ح۪مِٓۖ تَنزِيلُ اُ۬لْكِتَٰبِ مِنَ اَ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لْعَزِيزِ اِ۬لْحَكِيمِۖ ﰀ

Hâ mîm tanzîlu lkitâbi mina llâhi l‘azîzi lhakîm

H'â, Mîm La révélation du Livre émane d'Allah, le Puissant, le Sage

Ha, Meem The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise

إِنَّ فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّلْمُومِنِينَۖ ﰁ

Inna fî ssamâwâti walardi la'yâtil lilmûminîn

Il y a certes dans les cieux et la terre des preuves pour les croyants

Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs for the believers

وَفِے خَلْقِكُمْ وَمَا يَبُثُّ مِن دَآبَّةٍ اٰيَٰتٞ لِّقَوْمٖ يُوقِنُونَ ﰂ

Wafî khalqikum wamâ yabuththu min dâbbatin âyâtul liqawmin yûqinûn

Et dans votre propre création, et dans ce qu'Il dissémine comme animaux, il y a des signes pour des gens qui croient avec certitude

And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith]

وَاخْتِلَٰفِ اِ۬ليْلِ وَالنَّه۪ارِ وَمَآ أَنزَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ مِنَ اَ۬لسَّمَآءِ مِن رِّزْقٖ فَأَحْي۪ا بِهِ اِ۬لَارْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَتَصْرِيفِ اِ۬لرِّيَٰحِ ءَايَٰتٞ لِّقَوْمٖ يَعْقِلُونَۖ ﰃ

Wakhtilâfi llayli wannahêri wamâ anzala llâhu mina ssamâ'i mir rizqin fa'ahyê bihi larda ba‘da mawtihâ watasrîfi rriyâhi âyâtul liqawmin ya‘qilûn

De même dans l'alternance de la nuit et du jour, et dans ce qu'Allah fait descendre du ciel comme subsistance [pluie] par laquelle Il redonne la vie à la terre une fois morte, et dans la distribution des vents, il y a des signes pour des gens qui raisonnent

And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allah sends down from the sky of provision and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and [in His] directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason

تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ اُ۬للَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِالْحَقِّۖ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۢ بَعْدَ اَ۬للَّهِ وَءَايَٰتِهِۦ يُومِنُونَۖ ﰄ

Tilka âyâtu llâhi natlûhâ ‘alayka bilhaqqi fabi'ayyi hadîthim ba‘da llâhi wa'âyâtihî yûminûn

Voilà les versets d'Allah que Nous te récitons en toute vérité. Alors dans quelle parole croiront-ils après [la parole] d'Allah et après Ses signes

These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe

وَيْلٞ لِّكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ اَثِيمٖ ﰅ

Waylul likulli affâkina thîm

Malheur à tout grand imposteur pécheur

Woe to every sinful liar

يَسْمَعُ ءَايَٰتِ اِ۬للَّهِ تُتْل۪ىٰ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِراٗ كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَاۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيمٖۖ ﰆ

Yasma‘u âyâti llâhi tutlê ‘alayhi thumma yusirru mustakbiran ka'al lam yasma‘hâ fabashshirhu bi‘adhâbina lîm

Il entend les versets d'Allah qu'on lui récite puis persiste dans son orgueil, comme s'il ne les avait jamais entendus. Annonce-lui donc un châtiment douloureux

Who hears the verses of Allah recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment

وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنَ اٰيَٰتِنَا شَئْاً اِ۪تَّخَذَهَا هُزُؤاًۖ ا۟وْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞۖ ﰇ

Wa'idhâ ‘alima mina âyâtinâ shay'ani ttakhadhahâ huzu'an ulâ'ika lahum ‘adhâbum muhîn

S'il a connaissance de quelques-uns de Nos versets, il les tourne en dérision. Ceux-là auront un châtiment avilissant

And when he knows anything of Our verses, he takes them in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment

مِّنْ وَّرَآئِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَا يُغْنِے عَنْهُم مَّا كَسَبُواْ شَئْاٗ وَلَا مَا اَ۪تَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ أَوْلِيَآءَۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۖ ﰈ

Miw warâ'ihim jahannamu walâ yughnî ‘anhum mâ kasabû shay'an walâ mâ ttakhadhû min dûni llâhi awliyâ'a walahum ‘adhâbun ‘azîm

l'Enfer est à leurs trousses. Ce qu'ils auront acquis ne leur servira à rien, ni ce qu'ils auront pris comme protecteurs, en dehors d'Allah. Ils auront un énorme châtiment

