سُورَةُ القَمَر

54. Al-Qamar · Muhammad Hamidullah · Saheeh International

55 versets

بِسْمِ اِ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لرَّحْمَٰنِ اِ۬لرَّحِيمِ Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux. In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

1

اُ۪قْتَرَبَتِ اِ۬لسَّاعَةُ وَانشَقَّ اَ۬لْقَمَرُۖ ﰀ

Uqtarabati ssâ‘atu wânshaqqa lqamar

L'Heure approche et la Lune s'est fendue

The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two]

2

وَإِنْ يَّرَوَاْ اٰيَةٗ يُعْرِضُواْ وَيَقُولُواْ سِحْرٞ مُّسْتَمِرّٞۖ ﰁ

Wa'iy yarawa âyatan yu‘ridû wayaqûlû sihrum mustamirr

Et s'ils voient un prodige, ils s'en détournent et disent: «Une magie persistante»

And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic

3

وَكَذَّبُواْ وَاتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْۖ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٖ مُّسْتَقِرّٞۖ ﰂ

Wakadhdhabû wattaba‘û ahwâ'ahum wakullu amrim mustaqirr

Et ils [le] traitent de mensonge et suivent leurs propres impulsions, or chaque chose arrivera à son terme [et son but]

And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement

4

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ اَ۬لَانۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌۖ ﰃ

Walaqad jâ'ahum mina lambâ'i mâ fîhi muzdajar

Ils ont pourtant reçu comme nouvelles de quoi les empêcher (du mal)

And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence

5

حِكْمَةُۢ بَٰلِغَةٞۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ اِ۬لنُّذُرُۖ ﰄ

Hikmatum bâlighatun famâ tughni nnudhur

[Cela est] une sagesse parfaite. Mais les avertissements ne [leur] servent à rien

Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them]

6

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْۖ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ اُ۬لدَّاعِۦٓ إِلَىٰ شَےْءٖ نُّكُرٍ ﰅ

Fatawalla ‘anhum yawma yad‘u ddâ‘î ilâ shay'in nukur

Détourne-toi d'eux. Le jour où l'appeleur appellera vers une chose affreuse

So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding

خُشَّعاً اَبْصَٰرُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ اَ۬لَاجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٞ مُّنتَشِرٞ ﰆ

Khushsha‘ana bsâruhum yakhrujûna mina lajdâthi ka'annahum jarâdum muntashir

les regards baissés, ils sortiront des tombes comme des sauterelles éparpillées

Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading

8

مُّهْطِعِينَ إِلَى اَ۬لدَّاعِۦۖ يَقُولُ اُ۬لْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٞۖ ﰇ

Muhti‘îna ilâ ddâ‘î yaqûlu lkâfirûna hâdhâ yawmun ‘asir

courant, le cou tendu, vers l'appeleur. Les mécréants diront: «Voilà un jour difficile»

Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day

9

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٖ فَكَذَّبُواْ عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُواْ مَجْنُونٞ وَازْدُجِرَۖ ﰈ

Kadhdhabat qablahum qawmu nûhin fakadhdhabû ‘abdanâ waqâlû majnûnun wazdujir

Avant eux, le peuple de Noé avait crié au mensonge. Ils traitèrent Notre serviteur de menteur et dirent: «C'est un possédé!» et il fut repoussé

The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled

10

۞ فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّے مَغْلُوبٞ فَانتَصِرْۖ ﰉ

Fada‘â rabbahû annî maghlûbun fântasir

Il invoqua donc son Seigneur: «Moi, je suis vaincu. Fais triompher (Ta cause)»

So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help

11

فَفَتَحْنَآ أَبْوَٰبَ اَ۬لسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٖ مُّنْهَمِرٖۖ ﰊ

Fafatahnâ abwâba ssamâ'i bimâ'im munhamir

Nous ouvrîmes alors les portes du ciel à une eau torrentielle

Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down

12

وَفَجَّرْنَا اَ۬لَارْضَ عُيُوناٗ فَالْتَقَى اَ۬لْمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٖ قَدْ قُدِرَۖ ﰋ

Wafajjarnâ larda ‘uyûnan faltaqâ lmâ'u ‘alâ amrin qad qudir

et fîmes jaillir la terre en sources. Les eaux se rencontrèrent d'après un ordre qui était déjà décrété dans une chose [faite]

And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined

13

وَحَمَلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَٰحٖ وَدُسُرٖۖ ﰌ

Wahamalnâhu ‘alâ dhâti alwâhin wadusur

Et Nous le portâmes sur un objet [fait] de planches et de clous [l'arche]

And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails

14

تَجْرِے بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَآءٗ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَۖ ﰍ

Tajrî bi'a‘yuninâ jazâ'al liman kâna kufir

voguant sous Nos yeux: récompense pour celui qu'on avait renié [Noé]

Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied

15

وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَٰهَآ ءَايَةٗ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖۖ ﰎ

Walaqad taraknâhâ âyatan fahal mim muddakir

Et Nous la laissâmes, comme un signe [d'avertissement]. Y a-t-il quelqu'un pour réfléchir

And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember

16

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِے وَنُذُرِۦۖ ﰏ

Fakayfa kâna ‘adhâbî wanudhurî

Comment furent Mon châtiment et Mes avertissements

And how [severe] were My punishment and warning

17

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا اَ۬لْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖۖ ﰐ

Walaqad yassarnâ lqur'âna lidhdhikri fahal mim muddakir

En effet, Nous avons rendu le Coran facile pour la méditation. Y a-t-il quelqu'un pour réfléchir

And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember

18

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٞ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِے وَنُذُرِۦٓۖ ﰑ

Kadhdhabat ‘âdun fakayfa kâna ‘adhâbî wanudhurî

Les 'Aad ont traité de menteur (leur Messager). Comment furent Mon châtiment et Mes avertissements

Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning

19

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحاٗ صَرْصَراٗ فِے يَوْمِ نَحْسٖ مُّسْتَمِرّٖ ﰒ

Innâ arsalnâ ‘alayhim rîhan sarsaran fî yawmi nahsim mustamirr

Nous avons envoyé contre eux un vent violent et glacial, en un jour néfaste et interminable

Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune

20

تَنزِعُ اُ۬لنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمُۥٓ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٖ مُّنقَعِرٖۖ ﰓ

Tanzi‘u nnâsa ka'annahumû a‘jâzu nakhlim munqa‘ir

il arrachait les gens comme des souches de palmiers déracinés

Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted

21

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِے وَنُذُرِۦۖ ﰔ

Fakayfa kâna ‘adhâbî wanudhurî

Comment furent Mon châtiment et Mes avertissements

And how [severe] were My punishment and warning

22

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا اَ۬لْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖۖ ﰕ

Walaqad yassarnâ lqur'âna lidhdhikri fahal mim muddakir

En effet, Nous avons rendu le Coran facile pour la méditation. Y a-t-il quelqu'un pour réfléchir

And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember

23

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِالنُّذُرِۖ ﰖ

Kadhdhabat thamûdu binnudhur

Les Thamûd ont traité de mensonges les avertissements

Thamud denied the warning

24

فَقَالُوٓاْ أَبَشَراٗ مِّنَّا وَٰحِداٗ نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذاٗ لَّفِے ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٍ ﰗ

Faqâlû abasharam minnâ wâhidan nattabi‘uhû innâ idhal lafî dalâlin wasu‘ur

Ils dirent: «Allons-nous suivre un seul homme (Sâlih) d'entre nous-mêmes? Nous serions alors dans l'égarement et la folie

And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness

25

اَ۟لْقِيَ اَ۬لذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ اَشِرٞۖ ﰘ

Alqiya dhdhikru ‘alayhi mim bayninâ bal huwa kadhdhâbuna shir

Est-ce que le message a été envoyé à Lui à l'exception de nous tous? C'est plutôt un grand menteur, plein de prétention et d'orgueil»

Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar

26

سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَداٗ مَّنِ اِ۬لْكَذَّابُ اُ۬لَاشِرُۖ ﰙ

Saya‘lamûna ghadam mani lkadhdhâbu lashir

Demain, ils sauront qui est le grand menteur plein de prétention et d'orgueil

They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar

27

إِنَّا مُرْسِلُواْ اُ۬لنَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةٗ لَّهُمْ فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ وَاصْطَبِرْۖ ﰚ

Innâ mursilû nnâqati fitnatal lahum fartaqibhum wastabir

Nous leur enverrons la chamelle, comme épreuve. Surveille-les donc et sois patient

Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient

28

وَنَبِّئْهُمُۥٓ أَنَّ اَ۬لْمَآءَ قِسْمَةُۢ بَيْنَهُمْۖ كُلُّ شِرْبٖ مُّحْتَضَرٞۖ ﰛ

Wanabbî'humû anna lmâ'a qismatum baynahum kullu shirbim muhtadar

Et informe-les que l'eau sera en partage entre eux [et la chamelle]; chacun boira à son tour

And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn]

29

فَنَادَوْاْ صَٰحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاط۪ىٰ فَعَقَرَۖ ﰜ

Fanâdaw sâhibahum fata‘âtê fa‘aqar

Puis ils appelèrent leur camarade qui prit [son épée] et [la] tua

But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her]

30

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِے وَنُذُرِۦٓۖ ﰝ

Fakayfa kâna ‘adhâbî wanudhurî

Comment furent donc Mon châtiment et Mes avertissements

And how [severe] were My punishment and warning

31

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ فَكَانُواْ كَهَشِيمِ اِ۬لْمُحْتَظِرِۖ ﰞ

Innâ arsalnâ ‘alayhim sayhatan wâhidatan fakânû kahashîmi lmuhtazir

Nous lachâmes sur eux un seul Cri, et voilà qu'ils furent réduits à l'état de paille d'étable

Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen

32

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا اَ۬لْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖۖ ﰟ

Walaqad yassarnâ lqur'âna lidhdhikri fahal mim muddakir

Et vraiment, Nous avons rendu le Coran facile pour la méditation. Y a-t-il quelqu'un pour réfléchir

And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember

33

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطِۢ بِالنُّذُرِۖ ﰠ

Kadhdhabat qawmu lûtim binnudhur

Le peuple de Lot traita de mensonges les avertissements

The people of Lot denied the warning

34

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِباً اِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٖ نَّجَّيْنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٖۖ ﰡ

Innâ arsalnâ ‘alayhim hâsibani llâ âla lûtin najjaynâhum bisahar

Nous lachâmes sur eux un ouragan, excepté la famille de Lot que Nous sauvâmes avant l'aube

Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn

35

نِّعْمَةٗ مِّنْ عِندِنَاۖ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِے مَن شَكَرَۖ ﰢ

Ni‘matam min ‘indinâ kadhâlika najzî man shakar

à titre de bienfait de Notre part: ainsi récompensons-Nous celui qui est reconnaissant

As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful

36

وَلَقَدَ اَنذَرَهُم بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْاْ بِالنُّذُرِۖ ﰣ

Walaqada ndharahum batshatanâ fatamâraw binnudhur

Il les avait pourtant avertis de Nos représailles. Mais ils mirent les avertissements en doute

And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning

37

۞ وَلَقَدْ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيْفِهِۦ فَطَمَسْنَآ أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِے وَنُذُرِۦۖ ﰤ

Walaqad râwadûhu ‘an dayfihî fatamasnâ a‘yunahum fadhûqû ‘adhâbî wanudhurî

En effet, ils voulaient séduire ses hôtes. Nous aveuglâmes leurs yeux «Goûtez donc Mon châtiment et Mes avertissements»

And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], "Taste My punishment and warning

38

وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُم بُكْرَةً عَذَابٞ مُّسْتَقِرّٞۖ ﰥ

Walaqad sabbahahum bukratan ‘adhâbum mustaqirr

En effet, au petit matin, un châtiment persistant les surprit

And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment

39

فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِے وَنُذُرِۦۖ ﰦ

Fadhûqû ‘adhâbî wanudhurî

Goûtez donc Mon châtiment et Mes avertissements

So taste My punishment and warning

40

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا اَ۬لْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖۖ ﰧ

Walaqad yassarnâ lqur'âna lidhdhikri fahal mim muddakir

Et vraiment, Nous avons rendu le Coran facile pour la méditation. Y a-t-il quelqu'un pour réfléchir

And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember

41

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَ ا۟لَ فِرْعَوْنَ اَ۬لنُّذُرُۖ ﰨ

Walaqad jâ'a ula fir‘awna nnudhur

Les avertissements vinrent certes, aux gens de Pharaon

And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning

42

كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَٰهُمُۥٓ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٖ مُّقْتَدِرٍۖ ﰩ

Kadhdhabû bi'âyâtinâ kullihâ fa'akhadhnâhumû akhdha ‘azîzim muqtadir

Ils traitèrent de mensonges tous Nos prodiges. Nous les saisîmes donc, de la saisie d'un Puissant Omnipotent

They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability

43

اَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٞ مِّنُ ا۟وْلَٰٓئِكُمُۥٓ أَمْ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٞ فِے اِ۬لزُّبُرِۖ ﰪ

Akuffârukum khayrum minu ulâ'ikumû am lakum barâ'atun fî zzubur

Vos mécréants sont-ils meilleurs que ceux-là? Ou bien y a-t-il dans les Ecritures une immunité pour vous

Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture

44

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٞ مُّنتَصِرٞۖ ﰫ

Am yaqûlûna nahnu jamî‘um muntasir

Ou bien ils disent: «Nous formons un groupe [fort] et nous vaincrons»

Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]

45

سَيُهْزَمُ اُ۬لْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ اَ۬لدُّبُرَۖ ﰬ

Sayuhzamu ljam‘u wayuwallûna ddubur

Leur rassemblement sera bientôt mis en déroute, et ils fuiront

[Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]

46

بَلِ اِ۬لسَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْۖ وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْه۪ىٰ وَأَمَرُّۖ ﰭ

Bali ssâ‘atu maw‘iduhum wassâ‘atu adhê wa'amarr

L'Heure, plutôt, sera leur rendez-vous, et l'Heure sera plus terrible et plus amère

But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter

47

إِنَّ اَ۬لْمُجْرِمِينَ فِے ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٖ ﰮ

Inna lmujrimîna fî dalâlin wasu‘ur

Les criminels sont certes, dans l'égarement et la folie

Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness

48

يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِے اِ۬لنّ۪ارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُواْ مَسَّ سَقَرَۖ ﰯ

Yawma yushabûna fî nnêri ‘alâ wujûhihim dhûqû massa saqar

Le jour où on les traînera dans le Feu sur leurs visages, (on leur dira): «Goûtez au contact de Saqar [la chaleur brûlante de l'Enfer]»

The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar

49

إِنَّا كُلَّ شَےْءٍ خَلَقْنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٖۖ ﰰ

Innâ kulla shay'in khalaqnâhu biqadar

Nous avons créé toute chose avec mesure

Indeed, all things We created with predestination

50

وَمَآ أَمْرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٞ كَلَمْحِۢ بِالْبَصَرِۖ ﰱ

Wamâ amrunâ illâ wâhidatun kalamhim bilbasar

et Notre ordre est une seule [parole]; [il est prompt] comme un clin d'œil

And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye

51

وَلَقَدَ اَهْلَكْنَآ أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖۖ ﰲ

Walaqada hlaknâ ashyâ‘akum fahal mim muddakir

En effet, nous avons fait périr des peuples semblables à vous. Y a-t-il quelqu'un pour s'en souvenir

And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember

52

وَكُلُّ شَےْءٖ فَعَلُوهُ فِے اِ۬لزُّبُرِۖ ﰳ

Wakullu shay'in fa‘alûhu fî zzubur

Et tout ce qu'ils ont fait est mentionné dans les registres

And everything they did is in written records

53

وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٖ وَكَبِيرٖ مُّسْتَطَرٌۖ ﰴ

Wakullu saghîrin wakabîrim mustatar

et tout fait, petit et grand, est consigné

And every small and great [thing] is inscribed

54

اِنَّ اَ۬لْمُتَّقِينَ فِے جَنَّٰتٖ وَنَهَرٖ ﰵ

Inna lmuttaqîna fî jannâtin wanahar

Les pieux seront dans des Jardins et parmi des ruisseaux

Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers

55

فِے مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٖ مُّقْتَدِرٍۖ ﰶ

Fî maq‘adi sidqin ‘inda malîkim muqtadir

dans un séjour de vérité, auprès d'un Souverain Omnipotent

In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability
