هَلَ اَت۪يٰكَ حَدِيثُ اُ۬لْغَٰشِيَةِۖ ﰀ

Hala têka hadîthu lghâshiyah

T'est-il parvenu le récit de l'enveloppante

Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]

وُجُوهٞ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ ﰁ

Wujûhun yawma'idhin khâshi‘ah

Ce jour-là, il y aura des visages humiliés

[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled

عَامِلَةٞ نَّاصِبَةٞ ﰂ

‘âmilatun nâsibah

préoccupés, harassés

Working [hard] and exhausted

تَصْلَىٰ نَاراً حَامِيَةٗ ﰃ

Taslâ nâran hâmiyaah

Ils brûleront dans un Feu ardent

They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire

تُسْق۪ىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ اٰنِيَةٖۖ ﰄ

Tusqê min ‘aynin âniyah

et seront abreuvés d'une source bouillante

They will be given drink from a boiling spring

لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٖ ﰅ

Laysa lahum ta‘âmuni llâ min darî‘

Il n'y aura pour eux d'autre nourriture que des plantes épineuses [darî]

For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant

لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِے مِن جُوعٖۖ ﰆ

Lâ yusminu walâ yughnî min jû‘

qui n'engraisse, ni n'apaise la faim

Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger

وُجُوهٞ يَوْمَئِذٖ نَّاعِمَةٞ ﰇ

Wujûhun yawma'idhin nâ‘imah

Ce jour-là, il y aura des visages épanouis

[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure

لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٞ ﰈ

Lisa‘yihâ râdiyah

contents de leurs efforts

With their effort [they are] satisfied

فِے جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖ ﰉ

Fî jannatin ‘âliyah

dans un haut Jardin

In an elevated garden

لَّا تُسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةٞۖ ﰊ

Lâ tusma‘u fîhâ lâghiyah

où ils n'entendent aucune futilité

Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech

فِيهَا عَيْنٞ جَارِيَةٞۖ ﰋ

Fîhâ ‘aynun jâriyah

Là, il y aura une source coulante

Within it is a flowing spring

فِيهَا سُرُرٞ مَّرْفُوعَةٞ ﰌ

Fîhâ sururum marfû‘ah

Là, des divans élevés

Within it are couches raised high

وَأَكْوَابٞ مَّوْضُوعَةٞ ﰍ

Wa'akwâbum mawdû‘ah

et des coupes posées

And cups put in place

وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٞ ﰎ

Wanamâriqu masfûfah

et des coussins rangés

And cushions lined up

وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌۖ ﰏ

Wazarâbiyyu mabthûthah

et des tapis étalés

And carpets spread around

۞ اَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى اَ۬لِابِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ ﰐ

Afalâ yanzurûna ilâ libili kayfa khuliqat

Ne considèrent-ils donc pas les chameaux, comment ils ont été créés

Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created

وَإِلَى اَ۬لسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ ﰑ

Wa'ilâ ssamâ'i kayfa rufi‘at

et le ciel comment il est élevé

And at the sky - how it is raised

وَإِلَى اَ۬لْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ ﰒ

Wa'ilâ ljibâli kayfa nusibat

et les montagnes comment elles sont dressées

And at the mountains - how they are erected

وَإِلَى اَ۬لَارْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْۖ ﰓ

Wa'ilâ lardi kayfa sutihat

et la terre comment elle est nivelée

And at the earth - how it is spread out

فَذَكِّرِ اِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٞۖ ﰔ

Fadhakkiri nnamâ anta mudhakkir

Eh bien, rappelle! Tu n'es qu'un rappeleur

So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder

لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍۖ ﰕ

Lasta ‘alayhim bimusaytir

et tu n'es pas un dominateur sur eux

You are not over them a controller

اِلَّا مَن تَوَلّ۪ىٰ وَكَفَرَ ﰖ

Illâ man tawallê wakafar

Sauf celui qui tourne le dos et ne croit pas

However, he who turns away and disbelieves

فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اُ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لْعَذَابَ اَ۬لَاكْبَرَۖ ﰗ

Fayu‘adhdhibuhu llâhu l‘adhâba lakbar

alors Allah le châtiera du plus grand châtiment

Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment

إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ ﰘ

Inna ilaynâ iyâbahum

Vers Nous est leur retour

Indeed, to Us is their return

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْۖ ﰙ

Thumma inna ‘alaynâ hisâbahum

Ensuite, c'est à Nous de leur demander compte

Then indeed, upon Us is their account
