصِے بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ غَيْرَ مُضَآرّٖۖ وَصِيَّةٗ مِّنَ اَ۬للَّهِۖ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٞۖ ﰋ

Walakum nisfu mâ taraka azwâjukumû il lam yakul lahunna waladun fa'in kâna lahunna waladun falakumu rrubu‘u mimmâ tarakna mim ba‘di wasiyyatin yûsîna bihâ aw daynin walahunna rrubu‘u mimmâ taraktumû il lam yakul lakum waladun fa'in kâna lakum waladun falahunna ththumunu mimmâ taraktum mim ba‘di wasiyyatin tûsûna bihâ aw daynin wa'in kâna rajulun yûrathu kalâlatana wi mra'atun walahû akhuna wu ukhtun falikulli wâhidim minhumâ ssudusu fa'in kânû akthara min dhâlika fahum shurakâ'u fî ththuluthi mim ba‘di wasiyyatin yûsî bihâ aw daynin ghayra mudârrin wasiyyatam mina llâhi wallâhu ‘alîmun halîm

Et à vous la moitié de ce que laissent vos épouses, si elles n'ont pas d'enfants. Si elles ont un enfant, alors à vous le quart de ce qu'elles laissent, après exécution du testament qu'elles auraient fait ou paiement d'une dette. Et à elles un quart de ce que vous laissez, si vous n'avez pas d'enfant. Mais si vous avez un enfant, à elles alors le huitième de ce que vous laissez après exécution du testament que vous auriez fait ou paiement d'une dette. Et si un homme, ou une femme meurt sans héritier direct, cependant qu'il laisse un frère ou une sœur, à chacun de ceux-ci alors, un sixième. S'ils sont plus de deux, tous alors participeront au tiers, après exécution du testament ou paiement d'une dette, sans préjudice à quiconque. (Telle est l') Injonction d'Allah! Et Allah est Omniscient et Indulgent

And for you is half of what your wives leave if they have no child. But if they have a child, for you is one fourth of what they leave, after any bequest they [may have] made or debt. And for the wives is one fourth if you leave no child. But if you leave a child, then for them is an eighth of what you leave, after any bequest you [may have] made or debt. And if a man or woman leaves neither ascendants nor descendants but has a brother or a sister, then for each one of them is a sixth. But if they are more than two, they share a third, after any bequest which was made or debt, as long as there is no detriment [caused]. [This is] an ordinance from Allah, and Allah is Knowing and Forbearing

۞ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اُ۬للَّهِۖ وَمَنْ يُّطِعِ اِ۬للَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ نُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجْرِے مِن تَحْتِهَا اَ۬لَانْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۖ وَذَٰلِكَ اَ۬لْفَوْزُ اُ۬لْعَظِيمُۖ ﰌ

Tilka hudûdu llâhi wamay yuti‘i llâha warasûlahû nudkhilhu jannâtin tajrî min tahtihâ lanhâru khâlidîna fîhâ wadhâlika lfawzu l‘azîm

Tels sont les ordres d'Allah. Et quiconque obéit à Allah et à Son messager, Il le fera entrer dans les Jardins sous lesquels coulent les ruisseaux, pour y demeurer éternellement. Et voilà la grande réussite

These are the limits [set by] Allah, and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will be admitted by Him to gardens [in Paradise] under which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein; and that is the great attainment

وَمَنْ يَّعْصِ اِ۬للَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَهُۥ نُدْخِلْهُ نَاراً خَٰلِداٗ فِيهَاۖ وَلَهُۥ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞۖ ﰍ

Wamay ya‘si llâha warasûlahû wayata‘adda hudûdahû nudkhilhu nâran khâlidan fîhâ walahû ‘adhâbum muhîn

Et quiconque désobéit à Allah et à Son messager, et transgresse Ses ordres, Il le fera entrer au Feu pour y demeurer éternellement. Et celui-là aura un châtiment avilissant

And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger and transgresses His limits - He will put him into the Fire to abide eternally therein, and he will have a humiliating punishment

وَالتِے يَاتِينَ اَ۬لْفَٰحِشَةَ مِن نِّسَآئِكُمْ فَاسْتَشْهِدُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةٗ مِّنكُمْۖ فَإِن شَهِدُواْ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ فِے اِ۬لْبُيُوتِ حَتَّىٰ يَتَوَفّ۪يٰهُنَّ اَ۬لْمَوْتُ أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلاٗۖ ﰎ

Wallatî yâtîna lfâhishata min nisâ'ikum fastashhidû ‘alayhinna arba‘atam minkum fa'in shahidû fa'amsikûhunna fî lbuyûti hattâ yatawaffêhunna lmawtu aw yaj‘ala llâhu lahunna sabîlâ

Celles de vos femmes qui forniquent, faites témoigner à leur encontre quatre d'entre vous. S'ils témoignent, alors confinez ces femmes dans vos maisons jusqu'à ce que la mort les rappelle ou qu'Allah décrète un autre ordre à leur égard

Those who commit unlawful sexual intercourse of your women - bring against them four [witnesses] from among you. And if they testify, confine the guilty women to houses until death takes them or Allah ordains for them [another] way

وَالذَٰنِ يَاتِيَٰنِهَا مِنكُمْ فَـَٔاذُوهُمَاۖ فَإِن تَابَا وَأَصْلَحَا فَأَعْرِضُواْ عَنْهُمَآۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ تَوَّاباٗ رَّحِيماًۖ ﰏ

Walladhâni yâtiyânihâ minkum fa'âdhûhumâ fa'in tâbâ wa'aslahâ fa'a‘ridû ‘anhumâ inna llâha kâna tawwâbar rahîmâ

Les deux d'entre vous qui l'ont commise [la fornication], sévissez contre eux. S'ils se repentent ensuite et se réforment, alors laissez-les en paix. Allah demeure Accueillant au repentir et Miséricordieux

And the two who commit it among you, dishonor them both. But if they repent and correct themselves, leave them alone. Indeed, Allah is ever Accepting of repentance and Merciful

اِنَّمَا اَ۬لتَّوْبَةُ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ لِلذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ اَ۬لسُّوٓءَ بِجَهَٰلَةٖ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُونَ مِن قَرِيبٖۖ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يَتُوبُ اُ۬للَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلِيماً حَكِيماٗۖ ﰐ

Innamâ ttawbatu ‘alâ llâhi lilladhîna ya‘malûna ssû'a bijahâlatin thumma yatûbûna min qarîbin fa'ulâ'ika yatûbu llâhu ‘alayhim wakâna llâhu ‘alîman hakîmâ

Allah accueille seulement le repentir de ceux qui font le mal par ignorance et qui aussitôt se repentent. Voilà ceux de qui Allah accueille le repentir. Et Allah est Omniscient et Sage

The repentance accepted by Allah is only for those who do wrong in ignorance [or carelessness] and then repent soon after. It is those to whom Allah will turn in forgiveness, and Allah is ever Knowing and Wise

وَلَيْسَتِ اِ۬لتَّوْبَةُ لِلذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ اَ۬لسَّيِّـَٔاتِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَهُمُ اُ۬لْمَوْتُ قَالَ إِنِّے تُبْتُ اُ۬لَٰـنَ وَلَا اَ۬لذِينَ يَمُوتُونَ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌۖ ا۟وْلَٰٓئِكَ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَاباً اَلِيماٗۖ ﰑ

Walaysati ttawbatu lilladhîna ya‘malûna ssayyi'âti hattâ idhâ hadara ahadahumu lmawtu qâla innî tubtu lâna walâ lladhîna yamûtûna wahum kuffârun ulâ'ika a‘tadnâ lahum ‘adhâbana lîmâ

Mais l'absolution n'est point destinée à ceux qui font de mauvaises actions jusqu'au moment où la mort se présente à l'un d'eux, et qui s'écrie: «Certes, je me repens maintenant» - non plus pour ceux qui meurent mécréants. Et c'est pour eux que Nous avons préparé un châtiment douloureux

But repentance is not [accepted] of those who [continue to] do evil deeds up until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "Indeed, I have repented now," or of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful punishment

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمُۥٓ أَن تَرِثُواْ اُ۬لنِّسَآءَ كَرْهاٗۖ وَلَا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُواْ بِبَعْضِ مَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلَّآ أَنْ يَّاتِينَ بِفَٰحِشَةٖ مُّبَيِّنَةٖۖ ۞ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِۖ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَس۪ىٰٓ أَن تَكْرَهُواْ شَئْاٗ وَيَجْعَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ فِيهِ خَيْراٗ كَثِيراٗۖ ﰒ

Yâ'ayyuhâ lladhîna âmanû lâ yahillu lakumû an tarithû nnisâ'a karhan walâ ta‘dulûhunna litadhhabû biba‘di mâ âtaytumûhunna illâ ay yâtîna bifâhishatim mubayyinatin wa‘âshirûhunna bilma‘rûfi fa'in karihtumûhunna fa‘asê an takrahû shay'an wayaj‘ala llâhu fîhi khayran kathîrâ

O les croyants! Il ne vous est pas licite d'hériter des femmes contre leur gré. Ne les empêchez pas de se remarier dans le but de leur ravir une partie de ce que vous aviez donné, à moins qu'elles ne viennent à commettre un péché prouvé. Et comportez-vous convenablement envers elles. Si vous avez de l'aversion envers elles durant la vie commune, il se peut que vous ayez de l'aversion pour une chose où Allah a déposé un grand bien

O you who have believed, it is not lawful for you to inherit women by compulsion. And do not make difficulties for them in order to take [back] part of what you gave them unless they commit a clear immorality. And live with them in kindness. For if you dislike them - perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah makes therein much good

وَإِنَ اَرَدتُّمُ اُ۪سْتِبْدَالَ زَوْجٖ مَّكَانَ زَوْجٖ وَءَاتَيْتُمُۥٓ إِحْد۪يٰهُنَّ قِنطَاراٗ فَلَا تَاخُذُواْ مِنْهُ شَئْاًۖ اَتَاخُذُونَهُۥ بُهْتَٰناٗ وَإِثْماٗ مُّبِيناٗۖ ﰓ

Wa'ina radttumu stibdâla zawjim makâna zawjin wa'âtaytumû ihdêhunna qintâran falâ tâkhudhû minhu shay'ana tâkhudhûnahû buhtânan wa'ithmam mubînâ

Si vous voulez substituer une épouse à une autre, et que vous ayez donné à l'une un qintâr, n'en reprenez rien. Quoi! Le reprendriez-vous par injustice et péché manifeste

But if you want to replace one wife with another and you have given one of them a great amount [in gifts], do not take [back] from it anything. Would you take it in injustice and manifest sin

وَكَيْفَ تَاخُذُونَهُۥ وَقَدَ اَفْض۪ىٰ بَعْضُكُمُۥٓ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٖ وَأَخَذْنَ مِنكُم مِّيثَٰقاً غَلِيظاٗۖ ﰔ

Wakayfa tâkhudhûnahû waqada fdê ba‘dukumû ilâ ba‘din wa'akhadhna minkum mîthâqan ghalîzâ

Comment oseriez-vous le reprendre, après que l'union la plus intime vous ait associés l'un à l'autre et qu'elles aient obtenu de vous un engagement solennel

And how could you take it while you have gone in unto each other and they have taken from you a solemn covenant

وَلَا تَنكِحُواْ مَا نَكَحَ ءَابَآؤُكُم مِّنَ اَ۬لنِّسَآءِ الَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فَٰحِشَةٗ وَمَقْتاٗۖ وَسَآءَ سَبِيلاًۖ ﰕ

Walâ tankihû mâ nakaha âbâ'ukum mina nnisâ'i âllâ mâ qad salafa innahû kâna fâhishatan wamaqtan wasâ'a sabîlâ

Et n'épousez pas les femmes que vos pères ont épousées, exception faite pour le passé. C'est une turpitude, une abomination, et quelle mauvaise conduite

And do not marry those [women] whom your fathers married, except what has already occurred. Indeed, it was an immorality and hateful [to Allah] and was evil as a way

حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُۥٓ أُمَّهَٰتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَأَخَوَٰتُكُمْ وَعَمَّٰتُكُمْ وَخَٰلَٰتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُ اُ۬لَاخِ وَبَنَاتُ اُ۬لُاخْتِۖ وَأُمَّهَٰتُكُمُ اُ۬لتِےٓ أَرْضَعْنَكُمْ وَأَخَوَٰتُكُم مِّنَ اَ۬لرَّضَٰعَةِۖ وَأُمَّهَٰتُ نِسَآئِكُمْ وَرَبَٰٓئِبُكُمُ اُ۬لتِے فِے حُجُورِكُم مِّن نِّسَآئِكُمُ اُ۬لتِے دَخَلْتُم بِهِنَّۖ فَإِن لَّمْ تَكُونُواْ دَخَلْتُم بِهِنَّ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْۖ وَحَلَٰٓئِلُ أَبْنَآئِكُمُ اُ۬لذِينَ مِنَ اَصْلَٰبِكُمْۖ وَأَن تَجْمَعُواْ بَيْنَ اَ۬لُاخْتَيْنِ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ غَفُوراٗ رَّحِيماٗۖ ﰖ

Hurrimat ‘alaykumû ummahâtukum wabanâtukum wa'akhawâtukum wa‘ammâtukum wakhâlâtukum wabanâtu lakhi wabanâtu lukhti wa'ummahâtukumu llatî arda‘nakum wa'akhawâtukum mina rradâ‘ati wa'ummahâtu nisâ'ikum warabâ'ibukumu llatî fî hujûrikum min nisâ'ikumu llatî dakhaltum bihinna fa'il lam takûnû dakhaltum bihinna falâ junâha ‘alaykum wahalâ'ilu abnâ'ikumu lladhîna mina slâbikum wa'an tajma‘û bayna lukhtayni illâ mâ qad salafa inna llâha kâna ghafûrar rahîmâ

Vous sont interdites vos mères, filles, sœurs, tantes paternelles et tantes maternelles, filles d'un frère et filles d'une sœur, mères qui vous ont allaités, sœurs de lait, mères de vos femmes, belles-filles sous votre tutelle et issues des femmes avec qui vous avez consommé le mariage; si le mariage n'a pas été consommé, ceci n'est pas un péché de votre part; les femmes de vos fils nés de vos reins; de même que deux sœurs réunies - exception faite pour le passé. Car vraiment Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux

Prohibited to you [for marriage] are your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your father's sisters, your mother's sisters, your brother's daughters, your sister's daughters, your [milk] mothers who nursed you, your sisters through nursing, your wives' mothers, and your step-daughters under your guardianship [born] of your wives unto whom you have gone in. But if you have not gone in unto them, there is no sin upon you. And [also prohibited are] the wives of your sons who are from your [own] loins, and that you take [in marriage] two sisters simultaneously, except for what has already occurred. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful

۞ وَالْمُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ اَ۬لنِّسَآءِ الَّا مَا مَلَكَتَ اَيْمَٰنُكُمْۖ كِتَٰبَ اَ۬للَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْۖ وَأَحَلَّ لَكُم مَّا وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكُمُۥٓ أَن تَبْتَغُواْ بِأَمْوَٰلِكُم مُّحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَٰفِحِينَۖ فَمَا اَ۪سْتَمْتَعْتُم بِهِۦ مِنْهُنَّ فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةٗۖ وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا تَرَٰضَيْتُم بِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعْدِ اِ۬لْفَرِيضَةِۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيماً حَكِيماٗۖ ﰗ

Walmuhsanâtu mina nnisâ'i âllâ mâ malakata ymânukum kitâba llâhi ‘alaykum wa'ahalla lakum mâ warâ'a dhâlikumû an tabtaghû bi'amwâlikum muhsinîna ghayra musâfihîna famâ stamta‘tum bihî minhunna fa'âtûhunna ujûrahunna farîdatan walâ junâha ‘alaykum fîmâ tarâdaytum bihî mim ba‘di lfarîdati inna llâha kâna ‘alîman hakîmâ

et, parmi les femmes, les dames (qui ont un mari), sauf si elles sont vos esclaves en toute propriété. Prescription d'Allah sur vous! A part cela, il vous est permis de les rechercher, en vous servant de vos biens et en concluant mariage, non en débauchés. Puis, de même que vous jouissez d'elles, donnez-leur leur mahr comme une chose due. Il n'y a aucun péché contre vous à ce que vous concluez un accord quelconque entre vous après la fixation du mahr Car Allah est, certes, Omniscient et Sage

And [also prohibited to you are all] married women except those your right hands possess. [This is] the decree of Allah upon you. And lawful to you are [all others] beyond these, [provided] that you seek them [in marriage] with [gifts from] your property, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse. So for whatever you enjoy [of marriage] from them, give them their due compensation as an obligation. And there is no blame upon you for what you mutually agree to beyond the obligation. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise

وَمَن لَّمْ يَسْتَطِعْ مِنكُمْ طَوْلاً اَنْ يَّنكِحَ اَ۬لْمُحْصَنَٰتِ اِ۬لْمُومِنَٰتِ فَمِن مَّا مَلَكَتَ اَيْمَٰنُكُم مِّن فَتَيَٰتِكُمُ اُ۬لْمُومِنَٰتِۖ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيمَٰنِكُمۖ بَعْضُكُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٖۖ فَانكِحُوهُنَّ بِإِذْنِ أَهْلِهِنَّۖ وَءَاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ مُحْصَنَٰتٍ غَيْرَ مُسَٰفِحَٰتٖ وَلَا مُتَّخِذَٰتِ أَخْدَانٖۖ فَإِذَآ أُحْصِنَّ فَإِنَ اَتَيْنَ بِفَٰحِشَةٖ فَعَلَيْهِنَّ نِصْفُ مَا عَلَى اَ۬لْمُحْصَنَٰتِ مِنَ اَ۬لْعَذَابِۖ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ اَ۬لْعَنَتَ مِنكُمْۖ وَأَن تَصْبِرُواْ خَيْرٞ لَّكُمْۖ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞۖ ﰘ

Wamal lam yastati‘ minkum tawlana y yankiha lmuhsanâti lmûminâti famim mâ malakata ymânukum min fatayâtikumu lmûminâti wallâhu a‘lamu bi'îmânikum ba‘dukum mim ba‘din fânkihûhunna bi'idhni ahlihinna wa'âtûhunna ujûrahunna bilma‘rûfi muhsanâtin ghayra musâfihâtin walâ muttakhidhâti akhdânin fa'idhâ uhsinna fa'ina tayna bifâhishatin fa‘alayhinna nisfu mâ ‘alâ lmuhsanâti mina l‘adhâbi dhâlika liman khashiya l‘anata minkum wa'an tasbirû khayrul lakum wallâhu ghafûrur rahîm

Et quiconque parmi vous n'a pas les moyens pour épouser des femmes libres (non esclaves) croyantes, eh bien (il peut épouser) une femme parmi celles de vos esclaves croyantes. Allah connaît mieux votre foi, car vous êtes les uns des autres (de la même religion). Et épousez-les avec l'autorisation de leurs maîtres (Waliy) et donnez-leur un mahr convenable; (épousez-les) étant vertueuses et non pas livrées à la débauche ni ayant des amants clandestins. Si, une fois engagées dans le mariage, elles commettent l'adultère, elles reçoivent la moitié du châtiment qui revient aux femmes libres (non esclaves) mariées. Ceci est autorisé à celui d'entre vous qui craint la débauche; mais ce serait mieux pour vous d'être endurant. Et Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux

And whoever among you cannot [find] the means to marry free, believing women, then [he may marry] from those whom your right hands possess of believing slave girls. And Allah is most knowing about your faith. You [believers] are of one another. So marry them with the permission of their people and give them their due compensation according to what is acceptable. [They should be] chaste, neither [of] those who commit unlawful intercourse randomly nor those who take [secret] lovers. But once they are sheltered in marriage, if they should commit adultery, then for them is half the punishment for free [unmarried] women. This [allowance] is for him among you who fears sin, but to be patient is better for you. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful

يُرِيدُ اُ۬للَّهُ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ سُنَنَ اَ۬لذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَيَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْۖ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٞۖ ﰙ

Yurîdu llâhu liyubayyina lakum wayahdiyakum sunana lladhîna min qablikum wayatûba ‘alaykum wallâhu ‘alîmun hakîm

Allah veut vous éclairer, vous montrer les voies des hommes d'avant vous, et aussi accueillir votre repentir. Et Allah est Omniscient et Sage

Allah wants to make clear to you [the lawful from the unlawful] and guide you to the [good] practices of those before you and to accept your repentance. And Allah is Knowing and Wise

وَاللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَّتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْۖ وَيُرِيدُ اُ۬لذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ اَ۬لشَّهَوَٰتِ أَن تَمِيلُواْ مَيْلاً عَظِيماٗۖ ﰚ

Wallâhu yurîdu ay yatûba ‘alaykum wayurîdu lladhîna yattabi‘ûna shshahawâti an tamîlû maylan ‘azîmâ

Et Allah veut accueillir votre repentir. Mais ceux qui suivent les passions veulent que vous vous incliniez grandement (vers l'erreur comme ils le font)

Allah wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] passions want you to digress [into] a great deviation

يُرِيدُ اُ۬للَّهُ أَنْ يُّخَفِّفَ عَنكُمْۖ وَخُلِقَ اَ۬لِانسَٰنُ ضَعِيفاٗۖ ﰛ

Yurîdu llâhu ay yukhaffifa ‘ankum wakhuliqa linsânu da‘îfâ

Allah veut vous alléger (les obligations,) car l'homme a été créé faible

And Allah wants to lighten for you [your difficulties]; and mankind was created weak

۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَاكُلُوٓاْ أَمْوَٰلَكُم بَيْنَكُم بِالْبَٰطِلِۖ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ تِجَٰرَةٌ عَن تَرَاضٖ مِّنكُمْۖ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيماٗۖ ﰜ

Yâ'ayyuhâ lladhîna âmanû lâ tâkulû amwâlakum baynakum bilbâtili illâ an takûna tijâratun ‘an tarâdim minkum walâ taqtulû anfusakumû inna llâha kâna bikum rahîmâ

O les croyants! Que les uns d'entre vous ne mangent pas les biens des autres illégalement. Mais qu'il y ait du négoce (légal), entre vous, par consentement mutuel. Et ne vous tuez pas vous-mêmes. Allah, en vérité, est Miséricordieux envers vous

O you who have believed, do not consume one another's wealth unjustly but only [in lawful] business by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful

وَمَنْ يَّفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ عُدْوَٰناٗ وَظُلْماٗ فَسَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِ نَاراٗۖ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ يَسِيراًۖ ﰝ

Wamay yaf‘al dhâlika ‘udwânan wazulman fasawfa nuslîhi nâran wakâna dhâlika ‘alâ llâhi yasîrâ

Et quiconque commet cela, par excès et par iniquité, Nous le jetterons au Feu, voilà qui est facile pour Allah

And whoever does that in aggression and injustice - then We will drive him into a Fire. And that, for Allah, is [always] easy

اِن تَجْتَنِبُواْ كَبَآئِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُم مَّدْخَلاٗ كَرِيماٗۖ ﰞ

In tajtanibû kabâ'ira mâ tunhawna ‘anhu nukaffir ‘ankum sayyi'âtikum wanudkhilkum madkhalan karîmâ

Si vous évitez les grands péchés qui vous sont interdits, Nous effacerons vos méfaits de votre compte, et Nous vous ferons entrer dans un endroit honorable (le Paradis)

If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance [into Paradise]

وَلَا تَتَمَنَّوْاْ مَا فَضَّلَ اَ۬للَّهُ بِهِۦ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٖۖ لِّلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٞ مِّمَّا اَ۪كْتَسَبُواْۖ وَلِلنِّسَآءِ نَصِيبٞ مِّمَّا اَ۪كْتَسَبْنَۖ وَسْـَٔلُواْ اُ۬للَّهَ مِن فَضْلِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَےْءٍ عَلِيماٗۖ ﰟ

Walâ tatamannaw mâ faddala llâhu bihî ba‘dakum ‘alâ ba‘dil lirrijâli nasîbum mimmâ ktasabû walilnnisâ'i nasîbum mimmâ ktasabna was'alû llâha min fadlihî inna llâha kâna bikulli shay'in ‘alîmâ

Ne convoitez pas ce qu'Allah a attribué aux uns d'entre vous plus qu'aux autres; aux hommes la part qu'ils ont acquise, et aux femmes la part qu'elles ont acquise. Demandez à Allah de Sa grâce. Car Allah, certes, est Omniscient

And do not wish for that by which Allah has made some of you exceed others. For men is a share of what they have earned, and for women is a share of what they have earned. And ask Allah of his bounty. Indeed Allah is ever, of all things, Knowing

وَلِكُلّٖ جَعَلْنَا مَوَٰلِيَ مِمَّا تَرَكَۖ اَ۬لْوَٰلِدَٰنِ وَالَاقْرَبُونَۖ وَالذِينَ عَٰقَدَتَ اَيْمَٰنُكُمْ فَـَٔاتُوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَےْءٖ شَهِيداًۖ ﰠ

Walikullin ja‘alnâ mawâliya mimmâ taraka lwâlidâni walaqrabûna walladhîna ‘âqadata ymânukum fa'âtûhum nasîbahumû inna llâha kâna ‘alâ kulli shay'in shahîdâ

A tous Nous avons désigné des héritiers pour ce que leur laissent leurs père et mère, leurs proches parents, et ceux envers qui, de vos propres mains, vous vous êtes engagés, donnez leur donc leur part, car Allah, en vérité, est témoin de tout

And for all, We have made heirs to what is left by parents and relatives. And to those whom your oaths have bound [to you] - give them their share. Indeed Allah is ever, over all things, a Witness

اِ۬لرِّجَالُ قَوَّٰمُونَ عَلَى اَ۬لنِّسَآءِ بِمَا فَضَّلَ اَ۬للَّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٖ وَبِمَآ أَنفَقُواْ مِنَ اَمْوَٰلِهِمْۖ فَالصَّٰلِحَٰتُ قَٰنِتَٰتٌ حَٰفِظَٰتٞ لِّلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اَ۬للَّهُۖ وَالتِے تَخَافُونَ نُشُوزَهُنَّ فَعِظُوهُنَّ وَاهْجُرُوهُنَّ فِے اِ۬لْمَضَاجِعِ وَاضْرِبُوهُنَّۖ فَإِنَ اَطَعْنَكُمْ فَلَا تَبْغُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّ سَبِيلاًۖ اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيّاٗ كَبِيراٗۖ ﰡ

Arrijâlu qawwâmûna ‘alâ nnisâ'i bimâ faddala llâhu ba‘dahum ‘alâ ba‘din wabimâ anfaqû mina mwâlihim fassâlihâtu qânitâtun hâfizâtul lilghaybi bimâ hafiza llâhu wallatî takhâfûna nushûzahunna fa‘izûhunna wahjurûhunna fî lmadâji‘i wadribûhunna fa'ina ta‘nakum falâ tabghû ‘alayhinna sabîlani nna llâha kâna ‘aliyyan kabîrâ

Les hommes ont autorité sur les femmes, en raison des faveurs qu'Allah accorde à ceux-là sur celles-ci, et aussi à cause des dépenses qu'ils font de leurs biens. Les femmes vertueuses sont obéissantes (à leurs maris), et protègent ce qui doit être protégé, pendant l'absence de leurs époux, avec la protection d'Allah. Et quant à celles dont vous craignez la désobéissance, exhortez-les, éloignez-vous d'elles dans leurs lits et frappez-les. Si elles arrivent à vous obéir, alors ne cherchez plus de voie contre elles, car Allah est certes, Haut et Grand

Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand

وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقَ بَيْنِهِمَا فَابْعَثُواْ حَكَماٗ مِّنَ اَهْلِهِۦ وَحَكَماٗ مِّنَ اَهْلِهَآ إِنْ يُّرِيدَآ إِصْلَٰحاٗ يُوَفِّقِ اِ۬للَّهُ بَيْنَهُمَآۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيماً خَبِيراٗۖ ﰢ

Wa'in khiftum shiqâqa baynihimâ fab‘athû hakamam mina hlihî wahakamam mina hlihâ iy yurîdâ islâhan yuwaffiqi llâhu baynahumâ inna llâha kâna ‘alîman khabîrâ

Si vous craignez le désaccord entre les deux [époux], envoyez alors un arbitre de sa famille à lui, et un arbitre de sa famille à elle. Si les deux veulent la réconciliation, Allah rétablira l'entente entre eux. Allah est certes, Omniscient et Parfaitement Connaisseur

And if you fear dissension between the two, send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people. If they both desire reconciliation, Allah will cause it between them. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Acquainted [with all things]

۞ وَاعْبُدُواْ اُ۬للَّهَۖ وَلَا تُشْرِكُواْ بِهِۦ شَئْاٗۖ وَبِالْوَٰلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَٰناٗ وَبِذِے اِ۬لْقُرْب۪ىٰ وَالْيَتَٰم۪ىٰ وَالْمَسَٰكِينِ وَالْج۪ارِ ذِے اِ۬لْقُرْب۪ىٰ وَالْج۪ارِ اِ۬لْجُنُبِ وَالصَّٰحِبِ بِالْجَنۢبِ وَابْنِ اِ۬لسَّبِيلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتَ اَيْمَٰنُكُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالاٗ فَخُوراًۖ ﰣ

Wa‘budû llâha walâ tushrikû bihî shay'an wabiâlwâlidayni ihsânan wabidhî lqurbê walyatâmê walmasâkîni waljêri dhî lqurbê waljêri ljunubi wassâhibi biljambi wabni ssabîli wamâ malakata ymânukumû inna llâha lâ yuhibbu man kâna mukhtâlan fakhûrâ

Adorez Allah et ne Lui donnez aucun associé. Agissez avec bonté envers (vos) père et mère, les proches, les orphelins, les pauvres, le proche voisin, le voisin lointain, le collègue et le voyageur, et les esclaves en votre possession, car Allah n'aime pas, en vérité, le présomptueux, l'arrogant

Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful

اِ۬لذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَامُرُونَ اَ۬لنَّاسَ بِالْبُخْلِ وَيَكْتُمُونَ مَآ ءَات۪يٰهُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكٰ۪فِرِينَ عَذَاباٗ مُّهِيناٗۖ ﰤ

Alladhîna yabkhalûna wayâmurûna nnâsa bilbukhli wayaktumûna mâ âtêhumu llâhu min fadlihî wa'a‘tadnâ lilkêfirîna ‘adhâbam muhînâ

Ceux qui sont avares et ordonnent l'avarice aux autres, et cachent ce qu'Allah leur a donné de par Sa grâce. Nous avons préparé un châtiment avilissant pour les mécréants

Who are stingy and enjoin upon [other] people stinginess and conceal what Allah has given them of His bounty - and We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment

وَالذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ رِئَآءَ اَ۬لنَّاسِ وَلَا يُومِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ اِ۬لَاخِرِۖ وَمَنْ يَّكُنِ اِ۬لشَّيْطَٰنُ لَهُۥ قَرِيناٗ فَسَآءَ قَرِيناٗۖ ﰥ

Walladhîna yunfiqûna amwâlahum rî'â'a nnâsi walâ yûminûna billâhi walâ bilyawmi lakhiri wamay yakuni shshaytânu lahû qarînan fasâ'a qarînâ

Et ceux qui dépensent leurs biens avec ostentation devant les gens, et ne croient ni en Allah ni au Jour dernier. Quiconque a le Diable pour camarade inséparable, quel mauvais camarade

And [also] those who spend of their wealth to be seen by the people and believe not in Allah nor in the Last Day. And he to whom Satan is a companion - then evil is he as a companion

وَمَاذَا عَلَيْهِمْ لَوَ اٰمَنُواْ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ اِ۬لَاخِرِ وَأَنفَقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَهُمُ اُ۬للَّهُۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ بِهِمْ عَلِيماًۖ ﰦ

Wamâdhâ ‘alayhim lawa âmanû billâhi walyawmi lakhiri wa'anfaqû mimmâ razaqahumu llâhu wakâna llâhu bihim ‘alîmâ

Qu'auraient-ils à se reprocher s'ils avaient cru en Allah et au Jour dernier et dépensé (dans l'obéissance) de ce qu'Allah leur a attribué? Allah, d'eux, est Omniscient

And what [harm would come] upon them if they believed in Allah and the Last Day and spent out of what Allah provided for them? And Allah is ever, about them, Knowing

اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٖۖ وَإِن تَكُ حَسَنَةٞ يُضَٰعِفْهَا وَيُوتِ مِن لَّدُنْهُ أَجْراً عَظِيماٗۖ ﰧ

Inna llâha lâ yazlimu mithqâla dharratin wa'in taku hasanatun yudâ‘ifhâ wayûti mil ladunhu ajran ‘azîmâ

Certes, Allah ne lèse (personne), fût-ce du poids d'un atome. S'il est une bonne action, Il la double, et accorde une grosse récompense de Sa part

Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight; while if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward

فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةِۢ بِشَهِيدٖ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ شَهِيداٗۖ ﰨ

Fakayfa idhâ jî'nâ min kulli ummatim bishahîdin wajî'nâ bika ‘alâ hâ'ulâ'i shahîdâ

Comment seront-ils quand Nous ferons venir de chaque communauté un témoin, et que Nous te (Muhammad) ferons venir comme témoin contre ces gens-ci

So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness and we bring you, [O Muhammad] against these [people] as a witness

يَوْمَئِذٖ يَوَدُّ اُ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَعَصَوُاْ اُ۬لرَّسُولَ لَوْ تَسَّوّ۪ىٰ بِهِمُ اُ۬لَارْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُونَ اَ۬للَّهَ حَدِيثاٗۖ ﰩ

Yawma'idhin yawaddu lladhîna kafarû wa‘asawu rrasûla law tassawwê bihimu lardu walâ yaktumûna llâha hadîthâ

Ce jour-là, ceux qui n'ont pas cru et ont désobéi au Messager, préfèreraient que la terre fût nivelée sur eux et ils ne sauront cacher à Allah aucune parole

That Day, those who disbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger will wish they could be covered by the earth. And they will not conceal from Allah a [single] statement

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَقْرَبُواْ اُ۬لصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنتُمْ سُكَٰر۪ىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَعْلَمُواْ مَا تَقُولُونَ وَلَا جُنُباً اِلَّا عَابِرِے سَبِيلٍ حَتَّىٰ تَغْتَسِلُواْۖ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْض۪ىٰٓ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ اَوْ جَآءَ احَدٞ مِّنكُم مِّنَ اَ۬لْغَآئِطِ أَوْ لَٰمَسْتُمُ اُ۬لنِّسَآءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُواْ مَآءٗ فَتَيَمَّمُواْ صَعِيداٗ طَيِّباٗ فَامْسَحُواْ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوّاً غَفُوراًۖ ﰪ

Yâ'ayyuhâ lladhîna âmanû lâ taqrabû ssalawâta wa'antum sukârê hattâ ta‘lamû mâ taqûlûna walâ junubani llâ ‘âbirî sabîlin hattâ taghtasilû wa'in kuntum mardê aw ‘alâ safarina w jâ'a âhadum minkum mina lghâ'iti aw lâmastumu nnisâ'a falam tajidû mâ'an fatayammamû sa‘îdan tayyiban famsahû biwujûhikum wa'aydîkumû inna llâha kâna ‘afuwwan ghafûrâ

O les croyants! N'approchez pas de la Salât alors que vous êtes ivres jusqu'à ce que vous compreniez ce que vous dites, et aussi quand vous êtes en état d'impureté [pollués] - à moins que vous ne soyez en voyage - jusqu'à ce que vous ayez pris un bain rituel. Si vous êtes malades ou en voyage, ou si l'un de vous revient du lieu où il a fait ses besoins, ou si vous avez touché à des femmes et que vous ne trouviez pas d'eau, alors recourez à une terre pure, et passez-vous-en sur vos visages et sur vos mains. Allah, en vérité, est Indulgent et Pardonneur

O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying or in a state of janabah, except those passing through [a place of prayer], until you have washed [your whole body]. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and find no water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands [with it]. Indeed, Allah is ever Pardoning and Forgiving

اَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى اَ۬لذِينَ أُوتُواْ نَصِيباٗ مِّنَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبِ يَشْتَرُونَ اَ۬لضَّلَٰلَةَ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن تَضِلُّواْ اُ۬لسَّبِيلَۖ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِأَعْدَآئِكُمْۖ وَكَف۪ىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَلِيّاٗ وَكَف۪ىٰ بِاللَّهِ نَصِيراٗۖ ﰫ

Alam tara ilâ lladhîna ûtû nasîbam mina lkitâbi yashtarûna ddalâlata wayurîdûna an tadillû ssabîla wallâhu a‘lamu bi'a‘dâ'ikum wakafê billâhi waliyyan wakafê billâhi nasîrâ

N'as-tu (Muhammad) pas vu ceux qui ont reçu une partie du Livre acheter l'égarement et chercher à ce que vous vous égariez du [droit] chemin Allah connaît mieux vos ennemis. Et Allah suffit comme protecteur. Et Allah suffit comme secoureur

Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, purchasing error [in exchange for it] and wishing you would lose the way And Allah is most knowing of your enemies; and sufficient is Allah as an ally, and sufficient is Allah as a helper

۞ مِّنَ اَ۬لذِينَ هَادُواْ يُحَرِّفُونَ اَ۬لْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ وَيَقُولُونَ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَاسْمَعْ غَيْرَ مُسْمَعٖ وَرَٰعِنَا لَيّاَۢ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ وَطَعْناٗ فِے اِ۬لدِّينِۖ وَلَوَ اَنَّهُمْ قَالُواْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَاسْمَعْ وَانظُرْنَا لَكَانَ خَيْراٗ لَّهُمْ وَأَقْوَمَۖ وَلَٰكِن لَّعَنَهُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُومِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلاٗۖ ﰬ

Mina lladhîna hâdû yuharrifûna lkalima ‘am mawâdi‘ihî wayaqûlûna sami‘nâ wa‘asaynâ wasma‘ ghayra musma‘in warâ‘inâ layyam bi'alsinatihim wata‘nan fî ddîni walawa nnahum qâlû sami‘nâ wa'ata‘nâ wasma‘ wânzurnâ lakâna khayral lahum wa'aqwama walâkil la‘anahumu llâhu bikufrihim falâ yûminûna illâ qalîlâ

Il en est parmi les Juifs qui détournent les mots de leur sens, et disent: «Nous avions entendu, mais nous avons désobéi», «Ecoute sans qu'il te soit donné d'entendre», et favorise nous «Ra'inâ», tordant la langue et attaquant la religion. Si au contraire ils disaient: «Nous avons entendu et nous avons obéi», «Ecoute», et «Regarde-nous», ce serait meilleur pour eux, et plus droit. Mais Allah les a maudits à cause de leur mécréance; leur foi est donc bien médiocre

Among the Jews are those who distort words from their [proper] usages and say, "We hear and disobey" and "Hear but be not heard" and "Ra'ina," twisting their tongues and defaming the religion. And if they had said [instead], "We hear and obey" and "Wait for us [to understand]," it would have been better for them and more suitable. But Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لذِينَ أُوتُواْ اُ۬لْكِتَٰبَ ءَامِنُواْ بِمَا نَزَّلْنَا مُصَدِّقاٗ لِّمَا مَعَكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن نَّطْمِسَ وُجُوهاٗ فَنَرُدَّهَا عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبٰ۪رِهَآ أَوْ نَلْعَنَهُمْ كَمَا لَعَنَّآ أَصْحَٰبَ اَ۬لسَّبْتِۖ وَكَانَ أَمْرُ اُ۬للَّهِ مَفْعُولاًۖ ﰭ

Yâ'ayyuhâ lladhîna ûtû lkitâba âminû bimâ nazzalnâ musaddiqal limâ ma‘akum min qabli an natmisa wujûhan fanaruddahâ ‘alâ adbêrihâ aw nal‘anahum kamâ la‘annâ ashâba ssabti wakâna amru llâhi maf‘ûlâ

O vous à qui on a donné le Livre, croyez à ce que Nous avons fait descendre, en confirmation de ce que vous aviez déjà, avant que Nous effacions des visages et les retournions sens devant derrière, ou que Nous les maudissions comme Nous avons maudit les gens du Sabbat. Car le commandement d'Allah est toujours exécuté

O you who were given the Scripture, believe in what We have sent down [to Muhammad], confirming that which is with you, before We obliterate faces and turn them toward their backs or curse them as We cursed the sabbath-breakers. And ever is the decree of Allah accomplished

اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُّشْرَكَ بِهِۦۖ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ يَّشَآءُۖ وَمَنْ يُّشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدِ اِ۪فْتَر۪ىٰٓ إِثْماً عَظِيماًۖ ﰮ

Inna llâha lâ yaghfiru ay yushraka bihî wayaghfiru mâ dûna dhâlika limay yashâ'u wamay yushrik billâhi faqadi ftarê ithman ‘azîmâ

Certes Allah ne pardonne pas qu'on Lui donne quelqu'associé. A part cela, Il pardonne à qui Il veut. Mais quiconque donne à Allah quelqu'associé commet un énorme péché

Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin

اَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى اَ۬لذِينَ يُزَكُّونَ أَنفُسَهُمۖ بَلِ اِ۬للَّهُ يُزَكِّے مَنْ يَّشَآءُۖ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلاًۖ ﰯ

Alam tara ilâ lladhîna yuzakkûna anfusahum bali llâhu yuzakkî may yashâ'u walâ yuzlamûna fatîlâ

N'as-tu pas vu ceux-là qui se déclarent purs? Mais c'est Allah qui purifie qui Il veut; et ils ne seront point lésés, fût-ce d'un brin de noyau de datte

Have you not seen those who claim themselves to be pure? Rather, Allah purifies whom He wills, and injustice is not done to them, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed]

اُ۟نظُرْ كَيْفَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لْكَذِبَ وَكَف۪ىٰ بِهِۦٓ إِثْماٗ مُّبِيناًۖ ﰰ

Unzur kayfa yaftarûna ‘alâ llâhi lkadhiba wakafê bihî ithmam mubînâ

Regarde comme ils inventent le mensonge à l'encontre d'Allah. Et çà, c'est assez comme péché manifeste

Look how they invent about Allah untruth, and sufficient is that as a manifest sin

اَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى اَ۬لذِينَ أُوتُواْ نَصِيباٗ مِّنَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبِ يُومِنُونَ بِالْجِبْتِ وَالطَّٰغُوتِ وَيَقُولُونَ لِلذِينَ كَفَرُواْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ اَ۬هْد۪ىٰ مِنَ اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ سَبِيلاًۖ ﰱ

Alam tara ilâ lladhîna ûtû nasîbam mina lkitâbi yûminûna biljibti wattâghûti wayaqûlûna lilladhîna kafarû hâ'ulâ'i hdê mina lladhîna âmanû sabîlâ

N'as-tu pas vu ceux-là, à qui une partie du Livre a été donnée, avoir foi à la magie (gibt) et au Tâghhoût, et dire en faveur de ceux qui ne croient pas: «Ceux-là sont mieux guidés (sur le chemin) que ceux qui ont cru»

Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, who believe in superstition and false objects of worship and say about the disbelievers, "These are better guided than the believers as to the way

ا۟وْلَٰٓئِكَ اَ۬لذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اُ۬للَّهُۖ وَمَنْ يَّلْعَنِ اِ۬للَّهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ نَصِيراًۖ ﰲ

Ulâ'ika lladhîna la‘anahumu llâhu wamay yal‘ani llâhu falan tajida lahû nasîrâ

Voilà ceux qu'Allah a maudits; et quiconque Allah maudit, jamais tu ne trouveras pour lui de secoureur

Those are the ones whom Allah has cursed; and he whom Allah curses - never will you find for him a helper

اَمْ لَهُمْ نَصِيبٞ مِّنَ اَ۬لْمُلْكِ فَإِذاٗ لَّا يُوتُونَ اَ۬لنَّاسَ نَقِيراًۖ ﰳ

Am lahum nasîbum mina lmulki fa'idhal lâ yûtûna nnâsa naqîrâ

Possèdent-ils une partie du pouvoir? Ils ne donneraient donc rien aux gens, fût-ce le creux d'un noyau de datte

Or have they a share of dominion? Then [if that were so], they would not give the people [even as much as] the speck on a date seed

اَمْ يَحْسُدُونَ اَ۬لنَّاسَ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَات۪يٰهُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦۖ فَقَدَ اٰتَيْنَآ ءَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُم مُّلْكاً عَظِيماٗۖ ﰴ

Am yahsudûna nnâsa ‘alâ mâ âtêhumu llâhu min fadlihî faqada âtaynâ âla ibrâhîma lkitâba walhikmata wa'âtaynâhum mulkan ‘azîmâ

Envient-ils aux gens ce qu'Allah leur a donné de par Sa grâce? Or, Nous avons donné à la famille d'Abraham le Livre et la Sagesse; et Nous leur avons donné un immense royaume

Or do they envy people for what Allah has given them of His bounty? But we had already given the family of Abraham the Scripture and wisdom and conferred upon them a great kingdom

فَمِنْهُم مَّنَ اٰمَنَ بِهِۦ وَمِنْهُم مَّن صَدَّ عَنْهُۖ وَكَف۪ىٰ بِجَهَنَّمَ سَعِيراًۖ ﰵ

Faminhum mana âmana bihî waminhum man sadda ‘anhu wakafê bijahannama sa‘îrâ

Certains d'entre eux ont cru en lui, d'autres d'entre eux s'en sont écartés. L'Enfer leur suffira comme flamme (pour y brûler)

And some among them believed in it, and some among them were averse to it. And sufficient is Hell as a blaze

اِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا سَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِمْ نَاراٗۖ كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُودُهُم بَدَّلْنَٰهُمْ جُلُوداً غَيْرَهَا لِيَذُوقُواْ اُ۬لْعَذَابَۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ عَزِيزاً حَكِيماٗۖ ﰶ

Inna lladhîna kafarû bi'âyâtinâ sawfa nuslîhim nâran kullamâ nadijat julûduhum baddalnâhum julûdan ghayrahâ liyadhûqû l‘adhâba inna llâha kâna ‘azîzan hakîmâ

Certes, ceux qui ne croient pas à Nos Versets, (le Coran) Nous les brûlerons bientôt dans le Feu. Chaque fois que leurs peaux auront été consumées, Nous leur donnerons d'autres peaux en échange afin qu'ils goûtent au châtiment. Allah est certes, Puissant et Sage

Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our verses - We will drive them into a Fire. Every time their skins are roasted through We will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted in Might and Wise

وَالذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجْرِے مِن تَحْتِهَا اَ۬لَانْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَداٗۖ لَّهُمْ فِيهَآ أَزْوَٰجٞ مُّطَهَّرَةٞۖ وَنُدْخِلُهُمْ ظِلّاٗ ظَلِيلاًۖ ﰷ

Walladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti sanudkhiluhum jannâtin tajrî min tahtihâ lanhâru khâlidîna fîhâ abadal lahum fîhâ azwâjum mutahharatun wanudkhiluhum zillan zalîlâ

Et quant à ceux qui ont cru et fait de bonnes œuvres, bientôt Nous les ferons entrer aux Jardins sous lesquels coulent des ruisseaux. Ils y demeureront éternellement. Il y aura là pour eux des épouses purifiées. Et Nous les ferons entrer sous un ombrage épais

But those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide forever. For them therein are purified spouses, and We will admit them to deepening shade

۞ اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ يَامُرُكُمُۥٓ أَن تُوَ۬دُّواْ اُ۬لَامَٰنَٰتِ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهَا وَإِذَا حَكَمْتُم بَيْنَ اَ۬لنَّاسِ أَن تَحْكُمُواْ بِالْعَدْلِۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُكُم بِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ سَمِيعاَۢ بَصِيراٗۖ ﰸ

Inna llâha yâmurukumû an tuwaddû lamânâti ilâ ahlihâ wa'idhâ hakamtum bayna nnâsi an tahkumû bil‘adli inna llâha ni‘immâ ya‘izukum bihî inna llâha kâna samî‘am basîrâ

Certes, Allah vous commande de rendre les dépôts à leurs ayants-droit, et quand vous jugez entre des gens, de juger avec équité. Quelle bonne exhortation qu'Allah vous fait! Allah est, en vérité, Celui qui entend et qui voit tout

Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allah instructs you. Indeed, Allah is ever Hearing and Seeing

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَطِيعُواْ اُ۬للَّهَ وَأَطِيعُواْ اُ۬لرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِے اِ۬لَامْرِ مِنكُمْۖ فَإِن تَنَٰزَعْتُمْ فِے شَےْءٖ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اَ۬للَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُومِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ اِ۬لَاخِرِۖ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٞ وَأَحْسَنُ تَاوِيلاًۖ ﰹ

Yâ'ayyuhâ lladhîna âmanû atî‘û llâha wa'atî‘û rrasûla wa'ulî lamri minkum fa'in tanâza‘tum fî shay'in faruddûhu ilâ llâhi warrasûli in kuntum tûminûna billâhi walyawmi lakhiri dhâlika khayrun wa'ahsanu tâwîlâ

O les croyants! Obéissez à Allah, et obéissez au Messager et à ceux d'entre vous qui détiennent le commandement. Puis, si vous vous disputez en quoi que ce soit, renvoyez-le à Allah et au Messager, si vous croyez en Allah et au Jour dernier. Ce sera bien mieux et de meilleure interprétation (et aboutissement)

O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result

اَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى اَ۬لذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمُۥٓ ءَامَنُواْ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَّتَحَاكَمُوٓاْ إِلَى اَ۬لطَّٰغُوتِ وَقَدُ ا۟مِرُوٓاْ أَنْ يَّكْفُرُواْ بِهِۦۖ وَيُرِيدُ اُ۬لشَّيْطَٰنُ أَنْ يُّضِلَّهُمْ ضَلَٰلاَۢ بَعِيداٗۖ ﰺ

Alam tara ilâ lladhîna yaz‘umûna annahumû âmanû bimâ unzila ilayka wamâ unzila min qablika yurîdûna ay yatahâkamû ilâ ttâghûti waqadu umirû ay yakfurû bihî wayurîdu shshaytânu ay yudillahum dalâlam ba‘îdâ

N'as-tu pas vu ceux qui prétendent croire à ce qu'on a fait descendre vers toi [prophète] et à ce qu'on a fait descendre avant toi? Ils veulent prendre pour juge le Tâghût, alors que c'est en lui qu'on leur a commandé de ne pas croire. Mais le Diable veut les égarer très loin, dans l'égarement

Have you not seen those who claim to have believed in what was revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you? They wish to refer legislation to Taghut, while they were commanded to reject it; and Satan wishes to lead them far astray

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوِاْ اِلَىٰ مَآ أَنزَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ وَإِلَى اَ۬لرَّسُولِ رَأَيْتَ اَ۬لْمُنَٰفِقِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَنكَ صُدُوداٗۖ ﰻ

Wa'idhâ qîla lahum ta‘âlawi lâ mâ anzala llâhu wa'ilâ rrasûli ra'ayta lmunâfiqîna yasuddûna ‘anka sudûdâ

Et lorsqu'on leur dit: «Venez vers ce qu'Allah a fait descendre et vers le Messager», tu vois les hypocrites s'écarter loin de toi

And when it is said to them, "Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger," you see the hypocrites turning away from you in aversion

فَكَيْفَ إِذَآ أَصَٰبَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةُۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتَ اَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ جَآءُوكَ يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ إِنَ اَرَدْنَآ إِلَّآ إِحْسَٰناٗ وَتَوْفِيقاًۖ ﰼ

Fakayfa idhâ asâbathum musîbatum bimâ qaddamata ydîhim thumma jâ'ûka yahlifûna billâhi ina radnâ illâ ihsânan watawfîqâ

Comment (agiront-ils) quand un malheur les atteindra, à cause de ce qu'ils ont préparé de leurs propres mains? Puis ils viendront alors près de toi, jurant par Allah: «Nous n'avons voulu que le bien et la réconciliation»

So how [will it be] when disaster strikes them because of what their hands have put forth and then they come to you swearing by Allah, "We intended nothing but good conduct and accommodation

ا۟وْلَٰٓئِكَ اَ۬لذِينَ يَعْلَمُ اُ۬للَّهُ مَا فِے قُلُوبِهِمْ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَعِظْهُمْ وَقُل لَّهُمْ فِےٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ قَوْلاَۢ بَلِيغاٗۖ ﰽ

Ulâ'ika lladhîna ya‘lamu llâhu mâ fî qulûbihim fa'a‘rid ‘anhum wa‘izhum waqul lahum fî anfusihim qawlam balîghâ

Voilà ceux dont Allah sait ce qu'ils ont dans leurs cœurs. Ne leur tiens donc pas rigueur, exhorte-les, et dis-leur sur eux-mêmes des paroles convaincantes

Those are the ones of whom Allah knows what is in their hearts, so turn away from them but admonish them and speak to them a far-reaching word

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن رَّسُولٍ اِلَّا لِيُطَاعَ بِإِذْنِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ وَلَوَ اَنَّهُمُۥٓ إِذ ظَّلَمُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمْ جَآءُوكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُواْ اُ۬للَّهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ اُ۬لرَّسُولُ لَوَجَدُواْ اُ۬للَّهَ تَوَّاباٗ رَّحِيماٗۖ ﰾ

Wamâ arsalnâ mir rasûlini llâ liyutâ‘a bi'idhni llâhi walawa nnahumû idh zalamû anfusahum jâ'ûka fastaghfarû llâha wastaghfara lahumu rrasûlu lawajadû llâha tawwâbar rahîmâ

Nous n'avons envoyé de Messager que pour qu'il soit obéi par la permission d'Allah. Si, lorsqu'ils ont fait du tort à leurs propres personnes ils venaient à toi en implorant le pardon d'Allah et si le Messager demandait le pardon pour eux, ils trouveraient, certes, Allah, Très Accueillant au repentir, Miséricordieux

And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allah. And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful

۞ فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُومِنُونَ حَتَّىٰ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُواْ فِےٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ حَرَجاٗ مِّمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُواْ تَسْلِيماٗۖ ﰿ

Falâ warabbika lâ yûminûna hattâ yuhakkimûka fîmâ shajara baynahum thumma lâ yajidû fî anfusihim harajam mimmâ qadayta wayusallimû taslîmâ

Non!... Par ton Seigneur! Ils ne seront pas croyants aussi longtemps qu'ils ne t'auront demandé de juger de leurs disputes et qu'ils n'auront éprouvé nulle angoisse pour ce que tu auras décidé, et qu'ils se soumettent complètement [à ta sentence]

But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission

وَلَوَ اَنَّا كَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمُۥٓ أَنُ اُ۟قْتُلُوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمُۥٓ أَوُ اُ۟خْرُجُواْ مِن دِيٰ۪رِكُم مَّا فَعَلُوهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلٞ مِّنْهُمْۖ وَلَوَ اَنَّهُمْ فَعَلُواْ مَا يُوعَظُونَ بِهِۦ لَكَانَ خَيْراٗ لَّهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ تَثْبِيتاٗۖ ﱀ

Walawa nnâ katabnâ ‘alayhimû anu qtulû anfusakumû awu khrujû min diêrikum mâ fa‘alûhu illâ qalîlum minhum walawa nnahum fa‘alû mâ yû‘azûna bihî lakâna khayral lahum wa'ashadda tathbîah

Si Nous leur avions prescrit ceci: «Tuez-vous vous-mêmes», ou «Sortez de vos demeures», ils ne l'auraient pas fait, sauf un petit nombre d'entre eux. S'ils avaient fait ce à quoi on les exhortait, cela aurait été certainement meilleur pour eux, et (leur foi) aurait été plus affermie

And if We had decreed upon them, "Kill yourselves" or "Leave your homes," they would not have done it, except for a few of them. But if they had done what they were instructed, it would have been better for them and a firmer position [for them in faith]

وَإِذاٗ لَّأٓتَيْنَٰهُم مِّن لَّدُنَّآ أَجْراً عَظِيماٗ ﱁ

Wa'idhal la'taynâhum mil ladunnâ ajran ‘azîmâ

Alors Nous leur aurions donné certainement, de Notre part, une grande récompense

And then We would have given them from Us a great reward

وَلَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ صِرَٰطاٗ مُّسْتَقِيماٗۖ ﱂ

Walahadaynâhum sirâtam mustaqîmâ

et Nous les aurions guidé certes, vers un droit chemin

And We would have guided them to a straight path

وَمَنْ يُّطِعِ اِ۬للَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مَعَ اَ۬لذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ اَ۬لنَّبِيٓـِٕۧنَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَآءِ وَالصَّٰلِحِينَۖ وَحَسُنَ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ رَفِيقاٗۖ ﱃ

Wamay yuti‘i llâha warrasûla fa'ulâ'ika ma‘a lladhîna an‘ama llâhu ‘alayhim mina nnabî'ina wassiddîqîna washshuhadâ'i wassâlihîna wahasuna ulâ'ika rafîqâ

Quiconque obéit à Allah et au Messager... ceux-là seront avec ceux qu'Allah a comblés de Ses bienfaits: les prophètes, les véridiques, les martyrs, et les vertueux. Et quels bons compagnons que ceux-là

And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions

ذَٰلِكَ اَ۬لْفَضْلُ مِنَ اَ۬للَّهِۖ وَكَف۪ىٰ بِاللَّهِ عَلِيماٗۖ ﱄ

Dhâlika lfadlu mina llâhi wakafê billâhi ‘alîmâ

Cette grâce vient d'Allah. Et Allah suffit comme Parfait Connaisseur

That is the bounty from Allah, and sufficient is Allah as Knower

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ خُذُواْ حِذْرَكُمْ فَانفِرُواْ ثُبَاتٍ اَوِ اِ۪نفِرُواْ جَمِيعاٗۖ ﱅ

Yâ'ayyuhâ lladhîna âmanû khudhû hidhrakum fânfirû thubâtina wi nfirû jamî‘â

O les croyants! Prenez vos précautions et partez en expédition par détachements ou en masse

O you who have believed, take your precaution and [either] go forth in companies or go forth all together

وَإِنَّ مِنكُمْ لَمَن لَّيُبَطِّئَنَّۖ فَإِنَ اَصَٰبَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٞ قَالَ قَدَ اَنْعَمَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلَيَّ إِذْ لَمَ اَكُن مَّعَهُمْ شَهِيداٗۖ ﱆ

Wa'inna minkum lamal layubattî'anna fa'ina sâbatkum musîbatun qâla qada n‘ama llâhu ‘alayya idh lama kum ma‘ahum shahîdâ

Parmi vous, il y aura certes, quelqu'un qui tardera [à aller au combat] et qui, si un malheur vous atteint, dira: «Certes, Allah m'a fait une faveur en ce que je ne me suis pas trouvé en leur compagnie»

And indeed, there is among you he who lingers behind; and if disaster strikes you, he says, "Allah has favored me in that I was not present with them

وَلَئِنَ اَصَٰبَكُمْ فَضْلٞ مِّنَ اَ۬للَّهِ لَيَقُولَنَّ كَأَن لَّمْ يَكُنۢ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُۥ مَوَدَّةٞ يَٰلَيْتَنِے كُنتُ مَعَهُمْ فَأَفُوزَ فَوْزاً عَظِيماٗۖ ﱇ

Wala'ina sâbakum fadlum mina llâhi layaqûlanna ka'al lam yakum baynakum wabaynahû mawaddatun yâlaytanî kuntu ma‘ahum fa'afûza fawzan ‘azîmâ

et si c'est une grâce qui vous atteint de la part d'Allah, il se mettra, certes, à dire, comme s'il n'y avait aucune affection entre vous et lui: «Quel dommage! Si j'avais été avec eux, j'aurais alors acquis un gain énorme»

But if bounty comes to you from Allah, he will surely say, as if there had never been between you and him any affection. "Oh, I wish I had been with them so I could have attained a great attainment

۞ فَلْيُقَٰتِلْ فِے سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لذِينَ يَشْرُونَ اَ۬لْحَيَوٰةَ اَ۬لدُّنْي۪ا بِالَاخِرَةِۖ وَمَنْ يُّقَٰتِلْ فِے سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِ فَيُقْتَلَ اَوْ يَغْلِبْ فَسَوْفَ نُوتِيهِ أَجْراً عَظِيماٗۖ ﱈ

Falyuqâtil fî sabîli llâhi lladhîna yashrûna lhayawâta ddunyê bilakhirati wamay yuqâtil fî sabîli llâhi fayuqtala w yaghlib fasawfa nûtîhi ajran ‘azîmâ

Qu'ils combattent donc dans le sentier d'Allah, ceux qui troquent la vie présente contre la vie future. Et quiconque combat dans le sentier d'Allah, tué ou vainqueur, Nous lui donnerons bientôt une énorme récompense

So let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the cause of Allah and is killed or achieves victory - We will bestow upon him a great reward

وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَٰتِلُونَ فِے سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ اَ۬لرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَآءِ وَالْوِلْدَٰنِ اِ۬لذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ اِ۬لْقَرْيَةِ اِ۬لظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيّاٗ وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ نَصِيراًۖ ﱉ

Wamâ lakum lâ tuqâtilûna fî sabîli llâhi walmustad‘afîna mina rrijâli wannisâ'i walwildâni lladhîna yaqûlûna rabbanâ akhrijnâ min hâdhihi lqaryati zzâlimi ahluhâ waj‘al lanâ mil ladunka waliyyan waj‘al lanâ mil ladunka nasîrâ

Et qu'avez-vous à ne pas combattre dans le sentier d'Allah, et pour la cause des faibles: hommes, femmes et enfants qui disent: «Seigneur! Fais-nous sortir de cette cité dont les gens sont injustes, et assigne-nous de Ta part un allié, et assigne-nous de Ta part un secoureur»

And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, "Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper

اِ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يُقَٰتِلُونَ فِے سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ وَالذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُقَٰتِلُونَ فِے سَبِيلِ اِ۬لطَّٰغُوتِۖ فَقَٰتِلُوٓاْ أَوْلِيَآءَ اَ۬لشَّيْطَٰنِۖ إِنَّ كَيْدَ اَ۬لشَّيْطَٰنِ كَانَ ضَعِيفاًۖ ﱊ

Alladhîna âmanû yuqâtilûna fî sabîli llâhi walladhîna kafarû yuqâtilûna fî sabîli ttâghûti faqâtilû awliyâ'a shshaytâni inna kayda shshaytâni kâna da‘îfâ

Les croyants combattent dans le sentier d'Allah, et ceux qui ne croient pas combattent dans le sentier du Tâghût. Eh bien, combattez les alliés du Diable, car la ruse du Diable est, certes, faible

Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak

اَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى اَ۬لذِينَ قِيلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّوٓاْ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَقِيمُواْ اُ۬لصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُواْ اُ۬لزَّكَوٰةَۖ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ اُ۬لْقِتَالُ إِذَا فَرِيقٞ مِّنْهُمْ يَخْشَوْنَ اَ۬لنَّاسَ كَخَشْيَةِ اِ۬للَّهِ أَوَ اَشَدَّ خَشْيَةٗۖ وَقَالُواْ رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبْتَ عَلَيْنَا اَ۬لْقِتَالَ لَوْلَآ أَخَّرْتَنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ قَرِيبٖۖ قُلْ مَتَٰعُ اُ۬لدُّنْي۪ا قَلِيلٞۖ وَالَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٞ لِّمَنِ اِ۪تَّق۪ىٰۖ وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلاًۖ ﱋ

Alam tara ilâ lladhîna qîla lahum kuffû aydiyakum wa'aqîmû ssalawâta wa'âtû zzakawâta falammâ kutiba ‘alayhimu lqitâlu idhâ farîqum minhum yakhshawna nnâsa kakhashyati llâhi awa shadda khashyatan waqâlû rabbanâ lima katabta ‘alaynâ lqitâla lawlâ akhkhartanâ ilâ ajalin qarîbin qul matâ‘u ddunyê qalîlun walakhiratu khayrul limani ttaqê walâ tuzlamûna fatîlâ

N'as-tu pas vu ceux auxquels on avait dit: «Abstenez-vous de combattre, accomplissez la Salât et acquittez la Zakât!» Puis lorsque le combat leur fut prescrit, voilà qu'une partie d'entre eux se mit à craindre les gens comme on craint Allah, ou même d'une crainte plus forte encore, et à dire: «O notre Seigneur! Pourquoi nous as-Tu prescrit le combat? Pourquoi n'as-Tu pas reporté cela à un peu plus tard?» Dis: «La jouissance d'ici-bas est éphémère, mais la vie future est meilleure pour quiconque est pieux. Et on ne vous lésera pas, fût-ce d'un brin de noyau de datte

Have you not seen those who were told, "Restrain your hands [from fighting] and establish prayer and give zakah"? But then when fighting was ordained for them, at once a party of them feared men as they fear Allah or with [even] greater fear. They said, "Our Lord, why have You decreed upon us fighting? If only You had postponed [it for] us for a short time." Say, The enjoyment of this world is little, and the Hereafter is better for he who fears Allah. And injustice will not be done to you, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed]

اَيْنَمَا تَكُونُواْ يُدْرِككُّمُ اُ۬لْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنتُمْ فِے بُرُوجٖ مُّشَيَّدَةٖۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٞ يَقُولُواْ هَٰذِهِۦ مِنْ عِندِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٞ يَقُولُواْ هَٰذِهِۦ مِنْ عِندِكَۖ قُلْ كُلّٞ مِّنْ عِندِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ فَمَالِ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ اِ۬لْقَوْمِ لَا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثاٗۖ ﱌ

Aynamâ takûnû yudrikkumu lmawtu walaw kuntum fî burûjim mushayyadatin wa'in tusibhum hasanatun yaqûlû hâdhihî min ‘indi llâhi wa'in tusibhum sayyî'atun yaqûlû hâdhihî min ‘indika qul kullum min ‘indi llâhi famâli hâ'ulâ'i lqawmi lâ yakâdûna yafqahûna hadîthâ

Où que vous soyez, la mort vous atteindra, fussiez-vous dans des tours imprenables. Qu'un bien les atteigne, ils disent: «C'est de la part d'Allah.» Qu'un mal les atteigne, ils disent: «C'est dû à toi (Muhammad).» Dis: «Tout est d'Allah.» Mais qu'ont-ils ces gens, à ne comprendre presque aucune parole

Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction. But if good comes to them, they say, "This is from Allah "; and if evil befalls them, they say, "This is from you." Say, "All [things] are from Allah." So what is [the matter] with those people that they can hardly understand any statement

۞ مَّآ أَصَابَكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٖ فَمِنَ اَ۬للَّهِۖ وَمَآ أَصَابَكَ مِن سَيِّئَةٖ فَمِن نَّفْسِكَۖ وَأَرْسَلْنَٰكَ لِلنَّاسِ رَسُولاٗۖ وَكَف۪ىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيداٗۖ ﱍ

Mâ asâbaka min hasanatin famina llâhi wamâ asâbaka min sayyî'atin famin nafsika wa'arsalnâka linnâsi rasûlan wakafê billâhi shahîdâ

Tout bien qui t'atteint vient d'Allah, et tout mal qui t'atteint vient de toi-même. Et nous t'avons envoyé aux gens comme Messager. Et Allah suffit comme témoin

What comes to you of good is from Allah, but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself. And We have sent you, [O Muhammad], to the people as a messenger, and sufficient is Allah as Witness

مَّنْ يُّطِعِ اِ۬لرَّسُولَ فَقَدَ اَطَاعَ اَ۬للَّهَۖ وَمَن تَوَلّ۪ىٰ فَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظاٗۖ ﱎ

May yuti‘i rrasûla faqada tâ‘a llâha waman tawallê famâ arsalnâka ‘alayhim hafîzâ

Quiconque obéit au Messager obéit certainement à Allah. Et quiconque tourne le dos... Nous ne t'avons pas envoyé à eux comme gardien

He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah; but those who turn away - We have not sent you over them as a guardian

وَيَقُولُونَ طَاعَةٞۖ فَإِذَا بَرَزُواْ مِنْ عِندِكَ بَيَّتَ طَآئِفَةٞ مِّنْهُمْ غَيْرَ اَ۬لذِے تَقُولُۖ وَاللَّهُ يَكْتُبُ مَا يُبَيِّتُونَۖ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِۖ وَكَف۪ىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلاًۖ ﱏ

Wayaqûlûna tâ‘atun fa'idhâ barazû min ‘indika bayyata tâ'ifatum minhum ghayra lladhî taqûlu wallâhu yaktubu mâ yubayyitûna fa'a‘rid ‘anhum watawakkal ‘alâ llâhi wakafê billâhi wakîlâ

Ils disent: «Obéissance!» Puis, sitôt sortis de chez toi, une partie d'entre eux délibère au cours de la nuit de tout autre chose que ce qu'elle t'a dit. [Cependant] Allah enregistre ce qu'ils font la nuit. Pardonne-leur donc et place ta confiance en Allah. Et Allah suffit comme Protecteur

And they say, "[We pledge] obedience." But when they leave you, a group of them spend the night determining to do other than what you say. But Allah records what they plan by night. So leave them alone and rely upon Allah. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs

اَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ اَ۬لْقُرْءَانَۖ وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ عِندِ غَيْرِ اِ۬للَّهِ لَوَجَدُواْ فِيهِ اِ۪خْتِلَٰفاٗ كَثِيراٗۖ ﱐ

Afalâ yatadabbarûna lqur'âna walaw kâna min ‘indi ghayri llâhi lawajadû fîhi khtilâfan kathîrâ

Ne méditent-ils donc pas sur le Coran? S'il provenait d'un autre qu'Allah, ils y trouveraient certes maintes contradictions

Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction

وَإِذَا جَآءَهُمُۥٓ أَمْرٞ مِّنَ اَ۬لَامْنِ أَوِ اِ۬لْخَوْفِ أَذَاعُواْ بِهِۦۖ وَلَوْ رَدُّوهُ إِلَى اَ۬لرَّسُولِ وَإِلَىٰٓ أُوْلِے اِ۬لَامْرِ مِنْهُمْ لَعَلِمَهُ اُ۬لذِينَ يَسْتَنۢبِطُونَهُۥ مِنْهُمْۖ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اُ۬للَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ لَاتَّبَعْتُمُ اُ۬لشَّيْطَٰنَ إِلَّا قَلِيلاٗۖ ﱑ

Wa'idhâ jâ'ahumû amrum mina lamni awi lkhawfi adhâ‘û bihî walaw raddûhu ilâ rrasûli wa'ilâ ulî lamri minhum la‘alimahu lladhîna yastambitûnahû minhum walawlâ fadlu llâhi ‘alaykum warahmatuhû lattaba‘tumu shshaytâna illâ qalîlâ

Quand leur parvient une nouvelle rassurante ou alarmante, ils la diffusent. S'ils la rapportaient au Messager et aux détenteurs du commandement parmi eux, ceux d'entre eux qui cherchent à être éclairés, auraient appris (la vérité de la bouche du Prophète et des détenteurs du commandement). Et n'eussent été la grâce d'Allah sur vous et Sa miséricorde, vous auriez suivi le Diable, à part quelques-uns

And when there comes to them information about [public] security or fear, they spread it around. But if they had referred it back to the Messenger or to those of authority among them, then the ones who [can] draw correct conclusions from it would have known about it. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have followed Satan, except for a few

فَقَٰتِلْ فِے سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ لَا تُكَلَّفُ إِلَّا نَفْسَكَۖ وَحَرِّضِ اِ۬لْمُومِنِينَۖ عَسَى اَ۬للَّهُ أَنْ يَّكُفَّ بَأْسَ اَ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُواْۖ وَاللَّهُ أَشَدُّ بَأْساٗ وَأَشَدُّ تَنكِيلاٗۖ ﱒ

Faqâtil fî sabîli llâhi lâ tukallafu illâ nafsaka waharridi lmûminîna ‘asâ llâhu ay yakuffa ba'sa lladhîna kafarû wallâhu ashaddu ba'san wa'ashaddu tankîlâ

Combats donc dans le sentier d'Allah, tu n'es responsable que de toi même, et incite les croyants (au combat) Allah arrêtera certes la violence des mécréants. Allah est plus redoutable en force et plus sévère en punition

So fight, [O Muhammad], in the cause of Allah; you are not held responsible except for yourself. And encourage the believers [to join you] that perhaps Allah will restrain the [military] might of those who disbelieve. And Allah is greater in might and stronger in [exemplary] punishment

مَّنْ يَّشْفَعْ شَفَٰعَةً حَسَنَةٗ يَكُن لَّهُۥ نَصِيبٞ مِّنْهَاۖ وَمَنْ يَّشْفَعْ شَفَٰعَةٗ سَيِّئَةٗ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كِفْلٞ مِّنْهَاۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَےْءٖ مُّقِيتاٗۖ ﱓ

May yashfa‘ shafâ‘atan hasanatan yakul lahû nasîbum minhâ wamay yashfa‘ shafâ‘atan sayyî'atan yakul lahû kiflum minhâ wakâna llâhu ‘alâ kulli shay'im muqîah

Quiconque intercède d'une bonne intercession, en aura une part; et quiconque intercède d'une mauvaise intercession en portera une part de responsabilité. Et Allah est Puissant sur toute chose

Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. And ever is Allah, over all things, a Keeper

وَإِذَا حُيِّيتُم بِتَحِيَّةٖ فَحَيُّواْ بِأَحْسَنَ مِنْهَآ أَوْ رُدُّوهَآۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَےْءٍ حَسِيباًۖ ﱔ

Wa'idhâ huyyîtum bitahiyyatin fahayyû bi'ahsana minhâ aw ruddûhâ inna llâha kâna ‘alâ kulli shay'in hasîbâ

Si on vous fait une salutation, saluez d'une façon meilleure; ou bien rendez-la (simplement). Certes, Allah tient compte de tout

And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet [in return] with one better than it or [at least] return it [in a like manner]. Indeed, Allah is ever, over all things, an Accountant

۞ اِ۬للَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمُۥٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ اِ۬لْقِيَٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِۖ وَمَنَ اَصْدَقُ مِنَ اَ۬للَّهِ حَدِيثاٗۖ ﱕ

Allâhu lâ ilâha illâ huwa layajma‘annakumû ilâ yawmi lqiyâmati lâ rayba fîhi wamana sdaqu mina llâhi hadîthâ

Allah! Pas de divinité à part Lui! Très certainement Il vous rassemblera au Jour de la Résurrection, point de doute là-dessus. Et qui est plus véridique qu'Allah en parole

Allah - there is no deity except Him. He will surely assemble you for [account on] the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. And who is more truthful than Allah in statement

فَمَا لَكُمْ فِے اِ۬لْمُنَٰفِقِينَ فِئَتَيْنِ وَاللَّهُ أَرْكَسَهُم بِمَا كَسَبُوٓاْۖ أَتُرِيدُونَ أَن تَهْدُواْ مَنَ اَضَلَّ اَ۬للَّهُۖ وَمَنْ يُّضْلِلِ اِ۬للَّهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ سَبِيلاٗۖ ﱖ

Famâ lakum fî lmunâfiqîna fî'atayni wallâhu arkasahum bimâ kasabû aturîdûna an tahdû mana dalla llâhu wamay yudlili llâhu falan tajida lahû sabîlâ

Qu'avez-vous à vous diviser en deux factions au sujet des hypocrites? Alors qu'Allah les a refoulés (dans leur infidélité) pour ce qu'ils ont acquis. Voulez-vous guider ceux qu'Allah égare? Et quiconque Allah égare, tu ne lui trouveras pas de chemin (pour le ramener)

What is [the matter] with you [that you are] two groups concerning the hypocrites, while Allah has made them fall back [into error and disbelief] for what they earned. Do you wish to guide those whom Allah has sent astray? And he whom Allah sends astray - never will you find for him a way [of guidance]

وَدُّواْ لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ كَمَا كَفَرُواْ فَتَكُونُونَ سَوَآءٗۖ فَلَا تَتَّخِذُواْ مِنْهُمُۥٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ حَتَّىٰ يُهَاجِرُواْ فِے سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَلَا تَتَّخِذُواْ مِنْهُمْ وَلِيّاٗ وَلَا نَصِيراً ﱗ

Waddû law takfurûna kamâ kafarû fatakûnûna sawâ'an falâ tattakhidhû minhumû awliyâ'a hattâ yuhâjirû fî sabîli llâhi fa'in tawallaw fakhudhûhum waqtulûhum haythu wajadttumûhum walâ tattakhidhû minhum waliyyan walâ nasîrâ

Ils aimeraient vous voir mécréants comme ils ont mécru: alors vous seriez tous égaux! Ne prenez donc pas d'alliés parmi eux, jusqu'à ce qu'ils émigrent dans le sentier d'Allah. Mais s'ils tournent le dos, saisissez-les alors, et tuez-les où que vous les trouviez; et ne prenez parmi eux ni allié ni secoureur

They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper

اِلَّا اَ۬لذِينَ يَصِلُونَ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِۢ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُم مِّيثَٰقٌ اَوْ جَآءُوكُمْۖ حَصِرَتْ صُدُورُهُمُۥٓ أَنْ يُّقَٰتِلُوكُمُۥٓ أَوْ يُقَٰتِلُواْ قَوْمَهُمْۖ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُ لَسَلَّطَهُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ فَلَقَٰتَلُوكُمْۖ فَإِنِ اِ۪عْتَزَلُوكُمْ فَلَمْ يُقَٰتِلُوكُمْ وَأَلْقَوِاْ اِلَيْكُمُ اُ۬لسَّلَمَ فَمَا جَعَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سَبِيلاٗۖ ﱘ

Illâ lladhîna yasilûna ilâ qawmim baynakum wabaynahum mîthâquna w jâ'ûkum hasirat sudûruhumû ay yuqâtilûkumû aw yuqâtilû qawmahum walaw shâ'a llâhu lasallatahum ‘alaykum falaqâtalûkum fa'ini ‘tazalûkum falam yuqâtilûkum wa'alqawi laykumu ssalama famâ ja‘ala llâhu lakum ‘alayhim sabîlâ

excepté ceux qui se joignent à un groupe avec lequel vous avez conclu une alliance, ou ceux qui viennent chez vous, le cœur serré d'avoir à vous combattre ou à combattre leur propre tribu. Si Allah avait voulu, Il leur aurait donné l'audace (et la force) contre vous, et ils vous auraient certainement combattu. (Par conséquent,) s'ils restent neutres à votre égard et ne vous combattent point, et qu'ils vous offrent la paix, alors, Allah ne vous donne pas de chemin contre eux

Except for those who take refuge with a people between yourselves and whom is a treaty or those who come to you, their hearts strained at [the prospect of] fighting you or fighting their own people. And if Allah had willed, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you. So if they remove themselves from you and do not fight you and offer you peace, then Allah has not made for you a cause [for fighting] against them

سَتَجِدُونَ ءَاخَرِينَ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَّامَنُوكُمْ وَيَامَنُواْ قَوْمَهُمْ كُلَّ مَا رُدُّوٓاْ إِلَى اَ۬لْفِتْنَةِ أُرْكِسُواْ فِيهَاۖ فَإِن لَّمْ يَعْتَزِلُوكُمْ وَيُلْقُوٓاْ إِلَيْكُمُ اُ۬لسَّلَمَ وَيَكُفُّوٓاْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكُمْ جَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَٰناٗ مُّبِيناٗۖ ﱙ

Satajidûna âkharîna yurîdûna ay yâmanûkum wayâmanû qawmahum kulla mâ ruddû ilâ lfitnati urkisû fîhâ fa'il lam ya‘tazilûkum wayulqû ilaykumu ssalama wayakuffû aydiyahum fakhudhûhum waqtulûhum haythu thaqiftumûhum wa'ulâ'ikum ja‘alnâ lakum ‘alayhim sultânam mubînâ

Vous en trouverez d'autres qui cherchent à avoir votre confiance, et en même temps la confiance de leur propre tribu. Toutes les fois qu'on les pousse vers l'Association, (l'idolâtrie) ils y retombent en masse. (Par conséquent,) s'ils ne restent pas neutres à votre égard, ne vous offrent pas la paix et ne retiennent pas leurs mains (de vous combattre), alors, saisissez-les et tuez les où que vous les trouviez. Contre ceux-ci, Nous vous avons donné une autorité manifeste