Before them is Hell, and what they had earned will not avail them at all nor what they had taken besides Allah as allies. And they will have a great punishment

هَٰذَا هُدىٗۖ وَالذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ عَذَابٞ مِّن رِّجْزٍ اَلِيمٍۖ ﰉ

Hâdhâ hudan walladhîna kafarû bi'âyâti rabbihim lahum ‘adhâbum mir rijzina lîm

Ceci [le Coran] est un guide. Et ceux qui récusent les versets de leur Seigneur auront le supplice d'un châtiment douloureux

This [Qur'an] is guidance. And those who have disbelieved in the verses of their Lord will have a painful punishment of foul nature

اِ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لذِے سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ اُ۬لْبَحْرَ لِتَجْرِيَ اَ۬لْفُلْكُ فِيهِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُواْ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَۖ ﰊ

Allâhu lladhî sakhkhara lakumu lbahra litajriya lfulku fîhi bi'amrihî walitabtaghû min fadlihî wala‘allakum tashkurûn

Allah c'est Lui qui vous a assujetti la mer, afin que les vaisseaux y voguent, par Son ordre, et que vous alliez en quête de sa grâce afin que vous soyez reconnaissants

It is Allah who subjected to you the sea so that ships may sail upon it by His command and that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ جَمِيعاٗ مِّنْهُۖ إِنَّ فِے ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوْمٖ يَتَفَكَّرُونَۖ ﰋ

Wasakhkhara lakum mâ fî ssamâwâti wamâ fî lardi jamî‘am minhu inna fî dhâlika la'yâtil liqawmin yatafakkarûn

Et Il vous a assujetti tout ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre, le tout venant de Lui. Il y a là des signes pour des gens qui réfléchissent

And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth - all from Him. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought

۞ قُل لِّلذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يَغْفِرُواْ لِلذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ أَيَّامَ اَ۬للَّهِ لِيَجْزِيَ قَوْماَۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَۖ ﰌ

Qul lilladhîna âmanû yaghfirû lilladhîna lâ yarjûna ayyâma llâhi liyajziya qawmam bimâ kânû yaksibûn

Dis à ceux qui ont cru de pardonner à ceux qui n'espèrent pas les jours d'Allah afin qu'Il rétribue [chaque] peuple pour les acquis qu'ils faisaient

Say, [O Muhammad], to those who have believed that they [should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allah so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn

مَنْ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحاٗ فَلِنَفْسِهِۦۖ وَمَنَ اَسَآءَ فَعَلَيْهَاۖ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَۖ ﰍ

Man ‘amila sâlihan falinafsihî wamana sâ'a fa‘alayhâ thumma ilâ rabbikum turja‘ûn

Quiconque fait le bien, le fait pour lui-même; et quiconque agit mal, agit contre lui-même. Puis vous serez ramenés vers votre Seigneur

Whoever does a good deed - it is for himself; and whoever does evil - it is against the self. Then to your Lord you will be returned

وَلَقَدَ اٰتَيْنَا بَنِےٓ إِسْرَآءِيلَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوٓءَةَ وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم مِّنَ اَ۬لطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَفَضَّلْنَٰهُمْ عَلَى اَ۬لْعَٰلَمِينَ ﰎ

Walaqada âtaynâ banî isrâ'îla lkitâba walhukma wannubû'ata warazaqnâhum mina ttayyibâti wafaddalnâhum ‘alâ l‘âlamîn

Nous avons effectivement apporté aux Enfants d'Israël le Livre, la sagesse, la prophétie, et leur avons attribué de bonnes choses, et les préférâmes aux autres humains [leurs contemporains]

And We did certainly give the Children of Israel the Scripture and judgement and prophethood, and We provided them with good things and preferred them over the worlds

وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُم بَيِّنَٰتٖ مِّنَ اَ۬لَامْرِۖ فَمَا اَ۪خْتَلَفُوٓاْ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ اُ۬لْعِلْمُۖ بَغْياَۢ بَيْنَهُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِے بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ اَ۬لْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَۖ ﰏ

Wa'âtaynâhum bayyinâtim mina lamri famâ khtalafû illâ mim ba‘di mâ jâ'ahumu l‘ilmu baghyam baynahumû inna rabbaka yaqdî baynahum yawma lqiyâmati fîmâ kânû fîhi yakhtalifûn

Et Nous leur avons apporté des preuves évidentes de l'Ordre. Ils ne divergèrent qu'après que la science leur fut venue par agressivité entre eux. Ton Seigneur décidera parmi eux, au Jour de la Résurrection, sur ce en quoi ils divergeaient

And We gave them clear proofs of the matter [of religion]. And they did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ

ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَٰكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٖ مِّنَ اَ۬لَامْرِ فَاتَّبِعْهَاۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعَ اَهْوَآءَ اَ۬لذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَۖ ﰐ

Thumma ja‘alnâka ‘alâ sharî‘atim mina lamri fattabi‘hâ walâ tattabi‘a hwâ'a lladhîna lâ ya‘lamûn

Puis Nous t'avons mis sur la voie de l'Ordre [une religion claire et parfaite]. Suis-la donc et ne suis pas les passions de ceux qui ne savent pas

Then We put you, [O Muhammad], on an ordained way concerning the matter [of religion]; so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know

إِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يُّغْنُواْ عَنكَ مِنَ اَ۬للَّهِ شَئْاٗۖ وَإِنَّ اَ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمُۥٓ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٖۖ وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ اُ۬لْمُتَّقِينَۖ ﰑ

Innahum lay yughnû ‘anka mina llâhi shay'an wa'inna zzâlimîna ba‘duhumû awliyâ'u ba‘din wallâhu waliyyu lmuttaqîn

Ils ne te seront d'aucune utilité vis-à-vis d'Allah. Les injustes sont vraiment alliés les uns des autres; tandis qu'Allah est le Protecteur des pieux

Indeed, they will never avail you against Allah at all. And indeed, the wrongdoers are allies of one another; but Allah is the protector of the righteous

هَٰذَا بَصَٰٓئِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدىٗ وَرَحْمَةٞ لِّقَوْمٖ يُوقِنُونَۖ ﰒ

Hâdhâ basâ'iru linnâsi wahudan warahmatul liqawmin yûqinûn

Ceci [le Coran] constitue pour les hommes une source de clarté, un guide et une miséricorde pour des gens qui croient avec certitude

This [Qur'an] is enlightenment for mankind and guidance and mercy for a people who are certain [in faith]

أَمْ حَسِبَ اَ۬لذِينَ اَ۪جْتَرَحُواْ اُ۬لسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن نَّجْعَلَهُمْ كَالذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَوَآءٞ مَّحْي۪اهُمْ وَمَمَاتُهُمْۖ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَۖ ﰓ

Am hasiba lladhîna jtarahû ssayyi'âti an naj‘alahum kalladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti sawâ'um mahyêhum wamamâtuhum sâ'a mâ yahkumûn

Ceux qui commettent des mauvaises actions comptent-ils que Nous allons les traiter comme ceux qui croient et accomplissent les bonnes œuvres, dans leur vie et dans leur mort? Comme ils jugent mal

Or do those who commit evils think We will make them like those who have believed and done righteous deeds - [make them] equal in their life and their death? Evil is that which they judge

وَخَلَقَ اَ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضَ بِالْحَقِّۖ وَلِتُجْز۪ىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسِۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَۖ ﰔ

Wakhalaqa llâhu ssamâwâti walarda bilhaqqi walitujzê kullu nafsim bimâ kasabat wahum lâ yuzlamûn

Et Allah a créé les cieux et la terre en toute vérité et afin que chaque âme soit rétribuée selon ce qu'elle a acquis. Ils ne seront cependant pas lésés

And Allah created the heavens and earth in truth and so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged

أَفَرَٰٓيْتَ مَنِ اِ۪تَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَو۪يٰهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ اُ۬للَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٖ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِۦ وَقَلْبِهِۦ وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِۦ غِشَٰوَةٗ فَمَنْ يَّهْدِيهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ أَفَلَا تَذَّكَّرُونَۖ ﰕ

Afarâyta mani ttakhadha ilâhahû hawêhu wa'adallahu llâhu ‘alâ ‘ilmin wakhatama ‘alâ sam‘ihî waqalbihî waja‘ala ‘alâ basarihî ghishâwatan famay yahdîhi mim ba‘di llâhi afalâ tadhdhakkarûn

Vois-tu celui qui prend sa passion pour sa propre divinité? Et Allah l'égare sciemment et scelle son ouïe et son cœur et étend un voile sur sa vue. Qui donc peut le guider après Allah? Ne vous rappelez-vous donc pas

Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah? Then will you not be reminded

وَقَالُواْ مَا هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا اَ۬لدُّنْي۪ا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْي۪ا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَآ إِلَّا اَ۬لدَّهْرُۖ وَمَا لَهُم بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍۖ اِنْ هُمُۥٓ إِلَّا يَظُنُّونَۖ ﰖ

Waqâlû mâ hiya illâ hayâtunâ ddunyê namûtu wanahyê wamâ yuhlikunâ illâ ddahru wamâ lahum bidhâlika min ‘ilmini n humû illâ yazunnûn

Et ils dirent: «Il n'y a pour nous que la vie d'ici-bas: nous mourons et nous vivons et seul le temps nous fait périr». Ils n'ont de cela aucune connaissance: ils ne font qu'émettre des conjectures

And they say, "There is not but our worldly life; we die and live, and nothing destroys us except time." And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming

۞ وَإِذَا تُتْل۪ىٰ عَلَيْهِمُۥٓ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٖ مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمُۥٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُواْ اُ۪يتُواْ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَۖ ﰗ

Wa'idhâ tutlê ‘alayhimû âyâtunâ bayyinâtim mâ kâna hujjatahumû illâ an qâlû ytû bi'âbâ'inâ in kuntum sâdiqîn

Et quand on leur récite Nos versets bien clairs, leur seul argument est de dire: «Faites revenir nos ancêtres si vous êtes véridiques»

And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, "Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful

قُلِ اِ۬للَّهُ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُكُمُۥٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ اِ۬لْقِيَٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِۖ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ اَ۬لنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَۖ ﰘ

Quli llâhu yuhyîkum thumma yumîtukum thumma yajma‘ukumû ilâ yawmi lqiyâmati lâ rayba fîhi walâkinna akthara nnâsi lâ ya‘lamûn

Dis: «Allah vous donne la vie puis Il vous donne la mort. Ensuite Il vous réunira le Jour de la Résurrection, il n'y a pas de doute à ce sujet, mais la plupart des gens ne savent pas

Say, "Allah causes you to live, then causes you to die; then He will assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt, but most of the people do not know

وَلِلهِ مُلْكُ اُ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِۖ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ اُ۬لسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٖ يَخْسَرُ اُ۬لْمُبْطِلُونَۖ ﰙ

Walillâhi mulku ssamâwâti walardi wayawma taqûmu ssâ‘atu yawma'idhin yakhsaru lmubtilûn

A Allah appartient le royaume des cieux et de la terre. Et le jour où l'Heure arrivera, ce jour-là, les imposteurs seront perdus

And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And the Day the Hour appears - that Day the falsifiers will lose

وَتَر۪ىٰ كُلَّ أُمَّةٖ جَاثِيَةٗۖ كُلُّ أُمَّةٖ تُدْع۪ىٰٓ إِلَىٰ كِتَٰبِهَاۖ اَ۬لْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَۖ ﰚ

Watarê kulla ummatin jâthiyatan kullu ummatin tud‘ê ilâ kitâbihâ lyawma tujzawna mâ kuntum ta‘malûn

Et tu verras chaque communauté agenouillée. Chaque communauté sera appelée vers son livre. On vous rétribuera aujourd'hui selon ce que vous œuvriez

And you will see every nation kneeling [from fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do

هَٰذَا كِتَٰبُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُم بِالْحَقِّۖ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَۖ ﰛ

Hâdhâ kitâbunâ yantiqu ‘alaykum bilhaqqi innâ kunnâ nastansikhu mâ kuntum ta‘malûn

Voilà Notre Livre. Il parle de vous en toute vérité car Nous enregistrions [tout] ce que vous faisiez»

This, Our record, speaks about you in truth. Indeed, We were having transcribed whatever you used to do

فَأَمَّا اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ فِے رَحْمَتِهِۦۖ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ اَ۬لْفَوْزُ اُ۬لْمُبِينُۖ ﰜ

Fa'ammâ lladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti fayudkhiluhum rabbuhum fî rahmatihî dhâlika huwa lfawzu lmubîn

Ceux qui ont cru et fait de bonnes œuvres, leur Seigneur les fera entrer dans Sa miséricorde. Voilà le succès évident

So as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is what is the clear attainment

وَأَمَّا اَ۬لذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَفَلَمْ تَكُنَ اٰيَٰتِے تُتْل۪ىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْماٗ مُّجْرِمِينَۖ ﰝ

Wa'ammâ lladhîna kafarû afalam takuna âyâtî tutlê ‘alaykum fastakbartum wakuntum qawmam mujrimîn

Et quant à ceux qui ont mécru [il sera dit]: «Mes versets ne vous étaient-ils pas récités? Mais vous vous enfliez d'orgueil et vous étiez des gens criminels»

But as for those who disbelieved, [it will be said], "Were not Our verses recited to you, but you were arrogant and became a people of criminals

وَإِذَا قِيلَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اَ۬للَّهِ حَقّٞ وَالسَّاعَةُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا قُلْتُم مَّا نَدْرِے مَا اَ۬لسَّاعَةُ إِن نَّظُنُّ إِلَّا ظَنّاٗ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَۖ ﰞ

Wa'idhâ qîla inna wa‘da llâhi haqqun wassâ‘atu lâ rayba fîhâ qultum mâ nadrî mâ ssâ‘atu in nazunnu illâ zannan wamâ nahnu bimustayqinîn

Et quand on disait: «La promesse d'Allah est vérité; et l'Heure n'est pas l'objet d'un doute», vous disiez: «Nous ne savons pas ce que c'est que l'Heure; et nous ne faisions à son sujet que de simples conjectures et nous ne sommes pas convaincus [qu'elle arrivera]

And when it was said, 'Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth and the Hour [is coming] - no doubt about it,' you said, 'We know not what is the Hour. We assume only assumption, and we are not convinced

وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا عَمِلُواْۖ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَۖ ﰟ

Wabadâ lahum sayyi'âtu mâ ‘amilû wahâqa bihim mâ kânû bihî yastahzi'ûn

Et leur apparaîtra [la laideur] de leurs mauvaises actions. Et ce dont ils se moquaient les cernera

And the evil consequences of what they did will appear to them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule

وَقِيلَ اَ۬لْيَوْمَ نَنس۪يٰكُمْ كَمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا وَمَأْو۪يٰكُمُ اُ۬لنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَۖ ﰠ

Waqîla lyawma nansêkum kamâ nasîtum liqâ'a yawmikum hâdhâ wama'wêkumu nnâru wamâ lakum min nasirîn

Et on leur dira: «Aujourd'hui Nous vous oublions comme vous avez oublié la rencontre de votre jour que voici. Votre refuge est le Feu; et vous n'aurez point de secoureurs

And it will be said, "Today We will forget you as you forgot the meeting of this Day of yours, and your refuge is the Fire, and for you there are no helpers

ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّكُمُ اُ۪تَّخَذتُّمُۥٓ ءَايَٰتِ اِ۬للَّهِ هُزُؤاٗ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ اُ۬لْحَيَوٰةُ اُ۬لدُّنْي۪اۖ فَالْيَوْمَ لَا يُخْرَجُونَ مِنْهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَۖ ﰡ

Dhâlikum bi'annakumu ttakhadhttumû âyâti llâhi huzu'an wagharratkumu lhayawâtu ddunyê falyawma lâ yukhrajûna minhâ walâ hum yusta‘tabûn

Cela parce que vous preniez en raillerie les versets d'Allah et que la vie d'ici-bas vous trompait». Ce jour-là on ne les en fera pas sortir et on ne les excusera pas non plus

That is because you took the verses of Allah in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [Allah]

فَلِلهِ اِ۬لْحَمْدُ رَبِّ اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَرَبِّ اِ۬لَارْضِ رَبِّ اِ۬لْعَٰلَمِينَۖ ﰢ

Falillâhi lhamdu rabbi ssamâwâti warabbi lardi rabbi l‘âlamîn

Louange à Allah, Seigneur des cieux et Seigneur de la terre: Seigneur de l'univers

Then, to Allah belongs [all] praise - Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of the worlds

وَلَهُ اُ۬لْكِبْرِيَآءُ فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لْعَزِيزُ اُ۬لْحَكِيمُۖ ﰣ

Walahu lkibriyâ'u fî ssamâwâti walardi wahuwa l‘azîzu lhakîm

Et à Lui la grandeur dans les cieux et la terre. Et c'est Lui le Puissant, le Sage

And to Him belongs [all] grandeur within the heavens and the earth, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise
