سُورَةُ الذَّاريَات

51. Adh-Dhāriyāt · Muhammad Hamidullah · Saheeh International

60 verses

بِسْمِ اِ۬للَّهِ اِ۬لرَّحْمَٰنِ اِ۬لرَّحِيمِ Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux. In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

1

وَالذَّٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرْواٗ ﰀ

Wadhdhâriyâti dharwâ

Par les vents qui éparpillent

By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing

2

فَالْحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقْراٗ ﰁ

Falhâmilâti wiqrâ

Par les porteurs de fardeaux

And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water]

3

فَالْجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسْراٗ ﰂ

Faljâriyâti yusrâ

Par les glisseurs agiles

And those [ships] sailing with ease

4

فَالْمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمْراً ﰃ

Falmuqassimâti amrâ

Par les distributeurs selon un commandement

And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter

5

اِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٞ ﰄ

Innamâ tû‘adûna lasâdiq

Ce qui vous est promis est certainement vrai

Indeed, what you are promised is true

6

وَإِنَّ اَ۬لدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٞۖ ﰅ

Wa'inna ddîna lawâqi‘

Et la Rétribution arrivera inévitablement

And indeed, the recompense is to occur

7

وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ اِ۬لْحُبُكِ ﰆ

Wassamâ'i dhâti lhubuk

Par le ciel aux voies parfaitement tracées

By the heaven containing pathways

8

إِنَّكُمْ لَفِے قَوْلٖ مُّخْتَلِفٖ ﰇ

Innakum lafî qawlim mukhtalif

vous divergez sur ce que vous dites

Indeed, you are in differing speech

9

يُوفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنُ ا۟فِكَۖ ﰈ

Yûfaku ‘anhu manu ufik

Est détourné de lui quiconque a été détourné de la foi

Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded

10

قُتِلَ اَ۬لْخَرَّٰصُونَ ﰉ

Qutila lkharrâsûn

Maudits soient les menteurs

Destroyed are the falsifiers

11

اَ۬لذِينَ هُمْ فِے غَمْرَةٖ سَاهُونَۖ ﰊ

Alladhîna hum fî ghamratin sâhûn

qui sont plongés dans l'insouciance

Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless

12

يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ اُ۬لدِّينِ ﰋ

Yas'alûna ayyâna yawmu ddîn

Ils demandent: «A quand le jour de la Rétribution?»

They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense

13

يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى اَ۬لنّ۪ارِ يُفْتَنُونَۖ ﰌ

Yawma hum ‘alâ nnêri yuftanûn

Le jour où ils seront éprouvés au Feu

[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire

14

ذُوقُواْ فِتْنَتَكُمْۖ هَٰذَا اَ۬لذِے كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَۖ ﰍ

Dhûqû fitnatakum hâdhâ lladhî kuntum bihî tasta‘jilûn

«Goûtez à votre épreuve [punition]; voici ce que vous cherchiez à hâter»

[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient

15

إِنَّ اَ۬لْمُتَّقِينَ فِے جَنَّٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ ﰎ

Inna lmuttaqîna fî jannâtin wa‘uyûn

Les pieux seront dans des Jardins et [parmi] des sources

Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs

16

اٰخِذِينَ مَآ ءَات۪يٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمُۥٓۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَۖ ﰏ

Âkhidhîna mâ âtêhum rabbuhumû innahum kânû qabla dhâlika muhsinîn

recevant ce que leur Seigneur leur aura donné. Car ils ont été auparavant des bienfaisants

Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good

17

كَانُواْ قَلِيلاٗۖ مِّنَ اَ۬ليْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَۖ ﰐ

Kânû qalîlam mina llayli mâ yahja‘ûn

ils dormaient peu, la nuit

They used to sleep but little of the night

18

وَبِالَاسْح۪ارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَۖ ﰑ

Wabiâlashêri hum yastaghfirûn

et aux dernières heures de la nuit ils imploraient le pardon [d'Allah]

And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness

19

وَفِےٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقّٞ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِۖ ﰒ

