بِسْمِ اِ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لرَّحْمَٰنِ اِ۬لرَّحِيمِ Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux. In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
اَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ ﰀ
Alif lâm mîm nashrah laka sadrak
N'avons-Nous pas ouvert pour toi ta poitrine
Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast
وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ ﰁ
Wawada‘nâ ‘anka wizrak
Et ne t'avons-Nous pas déchargé du fardeau
And We removed from you your burden
اَ۬لذِےٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ ﰂ
Alladhî anqada zahrak
qui accablait ton dos
Which had weighed upon your back
وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَۖ ﰃ
Warafa‘nâ laka dhikrak
Et exalté pour toi ta renommée
And raised high for you your repute
فَإِنَّ مَعَ اَ۬لْعُسْرِ يُسْراً ﰄ
Fa'inna ma‘a l‘usri yusrâ
A côté de la difficulté est, certes, une facilité
For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease
اِنَّ مَعَ اَ۬لْعُسْرِ يُسْراٗۖ ﰅ

فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانصَبْ ﰆ
Fa'idhâ faraghta fânsab
Quand tu te libères, donc, lève-toi
So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship]
وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْۖ ﰇ
Wa'ilâ rabbika farghab
et à ton Seigneur aspire
And to your Lord direct [your] longing