You will find others who wish to obtain security from you and [to] obtain security from their people. Every time they are returned to [the influence of] disbelief, they fall back into it. So if they do not withdraw from you or offer you peace or restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you overtake them. And those - We have made for you against them a clear authorization

وَمَا كَانَ لِمُومِنٍ اَنْ يَّقْتُلَ مُومِناًۖ اِلَّا خَطَـٔاٗۖ وَمَن قَتَلَ مُومِناً خَطَـٔاٗ فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٖ مُّومِنَةٖ وَدِيَةٞ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ اِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَنْ يَّصَّدَّقُواْۖ فَإِن كَانَ مِن قَوْمٍ عَدُوّٖ لَّكُمْ وَهُوَ مُومِنٞ فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٖ مُّومِنَةٖۖ وَإِن كَانَ مِن قَوْمِۢ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُم مِّيثَٰقٞ فَدِيَةٞ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ اِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ وَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٖ مُّومِنَةٖۖ ۞ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ تَوْبَةٗ مِّنَ اَ۬للَّهِۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلِيماً حَكِيماٗۖ ﱚ

Wamâ kâna limûminina y yaqtula mûminani llâ khata'an waman qatala mûminan khata'an fatahrîru raqabatim mûminatin wadiyatum musallamatuni lâ ahlihî illâ ay yassaddaqû fa'in kâna min qawmin ‘aduwwil lakum wahuwa mûminun fatahrîru raqabatim mûminatin wa'in kâna min qawmim baynakum wabaynahum mîthâqun fadiyatum musallamatuni lâ ahlihî watahrîru raqabatim mûminatin famal lam yajid fasiyâmu shahrayni mutatâbi‘ayni tawbatam mina llâhi wakâna llâhu ‘alîman hakîmâ

Il n'appartient pas à un croyant de tuer un autre croyant, si ce n'est par erreur. Quiconque tue par erreur un croyant, qu'il affranchisse alors un esclave croyant et remette à sa famille le prix du sang, à moins que celle-ci n'y renonce par charité. Mais si [le tué] appartenait à un peuple ennemi à vous et qu'il soit croyant, qu'on affranchisse alors un esclave croyant. S'il appartenait à un peuple auquel vous êtes liés par un pacte, qu'on verse alors à sa famille le prix du sang et qu'on affranchisse un esclave croyant. Celui qui n'en trouve pas les moyens, qu'il jeûne deux mois d'affilée pour être pardonné par Allah. Allah est Omniscient et Sage

And never is it for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake. And whoever kills a believer by mistake - then the freeing of a believing slave and a compensation payment presented to the deceased's family [is required] unless they give [up their right as] charity. But if the deceased was from a people at war with you and he was a believer - then [only] the freeing of a believing slave; and if he was from a people with whom you have a treaty - then a compensation payment presented to his family and the freeing of a believing slave. And whoever does not find [one or cannot afford to buy one] - then [instead], a fast for two months consecutively, [seeking] acceptance of repentance from Allah. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise

وَمَنْ يَّقْتُلْ مُومِناٗ مُّتَعَمِّداٗ فَجَزَآؤُهُۥ جَهَنَّمُ خَٰلِداٗ فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُۥ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُۥ عَذَاباً عَظِيماٗۖ ﱛ

Wamay yaqtul mûminam muta‘ammidan fajazâ'uhû jahannamu khâlidan fîhâ waghadiba llâhu ‘alayhi wala‘anahû wa'a‘adda lahû ‘adhâban ‘azîmâ

Quiconque tue intentionnellement un croyant, Sa rétribution alors sera l'Enfer, pour y demeurer éternellement. Allah l'a frappé de Sa colère, l'a maudit et lui a préparé un énorme châtiment

But whoever kills a believer intentionally - his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him and has cursed him and has prepared for him a great punishment

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ فِے سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِ فَتَبَيَّنُواْۖ وَلَا تَقُولُواْ لِمَنَ اَلْق۪ىٰٓ إِلَيْكُمُ اُ۬لسَّلَمَ لَسْتَ مُومِناٗ تَبْتَغُونَ عَرَضَ اَ۬لْحَيَوٰةِ اِ۬لدُّنْي۪ا فَعِندَ اَ۬للَّهِ مَغَانِمُ كَثِيرَةٞۖ كَذَٰلِكَ كُنتُم مِّن قَبْلُ فَمَنَّ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْۖ فَتَبَيَّنُوٓاْۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيراٗۖ ﱜ

Yâ'ayyuhâ lladhîna âmanû idhâ darabtum fî sabîli llâhi fatabayyanû walâ taqûlû limana lqê ilaykumu ssalama lasta mûminan tabtaghûna ‘arada lhayawâti ddunyê fa‘inda llâhi maghânimu kathîratun kadhâlika kuntum min qablu famanna llâhu ‘alaykum fatabayyanû inna llâha kâna bimâ ta‘malûna khabîrâ

O les croyants! Lorsque vous sortez pour lutter dans le sentier d'Allah, voyez bien clair (ne vous hâtez pas) et ne dites pas à quiconque vous adresse le salut (de l'Islam): «Tu n'es pas croyant», convoitant les biens de la vie d'ici-bas. Or c'est auprès d'Allah qu'il y a beaucoup de butin. C'est ainsi que vous étiez auparavant; puis Allah vous a accordé Sa grâce. Voyez donc bien clair. Allah est, certes, Parfaitement Connaisseur de ce que vous faites

O you who have believed, when you go forth [to fight] in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who gives you [a greeting of] peace "You are not a believer," aspiring for the goods of worldly life; for with Allah are many acquisitions. You [yourselves] were like that before; then Allah conferred His favor upon you, so investigate. Indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted

لَّا يَسْتَوِے اِ۬لْقَٰعِدُونَ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُومِنِينَ غَيْرَ أُوْلِے اِ۬لضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَٰهِدُونَ فِے سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْۖ فَضَّلَ اَ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لْمُجَٰهِدِينَ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ عَلَى اَ۬لْقَٰعِدِينَ دَرَجَةٗۖ وَكُلّاٗ وَعَدَ اَ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لْحُسْن۪ىٰۖ وَفَضَّلَ اَ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لْمُجَٰهِدِينَ عَلَى اَ۬لْقَٰعِدِينَ أَجْراً عَظِيماٗ ﱝ

Lâ yastawî lqâ‘idûna mina lmûminîna ghayra ulî ddarari walmujâhidûna fî sabîli llâhi bi'amwâlihim wa'anfusihim faddala llâhu lmujâhidîna bi'amwâlihim wa'anfusihim ‘alâ lqâ‘idîna darajatan wakullan wa‘ada llâhu lhusnê wafaddala llâhu lmujâhidîna ‘alâ lqâ‘idîna ajran ‘azîmâ

Ne sont pas égaux ceux des croyants qui restent chez eux - sauf ceux qui ont quelque infirmité - et ceux qui luttent corps et biens dans le sentier d'Allah. Allah donne à ceux qui luttent corps et biens un grade d'excellence sur ceux qui restent chez eux. Et à chacun Allah a promis la meilleure récompense; et Allah a mis les combattants au-dessus des non combattants en leur accordant une rétribution immense

Not equal are those believers remaining [at home] - other than the disabled - and the mujahideen, [who strive and fight] in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred the mujahideen through their wealth and their lives over those who remain [behind], by degrees. And to both Allah has promised the best [reward]. But Allah has preferred the mujahideen over those who remain [behind] with a great reward

دَرَجَٰتٖ مِّنْهُ وَمَغْفِرَةٗ وَرَحْمَةٗۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ غَفُوراٗ رَّحِيماًۖ ﱞ

Darajâtim minhu wamaghfiratan warahmatan wakâna llâhu ghafûrar rahîmâ

des grades de supériorité de Sa part ainsi qu'un pardon et une miséricorde. Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux

Degrees [of high position] from Him and forgiveness and mercy. And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful

اِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ تَوَفّ۪يٰهُمُ اُ۬لْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ ظَالِمِےٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ قَالُواْ فِيمَ كُنتُمْۖ قَالُواْ كُنَّا مُسْتَضْعَفِينَ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ قَالُوٓاْ أَلَمْ تَكُنَ اَرْضُ اُ۬للَّهِ وَٰسِعَةٗ فَتُهَاجِرُواْ فِيهَاۖ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مَأْو۪يٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيراً ﱟ

Inna lladhîna tawaffêhumu lmalâ'ikatu zâlimî anfusihim qâlû fîma kuntum qâlû kunnâ mustad‘afîna fî lardi qâlû alam takuna rdu llâhi wâsi‘atan fatuhâjirû fîhâ fa'ulâ'ika ma'wêhum jahannamu wasâ'at masîrâ

Ceux qui ont fait du tort à eux-mêmes, les Anges enlèveront leurs âmes en disant: «Où en étiez-vous?» (à propos de votre religion) - «Nous étions impuissants sur terre», dirent-ils. Alors les Anges diront: «La terre d'Allah n'était-elle pas assez vaste pour vous permettre d'émigrer?» Voilà bien ceux dont le refuge est l'Enfer. Et quelle mauvaise destination

Indeed, those whom the angels take [in death] while wronging themselves - [the angels] will say, "In what [condition] were you?" They will say, "We were oppressed in the land." The angels will say, "Was not the earth of Allah spacious [enough] for you to emigrate therein?" For those, their refuge is Hell - and evil it is as a destination

اِلَّا اَ۬لْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ اَ۬لرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَآءِ وَالْوِلْدَٰنِ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ حِيلَةٗ وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ سَبِيلاٗۖ ﱠ

Illâ lmustad‘afîna mina rrijâli wannisâ'i walwildâni lâ yastatî‘ûna hîlatan walâ yahtadûna sabîlâ

A l'exception des impuissants: hommes, femmes et enfants, incapables de se débrouiller, et qui ne trouvent aucune voie

Except for the oppressed among men, women and children who cannot devise a plan nor are they directed to a way

فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ عَسَى اَ۬للَّهُ أَنْ يَّعْفُوَ عَنْهُمْۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَفُوّاً غَفُوراٗۖ ﱡ

Fa'ulâ'ika ‘asâ llâhu ay ya‘fuwa ‘anhum wakâna llâhu ‘afuwwan ghafûrâ

A ceux-là, il se peut qu'Allah donne le pardon. Allah est Clément et Pardonneur

For those it is expected that Allah will pardon them, and Allah is ever Pardoning and Forgiving

۞ وَمَنْ يُّهَاجِرْ فِے سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِ يَجِدْ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ مُرَٰغَماٗ كَثِيراٗ وَسَعَةٗۖ وَمَنْ يَّخْرُجْ مِنۢ بَيْتِهِۦ مُهَاجِراً اِلَى اَ۬للَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ ثُمَّ يُدْرِكْهُ اُ۬لْمَوْتُ فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُۥ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ غَفُوراٗ رَّحِيماٗۖ ﱢ

Wamay yuhâjir fî sabîli llâhi yajid fî lardi murâghaman kathîran wasa‘atan wamay yakhruj mim baytihî muhâjirani lâ llâhi warasûlihî thumma yudrikhu lmawtu faqad waqa‘a ajruhû ‘alâ llâhi wakâna llâhu ghafûrar rahîmâ

Et quiconque émigre dans le sentier d'Allah trouvera sur terre maints refuges et abondance. Et quiconque sort de sa maison, émigrant vers Allah et Son messager, et que la mort atteint, sa récompense incombe à Allah. Et Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux

And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many [alternative] locations and abundance. And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him - his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful

وَإِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ اَن تَقْصُرُواْ مِنَ اَ۬لصَّلَوٰةِ إِنْ خِفْتُمُۥٓ أَنْ يَّفْتِنَكُمُ اُ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْۖ إِنَّ اَ۬لْكٰ۪فِرِينَ كَانُواْ لَكُمْ عَدُوّاٗ مُّبِيناٗۖ ﱣ

Wa'idhâ darabtum fî lardi falaysa ‘alaykum junâhuna n taqsurû mina ssalawâti in khiftumû ay yaftinakumu lladhîna kafarû inna lkêfirîna kânû lakum ‘aduwwam mubînâ

Et quand vous parcourez la terre, ce n'est pas un péché pour vous de raccourcir la Salât, si vous craignez que les mécréants ne vous mettent à l'épreuve, car les mécréants demeurent pour vous un ennemi déclaré

And when you travel throughout the land, there is no blame upon you for shortening the prayer, [especially] if you fear that those who disbelieve may disrupt [or attack] you. Indeed, the disbelievers are ever to you a clear enemy

وَإِذَا كُنتَ فِيهِمْ فَأَقَمْتَ لَهُمُ اُ۬لصَّلَوٰةَ فَلْتَقُمْ طَآئِفَةٞ مِّنْهُم مَّعَكَ وَلْيَاخُذُوٓاْ أَسْلِحَتَهُمْۖ فَإِذَا سَجَدُواْ فَلْيَكُونُواْ مِنْ وَّرَآئِكُمْۖ وَلْتَاتِ طَآئِفَةٌ ا۟خْر۪ىٰ لَمْ يُصَلُّواْ فَلْيُصَلُّواْ مَعَكَ وَلْيَاخُذُواْ حِذْرَهُمْ وَأَسْلِحَتَهُمْۖ وَدَّ اَ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوْ تَغْفُلُونَ عَنَ اَسْلِحَتِكُمْ وَأَمْتِعَتِكُمْ فَيَمِيلُونَ عَلَيْكُم مَّيْلَةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗۖ وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمُۥٓ إِن كَانَ بِكُمُۥٓ أَذىٗ مِّن مَّطَرٍ اَوْ كُنتُم مَّرْض۪ىٰٓ أَن تَضَعُوٓاْ أَسْلِحَتَكُمْۖ وَخُذُواْ حِذْرَكُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ أَعَدَّ لِلْكٰ۪فِرِينَ عَذَاباٗ مُّهِيناٗۖ ﱤ

Wa'idhâ kunta fîhim fa'aqamta lahumu ssalawâta faltaqum tâ'ifatum minhum ma‘aka walyâkhudhû aslihatahum fa'idhâ sajadû falyakûnû miw warâ'ikum waltâti tâ'ifatun ukhrê lam yusallû falyusallû ma‘aka walyâkhudhû hidhrahum wa'aslihatahum wadda lladhîna kafarû law taghfulûna ‘ana slihatikum wa'amti‘atikum fayamîlûna ‘alaykum maylatan wâhidatan walâ junâha ‘alaykumû in kâna bikumû adham mim matarina w kuntum mardê an tada‘û aslihatakum wakhudhû hidhrakumû inna llâha a‘adda lilkêfirîna ‘adhâbam muhînâ

Et lorsque tu (Muhammad) te trouves parmi eux, et que tu les diriges dans la Salât, qu'un groupe d'entre eux se mette debout en ta compagnie, en gardant leurs armes. Puis lorsqu'ils ont terminé la prosternation, qu'ils passent derrière vous et que vienne l'autre groupe, ceux qui n'ont pas encore célébré la Salât. A ceux-ci alors d'accomplir la Salât avec toi, prenant leurs précautions et leurs armes. Les mécréants aimeraient vous voir négliger vos armes et vos bagages, afin de tomber sur vous en une seule masse. Vous ne commettez aucun péché si, incommodés par la pluie ou malades, vous déposez vos armes; cependant prenez garde. Certes, Allah a préparé pour les mécréants un châtiment avilissant

And when you are among them and lead them in prayer, let a group of them stand [in prayer] with you and let them carry their arms. And when they have prostrated, let them be [in position] behind you and have the other group come forward which has not [yet] prayed and let them pray with you, taking precaution and carrying their arms. Those who disbelieve wish that you would neglect your weapons and your baggage so they could come down upon you in one [single] attack. But there is no blame upon you, if you are troubled by rain or are ill, for putting down your arms, but take precaution. Indeed, Allah has prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment

فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمُ اُ۬لصَّلَوٰةَ فَاذْكُرُواْ اُ۬للَّهَ قِيَٰماٗ وَقُعُوداٗ وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِكُمْۖ فَإِذَا اَ۪طْمَأْنَنتُمْ فَأَقِيمُواْ اُ۬لصَّلَوٰةَۖ إِنَّ اَ۬لصَّلَوٰةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى اَ۬لْمُومِنِينَ كِتَٰباٗ مَّوْقُوتاٗۖ ﱥ

Fa'idhâ qadaytumu ssalawâta fadhkurû llâha qiyâman waqu‘ûdan wa‘alâ junûbikum fa'idhâ tma'nantum fa'aqîmû ssalawâta inna ssalawâta kânat ‘alâ lmûminîna kitâbam mawqûah

Quand vous avez accompli la Salât, invoquez le nom d'Allah, debout, assis ou couchés sur vos côtés. Puis lorsque vous êtes en sécurité, accomplissez la Salât (normalement), car la Salât demeure, pour les croyants, une prescription, à des temps déterminés

And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or [lying] on your sides. But when you become secure, re-establish [regular] prayer. Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times

وَلَا تَهِنُواْ فِے اِ۪بْتِغَآءِ اِ۬لْقَوْمِۖ إِن تَكُونُواْ تَالَمُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَالَمُونَ كَمَا تَالَمُونَ وَتَرْجُونَ مِنَ اَ۬للَّهِ مَا لَا يَرْجُونَۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلِيماً حَكِيماًۖ ﱦ

Walâ tahinû fî btighâ'i lqawmi in takûnû tâlamûna fa'innahum yâlamûna kamâ tâlamûna watarjûna mina llâhi mâ lâ yarjûna wakâna llâhu ‘alîman hakîmâ

Ne faiblissez pas dans la poursuite du peuple [ennemi]. Si vous souffrez, lui aussi souffre comme vous souffrez, tandis que vous espérez d'Allah ce qu'il n'espère pas. Allah est Omniscient et Sage

And do not weaken in pursuit of the enemy. If you should be suffering - so are they suffering as you are suffering, but you expect from Allah that which they expect not. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise

۞ اِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبَ بِالْحَقِّ لِتَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ اَ۬لنَّاسِ بِمَآ أَر۪يٰكَ اَ۬للَّهُۖ وَلَا تَكُن لِّلْخَآئِنِينَ خَصِيماٗۖ ﱧ

Innâ anzalnâ ilayka lkitâba bilhaqqi litahkuma bayna nnâsi bimâ arêka llâhu walâ takul lilkhâ'inîna khasîmâ

Nous avons fait descendre vers toi le Livre avec la vérité, pour que tu juges entre les gens, selon ce qu'Allah t'a appris. Et ne te fais pas l'avocat des traîtres

Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth so you may judge between the people by that which Allah has shown you. And do not be for the deceitful an advocate

وَاسْتَغْفِرِ اِ۬للَّهَۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ غَفُوراٗ رَّحِيماٗۖ ﱨ

Wastaghfiri llâha inna llâha kâna ghafûrar rahîmâ

Et implore d'Allah le pardon car Allah est certes Pardonneur et Miséricordieux

And seek forgiveness of Allah. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful

وَلَا تُجَٰدِلْ عَنِ اِ۬لذِينَ يَخْتَانُونَ أَنفُسَهُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ خَوَّاناً اَثِيماٗۖ ﱩ

Walâ tujâdil ‘ani lladhîna yakhtânûna anfusahumû inna llâha lâ yuhibbu man kâna khawwânana thîmâ

Et ne dispute pas en faveur de ceux qui se trahissent eux-mêmes. Allah, vraiment, n'aime pas le traître et le pécheur

And do not argue on behalf of those who deceive themselves. Indeed, Allah loves not one who is a habitually sinful deceiver

يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ اَ۬لنَّاسِ وَلَا يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ اَ۬للَّهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُمُۥٓ إِذْ يُبَيِّتُونَ مَا لَا يَرْض۪ىٰ مِنَ اَ۬لْقَوْلِۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطاًۖ ﱪ

Yastakhfûna mina nnâsi walâ yastakhfûna mina llâhi wahuwa ma‘ahumû idh yubayyitûna mâ lâ yardê mina lqawli wakâna llâhu bimâ ya‘malûna muhîah

Ils cherchent à se cacher des gens, mais ils ne cherchent pas à se cacher d'Allah. Or, Il est avec eux quand ils tiennent la nuit des paroles qu'Il (Allah) n'agrée pas. Et Allah ne cesse de cerner (par Sa science) ce qu'ils font

They conceal [their evil intentions and deeds] from the people, but they cannot conceal [them] from Allah, and He is with them [in His knowledge] when they spend the night in such as He does not accept of speech. And ever is Allah, of what they do, encompassing

هَآنتُمْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ جَٰدَلْتُمْ عَنْهُمْ فِے اِ۬لْحَيَوٰةِ اِ۬لدُّنْي۪ا فَمَنْ يُّجَٰدِلُ اُ۬للَّهَ عَنْهُمْ يَوْمَ اَ۬لْقِيَٰمَةِ أَم مَّنْ يَّكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكِيلاٗۖ ﱫ

Hântum hâ'ulâ'i jâdaltum ‘anhum fî lhayawâti ddunyê famay yujâdilu llâha ‘anhum yawma lqiyâmati am may yakûnu ‘alayhim wakîlâ

Voilà les gens en faveur desquels vous disputez dans la vie présente. Mais qui va disputer pour eux devant Allah au Jour de la Résurrection? Ou bien qui sera leur protecteur

Here you are - those who argue on their behalf in [this] worldly life - but who will argue with Allah for them on the Day of Resurrection, or who will [then] be their representative

وَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ سُوٓءاً اَوْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَهُۥ ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرِ اِ۬للَّهَ يَجِدِ اِ۬للَّهَ غَفُوراٗ رَّحِيماٗۖ ﱬ

Wamay ya‘mal sû'ana w yazlim nafsahû thumma yastaghfiri llâha yajidi llâha ghafûrar rahîmâ

Quiconque agit mal ou fait du tort à lui-même, puis aussitôt implore d'Allah le pardon, trouvera Allah Pardonneur et Miséricordieux

And whoever does a wrong or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness of Allah will find Allah Forgiving and Merciful

وَمَنْ يَّكْسِبِ اِثْماٗ فَإِنَّمَا يَكْسِبُهُۥ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلِيماً حَكِيماٗۖ ﱭ

Wamay yaksibi thman fa'innamâ yaksibuhû ‘alâ nafsihî wakâna llâhu ‘alîman hakîmâ

Quiconque acquiert un péché, ne l'acquiert que contre lui-même. Et Allah est Omniscient et Sage

And whoever commits a sin only earns it against himself. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise

وَمَنْ يَّكْسِبْ خَطِيٓـَٔةً اَوِ اِثْماٗ ثُمَّ يَرْمِ بِهِۦ بَرِيٓـٔاٗ فَقَدِ اِ۪حْتَمَلَ بُهْتَٰناٗ وَإِثْماٗ مُّبِيناٗۖ ﱮ

Wamay yaksib khatî'atana wi thman thumma yarmi bihî barî'an faqadi htamala buhtânan wa'ithmam mubînâ

Et quiconque acquiert une faute ou un péché puis en accuse un innocent, se rend coupable alors d'une injustice et d'un péché manifeste

But whoever earns an offense or a sin and then blames it on an innocent [person] has taken upon himself a slander and manifest sin

وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اُ۬للَّهِ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ لَهَمَّت طَّآئِفَةٞ مِّنْهُمُۥٓ أَنْ يُّضِلُّوكَۖ وَمَا يُضِلُّونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَضُرُّونَكَ مِن شَےْءٖۖ وَأَنزَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلَيْكَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَكَ مَا لَمْ تَكُن تَعْلَمُۖ وَكَانَ فَضْلُ اُ۬للَّهِ عَلَيْكَ عَظِيماٗۖ ﱯ

Walawlâ fadlu llâhi ‘alayka warahmatuhû lahammat tâ'ifatum minhumû ay yudillûka wamâ yudillûna illâ anfusahum wamâ yadurrûnaka min shay'in wa'anzala llâhu ‘alayka lkitâba walhikmata wa‘allamaka mâ lam takun ta‘lamu wakâna fadlu llâhi ‘alayka ‘azîmâ

Et n'eût été la grâce d'Allah sur toi (Muhammad) et Sa miséricorde, une partie d'entre eux t'aurait bien volontiers égaré. Mais ils n'égarent qu'eux-mêmes, et ne peuvent en rien te nuire. Allah a fait descendre sur toi le Livre et la Sagesse, et t'a enseigné ce que tu ne savais pas. Et la grâce d'Allah sur toi est immense

And if it was not for the favor of Allah upon you, [O Muhammad], and His mercy, a group of them would have determined to mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves, and they will not harm you at all. And Allah has revealed to you the Book and wisdom and has taught you that which you did not know. And ever has the favor of Allah upon you been great

۞ لَّا خَيْرَ فِے كَثِيرٖ مِّن نَّجْو۪يٰهُمُۥٓ إِلَّا مَنَ اَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ اَوْ مَعْرُوفٍ اَوِ اِصْلَٰحِۢ بَيْنَ اَ۬لنَّاسِۖ وَمَنْ يَّفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ اَ۪بْتِغَآءَ مَرْضَاتِ اِ۬للَّهِ فَسَوْفَ نُوتِيهِ أَجْراً عَظِيماٗۖ ﱰ

Lâ khayra fî kathîrim min najwêhumû illâ mana mara bisadaqatina w ma‘rûfina wi slâhim bayna nnâsi wamay yaf‘al dhâlika btighâ'a mardâti llâhi fasawfa nûtîhi ajran ‘azîmâ

Il n'y a rien de bon dans la plus grande partie de leurs conversations secrètes, sauf si l'un d'eux ordonne une charité, une bonne action, ou une conciliation entre les gens. Et quiconque le fait, cherchant l'agrément d'Allah, à celui-là Nous donnerons bientôt une récompense énorme

No good is there in much of their private conversation, except for those who enjoin charity or that which is right or conciliation between people. And whoever does that seeking means to the approval of Allah - then We are going to give him a great reward

وَمَنْ يُّشَاقِقِ اِ۬لرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ اُ۬لْهُد۪ىٰ وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ اِ۬لْمُومِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِۦ مَا تَوَلّ۪ىٰ وَنُصْلِهِۦ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيراًۖ ﱱ

Wamay yushâqiqi rrasûla mim ba‘di mâ tabayyana lahu lhudê wayattabi‘ ghayra sabîli lmûminîna nuwallihî mâ tawallê wanuslihî jahannama wasâ'at masîrâ

Et quiconque fait scission d'avec le Messager, après que le droit chemin lui est apparu et suit un sentier autre que celui des croyants, alors Nous le laisserons comme il s'est détourné, et le brûlerons dans l'Enfer. Et quelle mauvaise destination

And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination

اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُّشْرَكَ بِهِۦۖ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ يَّشَآءُۖ وَمَنْ يُّشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَد ضَّلَّ ضَلَٰلاَۢ بَعِيداًۖ ﱲ

Inna llâha lâ yaghfiru ay yushraka bihî wayaghfiru mâ dûna dhâlika limay yashâ'u wamay yushrik billâhi faqad dalla dalâlam ba‘îdâ

Certes, Allah ne pardonne pas qu'on Lui donne des associés. A part cela, Il pardonne à qui Il veut. Quiconque donne des associés à Allah s'égare, très loin dans l'égarement

Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray

اِنْ يَّدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ إِنَٰثاٗ وَإِنْ يَّدْعُونَ إِلَّا شَيْطَٰناٗ مَّرِيداٗ ﱳ

Iy yad‘ûna min dûnihî illâ inâthan wa'iy yad‘ûna illâ shaytânam marîdâ

Ce ne sont que des femelles qu'ils invoquent, en dehors de Lui. Et ce n'est qu'un diable rebelle qu'ils invoquent

They call upon instead of Him none but female [deities], and they [actually] call upon none but a rebellious Satan

لَّعَنَهُ اُ۬للَّهُۖ وَقَالَ لَأَتَّخِذَنَّ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ نَصِيباٗ مَّفْرُوضاٗ ﱴ

La‘anahu llâhu waqâla la'attakhidhanna min ‘ibâdika nasîbam mafrûdâ

Allah l'a (le Diable) maudit et celui-ci a dit: «Certainement, je saisirai parmi Tes serviteurs, une partie déterminée

Whom Allah has cursed. For he had said, "I will surely take from among Your servants a specific portion

وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُمْ وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُمْ وَلَأٓمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ ءَاذَانَ اَ۬لَانْعَٰمِ وَلَأٓمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اَ۬للَّهِۖ وَمَنْ يَّتَّخِذِ اِ۬لشَّيْطَٰنَ وَلِيّاٗ مِّن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ فَقَدْ خَسِرَ خُسْرَاناٗ مُّبِيناٗۖ ﱵ

Wala'udillannahum wala'umanniyannahum wala'murannahum falayubattikunna âdhâna lan‘âmi wala'murannahum falayughayyirunna khalqa llâhi wamay yattakhidhi shshaytâna waliyyam min dûni llâhi faqad khasira khusrânam mubînâ

Certes, je ne manquerai pas de les égarer, je leur donnerai de faux espoirs, je leur commanderai, et ils fendront les oreilles aux bestiaux; je leur commanderai, et ils altèreront la création d'Allah. Et quiconque prend le Diable pour allié au lieu d'Allah, sera, certes, voué à une perte évidente

And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them [sinful] desires, and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah." And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allah has certainly sustained a clear loss

يَعِدُهُمْ وَيُمَنِّيهِمْۖ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ اُ۬لشَّيْطَٰنُ إِلَّا غُرُوراًۖ ﱶ

Ya‘iduhum wayumannîhim wamâ ya‘iduhumu shshaytânu illâ ghurûrâ

Il leur fait des promesses et leur donne de faux espoirs. Et le Diable ne leur fait que des promesses trompeuses

Satan promises them and arouses desire in them. But Satan does not promise them except delusion

ا۟وْلَٰٓئِكَ مَأْو۪يٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ عَنْهَا مَحِيصاٗۖ ﱷ

Ulâ'ika ma'wêhum jahannamu walâ yajidûna ‘anhâ mahîsâ

Voilà ceux dont le refuge est l'Enfer. Et ils ne trouveront aucun moyen d'y échapper

The refuge of those will be Hell, and they will not find from it an escape

وَالذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجْرِے مِن تَحْتِهَا اَ۬لَانْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَداٗۖ وَعْدَ اَ۬للَّهِ حَقّاٗۖ وَمَنَ اَصْدَقُ مِنَ اَ۬للَّهِ قِيلاٗۖ ﱸ

Walladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti sanudkhiluhum jannâtin tajrî min tahtihâ lanhâru khâlidîna fîhâ abadan wa‘da llâhi haqqan wamana sdaqu mina llâhi qîlâ

Et quant à ceux qui ont cru et fait de bonnes œuvres, Nous les ferons entrer bientôt aux Jardins sous lesquels coulent les ruisseaux, pour y demeurer éternellement. Promesse d'Allah en vérité. Et qui est plus véridique qu'Allah en parole

But the ones who believe and do righteous deeds - We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. [It is] the promise of Allah, [which is] truth, and who is more truthful than Allah in statement

لَّيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلَآ أَمَانِيِّ أَهْلِ اِ۬لْكِتَٰبِۖ مَنْ يَّعْمَلْ سُوٓءاٗ يُجْزَ بِهِۦ وَلَا يَجِدْ لَهُۥ مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ وَلِيّاٗ وَلَا نَصِيراٗۖ ﱹ

Laysa bi'amâniyyikum walâ amâniyyi ahli lkitâbi may ya‘mal sû'an yujza bihî walâ yajid lahû min dûni llâhi waliyyan walâ nasîrâ

Ceci ne dépend ni de vos désirs ni des désirs des gens du Livre. Quiconque fait un mal sera rétribué pour cela, et ne trouvera en sa faveur, hors d'Allah, ni allié ni secoureur

Paradise is not [obtained] by your wishful thinking nor by that of the People of the Scripture. Whoever does a wrong will be recompensed for it, and he will not find besides Allah a protector or a helper

۞ وَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِنَ اَ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِن ذَكَرٍ اَوُ ا۟نث۪ىٰ وَهُوَ مُومِنٞ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ اَ۬لْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ نَقِيراٗۖ ﱺ

Wamay ya‘mal mina ssâlihâti min dhakarina wu unthê wahuwa mûminun fa'ulâ'ika yadkhulûna ljannata walâ yuzlamûna naqîrâ

Et quiconque, homme ou femme, fait de bonnes œuvres, tout en étant croyant... les voilà ceux qui entreront au Paradis; et on ne leur fera aucune injustice, fût-ce d'un creux de noyau de datte

And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer - those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged, [even as much as] the speck on a date seed

وَمَنَ اَحْسَنُ دِيناٗ مِّمَّنَ اَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُۥ لِلهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٞ وَاتَّبَعَ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفاٗۖ وَاتَّخَذَ اَ۬للَّهُ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ خَلِيلاٗۖ ﱻ

Wamana hsanu dînam mimmana slama wajhahû lillâhi wahuwa muhsinun wattaba‘a millata ibrâhîma hanîfan wattakhadha llâhu ibrâhîma khalîlâ

Qui est meilleur en religion que celui qui soumet à Allah son être, tout en se conformant à la Loi révélée et suivant la religion d'Abraham, homme de droiture? Et Allah avait pris Abraham pour ami privilégié

And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah while being a doer of good and follows the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth? And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend

وَلِلهِ مَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَےْءٖ مُّحِيطاٗۖ ﱼ

Walillâhi mâ fî ssamâwâti wamâ fî lardi wakâna llâhu bikulli shay'im muhîah

C'est à Allah qu'appartient tout ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre. Et Allah embrasse toute chose (de Sa science et de Sa puissance)

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And ever is Allah, of all things, encompassing

وَيَسْتَفْتُونَكَ فِے اِ۬لنِّسَآءِۖ قُلِ اِ۬للَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِيهِنَّ وَمَا يُتْل۪ىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فِے اِ۬لْكِتَٰبِ فِے يَتَٰمَى اَ۬لنِّسَآءِ اِ۬لتِے لَا تُوتُونَهُنَّ مَا كُتِبَ لَهُنَّ وَتَرْغَبُونَ أَن تَنكِحُوهُنَّ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ اَ۬لْوِلْدَٰنِ وَأَن تَقُومُواْ لِلْيَتَٰم۪ىٰ بِالْقِسْطِۖ وَمَا تَفْعَلُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٖ فَإِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ بِهِۦ عَلِيماٗۖ ﱽ

Wayastaftûnaka fî nnisâ'i quli llâhu yuftîkum fîhinna wamâ yutlê ‘alaykum fî lkitâbi fî yatâmâ nnisâ'i llatî lâ tûtûnahunna mâ kutiba lahunna watarghabûna an tankihûhunna walmustad‘afîna mina lwildâni wa'an taqûmû lilyatâmê bilqisti wamâ taf‘alû min khayrin fa'inna llâha kâna bihî ‘alîmâ

Et ils te consultent à propos de ce qui a été décrété au sujet des femmes. Dis: «Allah vous donne Son décret là-dessus, en plus de ce qui vous est récité dans le Livre, au sujet des orphelines auxquelles vous ne donnez pas ce qui leur a été prescrit, et que vous désirez épouser, et au sujet des mineurs encore d'âge faible». Vous devez agir avec équité envers les orphelins. Et de tout ce que vous faites de bien, Allah en est, certes, Omniscient

And they request from you, [O Muhammad], a [legal] ruling concerning women. Say, "Allah gives you a ruling about them and [about] what has been recited to you in the Book concerning the orphan girls to whom you do not give what is decreed for them - and [yet] you desire to marry them - and concerning the oppressed among children and that you maintain for orphans [their rights] in justice." And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is ever Knowing of it

وَإِنِ اِ۪مْرَأَةٌ خَافَتْ مِنۢ بَعْلِهَا نُشُوزاً اَوِ اِعْرَاضاٗ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَآ أَنْ يَّصَّٰلَحَا بَيْنَهُمَا صُلْحاٗۖ وَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٞۖ وَأُحْضِرَتِ اِ۬لَانفُسُ اُ۬لشُّحَّۖ وَإِن تُحْسِنُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَإِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيراٗۖ ﱾ

Wa'ini mra'atun khâfat mim ba‘lihâ nushûzana wi ‘râdan falâ junâha ‘alayhimâ ay yassâlahâ baynahumâ sulhan wassulhu khayrun wa'uhdirati lanfusu shshuhha wa'in tuhsinû watattaqû fa'inna llâha kâna bimâ ta‘malûna khabîrâ

Et si une femme craint de son mari abandon ou indifférence, alors ce n'est pas un péché pour les deux s'ils se réconcilient par un compromis quelconque, et la réconciliation est meilleure, puisque les âmes sont portées à la ladrerie. Mais si vous agissez en bien et vous êtes pieux... Allah est, certes, Parfaitement Connaisseur de ce que vous faites

And if a woman fears from her husband contempt or evasion, there is no sin upon them if they make terms of settlement between them - and settlement is best. And present in [human] souls is stinginess. But if you do good and fear Allah - then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted

وَلَن تَسْتَطِيعُوٓاْ أَن تَعْدِلُواْ بَيْنَ اَ۬لنِّسَآءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْۖ فَلَا تَمِيلُواْ كُلَّ اَ۬لْمَيْلِ فَتَذَرُوهَا كَالْمُعَلَّقَةِۖ وَإِن تُصْلِحُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَإِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ غَفُوراٗ رَّحِيماٗۖ ﱿ

Walan tastatî‘û an ta‘dilû bayna nnisâ'i walaw harastum falâ tamîlû kulla lmayli fatadharûhâ kalmu‘allaqati wa'in tuslihû watattaqû fa'inna llâha kâna ghafûrar rahîmâ

Vous ne pourrez jamais être équitables entre vos femmes, même si vous en êtes soucieux. Ne vous penchez pas tout à fait vers l'une d'elles, au point de laisser l'autre comme en suspens. Mais si vous vous réconciliez et vous êtes pieux... donc Allah est, certes, Pardonneur et Miséricordieux

And you will never be able to be equal [in feeling] between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. So do not incline completely [toward one] and leave another hanging. And if you amend [your affairs] and fear Allah - then indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful

۞ وَإِنْ يَّتَفَرَّقَا يُغْنِ اِ۬للَّهُ كُلّاٗ مِّن سَعَتِهِۦۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ وَٰسِعاً حَكِيماٗۖ ﲀ

Wa'iy yatafarraqâ yughni llâhu kullam min sa‘atihî wakâna llâhu wâsi‘an hakîmâ

Si les deux se séparent, Allah de par Sa largesse, accordera à chacun d'eux un autre destin. Et Allah est plein de largesses et parfaitement Sage

But if they separate [by divorce], Allah will enrich each [of them] from His abundance. And ever is Allah Encompassing and Wise

وَلِلهِ مَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا اَ۬لذِينَ أُوتُواْ اُ۬لْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمُۥٓ أَنِ اِ۪تَّقُواْ اُ۬للَّهَۖ وَإِن تَكْفُرُواْ فَإِنَّ لِلهِ مَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ غَنِيّاً حَمِيداٗۖ ﲁ

Walillâhi mâ fî ssamâwâti wamâ fî lardi walaqad wassaynâ lladhîna ûtû lkitâba min qablikum wa'iyyâkumû ani ttaqû llâha wa'in takfurû fa'inna lillâhi mâ fî ssamâwâti wamâ fî lardi wakâna llâhu ghaniyyan hamîdâ

A Allah seul appartient tout ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre. «Craignez Allah!» Voilà ce que Nous avons enjoint à ceux auxquels avant vous le Livre fut donné, tout comme à vous-mêmes. Et si vous ne croyez pas (cela ne nuit pas à Allah, car) très certainement à Allah seul appartient tout ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre. Et Allah se suffit à Lui-même et Il est digne de louange

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And We have instructed those who were given the Scripture before you and yourselves to fear Allah. But if you disbelieve - then to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And ever is Allah Free of need and Praiseworthy

وَلِلهِ مَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ وَكَف۪ىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلاًۖ ﲂ

Walillâhi mâ fî ssamâwâti wamâ fî lardi wakafê billâhi wakîlâ

A Allah seul appartient tout ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre. Et Allah suffit pour s'occuper de tout