Wafî amwâlihim haqqul lissâ'ili walmahrûm

et dans leurs biens, il y avait un droit au mendiant et au déshérité

And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived

20

وَفِے اِ۬لَارْضِ ءَايَٰتٞ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَۖ ﰓ

Wafî lardi âyâtul lilmûqinîn

Il y a sur terre des preuves pour ceux qui croient avec certitude

And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]

21

وَفِےٓ أَنفُسِكُمُۥٓۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَۖ ﰔ

Wafî anfusikumû afalâ tubsirûn

ainsi qu'en vous-mêmes. N'observez-vous donc pas

And in yourselves. Then will you not see

22

وَفِے اِ۬لسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْۖ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ ﰕ

Wafî ssamâ'i rizqukum wamâ tû‘adûn

Et il y a dans le ciel votre subsistance et ce qui vous a été promis

And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised

23

فَوَرَبِّ اِ۬لسَّمَآءِ وَالَارْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقّٞ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَۖ ﰖ

Fawarabbi ssamâ'i walardi innahû lahaqqum mithla mâ annakum tantiqûn

Par le Seigneur du ciel et de la terre! Ceci est tout aussi vrai que le fait que vous parliez

Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking

24

هَلَ اَت۪يٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ اَ۬لْمُكْرَمِينَ ﰗ

Hala têka hadîthu dayfi ibrâhîma lmukramîn

T'est-il parvenu le récit des visiteurs honorables d'Abraham

Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham

25

إِذْ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰماٗۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٞۖ قَوْمٞ مُّنكَرُونَۖ ﰘ

Idh dakhalû ‘alayhi faqâlû salâman qâla salâmun qawmum munkarûn

Quand ils entrèrent chez lui et dirent: «Paix!», il [leur] dit: «Paix, visiteurs inconnus»

When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown

26

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٖ سَمِينٖ ﰙ

Farâgha ilâ ahlihî fajâ'a bi‘ijlin samîn

Puis il alla discrètement à sa famille et apporta un veau gras

Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf

27

فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَاكُلُونَۖ ﰚ

Faqarrabahû ilayhim qâla alâ tâkulûn

Ensuite il l'approcha d'eux... «Ne mangez-vous pas?» dit-il

And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat

28

فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةٗۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفْۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖۖ ﰛ

Fa'awjasa minhum khîfatan qâlû lâ takhaf wabashsharûhu bighulâmin ‘alîm

Il ressentit alors de la peur vis-à-vis d'eux. Ils dirent: «N'aie pas peur». Et ils lui annoncèrent [la naissance] d'un garçon plein de savoir

And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy

29

فَأَقْبَلَتِ اِ۪مْرَأَتُهُۥ فِے صَرَّةٖ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٞۖ ﰜ

Fa'aqbalati mra'atuhû fî sarratin fasakkat wajhahâ waqâlat ‘ajûzun ‘aqîm

Alors sa femme s'avança en criant, se frappa le visage et dit: «Une vieille femme stérile...»

And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman

30

قَالُواْ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ اَ۬لْحَكِيمُ اُ۬لْعَلِيمُۖ ﰝ

Qâlû kadhâliki qâla rabbuki innahû huwa lhakîmu l‘alîm

Ils dirent: «Ainsi a dit ton Seigneur. C'est Lui vraiment le Sage, l'Omniscient»

They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing

31

۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمُۥٓ أَيُّهَا اَ۬لْمُرْسَلُونَۖ ﰞ

Qâla famâ khatbukumû ayyuhâ lmursalûn

Alors [Abraham] dit: «Quelle est donc votre mission, ô envoyés?»

[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers

32

قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٖ مُّجْرِمِينَ ﰟ

Qâlû innâ ursilnâ ilâ qawmim mujrimîn

Ils dirent: «Nous avons été envoyés vers des gens criminels

They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

33

لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن طِينٖ ﰠ

Linursila ‘alayhim hijâratam min tîn

pour lancer sur eux des pierres de glaise

To send down upon them stones of clay

34

مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَۖ ﰡ

Musawwamatan ‘inda rabbika lilmusrifîn

marquées auprès de ton Seigneur à l'intention des outranciers»

Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors

35

فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ اَ۬لْمُومِنِينَ ﰢ

Fa'akhrajnâ man kâna fîhâ mina lmûminîn

Nous en fîmes sortir alors ce qu'il y avait comme croyants

So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers

36

فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٖ مِّنَ اَ۬لْمُسْلِمِينَ ﰣ

Famâ wajadnâ fîhâ ghayra baytim mina lmuslimîn

mais Nous n'y trouvâmes qu'une seule maison de gens soumis

And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims

37

وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةٗ لِّلذِينَ يَخَافُونَ اَ۬لْعَذَابَ اَ۬لَالِيمَۖ ﰤ

Wataraknâ fîhâ âyatal lilladhîna yakhâfûna l‘adhâba lalîm

Et Nous y laissâmes un signe pour ceux qui redoutent le douloureux châtiment

And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment

38

وَفِے مُوس۪ىٰٓ إِذَ اَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖ ﰥ

Wafî mûsê idha rsalnâhu ilâ fir‘awna bisultânim mubîn

[Il y a même un signe] en Moïse quand Nous l'envoyâmes, avec une preuve évidente, vers Pharaon

And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority

39

فَتَوَلّ۪ىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ اَوْ مَجْنُونٞۖ ﰦ

Fatawallê biruknihî waqâla sâhiruna w majnûn

Mais [celui-ci] se détourna confiant en sa puissance, et dit: «C'est un magicien ou un possédé!»

But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman

40

فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِے اِ۬لْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٞۖ ﰧ

Fa'akhadhnâhu wajunûdahû fanabadhnâhum fî lyammi wahuwa mulîm

Nous le saisîmes ainsi que ses troupes, puis les jetâmes dans les flots, pour son comportement blâmable

So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy

41

وَفِے عَادٍ اِذَ اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ اُ۬لرِّيحَ اَ۬لْعَقِيمَ ﰨ

Wafî ‘âdini dha rsalnâ ‘alayhimu rrîha l‘aqîm

De même pour les 'Aad, quand Nous envoyâmes contre eux le vent dévastateur

And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind

42

مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَےْءٍ اَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِۖ ﰩ

Mâ tadharu min shay'ina tat ‘alayhi illâ ja‘alathu karramîm

n'épargnant rien sur son passage sans le réduire en poussière

It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins

43

وَفِے ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُواْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٖ ﰪ

Wafî thamûda idh qîla lahum tamatta‘û hattâ hîn

De même pour les Thamûd, quand il leur fut dit: «Jouissez jusqu'à un certain temps!»

And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time

44

فَعَتَوْاْ عَنَ اَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ اُ۬لصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَۖ ﰫ

Fa‘ataw ‘ana mri rabbihim fa'akhadhathumu ssâ‘iqatu wahum yanzurûn

Ils défièrent le commandement de leur Seigneur. La foudre les saisit alors qu'ils regardaient

But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on

45

فَمَا اَ۪سْتَطَٰعُواْ مِن قِيَامٖ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنتَصِرِينَۖ ﰬ

Famâ statâ‘û min qiyâmin wamâ kânû muntasirîn

Ils ne purent ni se mettre debout ni être secourus

And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves

46

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٖ مِّن قَبْلُۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ قَوْماٗ فَٰسِقِينَۖ ﰭ

Waqawma nûhim min qablu innahum kânû qawman fâsiqîn

De même, pour le peuple de Noé auparavant. Ils étaient des gens pervers

And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient

47

وَالسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا بِأَيَيْدٖۖ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَۖ ﰮ

Wassamâ'a banaynâhâ bi'ayaydin wa'innâ lamûsi‘ûn

Le ciel, Nous l'avons construit par Notre puissance: et Nous l'étendons [constamment] dans l'immensité

And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander

48

وَالَارْضَ فَرَشْنَٰهَاۖ فَنِعْمَ اَ۬لْمَٰهِدُونَۖ ﰯ

Walarda farashnâhâ fani‘ma lmâhidûn

Et la terre, Nous l'avons étendue. Et de quelle excellente façon Nous l'avons nivelée

And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer

49

وَمِن كُلِّ شَےْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَّكَّرُونَۖ ﰰ

Wamin kulli shay'in khalaqnâ zawjayni la‘allakum tadhdhakkarûn

Et de toute chose Nous avons créé [deux éléments] de couple. Peut-être vous rappellerez-vous

And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember

50

فَفِرُّوٓاْ إِلَى اَ۬للَّهِ إِنِّے لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞۖ ﰱ

Fafirrû ilâ llâhi innî lakum minhu nadhîrum mubîn

«Fuyez donc vers Allah. Moi, je suis pour vous de Sa part, un avertisseur explicite

So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner

51

وَلَا تَجْعَلُواْ مَعَ اَ۬للَّهِ إِلَٰهاً اٰخَرَ إِنِّے لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞۖ ﰲ

Walâ taj‘alû ma‘a llâhi ilâhan âkhara innî lakum minhu nadhîrum mubîn

Ne placez pas avec Allah une autre divinité. Je suis pour vous de Sa part, un avertisseur explicite»

And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner

52

كَذَٰلِكَۖ مَآ أَتَى اَ۬لذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ اِلَّا قَالُواْ سَاحِرٌ اَوْ مَجْنُونٌۖ ﰳ

Kadhâlika mâ atâ lladhîna min qablihim mir rasûlini llâ qâlû sâhiruna w majnûn

Ainsi, aucun Messager n'est venu à leurs prédécesseurs sans qu'ils n'aient dit: «C'est un magicien ou un possédé!»

Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman

53

اَتَوَاصَوْاْ بِهِۦۖ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٞ طَاغُونَۖ ﰴ

Atawâsaw bihî bal hum qawmun tâghûn

Est-ce qu'ils se sont transmis cette injonction? Ils sont plutôt des gens transgresseurs

Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people

54

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٖ ﰵ

Fatawalla ‘anhum famâ anta bimalûm

Détourne-toi d'eux, tu ne seras pas blâmé [à leur sujet]

So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed

55

وَذَكِّرْۖ فَإِنَّ اَ۬لذِّكْر۪ىٰ تَنفَعُ اُ۬لْمُومِنِينَۖ ﰶ

Wadhakkir fa'inna dhdhikrê tanfa‘u lmûminîn

Et rappelle; car le rappel profite aux croyants

And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers

56

۞ وَمَا خَلَقْتُ اُ۬لْجِنَّ وَالِانسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِۖ ﰷ

Wamâ khalaqtu ljinna walinsa illâ liya‘budûn

Je n'ai créé les djinns et les hommes que pour qu'ils M'adorent

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me

57

مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٖ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَنْ يُّطْعِمُونِۖ ﰸ

Mâ urîdu minhum mir rizqin wamâ urîdu ay yut‘imûn

Je ne cherche pas d'eux une subsistance; et Je ne veux pas qu'ils me nourrissent

I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me

58

إِنَّ اَ۬للَّهَ هُوَ اَ۬لرَّزَّاقُ ذُو اُ۬لْقُوَّةِ اِ۬لْمَتِينُۖ ﰹ

Inna llâha huwa rrazzâqu dhû lquwwati lmatîn

En vérité, c'est Allah qui est le Grand Pourvoyeur, Le Détenteur de la force, l'Inébranlable

Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength

59

فَإِنَّ لِلذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذَنُوباٗ مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِۖ ﰺ

Fa'inna lilladhîna zalamû dhanûbam mithla dhanûbi ashâbihim falâ yasta‘jilûn

Ceux qui ont été injustes auront une part [de tourments] pareille à celle de leurs compagnons. Qu'ils ne soient pas trop pressés

And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me

60

فَوَيْلٞ لِّلذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنْ يَّوْمِهِمُ اُ۬لذِے يُوعَدُونَۖ ﰻ

Fawaylul lilladhîna kafarû miy yawmihimu lladhî yû‘adûn

Malheur donc à ceux qui ont mécru à cause du jour dont ils sont menacés

And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised
