ح۪مِٓ عَٓسِٓقَٓۖ كَذَٰلِكَ يُوحِےٓ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى اَ۬لذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكَ اَ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لْعَزِيزُ اُ۬لْحَكِيمُۖ ﰀ

Hâ mîm ‘ayn sîn qâf kadhâlika yûhî ilayka wa'ilâ lladhîna min qablika llâhu l‘azîzu lhakîm

H'â, Mîm Aîn, Sîn, Qâf C'est ainsi qu'Allah, le Puissant, le Sage, te fait des révélations, comme à ceux qui ont vécu avant toi

Ha, Meem Ayn, Seen, Qaf Thus has He revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and to those before you - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise

لَهُۥ مَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لْعَلِيُّ اُ۬لْعَظِيمُۖ ﰁ

Lahû mâ fî ssamâwâti wamâ fî lardi wahuwa l‘aliyyu l‘azîm

A Lui appartient ce qui est dans les cieux et ce qui est sur la terre. Et Il est le Sublime, le Très Grand

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and He is the Most High, the Most Great

۞ يَكَادُ اُ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِن فَوْقِهِنَّۖ وَالْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِمَن فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ أَلَآ إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ هُوَ اَ۬لْغَفُورُ اُ۬لرَّحِيمُۖ ﰂ

Yakâdu ssamâwâtu yatafattarna min fawqihinna walmalâ'ikatu yusabbihûna bihamdi rabbihim wayastaghfirûna liman fî lardi alâ inna llâha huwa lghafûru rrahîm

Peu s'en faut que les cieux ne se fendent depuis leur faîte quand les anges glorifient leur Seigneur, célèbrent Ses louanges et implorent le pardon pour ceux qui sont sur la terre. Allah est certes le Pardonneur, le Très Miséricordieux

The heavens almost break from above them, and the angels exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Unquestionably, it is Allah who is the Forgiving, the Merciful

وَالذِينَ اَ۪تَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُ حَفِيظٌ عَلَيْهِمْۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٖۖ ﰃ

Walladhîna ttakhadhû min dûnihî awliyâ'a llâhu hafîzun ‘alayhim wamâ anta ‘alayhim biwakîl

Et quant à ceux qui prennent des protecteurs en dehors de Lui, Allah veille à ce qu'ils font. Et tu n'es pas pour eux un garant

And those who take as allies other than Him - Allah is [yet] Guardian over them; and you, [O Muhammad], are not over them a manager

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ قُرْءَاناً عَرَبِيّاٗ لِّتُنذِرَ أُمَّ اَ۬لْقُر۪ىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَتُنذِرَ يَوْمَ اَ۬لْجَمْعِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِۖ فَرِيقٞ فِے اِ۬لْجَنَّةِۖ وَفَرِيقٞ فِے اِ۬لسَّعِيرِۖ ﰄ

Wakadhâlika awhaynâ ilayka qur'ânan ‘arabiyyal litundhira umma lqurê waman hawlahâ watundhira yawma ljam‘i lâ rayba fîhi farîqun fî ljannati wafarîqun fî ssa‘îr

Et c'est ainsi que Nous t'avons révélé un Coran arabe, afin que tu avertisses la Mère des cités (la Mecque) et ses alentours et que tu avertisses du Jour du rassemblement, - sur lequel il n'y a pas de doute - Un groupe au Paradis et un groupe dans la fournaise ardente

And thus We have revealed to you an Arabic Qur'an that you may warn the Mother of Cities [Makkah] and those around it and warn of the Day of Assembly, about which there is no doubt. A party will be in Paradise and a party in the Blaze

وَلَوْ شَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُ لَجَعَلَهُمُۥٓ أُمَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗۖ وَلَٰكِنْ يُّدْخِلُ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ فِے رَحْمَتِهِۦۖ وَالظَّٰلِمُونَ مَا لَهُم مِّنْ وَّلِيّٖ وَلَا نَصِيرٍۖ ﰅ

Walaw shâ'a llâhu laja‘alahumû ummatan wâhidatan walâkiy yudkhilu may yashâ'u fî rahmatihî wazzâlimûna mâ lahum miw waliyyin walâ nasîr

Et si Allah avait voulu, Il en aurait fait une seule communauté. Mais Il fait entrer qui Il veut dans Sa miséricorde. Et les injustes n'auront ni maître ni secoureur

And if Allah willed, He could have made them [of] one religion, but He admits whom He wills into His mercy. And the wrongdoers have not any protector or helper

اَمِ اِ۪تَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَۖ فَاللَّهُ هُوَ اَ۬لْوَلِيُّۖ وَهُوَ يُحْيِ اِ۬لْمَوْت۪ىٰۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَےْءٖ قَدِيرٞۖ ﰆ

Ami ttakhadhû min dûnihî awliyâ'a fallâhu huwa lwaliyyu wahuwa yuhyi lmawtê wahuwa ‘alâ kulli shay'in qadîr

Ont-ils pris des maîtres en dehors de Lui ? C'est Allah qui est le seul Maître et c'est Lui qui redonne la vie aux morts; et c'est Lui qui est Omnipotent