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs

اِنْ يَّشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمُۥٓ أَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّاسُ وَيَاتِ بِـَٔاخَرِينَۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ قَدِيراٗۖ ﲃ

Iy yasha' yudhhibkumû ayyuhâ nnâsu wayâti bi'âkharîna wakâna llâhu ‘alâ dhâlika qadîrâ

S'Il voulait, il vous ferait disparaître, ô gens, et en ferait venir d'autres. Car Allah en est très capable

If He wills, He can do away with you, O people, and bring others [in your place]. And ever is Allah competent to do that

مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ثَوَابَ اَ۬لدُّنْي۪ا فَعِندَ اَ۬للَّهِ ثَوَابُ اُ۬لدُّنْي۪ا وَالَاخِرَةِۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ سَمِيعاَۢ بَصِيراٗۖ ﲄ

Man kâna yurîdu thawâba ddunyê fa‘inda llâhi thawâbu ddunyê walakhirati wakâna llâhu samî‘am basîrâ

Quiconque désire la récompense d'ici-bas, c'est auprès d'Allah qu'est la récompense d'ici-bas tout comme celle de l'au-delà. Et Allah entend et observe tout

Whoever desires the reward of this world - then with Allah is the reward of this world and the Hereafter. And ever is Allah Hearing and Seeing

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُونُواْ قَوَّٰمِينَ بِالْقِسْطِ شُهَدَآءَ لِلهِ وَلَوْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمُۥٓ أَوِ اِ۬لْوَٰلِدَيْنِ وَالَاقْرَبِينَۖ إِنْ يَّكُنْ غَنِيّاً اَوْ فَقِيراٗ فَاللَّهُ أَوْل۪ىٰ بِهِمَا فَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ اُ۬لْهَو۪ىٰٓ أَن تَعْدِلُواْۖ وَإِن تَلْوُۥٓاْ أَوْ تُعْرِضُواْ فَإِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيراٗۖ ﲅ

Yâ'ayyuhâ lladhîna âmanû kûnû qawwâmîna bilqisti shuhadâ'a lillâhi walaw ‘alâ anfusikumû awi lwâlidayni walaqrabîna iy yakun ghaniyyana w faqîran fallâhu awlê bihimâ falâ tattabi‘û lhawê an ta‘dilû wa'in talwû aw tu‘ridû fa'inna llâha kâna bimâ ta‘malûna khabîrâ

O les croyants! Observez strictement la justice et soyez des témoins (véridiques) comme Allah l'ordonne, fût-ce contre vous-mêmes, contre vos père et mère ou proches parents. Qu'il s'agisse d'un riche ou d'un besogneux, Allah a priorité sur eux deux (et Il est plus connaisseur de leur intérêt que vous). Ne suivez donc pas les passions, afin de ne pas dévier de la justice. Si vous portez un faux témoignage ou si vous le refusez, [sachez qu'] Allah est Parfaitement Connaisseur de ce que vous faites

O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ ءَامِنُواْ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَالْكِتَٰبِ اِ۬لذِے نَزَّلَ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ وَالْكِتَٰبِ اِ۬لذِےٓ أَنزَلَ مِن قَبْلُۖ وَمَنْ يَّكْفُرْ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَالْيَوْمِ اِ۬لَاخِرِ فَقَد ضَّلَّ ضَلَٰلاَۢ بَعِيداًۖ ﲆ

Yâ'ayyuhâ lladhîna âmanû âminû billâhi warasûlihî walkitâbi lladhî nazzala ‘alâ rasûlihî walkitâbi lladhî anzala min qablu wamay yakfur billâhi wamalâ'ikatihî wakutubihî warusulihî walyawmi lakhiri faqad dalla dalâlam ba‘îdâ

O les croyants! Soyez fermes en votre foi en Allah, en Son messager, au Livre qu'Il a fait descendre sur Son messager, et au Livre qu'Il a fait descendre avant. Quiconque ne croit pas en Allah, en Ses anges, en Ses Livres, en Ses messagers et au Jour dernier, s'égare, loin dans l'égarement

O you who have believed, believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Book that He sent down upon His Messenger and the Scripture which He sent down before. And whoever disbelieves in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day has certainly gone far astray

اِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ثُمَّ كَفَرُواْ ثُمَّ ءَامَنُواْ ثُمَّ كَفَرُواْ ثُمَّ اَ۪زْدَادُواْ كُفْراٗ لَّمْ يَكُنِ اِ۬للَّهُ لِيَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ وَلَا لِيَهْدِيَهُمْ سَبِيلاَۢۖ ﲇ

Inna lladhîna âmanû thumma kafarû thumma âmanû thumma kafarû thumma zdâdû kufral lam yakuni llâhu liyaghfira lahum walâ liyahdiyahum sabîlam

Ceux qui ont cru, puis sont devenus mécréants, puis ont cru de nouveau, ensuite sont redevenus mécréants, et n'ont fait que croître en mécréance, Allah ne leur pardonnera pas, ni les guidera vers un chemin (droit)

Indeed, those who have believed then disbelieved, then believed, then disbelieved, and then increased in disbelief - never will Allah forgive them, nor will He guide them to a way

بَشِّرِ اِ۬لْمُنَٰفِقِينَ بِأَنَّ لَهُمْ عَذَاباً اَلِيماً ﲈ

Bashshiri lmunâfiqîna bi'anna lahum ‘adhâbana lîmâ

Annonce aux hypocrites qu'il y a pour eux un châtiment douloureux

Give tidings to the hypocrites that there is for them a painful punishment

اِ۬لذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ اَ۬لْكٰ۪فِرِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ اِ۬لْمُومِنِينَۖ أَيَبْتَغُونَ عِندَهُمُ اُ۬لْعِزَّةَ فَإِنَّ اَ۬لْعِزَّةَ لِلهِ جَمِيعاٗۖ ﲉ

Alladhîna yattakhidhûna lkêfirîna awliyâ'a min dûni lmûminîna ayabtaghûna ‘indahumu l‘izzata fa'inna l‘izzata lillâhi jamî‘â

ceux qui prennent pour alliés des mécréants au lieu des croyants, est-ce la puissance qu'ils recherchent auprès d'eux? (En vérité) la puissance appartient entièrement à Allah

Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do they seek with them honor [through power]? But indeed, honor belongs to Allah entirely

۞ وَقَدْ نُزِّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِے اِ۬لْكِتَٰبِ أَنِ اِذَا سَمِعْتُمُۥٓ ءَايَٰتِ اِ۬للَّهِ يُكْفَرُ بِهَا وَيُسْتَهْزَأُ بِهَا فَلَا تَقْعُدُواْ مَعَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُواْ فِے حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّكُمُۥٓ إِذاٗ مِّثْلُهُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ جَامِعُ اُ۬لْمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَالْكٰ۪فِرِينَ فِے جَهَنَّمَ جَمِيعاً ﲊ

Waqad nuzzila ‘alaykum fî lkitâbi ani dhâ sami‘tumû âyâti llâhi yukfaru bihâ wayustahza'u bihâ falâ taq‘udû ma‘ahum hattâ yakhûdû fî hadîthin ghayrihî innakumû idham mithluhumû inna llâha jâmi‘u lmunâfiqîna walkêfirîna fî jahannama jamî‘â

Dans le Livre, Il vous a déjà révélé ceci: lorsque vous entendez qu'on renie les versets (le Coran) d'Allah et qu'on s'en raille, ne vous asseyez point avec ceux-là jusqu'à ce qu'ils entreprennent une autre conversation. Sinon, vous serez comme eux. Allah rassemblera, certes, les hypocrites et les mécréants, tous, dans l'Enfer

And it has already come down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them. Indeed Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together

اِ۬لذِينَ يَتَرَبَّصُونَ بِكُمْ فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ فَتْحٞ مِّنَ اَ۬للَّهِ قَالُوٓاْ أَلَمْ نَكُن مَّعَكُمْ وَإِن كَانَ لِلْكٰ۪فِرِينَ نَصِيبٞ قَالُوٓاْ أَلَمْ نَسْتَحْوِذْ عَلَيْكُمْ وَنَمْنَعْكُم مِّنَ اَ۬لْمُومِنِينَۖ فَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ اَ۬لْقِيَٰمَةِۖ وَلَنْ يَّجْعَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ لِلْكٰ۪فِرِينَ عَلَى اَ۬لْمُومِنِينَ سَبِيلاًۖ ﲋ

Alladhîna yatarabbasûna bikum fa'in kâna lakum fathum mina llâhi qâlû alam nakum ma‘akum wa'in kâna lilkêfirîna nasîbun qâlû alam nastahwidh ‘alaykum wanamna‘kum mina lmûminîna fallâhu yahkumu baynakum yawma lqiyâmati walay yaj‘ala llâhu lilkêfirîna ‘alâ lmûminîna sabîlâ

Ils restent dans l'expectative à votre égard; si une victoire vous vient de la part d'Allah, ils disent: «N'étions-nous pas avec vous?» et s'il en revient un avantage aux mécréants, ils leur disent: «Est-ce que nous n'avons pas mis la main sur vous pour vous soustraire aux croyants?» Eh bien, Allah jugera entre vous au Jour de la Résurrection. Et jamais Allah ne donnera une voie aux mécréants contre les croyants

Those who wait [and watch] you. Then if you gain a victory from Allah, they say, "Were we not with you?" But if the disbelievers have a success, they say [to them], "Did we not gain the advantage over you, but we protected you from the believers?" Allah will judge between [all of] you on the Day of Resurrection, and never will Allah give the disbelievers over the believers a way [to overcome them]

اِنَّ اَ۬لْمُنَٰفِقِينَ يُخَٰدِعُونَ اَ۬للَّهَ وَهُوَ خَٰدِعُهُمْۖ وَإِذَا قَامُوٓاْ إِلَى اَ۬لصَّلَوٰةِ قَامُواْ كُسَال۪ىٰ يُرَآءُونَ اَ۬لنَّاسَ وَلَا يَذْكُرُونَ اَ۬للَّهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلاٗ ﲌ

Inna lmunâfiqîna yukhâdi‘ûna llâha wahuwa khâdi‘uhum wa'idhâ qâmû ilâ ssalawâti qâmû kusâlê yurâ'ûna nnâsa walâ yadhkurûna llâha illâ qalîlâ

Les hypocrites cherchent à tromper Allah, mais Allah retourne leur tromperie (contre eux-mêmes). Et lorsqu'ils se lèvent pour la Salât, ils se lèvent avec paresse et par ostentation envers les gens. A peine invoquent-ils Allah

Indeed, the hypocrites [think to] deceive Allah, but He is deceiving them. And when they stand for prayer, they stand lazily, showing [themselves to] the people and not remembering Allah except a little

مُّذَبْذَبِينَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ لَآ إِلَىٰ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَلَآ إِلَىٰ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِۖ وَمَنْ يُّضْلِلِ اِ۬للَّهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ سَبِيلاٗۖ ﲍ

Mudhabdhabîna bayna dhâlika lâ ilâ hâ'ulâ'i walâ ilâ hâ'ulâ'i wamay yudlili llâhu falan tajida lahû sabîlâ

Ils sont indécis (entre les croyants et les mécréants,) n'appartenant ni aux uns ni aux autres. Or, quiconque Allah égare, jamais tu ne trouveras de chemin pour lui

Wavering between them, [belonging] neither to the believers nor to the disbelievers. And whoever Allah leaves astray - never will you find for him a way

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّخِذُواْ اُ۬لْكٰ۪فِرِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ اِ۬لْمُومِنِينَۖ أَتُرِيدُونَ أَن تَجْعَلُواْ لِلهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَٰناٗ مُّبِيناًۖ ﲎ

Yâ'ayyuhâ lladhîna âmanû lâ tattakhidhû lkêfirîna awliyâ'a min dûni lmûminîna aturîdûna an taj‘alû lillâhi ‘alaykum sultânam mubînâ

O les croyants! Ne prenez pas pour alliés les mécréants au lieu des croyants. Voudriez-vous donner à Allah une preuve évidente contre vous

O you who have believed, do not take the disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do you wish to give Allah against yourselves a clear case

اِنَّ اَ۬لْمُنَٰفِقِينَ فِے اِ۬لدَّرَكِ اِ۬لَاسْفَلِ مِنَ اَ۬لنّ۪ارِ وَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُمْ نَصِيراًۖ ﲏ

Inna lmunâfiqîna fî ddaraki lasfali mina nnêri walan tajida lahum nasîrâ

Les hypocrites seront, certes, au plus bas fond du Feu, et tu ne leur trouveras jamais de secoureur

Indeed, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire - and never will you find for them a helper

اِلَّا اَ۬لذِينَ تَابُواْ وَأَصْلَحُواْ وَاعْتَصَمُواْ بِاللَّهِ وَأَخْلَصُواْ دِينَهُمْ لِلهِ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مَعَ اَ۬لْمُومِنِينَۖ وَسَوْفَ يُوتِ اِ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لْمُومِنِينَ أَجْراً عَظِيماٗۖ ﲐ

Illâ lladhîna tâbû wa'aslahû wa‘tasamû billâhi wa'akhlasû dînahum lillâhi fa'ulâ'ika ma‘a lmûminîna wasawfa yûti llâhu lmûminîna ajran ‘azîmâ

sauf ceux qui se repentent, s'amendent, s'attachent fermement à Allah, et Lui vouent une foi exclusive. Ceux-là seront avec les croyants. Et Allah donnera aux croyants une énorme récompense

Except for those who repent, correct themselves, hold fast to Allah, and are sincere in their religion for Allah, for those will be with the believers. And Allah is going to give the believers a great reward

مَّا يَفْعَلُ اُ۬للَّهُ بِعَذَابِكُمُۥٓ إِن شَكَرْتُمْ وَءَامَنتُمْۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ شَاكِراً عَلِيماٗۖ ﲑ

Mâ yaf‘alu llâhu bi‘adhâbikumû in shakartum wa'âmantum wakâna llâhu shâkiran ‘alîmâ

Pourquoi Allah vous infligerait-Il un châtiment si vous êtes reconnaissants et croyants? Allah est Reconnaissant et Omniscient

What would Allah do with your punishment if you are grateful and believe? And ever is Allah Appreciative and Knowing

۞ لَّا يُحِبُّ اُ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لْجَهْرَ بِالسُّوٓءِ مِنَ اَ۬لْقَوْلِ إِلَّا مَن ظُلِمَۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ سَمِيعاً عَلِيماًۖ ﲒ

Lâ yuhibbu llâhu ljahra bissû'i mina lqawli illâ man zulima wakâna llâhu samî‘an ‘alîmâ

Allah n'aime pas qu'on profère de mauvaises paroles sauf quand on a été injustement provoqué. Et Allah est Audient et Omniscient

Allah does not like the public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged. And ever is Allah Hearing and Knowing

اِن تُبْدُواْ خَيْراً اَوْ تُخْفُوهُ أَوْ تَعْفُواْ عَن سُوٓءٖ فَإِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوّاٗ قَدِيراًۖ ﲓ

In tubdû khayrana w tukhfûhu aw ta‘fû ‘an sû'in fa'inna llâha kâna ‘afuwwan qadîrâ

Que vous fassiez du bien, ouvertement ou en cachette, ou bien que vous pardonniez un mal... Alors Allah est Pardonneur et Omnipotent

If [instead] you show [some] good or conceal it or pardon an offense - indeed, Allah is ever Pardoning and Competent

اِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُّفَرِّقُواْ بَيْنَ اَ۬للَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَيَقُولُونَ نُومِنُ بِبَعْضٖ وَنَكْفُرُ بِبَعْضٖ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَّتَّخِذُواْ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ سَبِيلاً ﲔ

Inna lladhîna yakfurûna billâhi warusulihî wayurîdûna ay yufarriqû bayna llâhi warusulihî wayaqûlûna nûminu biba‘din wanakfuru biba‘din wayurîdûna ay yattakhidhû bayna dhâlika sabîlâ

Ceux qui ne croient pas en Allah et en Ses messagers, et qui veulent faire distinction entre Allah et Ses messagers et qui disent: «Nous croyons en certains d'entre eux mais ne croyons pas en d'autres», et qui veulent prendre un chemin intermédiaire (entre la foi et la mécréance)

Indeed, those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers and wish to discriminate between Allah and His messengers and say, "We believe in some and disbelieve in others," and wish to adopt a way in between

ا۟وْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ اُ۬لْكَٰفِرُونَ حَقّاٗۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكٰ۪فِرِينَ عَذَاباٗ مُّهِيناٗۖ ﲕ

Ulâ'ika humu lkâfirûna haqqan wa'a‘tadnâ lilkêfirîna ‘adhâbam muhînâ

les voilà les vrais mécréants! Et Nous avons préparé pour les mécréants un châtiment avilissant

Those are the disbelievers, truly. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment

وَالذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَلَمْ يُفَرِّقُواْ بَيْنَ أَحَدٖ مِّنْهُمُۥٓ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ سَوْفَ نُوتِيهِمُۥٓ أُجُورَهُمْۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ غَفُوراٗ رَّحِيماٗۖ ﲖ

Walladhîna âmanû billâhi warusulihî walam yufarriqû bayna ahadim minhumû ulâ'ika sawfa nûtîhimû ujûrahum wakâna llâhu ghafûrar rahîmâ

Et ceux qui croient en Allah et en Ses messagers et qui ne font point de différence entre ces derniers, voilà ceux à qui Il donnera leurs récompenses. Et Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux

But they who believe in Allah and His messengers and do not discriminate between any of them - to those He is going to give their rewards. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful

يَسْـَٔلُكَ أَهْلُ اُ۬لْكِتَٰبِ أَن تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ كِتَٰباٗ مِّنَ اَ۬لسَّمَآءِۖ فَقَدْ سَأَلُواْ مُوس۪ىٰٓ أَكْبَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ فَقَالُوٓاْ أَرِنَا اَ۬للَّهَ جَهْرَةٗ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ اُ۬لصَّٰعِقَةُ بِظُلْمِهِمْۖ ثُمَّ اَ۪تَّخَذُواْ اُ۬لْعِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ اُ۬لْبَيِّنَٰتُ فَعَفَوْنَا عَن ذَٰلِكَۖ وَءَاتَيْنَا مُوس۪ىٰ سُلْطَٰناٗ مُّبِيناٗۖ ﲗ

Yas'aluka ahlu lkitâbi an tunazzila ‘alayhim kitâbam mina ssamâ'i faqad sa'alû mûsê akbara min dhâlika faqâlû arinâ llâha jahratan fa'akhadhathumu ssâ‘iqatu bizulmihim thumma ttakhadhû l‘ijla mim ba‘di mâ jâ'athumu lbayyinâtu fa‘afawnâ ‘an dhâlika wa'âtaynâ mûsê sultânam mubînâ

Les gens du Livre te demandent de leur faire descendre du ciel un Livre. Ils ont déjà demandé à Moïse quelque chose de bien plus grave quand ils dirent: «Fais-nous voir Allah à découvert!» Alors la foudre les frappa pour leur tort. Puis ils adoptèrent le Veau (comme idole) même après que les preuves leur furent venues. Nous leur pardonnâmes cela et donnâmes à Moïse une autorité déclarée

The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. But they had asked of Moses [even] greater than that and said, "Show us Allah outright," so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf [for worship] after clear evidences had come to them, and We pardoned that. And We gave Moses a clear authority

وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ اُ۬لطُّورَ بِمِيثَٰقِهِمْۖ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ اُ۟دْخُلُواْ اُ۬لْبَابَ سُجَّداٗۖ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعَدُّواْ فِے اِ۬لسَّبْتِۖ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَٰقاً غَلِيظاٗۖ ﲘ

Warafa‘nâ fawqahumu ttûra bimîthâqihim waqulnâ lahumu dkhulû lbâba sujjadan waqulnâ lahum lâ ta‘addû fî ssabti wa'akhadhnâ minhum mîthâqan ghalîzâ

Et pour (obtenir) leur engagement, Nous avons brandi au-dessus d'eux le Mont Tor, Nous leur avons dit: «Entrez par la porte en vous prosternant» Nous leur avons dit: «Ne transgressez pas le Sabbat» et Nous avons pris d'eux un engagement ferme

And We raised over them the mount for [refusal of] their covenant; and We said to them, "Enter the gate bowing humbly", and We said to them, "Do not transgress on the sabbath", and We took from them a solemn covenant

فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِم بِـَٔايَٰتِ اِ۬للَّهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ اُ۬لَانۢبِئَآءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقّٖ وَقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفُۢ بَلْ طَبَعَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُومِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلاٗ ﲙ

Fabimâ naqdihim mîthâqahum wakufrihim bi'âyâti llâhi waqatlihimu lambî'â'a bighayri haqqin waqawlihim qulûbunâ ghulfum bal taba‘a llâhu ‘alayhâ bikufrihim falâ yûminûna illâ qalîlâ

(Nous les avons maudits) à cause de leur rupture de l'engagement, leur mécréance aux révélations d'Allah, leur meurtre injustifié des prophètes, et leur parole: «Nos cœurs sont (enveloppés) et imperméables». En réalité, c'est Allah qui a scellé leurs cœurs à cause de leur mécréance, car ils ne croyaient que très peu

And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped". Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few

وَبِكُفْرِهِمْ وَقَوْلِهِمْ عَلَىٰ مَرْيَمَ بُهْتَٰناً عَظِيماٗ ﲚ

Wabikufrihim waqawlihim ‘alâ maryama buhtânan ‘azîmâ

Et à cause de leur mécréance et de l'énorme calomnie qu'ils prononcent contre Marie

And [We cursed them] for their disbelief and their saying against Mary a great slander

وَقَوْلِهِمُۥٓ إِنَّا قَتَلْنَا اَ۬لْمَسِيحَ عِيسَى اَ۪بْنَ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولَ اَ۬للَّهِۖ ۞ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَٰكِن شُبِّهَ لَهُمْۖ وَإِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ اَ۪خْتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ لَفِے شَكّٖ مِّنْهُۖ مَا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍۖ اِلَّا اَ۪تِّبَاعَ اَ۬لظَّنِّۖ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِيناَۢۖ ﲛ

Waqawlihimû innâ qatalnâ lmasîha ‘îsâ bna maryama rasûla llâhi wamâ qatalûhu wamâ salabûhu walâkin shubbiha lahum wa'inna lladhîna khtalafû fîhi lafî shakkim minhu mâ lahum bihî min ‘ilmini llâ ttibâ‘a zzanni wamâ qatalûhu yaqînam

et à cause de leur parole: «Nous avons vraiment tué le Christ, Jésus, fils de Marie, le Messager d'Allah»... Or, ils ne l'ont ni tué ni crucifié; mais ce n'était qu'un faux semblant! Et ceux qui ont discuté sur son sujet sont vraiment dans l'incertitude: ils n'en ont aucune connaissance certaine, ils ne font que suivre des conjectures et ils ne l'ont certainement pas tué

And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain

بَل رَّفَعَهُ اُ۬للَّهُ إِلَيْهِۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَزِيزاً حَكِيماٗۖ ﲜ

Bal rafa‘ahu llâhu ilayhi wakâna llâhu ‘azîzan hakîmâ

mais Allah l'a élevé vers Lui. Et Allah est Puissant et Sage

Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise

وَإِن مِّنَ اَهْلِ اِ۬لْكِتَٰبِ إِلَّا لَيُومِنَنَّ بِهِۦ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِۦ وَيَوْمَ اَ۬لْقِيَٰمَةِ يَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيداٗۖ ﲝ

Wa'im mina hli lkitâbi illâ layûminanna bihî qabla mawtihî wayawma lqiyâmati yakûnu ‘alayhim shahîdâ

Il n'y aura personne, parmi les gens du Livre, qui n'aura pas foi en lui avant sa mort. Et au Jour de la Résurrection, il sera témoin contre eux

And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in Jesus before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection he will be against them a witness

فَبِظُلْمٖ مِّنَ اَ۬لذِينَ هَادُواْ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ طَيِّبَٰتٍ ا۟حِلَّتْ لَهُمْ وَبِصَدِّهِمْ عَن سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِ كَثِيراٗ ﲞ

Fabizulmim mina lladhîna hâdû harramnâ ‘alayhim tayyibâtin uhillat lahum wabisaddihim ‘an sabîli llâhi kathîrâ

C'est à cause des iniquités des Juifs que Nous leur avons rendu illicites les bonnes nourritures qui leur étaient licites, et aussi à cause de ce qu'ils obstruent le sentier d'Allah, (à eux-mêmes et) à beaucoup de monde

For wrongdoing on the part of the Jews, We made unlawful for them [certain] good foods which had been lawful to them, and for their averting from the way of Allah many [people]

وَأَخْذِهِمُ اُ۬لرِّبَوٰاْ وَقَدْ نُهُواْ عَنْهُ وَأَكْلِهِمُۥٓ أَمْوَٰلَ اَ۬لنَّاسِ بِالْبَٰطِلِۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكٰ۪فِرِينَ مِنْهُمْ عَذَاباً اَلِيماٗۖ ﲟ

Wa'akhdhihimu rribawâ waqad nuhû ‘anhu wa'aklihimû amwâla nnâsi bilbâtili wa'a‘tadnâ lilkêfirîna minhum ‘adhâbana lîmâ

et à cause de ce qu'ils prennent des intérêts usuraires- qui leur étaient pourtant interdits - et parce qu'ils mangent illégalement les biens des gens. A ceux d'entre eux qui sont mécréants Nous avons préparé un châtiment douloureux

And [for] their taking of usury while they had been forbidden from it, and their consuming of the people's wealth unjustly. And we have prepared for the disbelievers among them a painful punishment

لَّٰكِنِ اِ۬لرَّٰسِخُونَ فِے اِ۬لْعِلْمِ مِنْهُمْ وَالْمُومِنُونَ يُومِنُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ وَالْمُقِيمِينَ اَ۬لصَّلَوٰةَۖ وَالْمُوتُونَ اَ۬لزَّكَوٰةَ وَالْمُومِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ اِ۬لَاخِرِ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ سَنُوتِيهِمُۥٓ أَجْراً عَظِيماًۖ ﲠ

Lâkini rrâsikhûna fî l‘ilmi minhum walmûminûna yûminûna bimâ unzila ilayka wamâ unzila min qablika walmuqîmîna ssalawâta walmûtûna zzakawâta walmûminûna billâhi walyawmi lakhiri ulâ'ika sanûtîhimû ajran ‘azîmâ

Mais ceux d'entre eux qui sont enracinés dans la connaissance, ainsi que les croyants, (tous) ont foi à ce qu'on a fait descendre sur toi et à ce qu'on a fait descendre avant toi. Et quant à ceux qui accomplissent la Salât, paient la Zakât et croient en Allah et au Jour dernier, ceux-là Nous leur donnerons une énorme récompense

But those firm in knowledge among them and the believers believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you. And the establishers of prayer [especially] and the givers of zakah and the believers in Allah and the Last Day - those We will give a great reward

اِنَّآ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ كَمَآ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ نُوحٖ وَالنَّبِيٓـِٕۧنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦۖ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالَاسْبَاطِ وَعِيس۪ىٰ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُونُسَ وَهَٰرُونَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَۖ وَءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ زَبُوراٗۖ ﲡ

Innâ awhaynâ ilayka kamâ awhaynâ ilâ nûhin wannabî'ina mim ba‘dihî wa'awhaynâ ilâ ibrâhîma wa'ismâ‘îla wa'ishâqa waya‘qûba walasbâti wa‘îsê wa'ayyûba wayûnusa wahârûna wasulaymâna wa'âtaynâ dâwûda zabûrâ

Nous t'avons fait une révélation comme Nous fîmes à Noé et aux prophètes après lui. Et Nous avons fait révélation à Abraham, à Ismaël, à Isaac, à Jacob aux Tribus, à Jésus, à Job, à Jonas, à Aaron et à Salomon, et Nous avons donné le Zabour à David

Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And we revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms]

وَرُسُلاٗ قَدْ قَصَصْنَٰهُمْ عَلَيْكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَرُسُلاٗ لَّمْ نَقْصُصْهُمْ عَلَيْكَۖ وَكَلَّمَ اَ۬للَّهُ مُوس۪ىٰ تَكْلِيماٗۖ ﲢ

Warusulan qad qasasnâhum ‘alayka min qablu warusulal lam naqsushum ‘alayka wakallama llâhu mûsê taklîmâ

Et il y a des messagers dont Nous t'avons raconté l'histoire précédemment, et des messagers dont Nous ne t'avons point raconté l'histoire - et Allah a parlé à Moïse de vive voix

And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to you before and messengers about whom We have not related to you. And Allah spoke to Moses with [direct] speech

رُّسُلاٗ مُّبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ لِيَ۬لَّا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ حُجَّةُۢ بَعْدَ اَ۬لرُّسُلِۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَزِيزاً حَكِيماٗۖ ﲣ

Rusulam mubashshirîna wamundhirîna liyallâ yakûna linnâsi ‘alâ llâhi hujjatum ba‘da rrusuli wakâna llâhu ‘azîzan hakîmâ

en tant que messagers, annonciateurs et avertisseurs, afin qu'après la venue des messagers il n'y eût pour les gens point d'argument devant Allah. Allah est Puissant et Sage

[We sent] messengers as bringers of good tidings and warners so that mankind will have no argument against Allah after the messengers. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise

۞ لَّٰكِنِ اِ۬للَّهُ يَشْهَدُ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكَۖ أَنزَلَهُۥ بِعِلْمِهِۦ وَالْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَشْهَدُونَۖ وَكَف۪ىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيداًۖ ﲤ

Lâkini llâhu yashhadu bimâ anzala ilayka anzalahû bi‘ilmihî walmalâ'ikatu yashhadûna wakafê billâhi shahîdâ

Mais Allah témoigne de ce qu'Il a fait descendre vers toi, Il l'a fait descendre en toute connaissance. Et les Anges en témoignent. Et Allah suffit comme témoin

But Allah bears witness to that which He has revealed to you. He has sent it down with His knowledge, and the angels bear witness [as well]. And sufficient is Allah as Witness

اِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ اِ۬للَّهِ قَد ضَّلُّواْ ضَلَٰلاَۢ بَعِيداًۖ ﲥ

Inna lladhîna kafarû wasaddû ‘an sabîli llâhi qad dallû dalâlam ba‘îdâ

Ceux qui ne croient pas et qui obstruent le sentier d'Allah, s'égarent certes loin dans l'égarement

Indeed, those who disbelieve and avert [people] from the way of Allah have certainly gone far astray

اِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَظَلَمُواْ لَمْ يَكُنِ اِ۬للَّهُ لِيَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ وَلَا لِيَهْدِيَهُمْ طَرِيقاً ﲦ

Inna lladhîna kafarû wazalamû lam yakuni llâhu liyaghfira lahum walâ liyahdiyahum tarîqâ

Ceux qui ne croient pas et qui pratiquent l'injustice, Allah n'est nullement disposé à leur pardonner, ni à les guider dans un chemin

Indeed, those who disbelieve and commit wrong [or injustice] - never will Allah forgive them, nor will He guide them to a path

اِلَّا طَرِيقَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَداٗۖ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ يَسِيراٗۖ ﲧ

Illâ tarîqa jahannama khâlidîna fîhâ abadan wakâna dhâlika ‘alâ llâhi yasîrâ

(autre) que le chemin de l'Enfer où ils demeureront éternellement. Et cela est facile à Allah

Except the path of Hell; they will abide therein forever. And that, for Allah, is [always] easy

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُمُ اُ۬لرَّسُولُ بِالْحَقِّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَـَٔامِنُواْ خَيْراٗ لَّكُمْۖ وَإِن تَكْفُرُواْ فَإِنَّ لِلهِ مَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِۖ وَكَانَ اَ۬للَّهُ عَلِيماً حَكِيماٗۖ ﲨ

Yâ'ayyuhâ nnâsu qad jâ'akumu rrasûlu bilhaqqi mir rabbikum fa'âminû khayral lakum wa'in takfurû fa'inna lillâhi mâ fî ssamâwâti walardi wakâna llâhu ‘alîman hakîmâ

O gens! Le Messager vous a apporté la vérité de la part de votre Seigneur. Ayez la foi, donc, cela vous sera meilleur. Et si vous ne croyez pas (qu'importe!), c'est à Allah qu'appartient tout ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre. Et Allah est Omniscient et Sage

O Mankind, the Messenger has come to you with the truth from your Lord, so believe; it is better for you. But if you disbelieve - then indeed, to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. And ever is Allah Knowing and Wise

يَٰٓأَهْلَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبِ لَا تَغْلُواْ فِے دِينِكُمْ وَلَا تَقُولُواْ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ إِلَّا اَ۬لْحَقَّۖ إِنَّمَا اَ۬لْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى اَ۪بْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ اُ۬للَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُۥٓۖ أَلْق۪يٰهَآ إِلَىٰ مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٞ مِّنْهُۖ فَـَٔامِنُواْ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦۖ وَلَا تَقُولُواْ ثَلَٰثَةٌۖ اِ۪نتَهُواْ خَيْراٗ لَّكُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّمَا اَ۬للَّهُ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞۖ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥٓ أَنْ يَّكُونَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٞۖ لَّهُۥ مَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ وَكَف۪ىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلاٗۖ ﲩ

Yâ'ahla lkitâbi lâ taghlû fî dînikum walâ taqûlû ‘alâ llâhi illâ lhaqqa innamâ lmasîhu ‘îsâ bnu maryama rasûlu llâhi wakalimatuhû alqêhâ ilâ maryama warûhum minhu fa'âminû billâhi warusulihî walâ taqûlû thalâthatuni ntahû khayral lakumû innamâ llâhu ilâhun wâhidun subhânahû ay yakûna lahû waladul lahû mâ fî ssamâwâti wamâ fî lardi wakafê billâhi wakîlâ

O gens du Livre (Chrétiens), n'exagérez pas dans votre religion, et ne dites d'Allah que la vérité. Le Messie Jésus, fils de Marie, n'est qu'un Messager d'Allah, Sa parole qu'Il envoya à Marie, et un souffle (de vie) venant de Lui. Croyez donc en Allah et en Ses messagers. Et ne dites pas «Trois». Cessez! Ce sera meilleur pour vous. Allah n'est qu'un Dieu unique. Il est trop glorieux pour avoir un enfant. C'est à Lui qu'appartient tout ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre et Allah suffit comme protecteur

O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs

لَّنْ يَّسْتَنكِفَ اَ۬لْمَسِيحُ أَنْ يَّكُونَ عَبْداٗ لِّلهِ وَلَا اَ۬لْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ اُ۬لْمُقَرَّبُونَۖ وَمَنْ يَّسْتَنكِفْ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَيَسْتَكْبِرْ فَسَيَحْشُرُهُمُۥٓ إِلَيْهِ جَمِيعاٗۖ ﲪ

Lay yastankifa lmasîhu ay yakûna ‘abdan lillâhi walâ lmalâ'ikatu lmuqarrabûna wamay yastankif ‘an ‘ibâdatihî wayastakbir fasayahshuruhumû ilayhi jamî‘â

Jamais le Messie ne trouve indigne d'être un serviteur d'Allah, ni les Anges rapprochés [de Lui]. Et ceux qui trouvent indigne de L'adorer et s'enflent d'orgueil... Il les rassemblera tous vers Lui

Never would the Messiah disdain to be a servant of Allah, nor would the angels near [to Him]. And whoever disdains His worship and is arrogant - He will gather them to Himself all together

فَأَمَّا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَيُوَفِّيهِمُۥٓ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدُهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦۖ وَأَمَّا اَ۬لذِينَ اَ۪سْتَنكَفُواْ وَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ فَيُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَاباً اَلِيماٗ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ وَلِيّاٗ وَلَا نَصِيراٗۖ ﲫ

Fa'ammâ lladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti fayuwaffîhimû ujûrahum wayazîduhum min fadlihî wa'ammâ lladhîna stankafû wastakbarû fayu‘adhdhibuhum ‘adhâbana lîman walâ yajidûna lahum min dûni llâhi waliyyan walâ nasîrâ

Quant à ceux qui ont cru et fait de bonnes œuvres, Il leur accordera leurs pleines récompenses et y ajoutera le surcroît de Sa grâce. Et quant à ceux qui ont eu la morgue et se sont enflés d'orgueil, Il les châtiera d'un châtiment douloureux. Et ils ne trouveront, pour eux, en dehors d'Allah, ni allié ni secoureur

And as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards and grant them extra from His bounty. But as for those who disdained and were arrogant, He will punish them with a painful punishment, and they will not find for themselves besides Allah any protector or helper

۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا اَ۬لنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُم بُرْهَٰنٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ نُوراٗ مُّبِيناٗۖ ﲬ

Yâ'ayyuhâ nnâsu qad jâ'akum burhânum mir rabbikum wa'anzalnâ ilaykum nûram mubînâ

O gens! Certes, une preuve évidente vous est venue de la part de votre Seigneur. Et Nous avons fait descendre vers vous une lumière éclatante

O mankind, there has come to you a conclusive proof from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light

فَأَمَّا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ بِاللَّهِ وَاعْتَصَمُواْ بِهِۦ فَسَيُدْخِلُهُمْ فِے رَحْمَةٖ مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلٖ وَيَهْدِيهِمُۥٓ إِلَيْهِ صِرَٰطاٗ مُّسْتَقِيماٗۖ ﲭ

Fa'ammâ lladhîna âmanû billâhi wa‘tasamû bihî fasayudkhiluhum fî rahmatim minhu wafadlin wayahdîhimû ilayhi sirâtam mustaqîmâ

Alors ceux qui croient en Allah et qui s'attachent à Lui, Il les fera entrer dans une miséricorde venue de Lui, et dans une grâce aussi. Et Il les guidera vers Lui dans un chemin droit

So those who believe in Allah and hold fast to Him - He will admit them to mercy from Himself and bounty and guide them to Himself on a straight path

يَسْتَفْتُونَكَۖ قُلِ اِ۬للَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِے اِ۬لْكَلَٰلَةِۖ إِنِ اِ۪مْرُؤٌاْ هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٞ وَلَهُۥٓ أُخْتٞ فَلَهَا نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَۖ وَهُوَ يَرِثُهَآ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهَا وَلَدٞۖ فَإِن كَانَتَا اَ۪ثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُمَا اَ۬لثُّلُثَٰنِ مِمَّا تَرَكَۖ وَإِن كَانُوٓاْ إِخْوَةٗ رِّجَالاٗ وَنِسَآءٗ فَلِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ اِ۬لُانثَيَيْنِۖ يُبَيِّنُ اُ۬للَّهُ لَكُمُۥٓ أَن تَضِلُّواْۖ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَےْءٍ عَلِيمٞۖ ﲮ

Yastaftûnaka quli llâhu yuftîkum fî lkalâlati ini mru'un halaka laysa lahû waladun walahû ukhtun falahâ nisfu mâ taraka wahuwa yarithuhâ il lam yakul lahâ waladun fa'in kânatâ thnatayni falahumâ ththuluthâni mimmâ taraka wa'in kânû ikhwatar rijâlan wanisâ'an falildhdhakari mithlu hazzi lunthayayni yubayyinu llâhu lakumû an tadillû wallâhu bikulli shay'in ‘alîm

Ils te demandent ce qui a été décrété. Dis: «Au sujet du défunt qui n'a pas de père ni de mère ni d'enfant, Allah vous donne Son décret: si quelqu'un meurt sans enfant, mais a une sœur, à celle-ci revient la moitié de ce qu'il laisse. Et lui, il héritera d'elle en totalité si elle n'a pas d'enfant. Mais s'il a deux sœurs (ou plus), à elles alors les deux tiers de ce qu'il laisse; et s'il a des frères et des sœurs, à un frère alors revient une portion égale à celle de deux sœurs. Allah vous donne des explications pour que vous ne vous égariez pas. Et Allah est Omniscient

They request from you a [legal] ruling. Say, "Allah gives you a ruling concerning one having neither descendants nor ascendants [as heirs]." If a man dies, leaving no child but [only] a sister, she will have half of what he left. And he inherits from her if she [dies and] has no child. But if there are two sisters [or more], they will have two-thirds of what he left. If there are both brothers and sisters, the male will have the share of two females. Allah makes clear to you [His law], lest you go astray. And Allah is Knowing of all things