Or have they taken protectors [or allies] besides him? But Allah - He is the Protector, and He gives life to the dead, and He is over all things competent

وَمَا اَ۪خْتَلَفْتُمْ فِيهِ مِن شَےْءٖ فَحُكْمُهُۥٓ إِلَى اَ۬للَّهِۖ ذَٰلِكُمُ اُ۬للَّهُ رَبِّےۖ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُۖ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُۖ ﰇ

Wamâ khtalaftum fîhi min shay'in fahukmuhû ilâ llâhi dhâlikumu llâhu rabbî ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa'ilayhi unîb

Sur toutes vos divergences, le jugement appartient à Allah. Tel est Allah mon Seigneur; en Lui je place ma confiance et c'est à Lui que je retourne [repentant]

And in anything over which you disagree - its ruling is [to be referred] to Allah. [Say], "That is Allah, my Lord; upon Him I have relied, and to Him I turn back

فَاطِرُ اُ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ اَنفُسِكُمُۥٓ أَزْوَٰجاٗ وَمِنَ اَ۬لَانْعَٰمِ أَزْوَٰجاٗ يَذْرَؤُكُمْ فِيهِۖ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِۦ شَےْءٞۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لسَّمِيعُ اُ۬لْبَصِيرُۖ ﰈ

Fâtiru ssamâwâti walardi ja‘ala lakum mina nfusikumû azwâjan wamina lan‘âmi azwâjan yadhra'ukum fîhi laysa kamithlihî shay'un wahuwa ssamî‘u lbasîr

Créateur des cieux et de la terre. Il vous a donné des épouses [issues] de vous-mêmes et des bestiaux par couples; par ce moyen Il vous multiplie. Il n'y a rien qui Lui ressemble; et c'est Lui l'Audient, le Clairvoyant

[He is] Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you from yourselves, mates, and among the cattle, mates; He multiplies you thereby. There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing

لَهُۥ مَقَالِيدُ اُ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِۖ يَبْسُطُ اُ۬لرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَّشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُۖ إِنَّهُۥ بِكُلِّ شَےْءٍ عَلِيمٞۖ ﰉ

Lahû maqâlîdu ssamâwâti walardi yabsutu rrizqa limay yashâ'u wayaqdiru innahû bikulli shay'in ‘alîm

Il possède les clefs [des trésors] des cieux et de la terre. Il attribue Ses dons avec largesse, ou les restreint à qui Il veut. Certes, Il est Omniscient

To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. He extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. Indeed He is, of all things, Knowing

۞ شَرَعَ لَكُم مِّنَ اَ۬لدِّينِ مَا وَصّ۪ىٰ بِهِۦ نُوحاٗ وَالذِےٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا وَصَّيْنَا بِهِۦٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوس۪ىٰ وَعِيس۪ىٰٓ أَنَ اَقِيمُواْ اُ۬لدِّينَ وَلَا تَتَفَرَّقُواْ فِيهِۖ كَبُرَ عَلَى اَ۬لْمُشْرِكِينَ مَا تَدْعُوهُمُۥٓ إِلَيْهِۖ اِ۬للَّهُ يَجْتَبِےٓ إِلَيْهِ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ وَيَهْدِےٓ إِلَيْهِ مَنْ يُّنِيبُۖ ﰊ

Shara‘a lakum mina ddîni mâ wassê bihî nûhan walladhî awhaynâ ilayka wamâ wassaynâ bihî ibrâhîma wamûsê wa‘îsê ana qîmû ddîna walâ tatafarraqû fîhi kabura ‘alâ lmushrikîna mâ tad‘ûhumû ilayhi llâhu yajtabî ilayhi may yashâ'u wayahdî ilayhi may yunîb

Il vous a légiféré en matière de religion, ce qu'Il avait enjoint à Noé, ce que Nous t'avons révélé, ainsi que ce que Nous avons enjoint à Abraham, à Moïse et à Jésus: «Etablissez la religion; et n'en faites pas un sujet de divisions». Ce à quoi tu appelles les associateurs leur paraît énorme Allah élit et rapproche de Lui qui Il veut et guide vers Lui celui qui se repent

He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him]

وَمَا تَفَرَّقُوٓاْ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ اُ۬لْعِلْمُۖ بَغْياَۢ بَيْنَهُمْۖ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٞ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمّىٗ لَّقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْۖ وَإِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ أُورِثُواْ اُ۬لْكِتَٰبَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ لَفِے شَكّٖ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٖۖ ﰋ

Wamâ tafarraqû illâ mim ba‘di mâ jâ'ahumu l‘ilmu baghyam baynahum walawlâ kalimatun sabaqat mir rabbika ilâ ajalim musammal laqudiya baynahum wa'inna lladhîna ûrithû lkitâba mim ba‘dihim lafî shakkim minhu murîb

Ils ne se sont divisés qu'après avoir reçu la science et ceci par rivalité entre eux. Et si ce n'était une parole préalable de ton Seigneur pour un terme fixé, on aurait certainement tranché entre eux. Ceux à qui le Livre a été donné en héritage après eux sont vraiment à son sujet, dans un doute troublant

And they did not become divided until after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord [postponing the penalty] until a specified time, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed, those who were granted inheritance of the Scripture after them are, concerning it, in disquieting doubt

فَلِذَٰلِكَ فَادْعُ وَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَآ أُمِرْتَ وَلَا تَتَّبِعَ اَهْوَآءَهُمْۖ وَقُلَ اٰمَنتُ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ اَ۬للَّهُ مِن كِتَٰبٖ وَأُمِرْتُ لِأَعْدِلَ بَيْنَكُمُۖ اُ۬للَّهُ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمْۖ لَنَآ أَعْمَٰلُنَا وَلَكُمُۥٓ أَعْمَٰلُكُمْۖ لَا حُجَّةَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُۖ اُ۬للَّهُ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَاۖ وَإِلَيْهِ اِ۬لْمَصِيرُۖ ﰌ

Falidhâlika fad‘u wastaqim kamâ umirta walâ tattabi‘a hwâ'ahum waqula âmantu bimâ anzala llâhu min kitâbin wa'umirtu li'a‘dila baynakumu llâhu rabbunâ warabbukum lanâ a‘mâlunâ walakumû a‘mâlukum lâ hujjata baynanâ wabaynakumu llâhu yajma‘u baynanâ wa'ilayhi lmasîr

Appelle donc (les gens) à cela; reste droit comme il t'a été commandé; ne suis pas leurs passions; et dis: «Je crois en tout ce qu'Allah a fait descendre comme Livre, et il m'a été commandé d'être équitable entre vous. Allah est notre Seigneur et votre Seigneur. A nous nos œuvres et à vous vos œuvres. Aucun argument [ne peut trancher] entre nous et vous. Allah nous regroupera tous. Et vers Lui est la destination»

So to that [religion of Allah] invite, [O Muhammad], and remain on a right course as you are commanded and do not follow their inclinations but say, "I have believed in what Allah has revealed of the Qur'an, and I have been commanded to do justice among you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. For us are our deeds, and for you your deeds. There is no [need for] argument between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is the [final] destination

وَالذِينَ يُحَآجُّونَ فِے اِ۬للَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا اَ۟سْتُجِيبَ لَهُۥ حُجَّتُهُمْ دَاحِضَةٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٞۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٞ شَدِيدٌۖ ﰍ

Walladhîna yuhâjjûna fî llâhi mim ba‘di mâ stujîba lahû hujjatuhum dâhidatun ‘inda rabbihim wa‘alayhim ghadabun walahum ‘adhâbun shadîd

Et ceux qui discutent au sujet d'Allah, après qu'il a été répondu à [Son appel], leur argumentation est auprès d'Allah sans valeur. Une colère tombera sur eux et ils auront un dur châtiment

And those who argue concerning Allah after He has been responded to - their argument is invalid with their Lord, and upon them is [His] wrath, and for them is a severe punishment

اِ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لذِےٓ أَنزَلَ اَ۬لْكِتَٰبَ بِالْحَقِّ وَالْمِيزَانَۖ وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ اَ۬لسَّاعَةَ قَرِيبٞۖ ﰎ

Allâhu lladhî anzala lkitâba bilhaqqi walmîzâna wamâ yudrîka la‘alla ssâ‘ata qarîb

C'est Allah qui a fait descendre le Livre en toute vérité, ainsi que la balance. Et qu'en sais-tu? Peut-être que l'Heure est proche

It is Allah who has sent down the Book in truth and [also] the balance. And what will make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near

يَسْتَعْجِلُ بِهَا اَ۬لذِينَ لَا يُومِنُونَ بِهَاۖ وَالذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مُشْفِقُونَ مِنْهَا وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهَا اَ۬لْحَقُّۖ أَلَآ إِنَّ اَ۬لذِينَ يُمَارُونَ فِے اِ۬لسَّاعَةِ لَفِے ضَلَٰلِۢ بَعِيدٍۖ ﰏ

Yasta‘jilu bihâ lladhîna lâ yûminûna bihâ walladhîna âmanû mushfiqûna minhâ waya‘lamûna annahâ lhaqqu alâ inna lladhîna yumârûna fî ssâ‘ati lafî dalâlim ba‘îd

Ceux qui n'y croient pas cherchent à la hâter; tandis que ceux qui croient en sont craintifs et savent qu'elle est la pure vérité. Et ceux qui discutent à propos de l'Heure sont dans un égarement lointain

Those who do not believe in it are impatient for it, but those who believe are fearful of it and know that it is the truth. Unquestionably, those who dispute concerning the Hour are in extreme error

اِ۬للَّهُ لَطِيفُۢ بِعِبَادِهِۦۖ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَّشَآءُۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لْقَوِيُّ اُ۬لْعَزِيزُۖ ﰐ

Allâhu latîfum bi‘ibâdihî yarzuqu may yashâ'u wahuwa lqawiyyu l‘azîz

Allah est doux envers Ses serviteurs. Il attribue [Ses biens] à qui Il veut. Et c'est Lui le Fort, le Puissant

Allah is Subtle with His servants; He gives provisions to whom He wills. And He is the Powerful, the Exalted in Might

۞ مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ اَ۬لَاخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهُۥ فِے حَرْثِهِۦۖ وَمَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ اَ۬لدُّنْي۪ا نُوتِهِۦ مِنْهَاۖ وَمَا لَهُۥ فِے اِ۬لَاخِرَةِ مِن نَّصِيبٍۖ ﰑ

Man kâna yurîdu hartha lakhirati nazid lahû fî harthihî waman kâna yurîdu hartha ddunyê nûtihî minhâ wamâ lahû fî lakhirati min nasîb

Quiconque désire labourer [le champ] de la vie future, Nous augmenterons pour lui son labour. Quiconque désire labourer [le champ] de la présente vie, Nous lui en accorderons de [ses jouissances]; mais il n'aura pas de part dans l'au-delà

Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase for him in his harvest. And whoever desires the harvest of this world - We give him thereof, but there is not for him in the Hereafter any share

اَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَٰٓؤُاْ شَرَعُواْ لَهُم مِّنَ اَ۬لدِّينِ مَا لَمْ يَاذَنۢ بِهِ اِ۬للَّهُۖ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةُ اُ۬لْفَصْلِ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْۖ وَإِنَّ اَ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيمٞۖ ﰒ

Am lahum shurakâ'u shara‘û lahum mina ddîni mâ lam yâdham bihi llâhu walawlâ kalimatu lfasli laqudiya baynahum wa'inna zzâlimîna lahum ‘adhâbuna lîm

Ou bien auraient-ils des associés [à Allah] qui auraient établi pour eux des lois religieuses qu'Allah n'a jamais permises? Or, si l'arrêt décisif n'avait pas été prononcé, il aurait été tranché entre eux. Les injustes auront certes un châtiment douloureux

Or have they other deities who have ordained for them a religion to which Allah has not consented? But if not for the decisive word, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed, the wrongdoers will have a painful punishment

تَرَى اَ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا كَسَبُواْ وَهُوَ وَاقِعُۢ بِهِمْۖ وَالذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فِے رَوْضَاتِ اِ۬لْجَنَّاتِۖ لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْۖ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ اَ۬لْفَضْلُ اُ۬لْكَبِيرُۖ ﰓ

Tarâ zzâlimîna mushfiqîna mimmâ kasabû wahuwa wâqi‘um bihim walladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti fî rawdâti ljannâti lahum mâ yashâ'ûna ‘inda rabbihim dhâlika huwa lfadlu lkabîr

Tu verras les injustes épouvantés par ce qu'ils ont fait, et le châtiment s'abattra sur eux (inéluctablement). Et ceux qui croient et accomplissent les bonnes œuvres, seront dans les sites fleuris des jardins, ayant ce qu'ils voudront auprès de leur Seigneur. Telle est la grande grâce

You will see the wrongdoers fearful of what they have earned, and it will [certainly] befall them. And those who have believed and done righteous deeds will be in lush regions of the gardens [in Paradise] having whatever they will in the presence of their Lord. That is what is the great bounty

ذَٰلِكَ اَ۬لذِے يُبَشِّرُ اُ۬للَّهُ عِبَادَهُ اُ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِۖ قُل لَّآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْراً اِلَّا اَ۬لْمَوَدَّةَ فِے اِ۬لْقُرْب۪ىٰۖ وَمَنْ يَّقْتَرِفْ حَسَنَةٗ نَّزِدْ لَهُۥ فِيهَا حُسْناًۖ اِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ غَفُورٞ شَكُورٌۖ ﰔ

Dhâlika lladhî yubashshiru llâhu ‘ibâdahu lladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti qul lâ as'alukum ‘alayhi ajrani llâ lmawaddata fî lqurbê wamay yaqtarif hasanatan nazid lahû fîhâ husnani nna llâha ghafûrun shakûr

Telle est la [bonne nouvelle] qu'Allah annonce à ceux de Ses serviteurs qui croient et accomplissent les bonnes œuvres! Dis: «Je ne vous en demande aucun salaire si ce n'est l'affection eu égard à [nos liens] de parenté». Et quiconque accomplit une bonne action, Nous répondons par [une récompense] plus belle encore. Allah est certes Pardonneur et Reconnaissant

It is that of which Allah gives good tidings to His servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for this message any payment [but] only good will through kinship." And whoever commits a good deed - We will increase for him good therein. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Appreciative

اَمْ يَقُولُونَ اَ۪فْتَر۪ىٰ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِ كَذِباٗۖ فَإِنْ يَّشَإِ اِ۬للَّهُ يَخْتِمْ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَۖ وَيَمْحُ اُ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لْبَٰطِلَ وَيُحِقُّ اُ۬لْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ اِ۬لصُّدُورِۖ ﰕ

Am yaqûlûna ftarê ‘alâ llâhi kadhiban fa'iy yasha'i llâhu yakhtim ‘alâ qalbika wayamhu llâhu lbâtila wayuhiqqu lhaqqa bikalimâtihî innahû ‘alîmum bidhâti ssudûr

Ou bien ils disent il a inventé un mensonge contre Allah. Or, si Allah voulait, Il scellerait ton cœur. Par Ses Paroles cependant, Allah efface le faux et confirme le vrai. Il connaît parfaitement le contenu des poitrines

Or do they say, "He has invented about Allah a lie"? But if Allah willed, He could seal over your heart. And Allah eliminates falsehood and establishes the truth by His words. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts

وَهُوَ اَ۬لذِے يَقْبَلُ اُ۬لتَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَعْفُواْ عَنِ اِ۬لسَّيِّـَٔاتِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا يَفْعَلُونَۖ ﰖ

Wahuwa lladhî yaqbalu ttawbata ‘an ‘ibâdihî waya‘fû ‘ani ssayyi'âti waya‘lamu mâ yaf‘alûn

Et c'est lui qui agrée de Ses serviteurs le repentir, pardonne les méfaits et sait ce que vous faites

And it is He who accepts repentance from his servants and pardons misdeeds, and He knows what you do

وَيَسْتَجِيبُ اُ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُ۬لصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَيَزِيدُهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦۖ وَالْكَٰفِرُونَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٞ شَدِيدٞۖ ﰗ

Wayastajîbu lladhîna âmanû wa‘amilû ssâlihâti wayazîduhum min fadlihî walkâfirûna lahum ‘adhâbun shadîd

et exauce [les vœux] de ceux qui croient et accomplissent les bonnes œuvres et leur accroît Sa faveur, tandis que les mécréants ont un dur châtiment

And He answers [the supplication of] those who have believed and done righteous deeds and increases [for] them from His bounty. But the disbelievers will have a severe punishment

۞ وَلَوْ بَسَطَ اَ۬للَّهُ اُ۬لرِّزْقَ لِعِبَادِهِۦ لَبَغَوْاْ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ وَلَٰكِنْ يُّنَزِّلُ بِقَدَرٖ مَّا يَشَآءُۖ اِ۪نَّهُۥ بِعِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرُۢ بَصِيرٞۖ ﰘ

Walaw basata llâhu rrizqa li‘ibâdihî labaghaw fî lardi walâkiy yunazzilu biqadarim mâ yashâ'u nnahû bi‘ibâdihî khabîrum basîr

Si Allah attribuait Ses dons avec largesse à [tous] Ses serviteurs, ils commettraient des abus sur la terre; mais, Il fait descendre avec mesure ce qu'Il veut. Il connaît parfaitement Ses serviteurs et en est Clairvoyant

And if Allah had extended [excessively] provision for His servants, they would have committed tyranny throughout the earth. But He sends [it] down in an amount which He wills. Indeed He is, of His servants, Acquainted and Seeing

وَهُوَ اَ۬لذِے يُنَزِّلُ اُ۬لْغَيْثَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا قَنَطُواْ وَيَنشُرُ رَحْمَتَهُۥۖ وَهُوَ اَ۬لْوَلِيُّ اُ۬لْحَمِيدُۖ ﰙ

Wahuwa lladhî yunazzilu lghaytha mim ba‘di mâ qanatû wayanshuru rahmatahû wahuwa lwaliyyu lhamîd

Et c'est Lui qui fait descendre la pluie après qu'on en a désespéré, et répand Sa miséricorde. Et c'est Lui le Maître, le Digne de louange

And it is He who sends down the rain after they had despaired and spreads His mercy. And He is the Protector, the Praiseworthy

وَمِنَ اٰيَٰتِهِۦ خَلْقُ اُ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِ وَمَا بَثَّ فِيهِمَا مِن دَآبَّةٖۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ جَمْعِهِمُۥٓ إِذَا يَشَآءُ قَدِيرٞۖ ﰚ

Wamina âyâtihî khalqu ssamâwâti walardi wamâ baththa fîhimâ min dâbbatin wahuwa ‘alâ jam‘ihimû idhâ yashâ'u qadîr

Parmi Ses preuves est la création des cieux et de la terre et des êtres vivants qu'Il y a disséminés. Il a en outre le pouvoir de les réunir quand Il voudra

And of his signs is the creation of the heavens and earth and what He has dispersed throughout them of creatures. And He, for gathering them when He wills, is competent

وَمَآ أَصَٰبَكُم مِّن مُّصِيبَةِۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتَ اَيْدِيكُمْ وَيَعْفُواْ عَن كَثِيرٖۖ ﰛ

Wamâ asâbakum mim musîbatim bimâ kasabata ydîkum waya‘fû ‘an kathîr

Tout malheur qui vous atteint est dû à ce que vos mains ont acquis. Et Il pardonne beaucoup

And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much

وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِ مِنْ وَّلِيّٖ وَلَا نَصِيرٖۖ ﰜ

Wamâ antum bimu‘jizîna fî lardi wamâ lakum min dûni llâhi miw waliyyin walâ nasîr

Vous ne pouvez pas échapper à la puissance d'Allah sur la terre; et vous n'avez en dehors d'Allah, ni maître ni défenseur

And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth. And you have not besides Allah any protector or helper

وَمِنَ اٰيَٰتِهِ اِ۬لْجَوَارِۦ فِے اِ۬لْبَحْرِ كَالَاعْلَٰمِۖ إِنْ يَّشَأْ يُسْكِنِ اِ۬لرِّيَٰحَ فَيَظْلَلْنَ رَوَاكِدَ عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِهِۦٓ إِنَّ فِے ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّكُلِّ صَبّ۪ارٖ شَكُورٍ ﰝ

Wamina âyâtihi ljawârî fî lbahri kala‘lâmi iy yasha' yuskini rriyâha fayazlalna rawâkida ‘alâ zahrihî inna fî dhâlika la'yâtil likulli sabbêrin shakûr

Et parmi Ses preuves, sont les vaisseaux à travers la mer, semblables à des montagnes S'Il veut, Il calme le vent, et les voilà qui restent immobiles à sa surface. Ce sont certainement là des preuves pour tout [homme] endurant et reconnaissant

And of His signs are the ships in the sea, like mountains If He willed, He could still the wind, and they would remain motionless on its surface. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful

اَوْ يُوبِقْهُنَّ بِمَا كَسَبُواْ وَيَعْفُ عَن كَثِيرٖۖ ﰞ

Aw yûbiqhunna bimâ kasabû waya‘fu ‘an kathîr

Ou bien, Il les détruit en punition de ce qu'ils ont acquis [comme péchés]. Cependant, Il pardonne beaucoup

Or He could destroy them for what they earned; but He pardons much

وَيَعْلَمُ اُ۬لذِينَ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِےٓ ءَايَٰتِنَا مَا لَهُم مِّن مَّحِيصٖۖ ﰟ

Waya‘lamu lladhîna yujâdilûna fî âyâtinâ mâ lahum mim mahîs

Ceux qui disputent à propos de Nos preuves savent bien qu'ils n'ont pas d'échappatoire

And [that is so] those who dispute concerning Our signs may know that for them there is no place of escape

فَمَآ أُوتِيتُم مِّن شَےْءٖ فَمَتَٰعُ اُ۬لْحَيَوٰةِ اِ۬لدُّنْي۪اۖ وَمَا عِندَ اَ۬للَّهِ خَيْرٞ وَأَبْق۪ىٰ لِلذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَۖ ﰠ

Famâ ûtîtum min shay'in famatâ‘u lhayawâti ddunyê wamâ ‘inda llâhi khayrun wa'abqê lilladhîna âmanû wa‘alâ rabbihim yatawakkalûn

Tout ce qui vous a été donné [comme bien] n'est que jouissance de la vie présente; mais ce qui est auprès d'Allah est meilleur et plus durable pour ceux qui ont cru et qui placent leur confiance en leur Seigneur

So whatever thing you have been given - it is but [for] enjoyment of the worldly life. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely

وَالذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَٰٓئِرَ اَ۬لِاثْمِ وَالْفَوَٰحِشَ وَإِذَا مَا غَضِبُواْ هُمْ يَغْفِرُونَۖ ﰡ

Walladhîna yajtanibûna kabâ'ira lithmi walfawâhisha wa'idhâ mâ ghadibû hum yaghfirûn

qui évitent [de commettre] les péchés les plus graves ainsi que les turpitudes, et qui pardonnent après s'être mis en colère

And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive

وَالذِينَ اَ۪سْتَجَابُواْ لِرَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُواْ اُ۬لصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَمْرُهُمْ شُور۪ىٰ بَيْنَهُمْ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَۖ ﰢ

Walladhîna stajâbû lirabbihim wa'aqâmû ssalawâta wa'amruhum shûrê baynahum wamimmâ razaqnâhum yunfiqûn

qui répondent à l'appel de leur Seigneur, accomplissent la Salât, se consultent entre eux à propos de leurs affaires, dépensent de ce que Nous leur attribuons

And those who have responded to their lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what We have provided them, they spend

وَالذِينَ إِذَآ أَصَابَهُمُ اُ۬لْبَغْيُ هُمْ يَنتَصِرُونَۖ ﰣ

Walladhîna idhâ asâbahumu lbaghyu hum yantasirûn

et qui, atteints par l'injustice, ripostent

And those who, when tyranny strikes them, they defend themselves

وَجَزَٰٓؤُاْ سَيِّئَةٖ سَيِّئَةٞ مِّثْلُهَاۖ فَمَنْ عَفَا وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَجْرُهُۥ عَلَى اَ۬للَّهِۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ اُ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَۖ ﰤ

Wajazâ'u sayyî'atin sayyî'atum mithluhâ faman ‘afâ wa'aslaha fa'ajruhû ‘alâ llâhi innahû lâ yuhibbu zzâlimîn

La sanction d'une mauvaise action est une mauvaise action [une peine] identique. Mais quiconque pardonne et réforme, son salaire incombe à Allah. Il n'aime point les injustes

And the retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is [due] from Allah. Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers

وَلَمَنِ اِ۪نتَصَرَ بَعْدَ ظُلْمِهِۦ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مَا عَلَيْهِم مِّن سَبِيلٍۖ ﰥ

Walamani ntasara ba‘da zulmihî fa'ulâ'ika mâ ‘alayhim min sabîl

Quant à ceux qui ripostent après avoir été lésés, ...ceux-là pas de voie (recours légal) contre eux

And whoever avenges himself after having been wronged - those have not upon them any cause [for blame]

۞ اِنَّمَا اَ۬لسَّبِيلُ عَلَى اَ۬لذِينَ يَظْلِمُونَ اَ۬لنَّاسَ وَيَبْغُونَ فِے اِ۬لَارْضِ بِغَيْرِ اِ۬لْحَقِّۖ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيمٞۖ ﰦ

Innamâ ssabîlu ‘alâ lladhîna yazlimûna nnâsa wayabghûna fî lardi bighayri lhaqqi ulâ'ika lahum ‘adhâbuna lîm

il n'y a de voie [de recours] que contre ceux qui lèsent les gens et commettent des abus, contrairement au droit, sur la terre: ceux-là auront un châtiment douloureux

The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment

وَلَمَن صَبَرَ وَغَفَرَ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمِنْ عَزْمِ اِ۬لُامُورِۖ ﰧ

Walaman sabara waghafara inna dhâlika lamin ‘azmi lumûr

Et celui qui endure et pardonne, cela en vérité, fait partie des bonnes dispositions et de la résolution dans les affaires

And whoever is patient and forgives - indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination

وَمَنْ يُّضْلِلِ اِ۬للَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنْ وَّلِيّٖ مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِۦۖ وَتَرَى اَ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَ لَمَّا رَأَوُاْ اُ۬لْعَذَابَ يَقُولُونَ هَلِ اِلَىٰ مَرَدّٖ مِّن سَبِيلٖۖ ﰨ

Wamay yudlili llâhu famâ lahû miw waliyyim mim ba‘dihî watarâ zzâlimîna lammâ ra'awu l‘adhâba yaqûlûna hali lâ maraddim min sabîl

Et quiconque Allah égare n'a aucun protecteur après Lui. Cependant tu verras les injustes dire, en voyant le châtiment: «Y a-t-il un moyen de retourner [sur terre]?»

And he whom Allah sends astray - for him there is no protector beyond Him. And you will see the wrongdoers, when they see the punishment, saying, "Is there for return [to the former world] any way

وَتَر۪يٰهُمْ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا خَٰشِعِينَۖ مِنَ اَ۬لذُّلِّ يَنظُرُونَ مِن طَرْفٍ خَفِيّٖۖ وَقَالَ اَ۬لذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِنَّ اَ۬لْخَٰسِرِينَ اَ۬لذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ اَ۬لْقِيَٰمَةِۖ أَلَآ إِنَّ اَ۬لظَّٰلِمِينَ فِے عَذَابٖ مُّقِيمٖۖ ﰩ

Watarêhum yu‘radûna ‘alayhâ khâshi‘îna mina dhdhulli yanzurûna min tarfin khafiyyin waqâla lladhîna âmanû inna lkhâsirîna lladhîna khasirû anfusahum wa'ahlîhim yawma lqiyâmati alâ inna zzâlimîna fî ‘adhâbim muqîm

Et tu les verras exposés devant l'Enfer, confondus dans l'avilissement, et regardant d'un œil furtif, tandis que ceux qui ont cru diront: «Les perdants sont certes, ceux qui au Jour de la Résurrection font leur propre perte et celle de leurs familles». Les injustes subiront certes un châtiment permanent

And you will see them being exposed to the Fire, humbled from humiliation, looking from [behind] a covert glance. And those who had believed will say, "Indeed, the [true] losers are the ones who lost themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, the wrongdoers are in an enduring punishment

وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ اَوْلِيَآءَ يَنصُرُونَهُم مِّن دُونِ اِ۬للَّهِۖ وَمَنْ يُّضْلِلِ اِ۬للَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن سَبِيلٍۖ ﰪ

Wamâ kâna lahum mina wliyâ'a yansurûnahum min dûni llâhi wamay yudlili llâhu famâ lahû min sabîl

Ils n'auront pas de protecteur en dehors d'Allah pour les secourir et quiconque Allah égare n'a plus aucune voie

And there will not be for them any allies to aid them other than Allah. And whoever Allah sends astray - for him there is no way

اِ۪سْتَجِيبُواْ لِرَبِّكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَنْ يَّاتِيَ يَوْمٞ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥ مِنَ اَ۬للَّهِۖ مَا لَكُم مِّن مَّلْجَإٖ يَوْمَئِذٖۖ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن نَّكِيرٖۖ ﰫ

Istajîbû lirabbikum min qabli ay yâtiya yawmul lâ maradda lahû mina llâhi mâ lakum mim malja'in yawma'idhin wamâ lakum min nakîr

Répondez à l'appel de votre Seigneur avant que ne vienne un jour dont Allah ne reportera jamais le terme. Ce jour-là, nul refuge pour vous et vous ne pourrez point nier (vos péchés)

Respond to your Lord before a Day comes from Allah of which there is no repelling. No refuge will you have that day, nor for you will there be any denial

فَإِنَ اَعْرَضُواْ فَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظاًۖ اِنْ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا اَ۬لْبَلَٰغُۖ وَإِنَّآ إِذَآ أَذَقْنَا اَ۬لِانسَٰنَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةٗ فَرِحَ بِهَاۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةُۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتَ اَيْدِيهِمْ فَإِنَّ اَ۬لِانسَٰنَ كَفُورٞۖ ﰬ

Fa'ina ‘radû famâ arsalnâka ‘alayhim hafîzani n ‘alayka illâ lbalâghu wa'innâ idhâ adhaqnâ linsâna minnâ rahmatan fariha bihâ wa'in tusibhum sayyî'atum bimâ qaddamata ydîhim fa'inna linsâna kafûr

S'ils se détournent, ...Nous ne t'avons pas envoyé pour assurer leur sauvegarde: tu n'es chargé que de transmettre [le message]. Et lorsque Nous faisons goûter à l'homme une miséricorde venant de Nous, il en exulte; mais si un malheur les atteint pour ce que leurs mains ont perpétré..., l'homme est alors très ingrat

But if they turn away - then We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], over them as a guardian; upon you is only [the duty of] notification. And indeed, when We let man taste mercy from us, he rejoices in it; but if evil afflicts him for what his hands have put forth, then indeed, man is ungrateful

لِّلهِ مُلْكُ اُ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالَارْضِۖ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُۖ يَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَّشَآءُ اِ۪نَٰثاٗ وَيَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَّشَآءُ اُ۬لذُّكُورَ ﰭ

Lillâhi mulku ssamâwâti walardi yakhluqu mâ yashâ'u yahabu limay yashâ'u nâthan wayahabu limay yashâ'u dhdhukûr

A Allah appartient la royauté des cieux et de la terre. Il crée ce qu'Il veut. Il fait don de filles à qui Il veut, et don de garçons à qui Il veut

To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He creates what he wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males

أَوْ يُزَوِّجُهُمْ ذُكْرَاناٗ وَإِنَٰثاٗ وَيَجْعَلُ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ عَقِيماًۖ اِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٞ قَدِيرٞۖ ﰮ

Aw yuzawwijuhum dhukrânan wa'inâthan wayaj‘alu may yashâ'u ‘aqîmani nnahû ‘alîmun qadîr

ou bien Il donne à la fois garçons et filles; et Il rend stérile qui Il veut. Il est certes Omniscient et Omnipotent

Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent

۞ وَمَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ اَنْ يُّكَلِّمَهُ اُ۬للَّهُ إِلَّا وَحْياً اَوْ مِنْ وَّرَآءِےْ حِجَابٍ اَوْ يُرْسِلُ رَسُولاٗ فَيُوحِے بِإِذْنِهِۦ مَا يَشَآءُۖ اِ۪نَّهُۥ عَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٞۖ ﰯ

Wamâ kâna libasharina y yukallimahu llâhu illâ wahyana w miw warâ'iy hijâbina w yursilu rasûlan fayûhî bi'idhnihî mâ yashâ'u nnahû ‘aliyyun hakîm

Il n'a pas été donné à un mortel qu'Allah lui parle autrement que par révélation ou de derrière un voile, ou qu'Il [Lui] envoie un messager (Ange) qui révèle, par Sa permission, ce qu'Il [Allah] veut. Il est Sublime et Sage

And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Most High and Wise

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ رُوحاٗ مِّنَ اَمْرِنَاۖ مَا كُنتَ تَدْرِے مَا اَ۬لْكِتَٰبُ وَلَا اَ۬لِايمَٰنُۖ وَلَٰكِن جَعَلْنَٰهُ نُوراٗ نَّهْدِے بِهِۦ مَن نَّشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَاۖ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَهْدِےٓ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسْتَقِيمٖ ﰰ

Wakadhâlika awhaynâ ilayka rûham mina mrinâ mâ kunta tadrî mâ lkitâbu walâ lîmânu walâkin ja‘alnâhu nûran nahdî bihî man nashâ'u min ‘ibâdinâ wa'innaka latahdî ilâ sirâtim mustaqîm

Et c'est ainsi que Nous t'avons révélé un esprit [le Coran] provenant de Notre ordre. Tu n'avais aucune connaissance du Livre ni de la foi; mais Nous en avons fait une lumière par laquelle Nous guidons qui Nous voulons parmi Nos serviteurs. Et en vérité tu guides vers un chemin droit

And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muhammad], you guide to a straight path

صِرَٰطِ اِ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لذِے لَهُۥ مَا فِے اِ۬لسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِے اِ۬لَارْضِۖ أَلَآ إِلَى اَ۬للَّهِ تَصِيرُ اُ۬لُامُورُۖ ﰱ

Sirâti llâhi lladhî lahû mâ fî ssamâwâti wamâ fî lardi alâ ilâ llâhi tasîru lumûr

le chemin d'Allah à Qui appartient ce qui est dans les cieux et ce qui est sur la terre. Oui c'est à Allah que s'acheminent toutes les choses

The path of Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Unquestionably, to Allah do [all] matters evolve
